This guys worked om my reefer unit one week after repair it leaked oil again took it back they fixed it one month down the line the pully were lose and it was making some crazy noise took it back they tytened the pully but they charged me really expensive. to my opinion that pully was lose becouse of previous work and may be you guys were supposed to charge me reasonable price....
I would like to say i was having an issue with my wiper motor and i went to this place which was very inviting i was greeted with a great respect and i asked for the part in which my company ordered for me to pick up i asked if they would put it in for me and they happily abliged i was very happy because it was on Christmas eve and i was on my way home i wouldn't have made it home without them thank you very much for helping me and getting a trucker home to my family.
I HIGHLY recommend NEVER going here, not even for a PM.
I guarantee they will find SOMETHING else wrong and overcharge, not to mention taking weeks to accomplish any job.

Stay away from these place. I took my truck to chanhe couple wires and couple hoses on APU mechanic was working on almost whole shift and did not finish. Again stay avay. These place is ridiculous and nothing rhen RIPOFF
Very expensive ,they don t care that the market is slow/fuel is $3.50.We owners operators know what the real labor costs of fixing something and what other shops charge.will tell you to fix something that does not need to be fixed and charge you double as normal would cost.Mr manager that reply to every review here,go out and ask your clients if they were happy with your labor ,maybe offer a discount ,dont sit here and find excuses.
Paid 16h for mechanic to find a problem only for the problem not to be resolved.
Overpricing for service, working slow and making wrong diagnostic. Keep away from this shop.

They helped me out with a sensor on my Volvo I had to call after service Dustin k help me out a lot. and the rest of the staff was great the ladies behind the counter are funny and pleasant to speak with and the mechanics are very helpful and knowledgeable. They have contacted me about the issue I had and offered to refund the money for their mistake. That certainly put the issue to rest. I wish everyone would respond to their negative reviews like this, provided that it has solid grounds.

If I could leave zero stars I would.
Got the truck in on a 7th injector change. Took them half a day to change it after saying it's a 30 min job.
After a few hours I checked on them, they said they've found another problem that was not letting the truck do the regen. Needed more hours to detect that. Eventually they said it's the AHI module that would cost 1200 to replace (when the part costs 450 online) and takes just 1 or 2 hours.
So I refused this scam they're running.
Went to another shop, lo and behold the truck is running the regen and no errors popped out.
I paid almost 700$ on a 7th injector, that any other shop would charge up to $300 max. Don't give them your time, money and trucks.

The only good thing is they we're nice and smiling. But who wouldn't be when they overcharge customers 3 times normal repair rates and lie to them about broken parts.
If you have trouble with your ishift that's the place to fix it , guy name Corey is very professional mechanic , he will explain to you everything you want to know! I had problem with my clutch , done in 2 days . Very convenient place , hotels 1 mile away. I do recommend this shop to fix tour truck or Carrier units
ABSOLUTELY NO!!!! When I checked in at ~8 AM I told them that my air compressor isn t building air and needs to be changed. They charged me for extra 2h for diagnostic where they fixed that my air compressor needs to be replaced. Stupid. After 15 hours I was good to go ( it usually takes 3-4 labor hours on a cummins engine).
Very friendly and helpful. When I walked in the lady at the service desk greeted me and asked how she could help. I told her what needed fixed and looked at and she wrote it all down. They was very informative and professional. Although they was back up and it was a Friday afternoon they got my truck in on Tuesday morning which I figured as busy as they was it would be later in the week. They had it done on Tuesday and got me back rolling. Thanks guys !

Had a loaded reefer with a bad alternator and they had me in and out in 3 hours flat without so much as an appointment. Would be 5 starts but a lady was snarky about walking in the bay to my truck. I used to run a shop so I somewhat understand even though it's mostly bologna. But the attitude was like, "don't you KNOW you can't just walk 20 feet over there unescorted?" As if she would magically save me should something happen. Like I told her, "so you're gonna make an incident even more likely by adding yet another person in the shop?" That makes sense... Not! And the alternative was I guess to literally walk all of the way around the entire 15+ bay shop on the outside of the building in the interest of "safety"...
2.5 weeks, 9800$, truck still has oil leak and air leak it went in for.
Good except open business hours but we can't get everything what we wish for right!
Horrible place they will always ask you for additional time to find something no matter how small it is and overcharge for everything even do things that dont need to be replaced watch out for these people. NOT a professional shop what so ever. Get second opinion if you do go here.

