The location of the hostel is incredible. The breakfast was cheap and very diverse. It is right opposite of the train station and the Speicherstadt can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes. The Alster is very close by and also worth paying a visit to. The room itself was okay but the bathroom was very small.
Sanitary facilities and rooms unacceptably small. Furthermore, I was unable to sleep a minute from the noise at night. No soap etc. not the slightest comfort. From 30 hostels visited so far worldwide one of the lower places. Breakfast was good though, if you catch the bathroom in the hallway it is also spacious.
Modern and new hotel, with good service. We went as a group and the experience was very positive. Cheap and central.

The service here is amazing. The staff at front desk are very friendly and helpful with directions and ideas for outings. The facilities are amazing and everything is very well organized. Strong Wi-Fi connection throughout the building which is what travellers need. Excellent location. The decor is cool.
Only complaints are that the food is ok but there are many cheaper options close by. The bar staff were rude and unprofessional but that is just a one time experience.
Good price in the city centre but bathrooms are incredibly small, shower without handle,wash basins are very small and covered with shelvs,so you don't know how to spit after brushing your teeth and if you want to wash your face only its really hard situation.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Our room has been visited and put upside down during our absence. The watch of my friend has been stolen. The hotel manager just told us to go to the police station and did nothing more. They seem not to care at all of the rooms safety and of this thelf.

Bed in the 6er room was comfortable and there was enough space. Toilet and bath are very small and there is no toilet brush. For 15 per night you can not complain.

Good location. A lot of halal food if you're Muslim. Two bed rooms are smaller than your average hotel room but it does the job. Mostly use it for sleep anyways so doesn't matter much to me. Good customer service that's there when you need them

Bathroom very small. Like in a toilet cabin on a train. But also clean. Gave 1 small, 2 medium sized towels and 1 hair dryer. It could have been one or two more towels.
Beds are small and you twist your neck on the pillows because they are just as flat as stones. When we asked for a second pillow, the front desk couldn't help us, as the "cleaning service" was already gone and they probably lease all the pillows

Room on the 7th floor and on the first day both elevators were broken. On the second one went again, but is extremely slow and rattles worryingly.
On the 2nd day there was no room service, let's see where we can get fresh towels from.
The "bathroom" is more of a wall cabinet with water, in the sink of which the water does not run off.
Therefore 2 stars, still better than sleeping under the bridge.
Update 1: Day 3: Sink has not been repaired yet. Washing is no longer possible. Sleeping under the bridge is now becoming more and more attractive. -> One star
Update 2: Day 4: Sink was not repaired yesterday, it was probably not "worth it" because we are checking out today anyway. Was allowed to move to another room last night. (Wasn't there a judgment on moving rooms while on vacation ... I think that was a 30% discount.
At least we have fresh towels. There are apparently no fresh towels every day, if I have correctly interpreted the murmur of the employee. So don't throw anything on the floor.
Conclusion:
If you're looking for cheap group accommodation, you've come to the right place, but you have to take care of everything yourself (towels, etc.) and should go shopping in the supermarket (bottle of water 6.50, tap water tastes rotten)
Double room: Better to spend a few euros on top and go to a real hotel, is not worth the trouble you have here.
Was nice but a shame they lock the shared bathrooms so you need a key card. Check out should be 11am ): but overall a good hostel and would stay here again. Accidently stole someone's bed and mixed up the whole room so that was nice
The only positive things about this hostel are the prices and the location. There are no hooks or the like for jackets in the room. In our 6-bed room there were 3 seats - 1 beanbag and 2 stools. Both in pretty pink, but unfortunately totally dirty, so that you had to think carefully about sitting. In the shower and toilet areas, the sinks are unfortunately placed in such a way that they cannot be used properly. Soap in the toilet area can also be expected in the low-price range. One towel rail is also not sufficient, see non-existent hooks or hanging options. Check-in and check-out is quick and easy, the staff is friendly.

