Most poor delivery service I have ever been in con...

Most poor delivery service I have ever been in contact with. Receive a 'you were not at home' message via email. Great, online but just look at the possibilities. Delivery at a parcel point (not in my place of residence) GLS Depot (in Utrecht, and they will keep it there for a maximum of 5 days, I will not be able to do that) Will be delivered tomorrow (only at the same time, during office hours) just call to change the address, they can deliver it to the office the next day. Found a paid phone number after a long search; "oh no problem sir, I just can't change an address here. Then you must have my colleague at the depot, here is a number" Colleague at the depot says casually; "No, we will not, my colleague does not know what he is talking about" "We also do not offer another period, you can still accept your package tomorrow?" When I asked if he thought I was at home all day waiting for packages, the answer was "Yes, that would indeed mean that you have to take time off". There was no other option: No package point close by, no possibility to change address, no possibility to choose a different period (on none of the days offered before the package goes back to the sender) and no effort at all to think along somewhat. If you don't have the option to deliver packages, don't do it. Really incredibly bad. In addition, I have received my 'not at home' message online, but there is nothing to be found in my letterbox. Unfortunately, now half a day off to wait for my package, now hope that within the time period delivery is within the options!

Have not received anything.
Package was last scanned in Utrecht and if I see all the reactions of people promised that not much good.

'Not home note' in the bus while I was at home .. ...

'Not home note' in the bus while I was at home .. QR code, and normal code on the 'not home note' do not correspond with my zip code. The German GLS always contacts me instead of the Dutch one. Eventually the package was in a depot, could be delivered to a GLS point for the second delivery. Unclear when this would take place, the package was then sent back to the sender by GLS. Worthless and all communication around it makes it extra worthless.

The package was sent to the wrong address. It ended up in another country. I tried contacting GLS when I saw the tracking details were wrong but it was so difficult to call them. I only managed to get a functional phone number from one of the agents. There was not much help from customer service.

If you feel like sitting at home all day for nothing, you will be happy with GLS. The time indication they give makes no sense, because the courier does not come. Next time when I order something from a company, I will first ask which courier they work with. Is that GLS? Then it is bad luck, but the sale is canceled.

I think that GLS does a lot to deliver packages on time or to be home on time. Last Thursday, 23 January around 5 pm, a GLS bus drove past me right over the emergency lane. It shook my car. We just got off the A27 and drove over the N230, about 200 meters before the roundabout at garden center Overvecht in Utrecht.

Was very unclear, driver didn t show up. You have to pay extra costs to call their customer service, which is ridiculous. And worst of all every time i called I received no help and no explanation. Their pick up location is in the middle of nowhere by the highway, only accessible by car. Waste of time and money.

Waited a whole day ("we deliver between 8.30 am and 6 pm"). The package was not delivered until 7 pm. The website with track & trace does not provide any information, unless you are interested in how your package is moved between the different distribution centers. The telephone information is nil ("we deliver until 6 pm ..." And "The sender has chosen this service" ...)
Apparently the delivery person was sick and someone else had to take it over. Then you can at least be informed that it will be a bit later?
There are other delivery services that keep the addressee informed a lot better.

It's the 10th time that the driver is not comming to my house. I don't have a letter in my mailbox, nothing. I'm at home the whole morning and I track the driver since 12 I clock. 19 stops, 17,9,3 and then I get the email that I'm not at home?!?!?! I was looking the whole time from the window, here was NO ONE and this is not the first time, it's ALWAYS like that!!! For what do I order and deliver at home? To pick it up everytime somewhere?! The people at the service line excused, but they can't to anything and hang up in the talk. THANK YOU FOR NOTHING!!!

Company not available, we are coming the next day ...
Because construction work is underway for King's Day, it is indeed a bit busier in the street. But the truck from the supermarket just comes into the neighborhood and other delivery services such as PostNL, DHL just succeeds. Unfortunately, GLS is not. A special orange edition for King's Day is now only delivered Tuesday after King's Day next week. Very unfortunate GLS!

Terrible. You should not start on this. Packet is already 3 days late, called and I was told that my package would arrive for 2 hours. 3 times guess, it is not there. Customer service is also very sad, is not helped at all and is incredibly customer-friendly. Order-Tracking says that the delivery address is incomplete, but on the payment invoice the address is complete, with street, house number, postcode, city and country. I am told that the house number was not known, but that it has already been resolved? Very strange. The package did not work for three days in the depot in Utrecht, and then it was supposed to be on its way to my house, but nothing was delivered at all. Very badly arranged, really a very bad lazy pauperbedrijf. You must be ashamed of yourself.

delivery 3x at the wrong address: worthless address system, will not be adjusted when reporting, track n trace does not work, pass collection point does not work, rude response by telephone; (30 cents pm) GLS 10% cheaper and 200% + worse: don't use, report bugs from these clowns to the online stores using GLS! obviously fake reviews about themselves,
then they still score badly so read reviews, + review scanner judge for yourself

That I still take the trouble to write a review of this hopeless company.

