Excellent, timely, and friendly service; all for a phenomenally reasonable flat fee, especially given the high quality of service provided!

I am still in the process of going through my bankruptcy (we are filing this week) but so far he has been fantastic. Filing for bankruptcy (due to excessive medical bills) was for frustrating and very embarrassing for me so just going into his office was hard for me. The woman at the front desk - not sure if she's a receptionist or if she does other jobs as well - was very nice, asking us (me and my husband) if we needed/wanted anything. Then we met Mr.Bolger. He is very nice nice and straight to the point. He sees a million bankruptcies a week so he makes you feel very comfortable and all my embarrassment went out the window. He explains the whole process in a very understandable way and helps you out step by step. He also returns emails either the same day or the next, which I think is amazing for a lawyer! I think his price is VERY reasonable and you can pay him all at once, or pay what you can when you can - he's incredible flexible. He also hooked us up with the Finance Director at a Honda dealership who got us a 2013 Honda Pilot pretty suped up, even with our TERRIBLE credit. We financed $34K with a well known bank at 9.5% which may seem high for most, but not somebody about to file for bankruptcy! Also he is probably going to be running for office in his district (somewhere in McLean i think) and said I could help him on his campaign (I'm a SAHM). So I also know he has A LOT of connections. Excellent experience! Would recommend to anybody. I think he also does Titling or some other real estate type stuff but I'm not sure.

Following the sudden loss of financing on my business I was literally at the jump in a lake point when I called Richard, from a goggled number I found online I got a guy who invited me to stop by his office at almost 7 at night. Being at my wits end, he took the time to calm me down and basically stressed everything would be alright that evening. Along the way both he and his staff were very responsive to all our questions, and yes there were times where like the doctor telling you to loose weight he was blunt about the steps we had to take even when I wasn't happy hearing it. In the end he assisted us in exiting the business and went above and beyond in helping us save our vehicles and house. If you need someone to guide you properly when at your lowest point Richard and his team are the ones to turn to.

Mr. Bolger is currently representing me in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing. After twenty-plus years as a successful banker, certified public accountant in both the public and private sectors, and then eight years as English teacher and adjunct professor of developmental writing, I never thought that as I approached retirement age, I would be filing for bankruptcy. Mr. Bolger has guided me through the legal process and preparation of requisite documents. He has also helped me manage the emotional stress of this difficult financial situation. He reinforced my conviction that taking an enormous risk with my life savings investing in the composition of an epic novel was an endeavor worthy of that risk despite the immediate financial consequences. We only go around once, he told me, and it s important to take that risk if this is something you feel you have to do, if you d always regret not having made the attempt. He also informed me that the economic crisis of 2007-2008, which caused a steep decline in the market value of the condominium I purchased in 2005, a contributing factor in my current financial situation, was a crisis of structural proportions, not a trough in the business cycle, that multitudes of people have suffered financial consequences as a result of that crisis, and that the government, the courts, and the marketplace tend to take this into account when assessing and evaluating a bankruptcy filing.

As I am acknowledging my impending bankruptcy, I would like to make two additional statements:

(1) I am pleased with the quality of my product: the epic novel, although unusual in format, is of professional caliber.
(2) Having always been a financially responsible adult, I intend to repay my creditors, although this is neither customary nor expected.

Hiring Richard Bolger for my bankruptcy case was the best decision I made during a very difficult time. I was hesitant and embarrassed about filing, but after the initial consultation with him, I immediately felt the weight lift from my shoulders. Mr. Bolger helped me feel confident about this huge decision and the long term benefits. He was VERY real with me and shifted my thinking away from the negative aspect of my financial situation to the positive results I can create for myself in the future. I was dreading going through my debts with him, but when we did I felt absolutely no judgement from him whatsoever. I never felt judgement from him for anything. Rather, he would say, "You're OK, you just need a fresh start!" Mr. Bolger was patient with me as I had to make payments towards the balance after the retainer was paid. He would check in with me, but wasn't persistent or putting guilt on me for the remaining balance. After we filed, he was always very responsive to my emails and calls when I had questions / concerns. I have to say, the guy was funny and would make me laugh. He brought some humor to the table, which is something I definitely needed. I appreciate his transparency and genuine approach he took with me. Would definitely recommend!

The Bolger Law firm was a great find. 10 years ago I had to go through the process of declaring bankruptcy. When I started the process Richard assured me that if I made smart decisions after the fact then my credit would recover. I followed his advice and was able to reestablish credit gradually. Now that the bankruptcy has dropped from my report I m actually in a better position than before I met Richard Bolger and his team.

Upon my first encounter with Mr. Bolger, he asked for his payment before any communication was made. That seemed odd to me. After my 1 hour consult, he said I could email him with any questions and yet he hasn't responded to my email a week later. Definitely, don't recommend him.
