Wow, ok so this place....take this review with a grain of salt. I bought a used car. I had 2 salesmen talk about how unprofessional the others are. Found my salesman, was told the a.c. didn't work and he didn't do any research on the car. He didn't even know it was a convertible. Spent like 3 hours going back and forth on the price. They helped me out a bit which was awesome but I told them not to run my credit through other banks as I was pre approved. Guess what they did....through 5 other banks... so they wanted super high numbers and finally I said let me see the finance guy. Talk to him, got the exact numbers I wanted. No hassle, no high apr or anything. Why did I have to argue a price and apr and all these terms, when I had a pre approval and I show the finance dept and they approve that right away? I don't understand. But, I got the car I wanted, for a great price, with great terms. So I'm not upset.

Awful Customer Service, Everyone looks like they do not want to be there...is fine if they don't but greet your customers better, have some respect, other dealers around the area have much better customer service than Gateway.

Spoke to John in service dept regarding our son's ...

Spoke to John in service dept regarding our son's 2006 Chevy Cobalt that would not start. We had to have the vehicle towed in on a Saturday (early in morning), and didn't get diagnosed until Monday. We were told it was a bad fuse block, that engine would not crank (which we already knew), but they also said there were no lights on dashboard, which was a lie. When you try to start it, the dash lights do come on, but car won't crank at all. Upon John telling us what it was he went on to tell me it was going to cost $695.00!!!!! Being we are not rich, we couldn't authorize the replacement of a new fuse block. My husband spoke to John to ask a few questions about what they found, and his response to him was just come and pick it up. Really good customer service...NOT! Had to have the car towed back home and my husband (retired mechanic) said they never tightened up the fuse block, it was loose. Will never go back to Gateway Chevrolet again. Not customer friendly with my family.

I want to Thank this dealership for getting my car fixed several times. This latest time I tried to get repaired from a rear ended by a commonwealth insurance policy holder and they dont accept claims from them, I am discovering how bad commonwealth coverage is and need my car fixed again. Turns out my car was a total loss. When I am ready to purchase a car again, I will definitely consider this dealer and look her first.

So i have been a loyal customer for years, after making an appointment for an oil change that according to one of the workers i still had warranty for the 2 free oil change, made the appointment PERSONALLY just to make sure i still had it, went in last friday and according to them i still had the warranty, since i bought my 2017 silverado 13 months ago, took it in this morning now they are telling me the warranty has expired , i am very disappointed as they always come up with any excuse why they cant do any warranty work, will definitely stay away from this dealership, and make sure to tell everyone i know about this, very they didnt honored it ...so do yourself a favor and try to stay away from this dealership.

We went to gateway to get my girlfriend out of a car she did not like, we talked to Jose Lemus who worked with us and was very patient and worked out a great deal for my girlfriend with zero down on a new 2017 Malibu. Impressed with the service and deals Jose Lemus got us I myself went the next morning to get one myself as the deal was too good to pass up. If you ever come to Gateway Chevy ask for Jose Lemus he will work with you and get you a great deal on a new car in no time.

I can't say enough about how friendly, determined and awesome the staff is here working together to make sure I could get what I wanted. I felt overwhelmed because I knew there was challenges to overcome but I was treated respectfully and made me feel appreciative of all the work they did to help me get my first new car. Dont shop here they will pull the fast switch on you. I was told that for $895 I was getting gap insurance and oil changes for the next 3 yrs but I dont get the maintenance for the truck only gap but they charged me the same price and didnt tell me that when they had to write a new deal that that had changed and then I was told by the guy Jaun who wrote the deal that my truck was covered bumper to bumper mechanical and electrical and now that doesn't apply and that there is no loaner vehicle to get home or to work while the warranty work is being done. If you do choose to go to this dealer then I tell you buyer beware and make sure they give you the opportunity to change your mind if the deal changes in anyway. DONT BUY YOUR VEHICLE HERE THEY WILL $%@# YOU!!!!!!!! And to also add Jim Scully didnt even want to try and rectify the matter in anyway

We just moved to Goodyear and due to the type of oil my car uses, we have to take it to a dealer for the change. Pulled in and was not acknowledged for a couple of mins. Several guys were walking around but no one approached my car for a bit. When they did, they called the guy who my husband has spoken to. He said they'd take the car and be done in under 2 hours.

Waited in the waiting area. Note about that area. The upholstered chairs were filthy. Seriously needed to be cleaned.

Car was done in just over an hour. Not bad. It all went downhill when I went to pay. Previously, at our old dealer in CA, we'd pay about $40 for the change and tire rotation. So imagine my surprise when they charged me $61! I asked them if there were any deals from their website that I could use. They said no because of the type of oil. I said I'd be willing to pay the difference on the oil and they would not work with me at all. They were not willing to work with me at all.

