Beautiful resort in the rainforest. A nice stop on our way to the Las Cruces trailhead. Had a very nice lunch at the Monkey Bar also.

The hotel is old but the place where it is is not a paradise
A place of excellence And reasonable prices for exclusivity
Beautiful resort. The hotel terrace offers a unique view of the the surroundings.
The place is beautiful I was with my family.
The restaurant at breakfast very good young Ana Castillo.
He received us in a very nice way.
This hotel is the best destination to live the jungle experience of rain forest with all the comforts and luxuries.
Pools, gardens, bars, tours, restaurants, etc.
Enjoy the stay and they take care of everything.
In the delta of the Chagres River and Gatun Lake.
Love it so much. Whent here is With my entire family is it was amazing would definitely recommend this for anyone who is into wildlife and nature. You could stay here for a few days or 4 weeks and you would still have so many things to do I would love to go here again. It's definitely worth taking a trip and just seem beautiful wildlife. It just once in a lifetime experience that you will never forget. Song monkeys sloths real rat like creatures. There are tons of birds all over 200 species in just 3 days
Very colorful a lot of natural wealth 35 minutes from the city
They have abandoned historical villas. They have no vision as a company. They let loose the serpentarium and the bathrooms in the exhibition area are dirty and neglected.
The place is beautiful but not many food options. If you like buffets thi place is for you but be ready to pay... Expensive. To buy a snack have to drive to an hour... But again. The place and the area are a must see
Easy access to Gatun Lake for Dragon Boat competition
Very nice and safe even though wild nature is all around. The service is great and desserts were delicious.
The hotel is good, the rooms are too, but there is nothing to do except the excursions, they could get to Gamboa, do the excursions and go back in the day. It does not give to stay as much as one night
Unique, peacefull resort in lush green garden next to Chagres river. The distance from Panama City is about 50 minutes drive. Architecture style remind old times when the nearby canal was built. The rooms are quite spacious, the bathrooms especialy. Some balconies are equipped with hamackas. Deluxe rooms are more modern in terms of furniture. For in house guests are some activities free of charge (nature walk, slot sanctuary, orchid garden, night safari)... in terms of food there are two or three options. Buffet breakfast are fine, like in avarage star resort. Buffet lunch is great, with nice selection of food. Buffet dinners are poorer than the lunch. Othe option for dining is Monkey bar where you can eat food like pizza, some fried staff and hamburgers.Prices are okay(10-12usd/meal) portions quite big. Than next to resort is other restaurant, above the water- tjis is just for buffet lunch for groups. Again avarage 3 star resort food. In the tour desk you can book some othe excursions from which I reccommend Embera indian village, Gatun lake tour or mini Cagres cruise. If you want to see some animals and fully enjoy the activities, stay here for 1-2nights. Enjoy
Nice way to see the natural forest and a few of the animals
Cool view, excellent place to relax, decent WiFi, rooms are nice, some activities, i will stay there again but no more than 4 days.
Nice looking hotel overlooking lake Gatun back water. Lunch menu was adequate but not sterling. Birding, fsshing trips, monkey sighting and bird sighting trops available.
Reasonable
You have to improve
This is our second night and we get a better sense of what is wrong. We did run into some staff who cared and genuinely helped, but the flaws remain: lack of personnel training, lack of management supervision, basic correctable problems are ignored ( loud bar music, dirty pool, over chlorinated to the point of causing reaction, no pool towels for hours, slow service, incompetence, no maps no explanation no brochures except the minimal useless ones you have to ask for. You find out what is available by talking to other guests or probing with the few personnel who are genuinely interested in being of help. Maybe it is a case of general staff burnout after the busy Easter week end, but at the prices charged for this hotel it is absolutely not acceptable. It is a shame because this is a 5 star location and rooms properly serviced and checked could be rated equally 5 stars, but the untrained personnel and lacking management supervision still result in a feeling of disappointment. Staying one more night so let us see if things can get any better.
The highlight of the hotel is the station for arrived or nisshandelte sloths. About 300 meters behind the main building, you can see the howler monkeys who were detained by the police for being caught by the poachers. Unfortunately, the animals can never return to freedom once they are used to humans. There are also beautiful butterflies and orchids to see.
The hotel is very good and also the attraction. The rooms had 2 double beds so we only used one room, and we requested that the other room be canceled
It was great seeing the monkeys, though many are not ingenious to the area and depend on tourism for food..in spite of a HUGE rainstorm, it was a fun trip
Very nice place. The place. But it seems to me that people are not very prepared for the tourist
They have really beautiful places with many biodiversity, the view from the tower when arriving by cable car, the reserve of the sloths, the butterflies and the boat ride in which different species of monkeys are seen is a spectacle. Highly recommended!!
To enjoy nature is very good, you can breathe fresh air, the place is super cute as well as the rooms as you can see. It was a great stay, the room service menu is somewhat lacking. The excellent attention :)
Good hotel, good service, the restaurant has good food ... A +++
Wonderful place. Excellent accommodations. Nice and caring people among employees. However management that keep them working in substandard conditions is regrettable and should be inmediatemly fired and replaced by real professionals that know and understand the bussines.