On Friday GLS received a package that would be delivered to me on Monday, not so. Every time when a package arrives via GLS it is drama! Package value is 350.- and then they start messing around with it a little. I will never buy anything from companies that work with GLS!
Oh yes they have an excuse, it is busy with pool deliveries !? Then you hire extra people to get the job done !!!!!!!! Otherwise leave it to TNT, which is doing much better despite the difficult market. It is Prutsers at GLS this company is sick that it radiates on all sides and therefore not viable!

- call and walk away before you reach the door
- status has been passed when it is not
- now also put parcels outside on the sidewalk
- unfriendly staff
- always too late if delivered by appointment

It is that you have no choice with some shipments. But think twice now when you see that someone is working with GLS.

Very bad experience from GLS. Failed to deliver a package and also failed to send me the slip with info on where to pick it up. In the end they sent the package back to the sender, wasting both mine and the sender s time an money because they cannot do their job.

we send as a company 100 packages per week via gls, at the same time never have problems, the last weeks all packages lost? not scanned? without trace? wait 3 days for a shed?

Worthless !!! According to GLS, the package that I ordered was delivered to me and signed by me! Neither is the case! Nothing received and certainly nothing signed! In addition, I can not call them because there is no customer service number available. They were also close on Saturday and Sunday 29/30 December. So now wait until they are open again to be able to go after my package (I write this on December 30, 2018)! Wonder if I will ever receive it ... Very annoying ...

Absolutely useless. Didn't bother to deliver the package, didn't even leave a note to prove they attempted delivery. Had to call to follow up and charged a fee to chase up their incompetence. Promised to send an email for a pickup location and time to recover the package, didn't receive this update either. Absolutely disgusting experience with this service.

1 star is too much. They delivered to the wrong address, gave the package to a random guy and signed off the package as if it was delivered. Long story short, the package is lost and they won't even start the process to see what happened and refund me.

Update: after sender initiated the lost parcel process I got a refund

Today finally my package, unfortunately the service from GLS was not as expected.
First of all it took a day longer because gls had decided that my home address would not exist. After contact with customer service it turned out that they did not want to deliver the package to a bungalow park because the receptions would always refuse the packages.
After explaining that we are not a bungalow park at all, but a car-free residential area, they still wanted to come and, to be sure, they put my number on the package so that the delivery person could call me if he could not find it.
I thought it was settled and that a day later my package would arrive.
Unfortunately, it turned out not to be the case.
At the beginning of the afternoon the delivery person called that he had my package and that he would be there in half an hour, I just had to stand in the central parking lot to receive my package.
He wasn't going to come to my house, he thought 100 meters was too far to walk. After explaining that I was not at home myself and that my wife was waiting for him at home, she just had to come, that she has a chronic muscle disease and that that package weighs almost 10 kilos didn't matter to him.
Otherwise I had to arrange something else myself if I still wanted to receive my package.
He didn't go for a walk, my wife went away anyway but now has a few days to suffer from this.
In short, the most worthless delivery service we have ever had, actually 1 star is too much but 0 is unfortunately not possible.

Worst delivery company ever! I did not have a note, but according to the website there was a package delivered. There was no point. Called with a paid number and then also get the wrong information. Package is not with the neighbors and seems completely disappeared from the face of the earth. Very bad service.

Like almost all comments: bar and bar bad.
On Friday, the delivery person came to the door and took the package back.
Why? Because there was a note on the door that the package from company X should be returned in consultation with company X and should not go through the letterbox. Apparently the delivery person cannot read and returns the very large package from company Y (what he will bring).
Is denied at first but could not be sustained because the delivery person was on a security camera.
Now just wait and see if tomorrow comes (after endlessly calling three times where the connection was lost = extra cash for GLS)

Terrible service. No notification or communication, if they miss you and they expect you to know where you package is after leaving it at a neighbor. This is terrible!! Why start a delivery service when you are not competent!!?

Idiots!!! Very bad service. Waiting for package now already 5 days. Their systems says the delivery guy is on its way, stayed home see no one. Try to call them. For 1 euro yes 1 euro you can call them. After a wait for 15 minutes finally someone on the phone......package is still in their depot somehow. GLS sucks!!

Worst delivery company ever used. I highly do not recommend this service due to damage in transit and no reaction to this. Inform yourself before sending a parcel in the Netherlands. On trustpilot GLS is rated zeer slecht , now I know why.

The same again, the delivery person will call me once via mobile and I will give the package to my neighbors 106 online if I do not respond. I am not sitting next to my mobile. 10 minutes later I see a missed call. It was from GLS: "I am already so far so called say this delivery boy". It always turns out that you are in a hurry not throwing a message at home and ready it solves !! And the 0900 no one uses that anymore yall still in the stone age trying to finesse money

After having had contact again, I promised to retrieve the package ... But should not receive a response .. After having contact again, it appears the package above water, and promise to deliver it the next day .... Have been a courier, but without the package, had contact again, and it appears that it has had the wrong scan again .... I will be called back for 11am .... But 11am, haven't had a call yet. But I called myself again, the package will be delivered today, so I am promised ... What do you think, half an hour after my last contact, I will finally be called by them ... After almost a day of waiting and looking at Track and Trace several times, I suddenly see that the package has been delivered and signed by the recipient, FULLY FALSE, after telephone contact with GLS I am informed that the package has been delivered to a different address, but do not know which. So it can take more than a week before I, perhaps, will receive my package, what if at the delivery address people report that they have never received a package ???. I wonder how quickly this case will be resolved and if I can still give the gift on time.