Shower head really had very little water / pressure.
The door from the room to the bathroom could not be opened 50% because of the bed. So there was saved in the wrong place with the space.
And the bathroom wasn't exactly clean on arrival.
That's it, the hostel is a factory. At the reception at night there is a little mermaid behind the screen that has butterflies on the eyes it's pretty but she does not even smile that goes with it and especially she looks down on you. She is beautiful but has no human warmth. We just wanted a smile like anyone who gets greeted. Short. The inn clean and neat, cold decor. Brothel throughout the hostel people are shouting everywhere. It's party. The shower clean. And the breakfast is how to say, passable and little garni. The good point is that it is next to the station. Anyway thanks to the morning team who they were super nice and attentive.

Zero comfort! Shower tiny, toilet tiny. No chairs, zero seating, beds uncomfortable and squeaky, card had to be reactivated several times, not air-conditioned, sleep with windows open at station. None. For every little thing must be paid extra. Two stars because of the relaxed staff and the central location.

I randomly booked this hostel for my trip that turned to be a very good decision! So simple transportation! 3 min walking from Hauptbahnhof! All sites was sooo near by that I took a walk all around without using any transport!! Good facility and yes they do provide free walking tour which adds advantages to your stay!! Highly recommended!!!!
Really quite dirty, super loud (we heard sirens and fights during the night which woke us up), location felt really unsafe and the bathroom kept flooding.
Location is unbeatable and atmosphere is on point. Washrooms are too tiny and beds placed too close together. Personally, other than the super tiny washrooms and no kitchen, it was perfect as a cheap stay.

Room much too tight for 8 people. Shower / toilet much too small and too narrow. Hallway, walls, windows etc. dirty and outdated. Room service bad. Noise pollution of the main station much too much. Breakfast and dinner very bad. Hardly anything offered and nothing fresh. Staff rude and insensitive. Failure to comply with rules will not be adequately punished. I'm happy when the time is up. Pure rip-off. 60 / night is totally inappropriate.

I was in this hostel on a business trip, medium-high price not justified with the absence of cleaning in the room every day, not very comfortable beds and a really tiny bathroom. The rooms, however, were clean and spacious and the location was fairly central, albeit in a context of total degradation. I recommend it for those who have no great demands and are passing through.
I can highly recommend the pulled pork burger here!
I had my final trip there. It was very worth it. The hostel was nice. The only drawback was, you could hardly sleep at night because there was so much noise outside. But if you're used to that, it's not an issue. Should I go to Hamburg again, this hostel is my first choice!
We spent our vacation in this Horstel. We were super satisfied.
Rooms = clean and beds comfortable. Bathrooms are only so small because the building is a listed building. I found the bathroom to be great for it.

So the service was rude we had to pay 5 minutes late for the late check-out which cost 5 euros per person. The shower is an impertinence, I as a slightly overweight had big problems in taking a shower. In addition, the hotel room does not offer free towels, hand soap, hair dryer. The location at the main station is good but it's not worth it, because you only greasy air in the room pulls it comes from 6:30. Also, the hotel cards work very badly at least 6 times until the door opens. The prices at the bar are too expensive. A safe does not offer the hotel room or the fact that the walls are very thin you hear every door in the hall closes. My holiday was inedible as I got from the breakfast for 2 days violent diarrhea. Positive were the comfortable beds and Wi-Fi in the room. Personally, I'll just book this hotel rather I'll buy a sleeping bag for that outrageous price and stay overnight at the train station.
It is a little insecure place, but just a short walk from Hamburg Central Station, it was a very comfortable hostel.
There was an outlet at the bedside, and I could use the shower without any problems.

