Great boat trip to nearby wild life and you should able to spot lots of giant vessels transit Panama Canal as well

Very large hotel overlooking a magnificent view of the river and the lush vegetation. Very large complex with huge pool and garden. Decent breakfast but expensive buffet dinner for what it is.

Even if you are not staying at the Hotel you can still take a tour of the rain forest. Monkey Island is a must see.

A very large hotel complex in a very beautiful location. Focused on large groups. Although it is not that old yet, it looks pretty tired. What repairs and paint would work wonders. It is dirty around the pool. Too expensive for what it is but that is possible because it is the only hotel in Gamboa.

Saw 3 sloths and many birds, and a lonely cat on the tour. Great for children.

The view from the hotel lobby on the jungle is breathtaking. Rooms are pleasant. The service in the restaurant and bar is cruel. The staff is poorly trained and has only limited knowledge. The same applies to the kitchen.

Good place to relax and connect with nature. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Although it is a busy hotel, it still feels quiet sharing with many more guests. I love the Tours at night to see animals!

It was good overall. Food was kinda meh. Pool was clean and well maintained as were rooms. If I had to do it again I would learn more Spanish, because most people there even those working in tourism don't speak English. BUT no place is better for seeing exotic animals and birds and within good distance from Panama canal and the city.

The best for those tourists who want and never had the opportunity to be close to feel in the humid tropical forest surrounded by bird flora and fauna singing all day

Beautiful location for tourists to visit the rainforest

This property is located close to Panama City, but in the future jungle. Worth a short stay, but buy a package deal. The price of food is startlingly high. You will pay far more for food than lodging. Furthermore, the hotel has begun to fall into disrepair. If you go you must take the Ariel tram, it is spectacular.

It is beautiful but they do not give maintenance ... it shows and the bathrooms reek of tantrum nor the mc of calidonia smells so ugly and has mold. Otherwise it is fine. You are beautiful landscapes.

I stayed as a guest in the resort. I had a river view that was stunning.

Really enjoyable morning. Cable car ride was great with fantastic views at the top. Sloth sanctuary and butterflies also worth seeing

I did not stay at the hotel, but I did it with my family (wife and two children of 4 and 2 years old), three very good tour (gatun lake, chairlift, lazy) and we had lunch there. Highly recommended Good price and well armed.

You see the typical American houses of that time when you enter the park.
After the hotel is impressive and you can hire there the visits you want to do, they take you on safari buses to the area to visit. There are many animals and vegetation.

Bad attention, employees from reception to the restaurant were moody, working at their own pace and no courtesy.

Interesting resort in a very attractive environmental context. Deficient catering and services like Standard de Panama: lack of professionalism, organization, customer orientation. Still, some elements of the staff stand out, such as one of the receptionists who attended us.

The best hotel in the jungle of Latin America without a doubt! It is my favorite place to clear and share with family, great bird watching and to enjoy nature to the fullest!

Did not spend a lot of time here, just a day trip over to see it. Would definitely come back to stay. Lots of activities available and resort is beautiful.

We stayed here for the first time recently. The resort is beautiful. Our kids loved playing in the pool. The food is excellent and the staff was kind and helpful. We also got a chance to visit the sloth sanctuary, orchid nursery, butterfly house and tropical frog area. All of this was super cool to see.

Lack of supervision of the rooms, no soap, toilet paper. Little illumination of the corridors towards the rooms.

The place lacks maintenance. The staff is friendly but not enough. Pool with cloudy water and dirty tables

Excellent place to know the fauna and tropical forests of Panama

We didn't actually stay here, so this rating isn't reflective of the guest experience; however, we did walk the grounds and participate in their cable car canopy tour. It is a beautiful Resort with incredible views and very friendly staff. The cable car tour was fun - it brings you high up into the tree tops of the forest and drops you off at an observation deck. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and allow you to take your time taking photos and such. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Panama.

We did three of the tours offfered by the resort. The tour operations were well organized and efficient. Views from the resort are amazing. However, it seems the current resort owner is letting basic maintaince slide. This was reflected in the bathrooms, roads, and general appearance of the main building.

Robin, the Reception Manager, is amazing in every way. First, she is multilingual and can seamlessly transition. Second, she is warm and welcoming, as well as sweet. Third, she quickly turns issues into non-issues. Period. She s a fixer. If you can be patient, ALL problems get corrected. You will enjoy your stay and I recommend the Gamboa highly!! The staff is courteous and the rooms are large.

A perfect comfortable place to rest. To others it is a hotel with many years of being built, it has a lot of history that can be learned.
Customer service is something that can be better because it is something very poor. (Not all who work are bitter or rough, the barman is called Cristian very friendly always with a smile that is very nice)

I went to eat at the Monkey Bar and it is the worst place in my life! 1 hour to wait for the food and thinking they are decent nachos, the worst nachos in the world! Processed cheese type cream when for the price in the city they give you triple and fresh cheese. A portion of pico the size of a spoon and to top it off they mistook the sour cream for ranch !! It is a total disaster.

Went for lunch to the Monkey Bar and is just the worst restaurant I've been to in my life! Don't waste your time and money here. There are better resorts and places in Panama.

Hotel in the area of the banks of the Panama Canal, with beautiful facilities surrounded by nature, swimming pools, restaurants, beautiful rooms, aquatic excursions and hiking.

It's good, it's fun. Good customer service. Enjoyable!