When I went into my car, the sticker said it would need its next oil change in 3k miles. They didn't even bother to change it when I know my oil needs to be changed every 5-7k miles. What a joke.

I'll never bring my vehicle here again.

Came in with my father to look at the Spark and had an excellent experience. Jose Rincon took care of us from start to finish- didn't feel like we were just another sale for him. He took the time to listen to us and answer all our questions. Excellent customer service. I will be coming back when I am looking to buy again and will be recommending Gateway to all my friends who are looking to buy.

I had originally rated this place really high as the beginning of my experience was great. Everyone was super nice. But when it came down to actually buying my car that's when it went down hill. I was originally told my car was going to be approx 18,800 before tax or title. While I was signing my paper work Eddy in finance did not go over any prices with me. I assumed I was paying the 18 for the car plus tax and title and fees. Multiple times Mike in sales told me that everything that the car had was included in the price he showed me. As we were going through the paperwork for my loan Eddy did not tell me that he had added an additional service contract to the price of my loan. He said the it was included in my package with the car. It was not. I looked at my sales contract and it added almost 4 thousand dollars to my loan that I was not aware I was paying for. Not once while I was signing paperwork was anything explained to me. So the total amount of my loan came out to over 26,000 for an 18,000 car. Who in their right mind thinks that is ok to do to a first time car buyer!?! The worst part is I was told I only qualified for a 21,000 car. I really wanted the new 2016 chevy malibu. But was told it was out of my price range. It was only 24,000. If I NOW have a 26,000 dollar loan, there is no reason why I couldn't have had the car I really wanted WITHOUT a stupid service contract. Also, they stated in my sales contract that I put down 3,500 dollars when I only put down 500. When I left the dealership I thought my owners manual and floor mats would be in the trunk since the car had been washed while I was signing. NO. They didn't make sure I had floor mats, owners manual, spare key and I didn't ever get the sticker that was originally on the car. I had to come back the next day to get these items and I still don't have the car sticker. Something is seriously sketchy with this place and the way they do business. BEWARE.

2 employee's at this dealership had a copy of my license and still misspelled my last name car was paid cash and they still needed to fill out financial paperwork and to finish they needed a power of attorney that we only signed because Sergio the salesman did everything right and deserve his commission but we were ready to walk out and go to Dodge were we purchased a Durango in 2000, 2004, 2008 and a Nissan in 2013 were we never had any problems

He has diligently responded to all of my questions and concerns and has gone far above and beyond what anyone would ever expect. Jesus has been nothing short of extremely professional and responsive. Quick rundown with explanation below.

Overall typical sales tactics and dealership haggling. Called to confirm first service appointment, got routed to voicemail after having someone answer second time, person finally just confirmed it themselves as no one was answering. Communication between their service department, shuttle service and cashier/front attendant non-existent.

Bought a new Truck, waited to do my review because the entire sales process hadn't been fulfilled. Had an add-on item negotiated into vehicle sale. Made cash offer, took all afternoon to get finished, typical. Week later took vehicle into service to finish sale fulfillment. Arrived at 7:15 a.m. to make sure I could get on their shuttle service, waited 35 minutes was told shuttle service just left after asking what was taking so long after confirming with multiple employee's they'll announce over the speaker. Ended up waiting another 15 minutes and just ordered an Uber to work.

Buying a vehicle is the 2nd most expensive thing most will do in their lifetimes. The customer service and communication should be on par with this. Unless you really need a vehicle here and have all day to wait on them, look elsewhere.

Why does this dealership have just a negative vibe? All the service advisors literally gave a horrible welcome in the service drive and some what clueless like I came in today with a fleet maven vehicle and they are literally so clueless and just no smile straight frown and mad looks all the way. And the guy told me it'll be a 3 hour wait?!! There was barely cars there and just for a oil change really?? And tend to find out they can't do fleet cars on weekends and just literally said bye no good customer service in having me schedule for Monday nor gave me a card to come back just horrible customer service I've worked at dealership and this dealership needs to go to customer service classes smh

Told me they could put me in a car, so I drove from Mesa. Spent 3 hours signing paperwork for the car I was told I could get, just to find out that they couldn't get me a deal. Wasted my time and theirs. I told them upfront I had bad credit that I was working to fix, and I didn't want to fall in love with a car and then be disappointed. Unless you know for a fact you'd be able to get bank financing, don't waste your time.

Last weekend I received a phone call from my paren...