Beautiful resort and well worth the visit. Unfortunately if you are not staying here then a ride on the chicken bus from Albrook transportation terminal is in order.
My stay was pleasant. A little away from the city, but finally that is the idea. A tropical jungle environment. There are several highly recommended tours.
We booked our tours here and chilled out at the bar.
friendly staff
Kaffee good coffee and good snacks
fantastic view
fast wifi
huge facility
Tours well organized with an English speaking guide
Beautiful nature surroundings , good service, friendly staff.
Friendly staff, service at snack bar also friendly but not prompt, bar food took almost 40 min to arrive.
Great location for Exploring Rainforest and Lake Gatun. Offers some fantastic boating tours
The treatment of the staff is very attentive.
Beautiful place!
The tour around Gatun Lake is spectacular !!! ;-)
The service gives a lot to ask, facilities well, really one clears and disconnects but the bad attention in both restaurant and bar, discourages
Super experience. We did the rainforest package tour, 3 activities. It's a full day and I definitely recommend it. Staff is friendly and helpful. Special mention to Hector who went out of his way to ensure we had a good experience.
They took money from Atlas Golden Festival to destroy and fumigate a natural park that has been the site of scientific studies for decades
Very beautiful .. A place surrounded by nature so close to the city and first class service ..
Relaxation, kindness and comfort. The ideal place to disconnect.
I love the tropical view, it's very different from any hotel because of its view and activities. I was at a wedding a while ago and it was great the room, the food and the attention. The family room very different because it consists of two floors, beautiful decoration tropical style. This time we only went to lunch, a rich and varied buffet with many desserts. Good attention . It's far, you have to go with time.
I'm sure the resort was beautiful at one time but the place is shabby now and the staff is apathetic. The town of Gamboa and surrounding area is wonderful!
A grand hotel located in the heart of the jungle. Their tour desk offers a wide variety of tours that enable you to experience the tropical rainforest in multiple ways. Tge service is good across the board, with a staff that understands that hotel guests are VIPs and should be treated accordingly.
It is a wonderful hotel where you can enjoy and relax to the fullest !! In addition to having very good facilities, the views from the rooms and locations in general are unique .. (highly recommended)
We went to relax, especially my wife after pregnancy and deserved a fortifying massage. We had an excellent time.
Very beautiful place surrounded by nature, and the food of the place is delicious
Nice resort on the Chagres river along the Panama canal. Staff is friendly and even more so if you try out your Spanish. Stay away from the gift shop. It features the same authentic Panama gifts that most markets offer except they charge you around 350% more than the market would. And you did not read a typo...350%. But still a great place to stay.
Unfortunately, there is not much to do with the original "Rainforest". Regardless of any sustainability, a large log was placed near the channel in the forest. Although the hotel is not yet 20 years old, the building is already very dilapidated. The tours in the forest are nice, but so loud that every non-tame animal flees.
The view of the upper room is great, the brunch on Sunday also. Therefore still two stars.
Excellent hotel surrounded by nature offers very good activities, I recommend them.
Didn t stay in the hotel but we had coffee at the bar, which has an overpriced menu and annoyingly loud music, completely inadequate for the occasion. They opaque nature with loud electronic music. Cannot enjoy the sounds of nature. But the view is amazing, nature amazing.
Unmissable walks through the Panama Canal knowing the native fauna, monkeys, birds and sloths !!
Beautiful hotel and very nice people. But the tours are insanely overpriced for what they are, and the restaurant/bar in the resort is hands down disgusting.
If you go to a resort in the jungle, you will have mosquitoes plus excellent location moisture for wildlife lovers and quiet places
The resort is located in the interior of Panama, about an hours drive from the downtown. It is a secluded place and google maps has trouble navigating the last mile. The Uber driver felt it is very remote and he will not venture again. The room in the resort is clean and overlooking the nature from balcony. The restaurant service is very poor, we had to wait more than 1 hour to get the foor we ordered. No eating places near by. We took 3 tours and they are excellent. The air tram is the one I most liked. People are generally friendly, but knowledge of Spanish would be highly helpful.
Very nice and cozy attention. Clean and spacious room
Excellent view, retired and with natural and abundant, very good trails, and daily tours / adventures, I recommend it
The forest is very interesting. The regular restaurant!
Great service. Good attention. You have to maintain some areas.
My husband and I love staying in gamboa. The food is always delicious and the people very friendly. Some rooms should be renovated but those in good condition are relaxing. There are many activities to do, adult tours and children's exhibitions, movie in the movie-style night, walking around and inside the town of Gamboa ...
Excellent place, only detail the service in the restaurants can improve in terms of time
Only had brunch. Overpriced and has gone down hill over the last few years. Hotel is in a beautiful setting and first class. My rating is based only on the brunch and not the hotel as a whole.
If you like the rainforest and are looking for a place to rest, this is it.
Open areas, river, pool and restaurants all there.
