Excellent resort in the middle of the Panamanian jungle. Next to the Chagres River and near the Panama Canal. It can improve certain areas that require a little attention, such as green areas and rooms. There are very good free activities. Other activities too, at a good price. The climate is exquisite and the attention, what awaits. Improve a little, it costs nothing. Thanks for the experience

The scenery is beautiful and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean and very presentable. The best part of this hotel is the rainforest walk around 9am every morning. There are other activities but I don't trust the Zipline activities in any country. The pool is clean and good to take a dip but they have limited hours of 8-6pm daily. There are more activities downstairs from the main lobby. The food is absolutely delicious.

Loved, loved, loved this resort! Awesome rooms, views, pool, staff, food and many, many beautiful birds!! We even saw a sloth on the grounds the morning we were leaving. I highly recommend this resort!!!

Amazing resort! We opted to do all inclusive and, we really got our money's worth. We arrived much too early to check in. Bad planning on my part. But, Isaac, at the front desk, took very good care of us. He arranged for our bags to be stored and gave us snack passes that we used at the Monkey Bar restaurant. The ceviche was delicious and the chicken wing "snack " was a meal in itself! Isaac also helped us to book a tour while we waited for our rooms. We did the aerial tram, sloth sanctuary, butterfly house, orchid greenhouse, and frog sanctuary. We all loved it! The guides and specialists are accommodating and knowledgeable. After our tours, we came back to the main hotel and went to our rooms. Traveling with the parents so, 2 rooms. Absolutely breathtaking with a view of the Chagres River. Each of the rooms had a spiral staircase leading to a 2nd level with 2 twin beds. The main floor had a comfy king bed with big, soft and fluffy pillows. Both rooms also included a balcony with a hammock.
The adventure continues today with a boat tour of the Chagres River and ziplining! Our little one doesn't want to go ziplining so, she'll stay back with the grandparents and hang out in the beautiful pool. We'll join her later and cozy up to the pool bar .
I know that resorts can be a bit one note. Same food, same amenities. But Gamboa Rainforest Resort is truly a one of a kind experience!

An excellent resort, to forget the city and get reacquainted with nature. Your attention is very dedicated. It has parking. Swimming pools. Restaurants. Spa. Outdoor activities. Souvenir shop Highly recommended

It is one of my favorite hotels because of the amount of different activities offered to make everything very ecological, the surroundings and grounds of the hotel are beautiful and giant, lots of fauna and flora around. It's cute! The beds in the rooms are not very good and the TVs are old but it is the least of them with so much activity and beauty around.

Such a shame - this could be a very nice place. But it looks like nobody really cares about maintaining this hotel. The rooms really need a makeover and all the furniture and wall paintings as well. Considering this, the price is pretty high and the food is only mediocre - except for the breakfast which is really good. Maybe the Resort doesnt feel the need to improve since there is not really another option in Gamboa. Too bad - because Gamboa is really a great place for nature lovers.

We are a young couple, aged 25 and 28 years. The hotel looks great and makes a good impression. The breakfast is not bad and the selection is quite large. However, the staff is neither very friendly nor helpful. English speaks here as well as none. Which makes the communication very difficult. You also make us feel unwanted.

Cozy hotel in the middle of the Panamanian rainforest at the Panama Canal, it is safe to stay here, excellent attention, great views and weather, it has different activities and attraction you can sign up every day some with food included, it's great and is a very good place for a weekend getaway

The resort is wonderful, getting a bit old, but the rooms are blessed with an unbeatable view of the canal. If you get there, you should definitely take the cable car ride into the jungle, costs about $ 50, but will remain unforgettable.
What parseled us a little was the tw. also very unfriendly restaurant service, at the beginning a different price was mentioned for the buffet than later debited. The buffet was in no way worth it, therefore not a full number of points.

This resort is exactly what is described. In the off season, only one of the three restaurants is open, but the food served is of excellent quality. The tours are nice albeit a bit pricey. The views from the rooms are amazing. The rooms themselves are a slightly out dated. Lots of wicker, if that's your thing. Rooms tend to have a slight mildew odor, but that's to be expected due to their location within the deep jungle. Television offers only 1-2 channels in english, and has a lot of static. If you are staying in Gamboa for the birding and wildlife, it's great. The grounds host a wide diversity of flora and fauna and can keep an active birder busy for days. Orchid garden and butterfly room are awesome.

The hotel is in a great location, I stayed here for one night. It offers various smaller excursions such as the
gamboa aerial tram where I really liked the visit to the sloth, but otherwise I have to say that I didn't like the food and the interior of the hotel that much.
If you would invest in the hotel, it could be great.