Last weekend I received a phone call from my parents and brother asking me to join them to go look at some new cars at gateway Chevy. I had just gotten off from work so I agreed. When I arrived I meet up with my parents and the sales associate named Gabriel I was greeted by him and so we started looking at cars everything going well. This car was mainly going to be for my parents, so we went inside to run my dads credit to see if he can approved for a car loan. Turns out he had no credit history for the past 10 years because he didn t have anything on credit during that time. So for him to approve for a loan he needed a co signer to get the suv they wanted. So my brother offered to help out and run his credit.(note my brothers credit score is higher than mine, but we both have over 750 fico score) he approves so we start the negotiation process. After thinking it threw my brother and I agree to use my credit to co-sign for the loan due to him having many current credit lines open. (Note:some negotiation for car price has taken place by this time) So we tell the sales associate Gabriel to run my credit and let us know if I approve. Less than 5 minutes later Gabriel walks up to my dad and slams the piece of paper demanding to give him a signature on the deal, he did this without letting myself and family know if I had approved to co-sign on the deal, I immediately told my dad do not sign that paper. Super shady way to run a business if you ask me. So Gabriel walks away and Loan manager comes back with a better deal than before so we agree on a set price for car around 23k with registration, taxes, gateway package etc. included in that 23k price.. this does not include interest and the extra gap insurance we wanted. So when it came down to start signing the paperwork I noticed a change in car price when the loan manager said this paper is for the gateway package it cost $796 so that brings your total to over $24k and some change. I said hold up hold up wasn t that already included in the deal we had made of $23k. And I know it was included because I remember asking him what that was. He told me the same thing as before all our cars have this and that s what it cost. I said I understand but why are you charging us for that twice and why did the deal change as far as the price we had agreed. He said this is on all cars and that s the price for your suv. This goes to show that this dealership has hidden fees. We did end up purchasing the car only because my mom really needed a car and she liked it. Overall this dealership is super shady, has hidden fees, loan manager does not know how to break down the numbers, bad sales associates, and bad communication. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone ever! Horrible experience!! Hope this is helpful to other people looking into this dealership.

They were so helpful and friendly and I got an awesome deal. I went in for a used because thats what I could afford and turns out they got me in a brand new 2020 for what I could afford. Go $75 lower than what you can afford though so you can get the GAP insurance and all the warranties because they are worth it. The Sam and the manager for all the help and drinks

Very deceptive practices used here. I regret going back. I regret them running my credit . It's funny how blue book works for them when it benefits them but on your trade in they give you thousands of dollars less than blue book with no explanation as to why . don't let them deceive you if you trade a car in they're not paying your loan off they're rolling you're remaining money that's still due after they make an offer into your new loan but they'll keep telling you over and over again that they're paying your loan off to try to get you to buy a car . I bought four cars in the last 12 month period. I will never return to this dealership

I went into gateway to check out some 2017 silverados after my emails with Anthony Luna went unresponded. As I was walking around I was met by Tony who was very nice at the beginning. I explained to him how we were being helped by Anthony but we were not satisfied with how we never received an email back answering questions. After test driving a couple trucks the decision was made and we began the process of numbers and what it would cost out the door. Tony came out of the office with his papers to show us the numbers. Once I started to question what were certain prices for he immediately became very rude. I had pulled up the info for this one specific truck with the vin number and could see the price had changed three times within the last month. When I tried to talk to him he became very loud and talked right over me. Not giving me a chance to explain or ask any more questions. Extremely rude man and not to mention how he likes to bad mouth his co workers. We were fortunate enough to witness an employee of the bodyshop which Tony said he was crash a new corvette right into the gateway building. A few comments made by Tony well you know these kids like there ganja for sure he will be sent for a pee test and definitely will be loosing his job. I feel as if those comments were very much un called for. I dont know what type of employees your company likes to keep around but I can assure you it's not any type of person I will be doing business with. After leaving gateway we went to another dealership had a wonderful experience we bought our truck and was treated to Dinner by the general manager. Thank you gateway for employing such rude, unethical sales people because if it wasn't for that we would not have gotten to experience Rodeo Ford in goodyear. They went above and beyond to help us and meet our needs. Word of mouth is a big part of business... the good and the bad and people will remember the negative experiences that someone else had more over the good.

Went in today to trade my 2015 Scion FR-S in for a 2007 Corvette Z06 and was helped by a sales rep named George. I cannot even describe how smooth my transaction went because of George and he was so incredibly helpful and nice the entire time. Every single person who helped us was so friendly, but George did a damn good job at making sure I left the dealer with everything I needed and made me and my dad feel very at ease the entire time with his easy going conversation while we waited for everything to settle. Almost every single person who worked at that dealer congratulated me on purchasing my first corvette which was awesome! I would recommend to anyone going to the Avondale Chevrolet dealer to ask for George when they go. If the owner reads this post please let George know he did amazing! Great dealer!

We enjoyed this place , large selection of cars and Jose Lemus was a big help. He helped my girlfriend find the car she wanted. Very nice and enthusiastic we really do appreciated his help and made car shopping an easy experience! Definitely would recommend to friends and family who want to buy a car.

