Bought my Kia here and one of the selling points was the 10 year / 100,000 mile warranty. From the recent extreme cold weather, the plastic bumper on my Kia cracked at a joint, 10" of plastic. Within 10 seconds of looking at it the service tech told me it was due to impact and not the weather. There is no impact damage, (minor scuff marks) and certainly no impact damage to explain how a significant amount of plastic would be cracked. I would hope my dealer would advocate on my behalf to get warranty coverage, but instead, being dismissed so quickly is an alarming concern that this is expected behavior of their employees, and certainly not the behavior I expect from a place I will do future business with.

By my count this was the 13th new vehicle I have purchased. I had unfortunately become accustomed to it taking the whole day to get done. Not the case this time - lease was agreed upon within 30 minutes and we drove the vehicle off of the lot inside 2 hours.

I went there to check on a recall for my car and they helped me figure it out. manufacturers only give you so much time to get a recall done and you might have to many miles on a car

Friendly salesperson, did a good job of explaining the different options. Worked with me to get a decent deal on a new car. We were there for about 6 hours total, knowing what car we were looking for in advance.

Free carwashes for life, but no other perks at the dealer for buying a car there.

My sister went to Gary Lang Chevy for an oil change. Her Chevy Trax is two years old with only 17,000 miles. Her total charges were $620.00. The service advisor said he was only doing his job when offering the extra services. When I requested to speak to a manager I was told that one would return my call. I never heard from them. Very disappointed. Pat J.

Ricardo espinosa was my dealer he was a great help and got me the car I wanted .He worked with me on my budget and was fast and on his feet to get me a great deal and in a new car within a couple of hours.

Jennifer Robinson is working for Gary Lang and it s giving bad reviews to their competitors like Ray Chevrolet and to the companies who are not afraid to tell them how worst is their customer service. I had to cancel a car pick up with them after I confirmed during the day pick up and than once arrived they said they don t release cars Saturday s after I give negative feedback Jennifer Robinson give negative feedback and say we fail to pick up the car in time and we was late or showed up in the wrong day .....

Shame on you!!!

They had the car washed and ready and staff to get all the paperwork done quickly and effortlessly. Everyone was very pleasant. Always have great service when I go to Gary Lang. The staff is very friendly and professional. The oil change is first come first serve but, it's pretty fast and there's a nice waiting area with coffee and snacks. I rank this Subaru dealership the best I've been to in my 15 years of owning a Subaru.

We ended up buying a nice car here and the salesman was good. That wasn t the issue. Due to Covid, I can t go out because of risk factors with my pregnancy. Thinking that this place does appointment only, I would think I would be fine. We get there and no one is wearing a mask (we are talking about thirty employees walking around not caring and not wearing a mask). If they are wearing a mask, it s around their chin. One of the employees was yelling right in front of me to another employee and then proceeded to cough when he went to his desk. If you have any Covid risks, don t come here. They don t care about the law. I recommend a different dealership.

The number one reason we are repeat customers is because of Leo Lewitan a sales professional that has been with them for some time now. Leo does much more than sell cars- he is great a problem solver and makes the whole car buying process a pleasurable experience. Not something I have ever been able to say about any other car sales person. Leo always takes time to get know his customer first and identify their needs. He is never aggressive and is always mindful of the customers time table and budget . He is very patient and a wonderful listener. All qualities that are lacking in the sales staff at other car dealerships. Gary Lang is over an hour away from Rockford, where we live.
Our salesman, Ricardo and the finance manager, Andrew, worked so hard to get us the right cars with reasonable payments.
Right away Ricardo found a perfect car for my husband, who has a long commute to work.
He is in love with his Ford Focus that is a wonderful car with high mpg.
It was harder for me. I needed my payments to stay under a certain price. I thought I wanted an SUV for my needs. I have pretty much have only owned Volkswagens. Most SUVs seemed too big and kind of boring. It took a few days but, these guys never gave up.
I found my perfect car in a Kia Soul.
It has the fun and quirkiness and small size I love with the practical needs of an SUV for carting around granddaughters and their stuff.
Its roomy yet a smaller car. Its charming as well.
We cannot say enough good things about Gary Lang Auto group.
They did the amazing to help us, get us the perfect cars and payments that fit our budget.
For those in the Rockford area it is well worth the drive to get outstanding professional service, people who will work their hearts out to find your car and see you happy.
You also get something thought long gone these days: Service. Wonderful service.

