Very poor delivery company! On 6 August I placed an order that would be delivered with GLS. It is now 14 August and I have still not received the same order. I receive the message that my package has probably been lost. Similar bad experiences with GLS in the past. From now on I will never order from companies that use delivery by GLS.

Bad service if the address is a bit more difficult. "YOU MUST PICK UP AT A COLLECTION POINT."
As far as I am concerned, such a messenger service may be discontinued.

Deliverer always rings all bells of all neighbors without waiting first if their customer opens the door

Indonesian student will continue her studies in the Netherlands after 3 years of study in Italy. She sends her belongings partly in 3 boxes with GLS to the Netherlands. Box 1 arrives. Box 2 and 3 so far (over 2 weeks later) not. Box 2 now seems to be back in Italy. Hopefully come here. Box 3 has not been scanned for almost 2 weeks now and seems to be lost. Already called 4x with GLS Utrecht but that doesn't work either. In short: You figure it out. Please call Italy, we are not going to do anything here. With this organization you are not a customer and service does not exist.

It seems that some GLS deliverers are doing just that they have delivered the package and then steal the stuff. If you call GLS then they say that you should arrange it with the web store. Advice: always check whether the seller sends via GLS for online purchases, if so, choose another store.

No 1 (large) courier is top-notch, but GLS is able to take the concept sadly to the next level

I do not know what your two drivers were spouting yesterday at the A15 Leerdam ri - Sliedrecht exit, it did not make any sense at all. Seinen, overtake right, cut off, with hazard lights next to each other, 70 driving on the highway on 2x2 lanes and thus a half traffic jam then again towards the 160 170 to drive 80km per hour. Afternoon at home to receive package, after GLS confirmation of changed delivery day. Package tracked via GLS site. To my surprise, the message appears: '14: 21h / delivered '. But no one seen; nothing on the bus. So looking for GLS depot phone number (not available on the site). Finally called GLS just after 5 pm. Operator informed that her system said "address incorrect / address not found". Strange: street has been around since the beginning of the last century, I have lived here for over 15 years. She calls concerning delivery person, receives voice mail. His phone is off While on site and delivery options, GLS reports delivery until 5:30 PM. Pruss work. The sender of the package thus loses customers, that's for sure.

Package from Italy has been on the road for two weeks. Is currently hibernating in the Depot in Utrecht !!!! Besides the fact that I can't give Zero stars. Unfortunately. I would have liked the option middle finger.

Incredibly bad! Have a very urgent order brought to a location via their flex service because deliverers are away faster than you can open. Next morning you will receive a short message that they are coming a day later. Just as easy! Nothing Flex, but worthless!

Ordered a mattress from Emma through Beter Bed. This had to be delivered from Germany and went via GLS.

I've read a lot of negative reviews, so I already had numerous doom scenarios running through my mind.

However, I am pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the delivery person and the speed with which the mattress was delivered. On day 1 he arrived in Utrecht from Germany. Day 2 from Utrecht to Amsterdam. Day 3 delivered neatly to the door.

The delivery guy was also very friendly, despite having to get a 33kg package to the 8th floor. Even helped lift the package over the sill of my front door.

In short, top service! The only point for improvement is the track & trace information. A daily indication of when you can expect your package helps enormously, especially with a package size of this size.

Package will arrive on Saturday, has never arrived or has been ringed. get an email from around 12 o'clock. "Hey! The driver had visited you but no one was home." However, I never heard the bell. I suspect the driver left after he heard my dog bark.

However, I can understand that you are afraid of dogs, but will you just skip my package? You can indeed ring the bell for 1 minute, right?

Mr. probably opened the gate and saw my dog through the door and left. then try to call customer service so that I can pick up the package somewhere today. But customer service is close on Saturday, really a top company!

I just had to find out for myself that my package has been ready for several days in Utrecht, but has already been returned to Portugal. After telephone contact the message: "We have scanned the package incorrectly, but you have to solve it yourself with the sender." Sorry, but if you make a mistake, you will solve it!

Both package and content look as if a tank has been driven over 4 times. Called customer service (also costs money ..) and there I am told that I am not officially a customer and therefore they are not going to reimburse it.

It has happened to me several times that the delivery person takes the package back to the depot at the end of the day. So the package is simply not delivered, while I have been waiting all day. Then it says at track and trace that they could not find the address or that there was traffic.
When I know that GLS will deliver I will not order anymore. What a ....... company.

GLS should have delivered a package to us, but they never did. Also no "not at home" message left, but the package unsubscribed online with the reason "not at home". So then go to the main depot looking for our package. Fortunately there was a friendly man who found it and gave it to him.
In forums we found more complaints about the service of GLS, and we have now also experienced that ourselves.