I had a dropped driveshaft on my '93 Bounder RV. I was towed in to Gateway late on July 1, '15. After spending the night in the driveway, the Bounder was pulled in to the lot. The shop guys got right on the job, pulled the driveshaft, did some measuring, and found that it fell out because it was too short. ( Had a new/used rear end put under it the week before) The shaft needed to be sent out for repair; will be ready in the morning. Ms Steele helped me find a motel for the night. Friday morning it so found that the repair shop that had my driveshaft closed for a long 4th of July weekend. Laura again helped find a motel ( for my dog and I ) for the weekend. Shaft was ready late morning of Monday, the guys did a great job getting it in, made sure it was lubed and I was on my way.
I would like to thank the shop guys, Ms. Steele, and the parts chaser for a job well done. I know that this " Thank You" is way overdo, been on the road, enjoying retirement.

Took 3 hours to change 3 belts on the reefer unit..
This shop is great. They were very kind, understanding & they figured out what the problem was fast. We needed a new transmission & a head light fixed. They did a great job, for a great price. Mike & Judy. THANK YOU. Keep doing great work.
Went there for diagnostic. It was completed fairly quick but the guy kept walking around the shop so they could charge me for 1 complete hour. That I can live with. On top of the $125 per hour which they said would be the charge they've added $50+. My total was almost $180... just for diagnostics. Before I went there I've checked my alternator and it was charging ok - 13.85V but technician insists the alt is the problem but they do not have 'em in stock. I paid that $180 bill (in my opinion that is quite high for diagnostics) and left. Few days later I bought new Alternator, mount is on and guess what - still have the problem with the apu!
Try some other place and leave these guys as your last option. If you have to go there for any reason check with them in advance that they won't charge you any bogus fees!
P.S.> After going to a shop that actually know what they are doing I got my APU fixed.... simple wire issue!!!!! Do not spent your time and money at Gateway Truck and Refrigeration!!!
Super helpful checking in my truck at the service desk....however, beware of speed racer types tearing it up in the parking lot.
Went in for APU repair. They fixed all the issues with the unit and it is working great. FYI, my APU has 17000 hours on it.
Total rip-off. They charged $481.25 to replace a screw on the alternator, took them less than 40 mins.
to check your battery they charge $128! 1 battery costs $68, they said it takes them 1 hours to check the batteries it took me 7 minutes to take them apart. They do have some good mechanics though.
The worst ever machanics, went to change a bolt on a reefer unit for gear box , the give me an estimate for 1000$ to change the gear box. Charge me 128$ just to look at that bolt. Don't go there. This place is piece of crap !!!!!

Called ahead, under load with alternator problems on my reefer. Got me right in, alternator and belt changed pretty quickly, not too bad on the price either.
My truck broke down last night. They took me in immediately and did a fantastic job overall!

Reefer was faulting out they found the problem and fixed it was in and out in about 2 hours staff was friendly.

I got in there on a Thursday night 7/11/19 I got my truck back on 7/18/19 the warranty company took 3 days to approve the work, Monday 7/15/19 they started the work, taking my turbo out they broke 2 bolts, they had to send it out to a machine shop, that took 3 days, which by the way they charged me for it, up time bay, ha ha 7days they had my truck, I paid over 600 in hotels had to rent a truck to deliver my load also lost 4000 worth of work, they charged for a can brake cleaner a can of pb nut buster, these people did not hold back on anything, would never in my life ever use them again
I was in there for two minutes and was treated poorly by both parts and service department. They were unwilling to be helpful. Because of their lack of customer service skills, I will not return to this dealership or recommend it to those I know.

My refer was not working and they have just written on their website about 24hrs emergency service nothing is 24hr service they open at 7am and i was calling them since 4am, every time when i called on that 24hr service number mechanic was saying on my way will be there in hour or half hour even thought they had 24hrs service mechanic told me i will charge 330$ an hour for overtime and finally they opened at 7am then again i had to explain them everything and they took 2hours to fix........
Request to truckers if you guys incase have any kind of problem on road at night try to find better service then this guys or go on loves travel stop.....

