Very disappointed. Hope those people never be sick like my friend, shame of you.

Attended A&E with a letter from my GP after a head injury. Consultant raced through consultation.. Concluded I had concussion. Told me if my symptoms got worse to come back. All in less than five mins. Left there feeling like I had wasted his time. Disappointing considering how serious an issue this is.

Skillful doctors can and do make diagnostic errors...

Skillful doctors can and do make diagnostic errors even when using reasonable care. The key is determining whether the doctor acted competently, which involves an evaluation of what the doctor did and did not do in arriving at a diagnosis. Dr. Aileen Faherty referred me to se Dr. Colm Fahy because of personal interests. Decided to change Gp and going to another specialist.

Attended Dr Maeve Durkan for thyroid, such a waste of time & money. She is very dismissive of thyroid issues. She is a very nice lady to deal with but in terms of getting treatment for your thyroid condition i definitely do not recommend her.

From the minute I stepped in the front door the care was exceptional. All the way from admissions - pre surgery ward - post surgery ward I could not have been given better care. Highly highly recommend. Thank you all.

Not worth the money. My girlfriend arrived early for her appointment at 9 and then waited over 2 hours while people who arrived after her went before her. When she asked why people were going a head of her, she was told they were scheduled before and were just late. Why should she be penalised for other people being late. Their appointments should be rescheduled. Terrible experience for a private hospital

Because I have seen the team of medical professionals from around the world taking 24/7 care of privately insured individuals making them and their families believe they will find the cancer in their body system, convinced them that they are dying day after dY and spread the pain well behind the fine looking empty property with branding medical

Can only describe the Oncology unit as a disgrace....

Can only describe the Oncology unit as a disgrace.!!! They have an consultant Oncologist who works in the unit at most 2 Days a week!!! He works UCHG, Letterkenny , Sligo ... and God knows where else ??? Can you please tell me that a man who works in so many places can give the best care ??? Please read my story Mr Keane is a Consultant who makes money out of people's misfortunes .. he comes in makes his money and leaves he is not concerned about your loved ones do not be fooled!!!! The nurses run that unit and make decisions way and above their scope of practice!!! He would come in and say we will give this person chemotherapy !!! Oh Mr Keane they passed away a few days ago.!!! I know this first hand believe me!!!! My closest passed away but only due to the fact there was absolutely no care, compassion or bother by Keane . If you ever are unfortunate enough to ever get struck down by the deadly curse that is cancer !!! Keep away from Mr Keane . People in Ireland are fooled by Irish healthcare thinking they pay private they will receive the best !! You could not be further from the truth stay In the HSE !! At Least you will have junior doctors who will flag up your results and tell some one ... you will not be left to Rot ,and told to give your family member TLC in a side room where no one cares !!!those poor nurses are running the show these Consultants think they can rob people for there good earned money !!! That is what the Galway clinic is !!! Go to the HSE please believe me I am a healthcare professional myself .

I was very disappointed with this hospital. I spent three days there with an eye problem. I had tests, scans and I was given the incorrect diagnosis. Even though I had an eye problem - I was refereed to an E.N.T. Surgeon. I was discharged after 3 days with an incorrect diagnosis. After a week I knew that my problem was getting worse and I rang Mr.Kinsella in the Galway Clinic and he did tests and diagnosed the problem. He was excellent. He referred me to a surgeon in Beaumont who did an operation . It tool 3 months from my first symptoms to having surgery. I was very disappointed with the Galway Clinic. When I tried to tell the Neuro Surgeon that I had a problem with my eyes. He replied "Relax. When I said my eyes were swollen he replied " you are getting older"I should have been referred to the eye clinic on admission. I was referred to every one except the right person. I should have insisted on being seen by an Eye Specialist. I was very disappointed with my care. I was operated on in Beaumont and the staff could not believe the cavalier attitude of the Galway Clinic.

New premises. But be careful when driving there, because the Google maps will guide you to the nearest street and there's a wall blocking you from the actual entrance which is a few minutes drive away.

I attended the Galway clinic as a day care patient last week and I have to compliment the staff that I met as I was treated with such kindness and professionalism from the moment I arrived.
From check in to discharge everyone was so competent and it was very clear to see such a brilliant team working together.
Everything was 100% safe as regards hygiene, social distancing etc.
Excellent standard of care from nurses doctors and all healthcare staff that I met.
Many many thanks to them all for their excellent dedication to their work.
Well done to a wonderful team.

Exploding on the scene in '04! I was there and spilled my blood on soul on the rocks. I may have left, but the clinic hasn't left me. It has a special place in my bowels. It teaches me every day - keep on rocking my clinic friend. I celebrate your achievements with you! Cheer!

Wouldn't Ever Consider Reviewing Anything But I Feel I Must...Private Health Insurance Not Sure Why We are Paying It...Ruptured A Ligament In My Shoulder While Abroad And I Have to Say Got Great Care In Spain,Xray and Scan All Done Under An Hour,Recommended I Get Home and Go Straight To Nearest Hospital As It was a Very Serious Injury,Got into Shannon Airport all Reports and Scans With Me Got a Lift to Galway Clinic at 12.20 In the Afternoon. When I Got to The Reception I was Told It was Closed But To Go To A&E & See How I Get On!! Was Informed When I Got through the Doors that they had reached their Quota For the Day (Her Exact Words) Even Though There Was 4 Individuals In The Sitting Area.I explained I'm a private patient paying health insurance Who had a Serious Injury That I Needed To see a Doctor..after all It's an A&E Department I walked Into & it Was Lunch Time...They Didn't Look at My letters or paperwork,Didn't Check To See what sort of pain Or Anguish I Might Be In,I Needed Two Injections Just To Get Me Home On The Flight.Such a Lack Of Empathy & So Unprofessional I Was Genuinely So Shocked I Didn't Know What To Say..Im Not One To Knock The Health System As It Takes a Lot Of Flack & Rightly So...If This Is The Service The Private Hospital Is Offering I Dare To Think What's Happening Up In UCHG...Very Very Worrying

On the 31/10/2019 I called the main number for the Galway Clinic at 11.12 am. My husband had unsuccessfully tried to contact Mr. Waldron's secretary several times earlier that morning but the calls were diverted to a voicemail which stated that the office would be closed until Tuesday 29th. I asked the receptionist if she could inform Mr. Waldron's secretary that the voice message was not turned off. She replied that she didn't have "magic numbers" to contact Mr. Waldron's secretary. I replied that I didn't expect her to have magic numbers but I thought she might ask someone to inform Mr. Waldron's secretary of the situation. Once again she responded that she didn't have any magic numbers.
As the first point of contact for the Galway Clinic, this staff member is a poor reflection of the service provided at the Clinic.

The nursing Staff have been so friendly and professional. Not a bad word to say a bout it. Although I find it a bit mean to pay for parking and the coffeee /tea machine in the family room you have to pay for also. I thought the clinic would be making enough privately
