Excellent, I rang customer services just now on a Monday late morning and got through almost immediately to Jamal, who was efficient, clear and helpful. My only tiny hesitation is they bill quarterly, which means you don't know within the first month or two or starting with them how much your monthly bill will be, but they smooth the payments over the year to keep them even as the seasons change, which is important, and customer services answer the phone and assist, which is essential. All round I'm happy to recommend.

Only just joined them. Moved from Scottish Power as they never sorted out the tariff and just left me frustrated. They were also amazingly expensive. Can't yet rate the service here except to say the transition was smooth, but the monthly saving was worth it alone. Worked out my monthly saving AFTER adding in estimated electric usage for a new hybrid beemer.
A happy chap so far!

We have just switched away from GNE to Octopus Energy, purely because the latter offered more competitive dual fuel prices. Apart from their price being higher at the end of our contract we had no problems with GNE and it was a pleasant surprise when they refunded our remaining credit balance without us having to chase the for it - unlike our previous supplier. Had GNE beaten the Octopus rates we would have stayed put as our experience with them was fine and they would then have warranted a 5* rating.

1 star only because i cannot give them a minus. I am a current customer . I have a large credit balance with them and emailed on 20/9/19 asking a question , they replied electronically to say a reply would be with me within 3 days and quoted me a case number.
Nothing so i chased again on the 27th September. I then sent a third email on the 10th october asking for a senior manager to respond.
Still nothing and having waited 12 minutes today on the phone without reply i am concerned that with a balance sheet that they have are they still in business ?
They have all my contact and account details , i wonder if this will get them to bother to reply to their existing customers.

Been with Green Network Energy, since they started and I couldn't be happier! Their website is easy to use, customers service has been great and my bills have been always accurate, which help me to save lots on my energy bills, comparing to my last supplier. I can recommend Green Network Energy and will certainly not be changing anytime soon.

Receiving bad service we had to move new company.
But they are not giving back our credit money( total 191) as we consumed less.

Our present company twice given them final meter readings. But whenever i call to green energy, they said they did not receive anything from my present company,

I offered reference number which is given by my present company, they dont wanna listen or check. Their answer is we did not receive.

I guess this fraud company is not interested to give back money.

GNE doubled my monthly bill after asking why they then told me that this is how much energy I had used, in which I asked them how they can know because I don't do meter readings and they haven't taken one. They cut the phone off. Changed energy suppliers to bulb.

Dreadful service. Spent 40 minutes on the phone last Monday trying to sort my metre reading and adjust my tariff and a further 53 mins last Thursday at which point I put the pone down in sheer frustration. Staff haven't got a clue about the business or the products.

Absolute shambles of a company - AVOID. Nothing but issues since I switched and then nothing but issues when I left. No help when you call and when you call you have to wait ages. No response to emails sent.

Do not use Green Network Energy. I did a switch to them and was told that they were now supplying me and 2 payments had gone out of my account when I got a bill from my previous supplier who,I rang up to complain to. I was told by then that they were still supplying me and that green network were not my supplier. I am still trying to get my money back after repeated phone calls. They are rubbish and have my money and have had a lot of my time which to date has proved worthless. I will contact Martin Lewis next to see if he can get my money back.

Recently switched away, found far cheaper elsewhere. Dealing with customer service, a degree of incompetence covered by politeness! Questions not answered and everything was not their responsibility or similar; nothing it appears was in the control of GNE!
Took 5 working days to respond to email; would consider value vs service in going back to them.

Changed billing without consulting, lied saying package stays the same if you renew which it didn't.
Sends debt letters to scare you when you have tried numerous times to resolve the issue which was created by them to start with !!

I have never deal with such awful customer service. They have failed to help me resolve my query from early 2019. I have called countless times yet kept being told they would resolve it and they did not and still have not. I would not recommend this provider to anyone.

Nice customer service but do no not have a clue whats going on, messed up meter reads incorrect information given to old supplier, take an eternity to action or resolve complaints. Will be looking to change supplier.

- If you have recently moved house and Green Network Energy are the existing supplier, send them your meter readings immediately along with legal documentation demonstrating when you moved in.
- Change supplier.

Unfortunately there is no option for Zero-Stars.

Also check your legal-advice-insurance as you might need to use it.