I have found a very dirty paper close to my house by accident only, basically my dog found it! where without a notice, name s address, were stated that the package is not delivered! I decided to check it out, indeed it was for me, very strange as I was home the whole day! So I have chosen to have the package at a GLS paket shop to pick! well this is possible in 4 days! Answer from customet care was ridiculous! pick it up on Amstetdam depot!!!??? who will pay me for a day off and a trip to Amstetdam from Almere? no service, no flexibility, no delivery on Saturday - NEVER use Gls if you like to receive your package! full recenssoon and picks will be posted on facebook

Deliveryman rings the bell and then calls up the common stairwell of our flat if we come down, instead of walking to my front door. I pay for door-to-door delivery and not for street delivery. A complaint about this to customer service is not taken seriously because the delivery person does the same trick a week later even though he would be "addressed by a team leader".

I have been waiting for my package from Germany for 2 weeks. It was sent the 11th but is now waiting for nothing in Utrecht because there would be something with the address. So I call them for a euro per call, the address is just right and there has even been a delivery person. But no letter did not visit the neighbors. What a worthless dork they send along! I have been living here at an easy address for 20 years and I wonder if he has been in the street at all. GLS error but call costs back ho but we don't start with that. Today it will be delivered, it is now the 22nd, the track and trace indicates that it is still waiting in Utrecht, they must have delicious coffee there!

a) I let parcel be held in Utrecht via the website to pick it up during a business trip. Get (luckily just in time) an email that it has been delivered to the neighbors;
b) There is nowhere on the GLS website !!! to find a telephone number. Can only be found via Google;
c) Web interface via Firefox simply does not work if you are looking for a tracking number.

What a dredging company it is. I always have problems with GLS. Now the package is not delivered and the address is always reported incorrect while this is the case. Customer service telephone number cannot be found on the website, but only a contact form to which a response is given days later. Why the problem occurs is not explained. I look forward to the package being there just before Christmas, it can be put under the tree. At least it's cozy

Package would arrive today, track & trace indicates that it is delivered, but have not received anything and can not find a non-home note. All day just been home and nobody seen. Then call the customer contact center and the driver did not get hold for an hour. Customer friendliness was hard to find and it was indicated that I do not get it this week and that I had to contact the sender. Very sorry since I needed it this week. Furthermore, they will also do no research, as long as the sender requests this and that I have to wait and see if I get anything inside. Very sad.

Disappointing. Our address could not be found, literally leaving a message daily (incl. Telephone number to call) at GLS with support on how the address could be found. Always a message that they contact me back (automatically). I never got back or emailed. Also contacted supplier to contact GLS. Subsequently, part of the order was delivered by courier. Reported that it is not complete, the track and trace neatly shows that the rest has never been re-ordered and sent back after three moves between lockers. It was weeks ago required and there is literally not acted from GLS to customer feedback. Here is a world to win for GLS, so I hope they do something with the online reviews.

The driver delivered our package to our neighbor without leaving a note to us and the tracking system is showing that it's delivered and signed by me.. which is not true.
The customer service help to contract the driver but the driver's attitude over the phone is incredibly rude...
It's a bit of drama but we have our package in the end.

Poor customer service. Stayed home from work to receive a package, suddenly received an email saying delivery had been attempted (which it hadn't). No option on the website to reschedule delivery without the 'not home' code, which I didn't have, so was forced to use their paid customer service phone number. Customer service offered no explanation and refused to contact the driver. Their only solution was to reschedule delivery to a depot or parcel shop the following week, none of which have evening hours. Extremely inconvenient.

The most horrible company to get things delivered.
The emails saying when you re supposed to receive you package don t really mean anything because they never deliver the day they promise but 1 to 3 days later. I had come to my office in my free days only to wait for the package because the email said I will receive it, I wait the whole day and no one deliveres anything.
Sometimes I see the truck passing by in front of my office, it doesn t even stop and 5 minutes later I receive a not home email.
Finding the phone number of this company is a huge task every time I need to get in touch. Companies should be obliged to have a phone number for the clients instead of only email contact.
This company is a mess and I would never recommend it to anyone.

CURRENT STATUS: hungry, in my office waiting to see if GLS will show up with my parcel today as the email say. For my previous experiences I should go home and not wait any longer because they won t show up regarding what the email says, but because Murphy s law, if I leave they will show up 5 minutes after I m gone.

A very bad delivery; two days in a row a Not Home message in the Track & Trace. But .. We are just there! Even a big message stuck on the front door, after the first day. Second day, driver just drives on, not even at the door!
I now have 1 person in the office all day who can not do anything ...
I would never let GLS deliver !! Customer service is friendly, but can also mean nothing more.
Dismiss the driver for complacency !!
