Dear Mr. Fullmer,
Dear Mr. Fullmer,
To sum it up...
I first called Gary Lang for service in May 2018, My truck purchased in January 2018 was shaking, and quite violently at high speeds. It made it through the spring but then got continuously worse. In May, I called Gary Lang to set an appointment for service. The young man didn't know what a diagnostic fee was, how much it costs, and had no information about the availability of a courtesy car. He just informed me "Ms. Mary Kay" would be getting back tome, but to schedule service with him at that moment. I did, and never received a call from Ms. Mary Kay. I called for service once again in June 2018, and again the employee had to idea about a courtesy car but to schedule service and someone would get back to me. Once again, no one got back to me, and I was not able to successfully reserve service. Ricardo later informed me this was because Gary Lang outsourced all of its service appointments offsite.
I called Ricardo on 07/18/18 Notifying him of the severe conditions of vehicle and expressed my concern for the overall safety of it. I told him I would be bringing the vehicle in for service the following day, and wasn't happy with what I had already found out at a certified Chevy dealer, an alignment shop, and a tire retailer. When I brought the vehicle in on 07/19/2018 I began to explain to Ricardo that the certified pre-owned, meticulously inspected truck he showed me the value in wasn't back at Gary Lang for blinker fluid. It was there because in one season, (spring) this vehicle was not safe to drive.
Ryan the used car manager, heard this conversation escalate and asked us over. Ricardo blurted out to the employees, managers, customers, and me that he talked to Greg in service and Greg said there was nothing you could do to fix the truck. Foolish. I corrected Ricardo and told your managers. customers, and employees the truth; that I spoke to Greg 5-6 minutes prior and he planned on looking at the truck, but had no one there experienced to look at it.
I explained to Ryan, that there was rumor of shocks or struts, but it was diagnosed with alignment issues. Severe enough to ruin the tires. I explained that I wanted Gary Lang to diagnose it and fix it. I asked him to fix it because a prior conversation with Lloyd brought to light that this "certified pre-owned vehicle" taken in on trade at 70,000-75,000 miles never saw an alignment rack or a simple alignment before being sold. I bough a truck with such a severe alignment issue from Gay Lang, it Ruined my tires that should have been otherwise good for another 4-5 years. Extremely distinct, uncharacteristic tire wear.
To sum it up. Ryan said he would take care of the alignment, and got the tires down to seven hundred some odd dollars. My Bill was still $869.00 and had an alignment charge on it.
Attached are photos of the condition of my wheels and tires when i picked my vehicle up from Gary Lang on 07/27/2018/
On 07/31/2018 I Called Andrew and asked to speak to Ryan as he was unreachable by telephone. He had Ryan return my call. I explained to Ryan on 07/29/2018 I was driving my vehicle with new tires how from a job I bid. On off ramp of the 355 express way my front wheels of my vehicle began choking and locked intermittently cause me to lose control of the vehicle through the gravel into the grass. Thrilling, terrifying, and complete disregard for my family's safety, let alone mine. After a 25 second investigation, Gary Lang's new tires they installed, same size, were locking, rubbing, and chaffing on the vehicle bare frame! how this was not noticed after a simple turn of the wheel before being returned to me bewilders me. I am assuming it was looked over as the caked on tire lube and sealer was.
The vehicle absolutely should have been aligned upon certification and or just trade in, I should have never paid for tires in the first place and did. They nearly and could have killed me by lack of slowing down and doing a once over of the vehicle.