Green Network Energy have been chasing me for the previous occupier's bills for over two months now. Despite repeated corrections, communications, document-exchanges and assurances with GNE's "care" and "complaints" team that they will rectify this situaiton they have now engaged a Debt Collection agency.

You can only judge a company by how they react to a problem. I had a problem with a Blank meter so was unable to give readings They asked for a picture of the screen I sent this and then I had to phone them You are right the screen is blank . So what are you going to do about it? Reply Nothing we have NO engineers of our own. We will estimate the bill. This turned out to be much higher than I have ever paid with any company. Eventually a contact engineer from a 3rd party company replaced the meter Over a month later when I had given them meter readings That surprise where lower than they ever estimated I asked for a re-estimate of the old bills. (Note I HAD to phone them again) We will pass your request to another department and then they will get back to you. Still waiting!!!!! What s the bet I end up with the ombudsman

Would not recommend. This is the first energy company I've ever had a problem with. Getting a customer service rep who actually knows what they're doing is the first challenge. Then you speak with someone who sounds like they're resolving the issue for you but they actually don't do anything at all. Each time I've called or emailed their customer service team there have been no notes added to my account, or if they have, they've been so vague that nobody would know why I've called in the first place. From the first time I contacted Green Network 6 months ago, my issue is still unresolved. My recommendation is to go with an alternative provider.

My electricity meter stop working and since September they starts playing games with me. They set maintenance for 8th of October but nobody came, I rung and was told that they couldnt schedule for me that day as engineers are dealing with MARCH issues yet as COVID19 delays (!!!!!!)
Wondering how long this ''cooperation'' will last with them ;(

Appalling service from this supplier. Rude call center staff to the point of being obnoxious. Changed the terms of the contract mid-switch and now are bullying me. Unhelpful and useless. I was better off with British Gas and they are the pits!

Pretty good customer service - emails responded to promptly
Only downside, for me, is quarterly meter reading/billing - I prefer to monitor usage monthly.

I have been with Green Network Energy for about 3 years and very happy with service received. Changing now only because of slightly better price from E.on but would be happy to go back to Green in the future. They kept on top of any changes needed to my direct debit so that I didn't build up debt or go too much into credit. No problems when I needed to contact them. Excellent.

Poor online portal for managing account - unable to make card payments, only direct debit or bank transfer.





This was in the run into summer, so no way would the bill be that high. I cancelled the DD and they reverted me to pay on receipt of bill, moved it to monthly not Quarterly and increased my standing charge for the pleasure.



Stay clear - they just want to keep a big credit balance, not to your benefit.

DO NOT GO WITH GNE! the worst company i have ever had to deal with. they spam you with post. I have had 42 letters from them in just over a month. the customer service team hang up/ don't answer. I spent over 400 minutes on the phone over 5 weeks just to get 1 call back when the promised sooooo many. I could not rate them low enough. incompetence 5 stars,,,,

Looks like I am having the same problem as a lot of other people on these reviews. Used a price comparison site to compare costs and switch. These came out as one of cheapest so I moved across to them. Then after six months I get an email telling me my monthly direct debit is going to increase. BY DOUBLE! Now I only live in a one bedroom flat so I have no idea how the initial pricing was so wrong. Seems that they are initially quoting low prices just to get customers through the door. Awful experience.

Green network energy are acting illegally and should be avoided at all costs. Twice now in the last 7 months they have told me I cannot reduce my direct debit even though I m overpaying, the law states that the consumer can set a direct debit at whatever they choose. After requesting the overpayment they said I couldn t have it until 7 days later and after submitting more meter readings and generating a new bill. I did this and the payment was supposed to have been sent until I was called and told they won t increase the amount unless I increase the direct debit payment. All of these things are against the law and practice recognised within the industry. If I could leave them now I would but unfortunately I would have to pay them a penalty which I refuse to do. But will be leaving as soon as possible. Low income homes can t afford to overpay suppliers and have money sitting around in their bank accounts so they can accumulate interest.

Not a good start. We signed up to GNE as a prioce comparison site had shown it to be cheap, not dependent on having a smart meter and not having to be managed through a 'phone App.

We received a welcome pack but failed to access the online account as we never received the return email to authorize this. So the first twenty-minute wait in this "especially busy time" for the call centre to answer.
The online account was activated promptly once I got through.

Now the blow. My previous supplier has already Direct Debited for this month and says it will take 'a few weeks' to settle my account during which time I need to leave open their DD for them to take any arrears from me. However GNE have also decided to make their DD in the same calendar month - TWO full payments in one month - ouch!