Quite possibly, one of the worst experiences ever! We wondered in on the off chance of a couple of beds, guy on the reception tried to charge 75 each for beds in a shared dorm. Beyond the joke!
Then when we booked online, said dude with an attitude taller than his beany hat, also tried to overcharge my partner by not taking into consideration that we had already paid a booking fee...yet another joke!
Gets to the room and some kid was in my partners bed, so ended up sharing a single bed. Told the guy on reception, who was by far a much more pleasant human who did exactly zilch.
I then told another receptionist that I was not happy that nothing was done and really don't see why we should have to pay for 2 beds, especially when neither I or my partner slept in one! Blond male receptionist did nothing and declined to refund one bed.
To top it off, the person who slept in my partners bed then had to be removed from the premises by security as he was not even supposed to be in the building and hadn't paid for a bed! What made it worse was the security guard wanted to take persons out of the room to question them at which point, I had enough and had to tell the guard that he had nothing to do with it!
This place an absolute rip off and recommend that no-one opt to stay here. It has really put a dampner on what was supposed to be a last minute trip to Hamburg on our honeymoon. Upon reading other reviews, it seems that poor customer service and little effort to resolve these issues is emdemic in this place as all the reviews talk of all I experienced during my stay. Clearly the management is inept at managing the staff and getting the best from them. Perhaps a complete staff overhaul is needed! Miserable staff! Overpriced bar and food! DO NOT stay here unless there is no other option!
In my opinion this is the shittiest hostel ive ever been if i could give them a 0 rating i would pick that !!!! Their stuffmembers werent really friendly, all 5 stars rating were most likely bought .They told us happy hour was from 21-22 everyday, but when we asked them they told us it doesnt exisist anymore. Our room was like a prison and you couldnt even open the window because the lounge was below and u could smell kitchenoil up to our room instead of fresh air !!!
The toilet was like a small public toilet near the Hauptbahnhof and you couldnt seperate the shower and your toilet. Their card system was useless
cause u had to stick the card about 10 times in or they wont accept it. Their Stuff came
in our room early in the morning without knocking on the door and their wall was very thin you could hear their roomservice going in on the whole floor, it was like a BOOM EVERY 5 MINUTE . You couldnt sleep seriously and when they came they were loud too, talking with their members per mobil everytime... You had to buy or lend a towel, body lotion or brush. they just wanted so much money from
you, you dont even have a table in your room
or chairs. The price was waaay too high for what they give. Never go to this hostel, you are better off on the street...
Not appropriate for the price. The toilet and the bathroom in the room were unfortunately much too small. I had several panic attacks because I suffer from claustrophobia. In addition, it was stuffy in the room and hell for an asthmatic like me. In terms of cleanliness, all you can say is that it could have been cleaner.
In the bathroom, I discovered hair on the floor. The cards to unlock the room were also problematic. The doors could only be opened after repeated insertion. The only positive thing was probably the location. There are many connection options right at the main train station. On the whole, I do not recommend the hotel.

At first glance, the location is good. Central station nearby and almost all public stops. Reception staff was very friendly.
But: the place in front of the hostel turns into the most dangerous and loudest place in Hamburg in the evening. As a woman, you're scared of the strange characters. Generally it is very, very noisy, but since the rooms are really small, you have to leave the windows open. The garbage collection arrives at 6:30 a.m. daily and the scuffles in the area in front of the hostel go into the early hours of the morning.
In itself it is really nicely furnished, everything you need is just a bit very cramped. I think there are better alternatives, but overall okay!
The location of the host is perfect - just a 2 minute walk from the central train station. The actual place is very modern and welcoming. The rooms are also great and spacious, if the shower is a little bit small. All in all the service was great.
24 of us visited recently for a stag do. What a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are in compact with 2 sets of bunk beds and a bathroom but clean, modern and tidy so can't knock them.
The hotel has a nice modern cafe and bar in it and a big beer garden to the back which catches the sun for alot of the day.
The food and drinks prices are cheaper than you'll find in reeperbahn so it was a good place to start the drinking.
The staff were excellent, always chatty, polite and helpful. We thought we may need to tip toe round them with us being in such a big group but they where fantastic.
If all the Generator chains are this good I would be sure to stay again :)