After reading all the reviews I was very worried that my phone might not arrive at all. However, everything has gone very well. The package was sent Thursday from Germany to another branch in Germany, to move to Rotterdam on Friday. Monday afternoon a very friendly deliveryman was at my door (Leiden) with a package that looked good. Am very happy with the service!

They lost my bag and told me they won't help. Rude and useless workers, won't pick up the phone and won't help even they did their job wrong.

GLS does not deliver within the time slot provided by them, let alone on the day they indicate. Because of this, you can better save the day after the expected delivery date, then the chances are that you will not stay home for nothing.

PostNL, UPS and DHL can do it, so if you have the choice, do not opt for GLS.

After reading all the negative messages, I also want to write something positive about you. Due to a technical scan failure, my package could no longer be delivered today. I have called your customer service and have been helped very well. Your employee Sabir ensured that I was still able to receive my package today via the package shop. Very nice, my compliments!

The online tracking system of GLS works very well, whereby you can see step by step where your package is located. However, the delivery is a lot less.
The delivery person rang the doorbell and via the intercom I said that I was coming down. However, the delivery person would have preferred me to let him in, I opened the door with the 'buzzer'. Once I got downstairs, my package was on the stairs and the delivery person had already sat down on his bus to drive on. My package was expensive, by name and needed a signature. That is not a pleasant feeling that the package is handled with such care and that it is not handed over personally.

Just the worst experience I ve ever had with receiving a shipment.

They don't even ring the doorbell, they only send emails in the morning, so the customer has to wait with a chair in the alley for the package.
I stayed at home all day to get tickets to collect my order from the nearest branch.

New slogan: Your package will be a concern to us. Three times parcel detained for improper reasons. Stayed two days before after nice words from customer service. Each package costs 2 or 3 extra due to gasoline and calling costs. It may still be picked up somewhere for good after days or sometimes a week and longer.

GLS solution?

Delivery person claims to have stopped by and not found anyone at home. Lied through his teeth because we have been home all day (waiting) and have not seen or heard anything and there is also nothing in the mailbox.
In the future, I'm really going to make sure that delivery is NOT carried out by this sad excuse of a company: totally worthless company this. Then pay a little more.

Pick up and deliver packages 24/7 at the lockers in front of the building. No hassle with opening times, but only accessible by car.

Package ordered from Engelbert Strauss this company is located in Germany, in the town of Schaafheim. The package was ordered on the 15th, and left the depot on the 16th.
We are today 22nd and the package is still not received. See photo for package history, the 17th already in Utrecht and then it is just dusting away in a depot for days.

Today is Friday evening June 5. On Tuesday June 2 I received an email that my package had been delivered to a certain GLS parcel shop. I stopped by 2 times (also this afternoon just before 6pm) (and that was no fun waiting 10 minutes outside in the rain) and again the man from the shop said that the package was not there and that I only contact GLS had to answer. What to do now? GLS code 92147.

No status update if your package is no longer delivered on the specified day. Half day thius waiting for air and then you have to call a 0900 number to find out. Much better service at all other courier services

Package would be delivered by GLS on Friday but could not find address, would be delivered on Monday but could not find address, and phoned wrong phone number! Two days off for nothing, and promised to deliver tomorrow, I ask if I could speak with supervisor / manager and get to hear from one Ilke "that's not going to happen, this is handled, period!" Terrible company, with terrible employees, don't buy from Amazon, otherwise you will have the same problems.

Maybe one of the worst forwarders in the world ever. Made our package dissapear 3 times in a row. They can always consider to start a magician act.

Inability to buy cardboard box for parcel or printing for addressing or use of stretch, pen or adhesive tape. The lady who serves is rude and surly. Pakketshop is on the outskirts of the city and public transport in this area is tragic just like locating the entrance door to the plot which is hidden somewhere deep in the warehouses. Generally speaking, this place is a failure and the only advantage of this company are competitive prices for shipping and it is not the weight that matters but the size and for the transport of 100 kg of steel and 100 kg of feathers we will pay the same.

They only rang once so they didn't give me enough time to get to the door. There was a note in the letterbox giving us multiple options. We chose the one where they would come the following morning. We stayed at home to receive the parcel, but they didn't come and they told us we had to collect it the next day. When we tried to call them we had to pay one euro on top of the normal costs. They couldn't put us through to the customers service, which meant we had to call again and pay another euro. Overall a very bad experience.

Package wrongly delivered, call GLS, stood on hold for 23 minutes!

Very bad experiences with GLS. I had ordered an expensive product abroad and received an email that it had arrived at GLS Utrecht depot. Then nothing more heard of it. After a few phone calls you will be told that the package is "lost" and that you only need to contact the sender. And this while I can see on the GLS tracking site that the package was last scanned in Utrecht at GLS! That is unbelievable. This is the second time that I am involved in GLS. They "lose" your stuff and you have to see for yourself how you get your money back. If I want to order something at a webshop now I check in advance if they work with GLS, if so I order my stuff somewhere else.