Strikes me of money-grabbing to take the money up front.

Please avoid this company at all costs. This is my very first negative review online, I had received bad service before but never to the point that could compare to the service, or lack of service received from this company. They have underestimated my initial meter readings by a lot - not even sure where they got that number from. I sent the correct meter reading with photos and it was never updated on my account. This happened back in April. I emailed them, I called them, and I keep getting the same answer "We will pass this on to the Disputes team" - no one ever got back to me or answered to my emails. I received a bill with the initial meter reading estimated by Green Network Energy there which means a consumption of over 2,000 KW for a little over than one month for ONE single person living in a small apartment and I was not even in the apartment for most of the time as I was unable to move in due to the lockdown at the time. Absolutely unacceptable, please consider reliable companies and definitely NOT this one.

Really terrible customer service. If you email them about anything they literally take a week to get back to you. If you talk to them on the phone, they appear to be friendly and helpful and then they don't make any notes on your account and you end up with your debt being passed to a debt collection agency when you had agreed to setup a payment plan with the customer service person on the phone. Extremely incompetent. I would not recommend this company at all.

They Made multiple mistakes during the switch from british gas, which ended with us having to pay both bg and GN! Now thay are claiming more money for overuse of energy? Fantastic Supplier!
Have been with Green Network Energy for one year now and they are very reliable, the bills are easy to understand compared to other suppliers, plus their customer service is really helpful and friendly. This combined with the fact you can choose to have green energy and the fact that prices also are cheaper than most other suppliers. Can t see me switching from Green Network Energy anytime soon as they always seem to stay one step ahead of the others.
The app is also great to submit my meter readings!

I was told that my account would be transferred to you on 12 th Feb 19, no one send me an email to submit the reading however, I sent myself. I was also told that first Direct Debit would be deducted from 12th March, however, the payment gone out today i.e. even before the account has been officially transferred to you.

Highly Recommend! *****I switched to Green Network Energy last summer after being severely overcharged by British Gas. So far I have found GNE to be very helpful and were easy to talk to over the phone compared to BG who try to prevent you talking to an operator if they can. Overall, my bills are greatly reduced and website is very easy to use to submit readings. I live on my own so I am so glad I switched and now have an affordable plan for my lower usage compared to British gas where I felt I was in debt even though my usage was quite low.

GNE has made a huge difference in the bast 5 months to my budget. My previous supplier (EDF) after continuously facing increasing tariffs despite having been a loyal customer for years. I found it hugely unfair that new customers were being enticed with low tariffs while existing customers were being forced to jump through hoops in order to obtain favorable rates which never went down. I have always hesitated about switching but after all, I am very satisfied with my decision!

We have been customers of GNE for some time having switched from one of the big four. I have to say our experience has been first rate. So much so we have just taken a new deal from them. We like the fact that they regularly review our usage and unlike previous suppliers as a result of the review our monthly DDM was reduced.
Our new deal is actually cheaper than our current deal! Their website is easy to use and any interaction we have had has been painless, we also like the fact they use renewables. Overall they are the best energy company we have dealt with.

you should reduce direct debit quicker when usage much lower than average.Definitely I watching comments here and you increase direct debit when usage higher than avarage much quicker .Smart but in long term nobody wll use this company in future .Definitely you should review usage much often .I called twice to you and informing I was put higher usage by mistake in uswitch when I get deal nodbody care and remain same amount of direct debit .Now 3 months time usage lower about 33 percent presenting meter reading every month and you still overcharge me I consider leave you now if this not changing

Switched last February, initially good service, then sporadic bills, missed 6 months with no bills, they lowered my calculated direct debit going into winter, and have just tripled my DD, because i'm in debt, coming out of winter.... funny thing is, its virtually a similar amount if my DD hadn't been lowered. I have calculated my debt will be gone within 2 months with the new DD, but they will not listen to reason. Am now reporting to the ombudsman.

They opened our gas readings with our previous meter which was changed under our last supplier. It has now been over a year and i still can't put the correct gas meter readings online.

Their policy states disputes will be resolved in 12 weeks... not over 12 months.

Every time i call, they never follow up. I have sent email complaints, which are never replied to.

I have never found a company so incompetent in my life. We are actually underpaying on our gas and they don't want to fix it. Useless!