I called the parts department for a set of injectors and asked if they had them told yes we do I asked please make sure and hold them for me because coming almost 300miles to get them, I was assured they had them and they were put on hold for me... I sent a guy late afternoon to get them so I can fix the truck 40miles away from the dealership I get a phone call stating that they only have 2 out of the 6 injectors and the 4 are on back order the shop used 4 to fix a truck and that's all that's left and I'm sorry it's our fault I was trying to find you another 4 in the area they seem to be out of them, that's why I was going 300 miles to get them instead of my Volvo dealer, I was assured they had them I lost a day and 200$ of fuel know starting to get idea of how this place works, labor rate over 100$ an HR ,parts specific to single trucks not all the same parts in the thousand dollars yet experience to work at Volvo dealer is a 0... Just accepted our rate of pay we are willing to pay you and don't worry about how much or how your gonna affect people that depend on this to make a living....
At a 144.00 dollars an hour, you pay mechanic 20or30 an hour, I'm in the wrong business, yeah I've been hit up side my head by them so many times, I've learned now, they gonna spend at least 2 or 3 hours just to look at something are more.. All I can say is you better have a warranty messing with them... they will make you a millionaire if you start off as a billionaire!
Reffer problems fixed right away Excellent service
Had to source an a/c compressor for a carrier unit on a ford shuttle van. Could not find it anywhere!
The parts guy i dealt with went the extra mile and found the right compressor in stock, and called me to let me know. I did not have the greatest info and the numbers on the old unit were wiped off.
Friendly staff. I drive a Volvo so it's never actually fixed. The best you can hope for at any Volvo dealer is to be patched-up and keep on rolling.

If you have issues with the truck I highly recommend you come to this.had a check engine light on and been to about 7 different shops all of them said that they had fixed it they did not finally come here three guys put their heads together and dug deep with their computer systems to figure out what the issue was and got it fixed highly recommended. I went to Volvo in Little Rock highly suggest to avoid at all costs they said they replaced apart only to find out they did not replace that part none of those guys want to work on your vehicle avoid avoid!
My company sent me there for repairs and they jumped on it right away even though I had to layover they drove me back and forth to the hotel with out complaints the drivers lounge is clean and pretty comfortable considering it s a repair shop employees were very helpful and friendly

I was there with my DEF problem, people was very friendly and professional! Especially the gentleman who was in front desk he was very friendly and help me with my problem. I spend 3 hours but my DEF problem was fixed! Thank you gays!!

I am a big believer in leaving quality reviews for places that stand by their work.
I am an owner op, I generally try to do the majority of the work on my own, with larger components it is sometimes easier to let a trusted brand to do the work for me.
I took my truck here for some parts to be replaced, they did a pretty good job, turn around was pretty reasonable and their staff was on point. Seems like they have heard, or seen a thing or two.
After having the work performed on the truck, a few weeks later, one of the parts was found defective. The dealership stood by their word and addressed this issue for me.
I am a very reasonable person, stuff happens sometimes out of our control. The staff had no issues getting to me and making me a priority.
I wanted to thank Phil, Ryan, and Howard for their promptness and professionalism. I also want to thank Doug (mechanic) for going the extra mile.

This goes to him for attention to a long term problem that was over looked by dealer techs.failing to catch computer needs upgraded, maybe now we can get to real problem..been hopeless till now.
Went in to have axillary bunk heater igniter repalce. My service and repair company was authorized to 500 for repairs the shop knew this. They replaced the part and increased the part price more that 100 above the cost for kit and recharged more than 6 hours for a max 3 hour job. Called service manager explained problem said he would call back that was 3 weeks ago and no call. I'm withholding payment until bill is corrected
Driver went in to PU wiper motor and asked the service person how long to replace. He told driver no more than an hour. The service advisor wrote check and advise on issue when driver clearly said just replace motor. Instead they wanted $1500 to replace motor and said that the transmission to wipers is bad. Spent 30 min on the phone with Phil trying to resolve issue because i denied the work so they wanted to charge $250+ for diagnostics when diagnostics were not needed. Finally they agreed to replace just the motor and wipers are working just fine. This shop seems to only want to replace parts to make money. NOT TRUSTWORTHY
We ll customer isn t right here for sure, asked for leveling valve to be replaced and they replaced it, but the front one(never mentioned the front one), amazing, then they said either pay for take the part off or that s that. 360$ down the drain.
Great got a freon leak fixed in 3 hours and saved the freezer load.

Rip offs... Parts are around 40-50% more expensive then other Volvo dealer.... How this can be??? Places like this should be closed by Volvo for making they reputation worst.... Look at the reviews...