Last night we went into Gary Lang's on Rte 31 to meet with Josh Somers about buying a new Kia Soul. Josh was amazing. Friendly, outgoing, knowledgeable - a really stand up guy. He set us up with a test drive, found the perfect car with all the amenities we were looking for, and had us out the door in a very short time with a brand new car at an incredible price. I usually loathe the car buying process, but this was painless... dare I say, even pleasant! Josh is a great guy and we would definitely see him personally the next time we're in the market. But everyone at Gary Lang treated us well! No hard sell, pushy salesmen, just genuine, friendly, caring people! Thanks so much, Gary Lang! And thanks especially to Josh Somers!

Did an online trade-in and purchase, but had to come in because we couldn't get PayPal deposit to work. Guess what? Couldn't honor online pricing for trade (quote was ridiculously high). That's ok, we negotiated. Time to pay and then they state price is only if we finance (we said online we were paying cash). That wasn't anywhere online and I'm looking at a $4k bogey on this deal. I walked. They get 2 stars for being courteous, otherwise 1 for honoring a written deal.

If you go to Gary Lang, Dave Shultz is your person to do business with. Throughout my whole process of buying my Subaru Crosstrek Dave was professional, courteous, and patient. He helped and broke down every detail with me. In the end, I was satisfied with the result and I got an awesome car! Im serious when I say talk with Dave Shultz about your needs. I could not be more happy with how upfront he was with me!

Very upfront about what needed to be done and the costs and didn't come up with a bunch of other "problems" out of nowhere. I think it would help if they could update the status a little more frequently on the mobile service monitoring system.

It's all about Kevin. I will never promote another dealer so long as you keep Kevin Wright on your team.

My grandmothers needed a new vehicle after gifting me their Cruz. My grandma was working with Anthony Espinosa in the sales department, He was really sweet and helpful and even made me feel included in their buying process. Then Mark Foster in the financial department, he was hands on with us, and even answered my questions and concerns that I had regarding the warranty, so on and so forth. They really helped and worked hard to help us as good as possible. This is my grandmas second vehicle from there. Loyal customers we will continue to be.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We purchased a 2011 Cadillac Escalade from this dealership. We drove about 200 miles up there to purchase it. On the way home, the truck died going up ramp. Got out and it was leaking transmission fluid everywhere. We were still about 3 hours from home and it was a Saturday. Called the dealership and they told us the repairs were on us. Called a family member and had them tow us home. Found out later, that in Illinois there is a state law that a vehicle under 150,000 miles (which this was) MUST make it 500 miles or 15 days. If it doesn't it is on the dealership to repair. Reluctantly they agreed to fix it, but we were responsible for towing it the roughly 200 miles up there. This was after we were told to try and repair it ourselves. Short story we just ended up selling it back to them, but I'm still out time, parts, towing, etc. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Josh Lass Salesman & Dan Taylor Sales Manager were wonderful and was able to put together the 2 car deals we wanted to do with no problems at all. We are in the process of looking for a 3rd car now with Gary Lang for the Daughter.

Great Service Team, thoughtful waiting area, and quick efficient repairs to our existing vehicle. Most maintenance results in a free car wash. An added plus, they support the local McHenry community's dog park as well. When we buy our next Chevy, it will be from this group!

Huge selection of cars,no doubt about that. But I have never really had a good experience at this dealership. Sales people have there own agendas, which I suppose isn't out of the ordinary, and any time there is a problem there is an excuse to go along with it.

Service department is always quick to help and service your car while you wait. Overall compared to other dealerships i went to (and working at one) its very fast and convenient. Shane had helped me out the last couple times and has been great every time; always super helpful.

I wouldn't even give them a star, they had us thinking we was going to get a car. Drove 40 miles to this place and stayed all day for them to tell us that we didn't have a form. We brought everything they wanted us to bring, so if you want to waste your time and donate blood too. Don't do it!