Let me start by saying, THANK YOU to Joe (Owner), AJAY (Sales Rep), and Paul (I don t know what his title is, but he is awesome)! I cannot even begin to explain how grateful my wife and I are for Gateway Chevrolet. This is not your typical car buying experience. If you are looking for the highest level of customer service in the industry, then stop wasting your time anywhere else. Tell them what you want, they will find it, and they will get you into it. PERIOD. The individuals that work at this dealership clearly care about the job that they do, and value their customers. No BS sales tactics. You come in and tell them the kind of car you need, and realistically what you can afford and they will find a way to make it all work for you. I dare you to go out there and see if they can t get you into the vehicle that you want. Having just gotten married, switched careers, and definitely being in the worst spot financially to try and buy a car, the collective experience, knowledge, and most importantly perseverance that existed among everyone that helped us out got the job done. We drove off in a brand new car and left the woes of our old problem truck in the past.

Took my 2015 car because it was making a noise and...

Took my 2015 car because it was making a noise and had to get an oil change, keep in mind I have warranty on it, and I bought it brand new. They let me know changing the oil would be about $40 and they would check out the car's noise. I got my car back a day later and said they heard the noise but can't find a problem with it, and tried charging me $60 for DRIVING IT AROUND! Never was I notified I was going to be charged $60 and them telling me they don't know what the noise is was just icing on the cake!!! How does a 2015 car that I bought from them make a noise but don't know what's causing it?! Never will they have my service again! Next time I'll take it to Chevy in Glendale even if I have to drive an extra 30 minutes there!

Call got an estimate over the phone for my remote $95 plus labor $80 then 4 hours later got a bill for $295 for the remote 80 of labor $375 the worst part was they had me wait 4 hours to tell me there first estame was wrong they wanted me to pay twice as much worst customer sirves ever. Eager to push us out the door with a vehicle, but not willing to work with the finances of actually buying the car.

Sales person Ricky A AMAZING 5 stars. Now, Julio M from finance 1 Star. Julio contnued to push add-ons after multiple times me saying No. Then he stated that because I did not get GAP my interest rate went from 3.9% to 5+% even though the deal had already been made for 3.9%. He went to say "Is the heat making you frustrate"?, not professional at all.

Update 6/29/2020: GM Robert R contacted me, nice and respectful individual. He explained the outcome of the situation but he did mentioned that typically names of employees are not seen in reviews. Personally, knowing who provides good services and who does't in a customer service industry is important to me when reading a review to make sure I do what I can to have a positive experience. Again, thank you Ricky and his GM for the great customer service.

Went in to look at new pickup, got a price, told them I had GM card points and didn't come to a good price so we left without buying it. Low and behold they submitted my 2000 points and probably got reimbursed for them and I got screwed. Will not go back in there again even if they were a lot cheaper than the next.

Bought my truck there 3 years ago. Everytime I go in they try to deflect whatever the issue is. 1 example, the brand new truck had a custom lift kit installed by them, and bigger wheels and tires. When tire pressure monitor stopped working. They told me it was because the wheels and tires I installed. I did not, they did. I had to make many calls and they finally sent me to 4 wheel parts to fix it. They did at no charge. That was the first of many bad experiences with them

First of all I would like it to be known that buying a new car is very stressful, however I would like to tell you about my experience at Gateway Chevrolet. When I got there I was greeted buy a salesman named Christian, he is an amazing guy, he went through so much to help us find our new car. Never once did I feel pressured. My last experience left me not wanting to buy a new car ever again. But I have to tell you Christian changed my mind, this man went to great links to get me into a new and safer car. I could not belive how attentive he was, and how hard he worked to get me the deal i needed. Christian is amazing. He did not give up until i drove off in my new car. I felt like he really cared about me and my family. So if your looking to buy a new car go see Christian, he's not just a salesman, he really cares for his customers. So thank you Christian your the best.

I put in a finance app before going into the dealership. I had to call them twice to check and see if they could finance me. Finally heard back from a gentleman named La Rue and was told that there wasn't anything they could do for me. The end of that week I received a follow up email from the general sales manager Howard Thaler. I told him my situation and he said that he would personally work on my loan. I told him that I had my heart set on a new Malibu and that I needed a vehicle desperately. Howard made it happen! He did everything that he could to make it work and I still can't believe he got me into a 2017 Malibu! I can't thank Howard enough. Thank you so so much!! When we went in to sign papers, we had a gentleman by the name of Tony help us. He was a very kind and upfront salesman. The guy that I had spoke to first (La Rue) that said they couldn't do anything for me, he was there and he told us that he didn't know how Howard did it. Maybe it was a challenge for Howard? Towards the end, La Rue took over and showed us the ins and outs of the car. He was very helpful and has reached out to me following up with my experience and how I like my new car. Thank you Gateway Chevrolet for making this new car buying experience unforgettable! I am truly grateful!