Yesterday ordered and delivered today! Beautiful on time!

First time not received a note at home. I could indicate when I want to receive the package. Indicate Monday. Nobody came, I saw via track and trace that it is offered on Tuesday, due to crowds. Fine, but nobody came by. Apparently package has been returned to sender due to damage. They have run throwing etc. Pots etc broken. Extra costs for the sender. A few days later the package is delivered, I was home alone. The package is heavy early, it was indicated that it is quite light.
Didn't know that gls would offer the package again so soon, otherwise I knew it was a heavy one. Not to lift for someone with health problems. That man brings it I ask again; is it heavy? No and put it down. While I indicate that I cannot lift due to complaints, he walks away without looking because he knows that it is heavy. Sorry, but a normal person wouldn't do this. You are there with a package that you cannot lift for health reasons.

I just wanted to let you know that GLS is useless. Do not deliver parcels to neighbors, causing delays. Then the track trace is not recognized on their own site (does not work on mobile at all). Then they ask to leave my phone no. Then should we hope for a call? Serious? Sun 1998! Better work with TNT. Slightly more expensive, but at least you have satisfied customers.

I expected my package to be delivered as advertised by web shop where I purchased my items. Unfortunately, the web shop choose GLS to deliver the package. I was hugely dissapointed to see GLS reporting status of my package as 'Niet afgeleverd - adres niet bereikbaar'. On the delivery date there were no roadworks in my neighbourhoud and on the same day I received deliveries from Post NL and DHL without any issue. According to GLS driver a truck was blocking one entry to my street at the time of attempted delivery. By the way, my street is very small street (approx 200 meters) and it can be entered from both sides. Bottom line... GLS driver made little or no effort to deliver my package

Disgusting, package DELIVERED DELIVERY at a commercial property that is open until at least 6:00 pm! Then I get a notification at 3:47 pm that the courier decides that the reception WAS closed ?! Staff spoken, doors were literally OPEN! Shameful and no good word left. The package will be delivered again on Monday. Yes thank you! That's where my Mother's Day is given. It is a pity that the small companies do cost this, but that large companies just keep doing this.

Courier neatly called ahead to ask if I was home and to inform me that the package is on its way. This is real service.

They decided that i was on vacations. never tried to deliver. then they marked the package as "undeliverable" and marked it for return. How come companies like this one survive?

Driver says the address is not right ?? I really live at the address given. Have been home all day. After telephone contact was told that the package would be registered again the next day. My question was, what is tomorrow different than today to my address ??? What amateurs, if I order something via the internet, I will now look just as well if it is not transported with GLS.

GLS courier says to have delivered to my house at 12:33, and I would have signed! However, it was just at work and that is not at home .... also my neighbors have nothing and no note in the box .. My package was delivered to my neighbour. The address on the 'we delivered it to your neighbour' note said : Neighbour 15.
I live on number 84, number 15 is across the street and on the opposite end of the street where I live. Was it delivered there? Or was it taken to the street Neighbour on number 15? I called the office, they have no idea what the delivery guy means and where my package is... absolute mess.

I ordered a package on April 7, 2020. After more than 3 weeks finally arrived in the Netherlands in the depot on 1 May 2020. Now it is in storage instead of being delivered to my address !!!!

Apparently missed a package on 18/12/2020 because was not home. Package was delivered on 19/12/2020 according to the GLS distribution center in Utrecht.

I have not been home for 3 weeks and have therefore never been able to accept the package. Package was most likely delivered to the neighbors without informing me about this.

An employee of the GLS distribution center in Utrecht advised to have an investigation carried out. No idea whether such an investigation will yield anything. Package away and an extremely bad service where the deliverers just do something.

Picking up your package will cost you around the case. Not logical. Recently renovated but if you have never been there you can easily drive past it. Better signposts are recommended.

What is this bad we have a letterbox and a driveway of gravel.
Driver enters the driveway at a brisk pace and literally flickers two packages in the freestanding letterbox, this does not fit completely but is resolved by slamming the lid a few times, then tear away the gravel against the window, I want to call to to make a complaint, I must first pay a euro.

When the package was delivered, we were not at home. No message in the letterbox. After 7 days it would be delivered again. If you are on Beld you will not get the chance to record your zip code. Distribution center is a stone's throw away. Package is there for several days. "Delivered tomorrow" is not realistic at GLS, while other transport companies can handle it. Unfortunately!

as a matter of principle I do not order anything from a webshop that is sent with GLS. three out of three times already had trouble with a package. if they went bankrupt, only illegal fireworks sellers would miss their shipping method. GLS: for heaven's sake improve your service.

Really sad this company, I give a package to a GLS depot for sending back to Belgium, 17.50 euros paid, and what happens they are 2 days later with my (I thought) healthier package back at my door. So package not sent but 17.50 lost. Sent several times but no response at all ...
