Omg! The absolute worst furniture buying experience. Extended a business trip to visit FLS and Hickory. Purchased items for our new home from both. All items from Hickory were eventually delivered with absolutely no issues. With FLS my sales consultant was horrible on follow up to the point that I finally had to involve her sales manager. She never informed me that a fabric for custom chairs was not available in the style of chair selected AND made the decision without consulting me to order four custom chairs. When I finally got a delivery date I was so happy to finally have my furniture that I did not make a big deal about it. The delivery was scheduled and I was out of the country. I had a relative at my house to accept the delivery for between 3 -8, at 7:30 they had not arrived or called. I called FLS and the driver. He informed he was running late and could he delivery late; close to midnight. I refused and told him to take the furniture back. He called the next day and offered a $100 credit of my delivery fee. I refused and asked for a full credit since they did not deliver. To date I have not received the credit. My furniture was eventually delivered and I am happy with all of the pieces. The swapped chairs are growing on me. I will NEVER deal with FLS for furniture. I will deal with Hickory FM. I rated 1 star because I love my furniture. They really deserve a negative.

I was really pleasantly surprised that Furnitureland South's pricing is really competitive to online sources, such as Wayfair, Joss & Main, Houzz. If you haven't been there in a while - you should definitely go. They do have an online presence, but they have more brands & selections available if you call & work with a designer/salesperson. It was REALLY helpful for me to make a trip over there and meet a designer - she'd sent me some ideas via email first to get an idea what I liked, and then quickly took us to some floor sample areas. There's nothing like seeing it & touching it and getting the great ideas on the showroom floor.

place is massive. i wish there was a better signs to guide people. or have like a customer service building or something

Extremely difficult time having furniture delivered.

Olga Smith work with us to purchase a new sectional. She was very good at her job. She was very knowledgeable. She had a great personality. We actually bought a couch from her back in 2008. It was a very pleasant experience.

It was my 5th visit to Furnitureland South and I always find what I m looking for. They have a great selection. I have used Debbie Pegram each time I come and she is the absolute best!! Highly recommend making the trip to Furnitureland and highly recommend Debbie!!

I was in search of some particular furniture and found it with Furnitureland South. The customer service is amazing can t wait to receive my order definitely will shop with Furnitureland again!!!

Extremely unprofessional staff. I was looking to purchasing furniture from this place. Due to the C19 crisis, I was not able to visit them, so I had a Zoom meeting scheduled with a designer, Donald. He was late to the meeting, and when I texted him asking if the meeting was still on, he started the meeting very annoyed saying that he was also extremely busy and I was not the only client that they work with. I decided to ignore this comment and go on. Donald clearly had no idea that his camera was on because as I was explaining my needs he was making faces, and rolling his eyes making me feel extremely insulted and uncomfortable. When confronted, he made a ridiculous childish excuse that he is wearing glasses. Stay away! It's not the customer service you want to get!

We shop every few years at Furnitureland South and are never disappointed. This visit was to replace our couch, loveseat and chair. Our salesperson was Jason who listened to what we were interested in, pointed us the right areas and explained the choices for coverings. Jason was available, informative, and did not hover (no pressure). His style was a perfect match for our needs. Our furniture is on order... looking forward to it's arrival.

Furnitureland South has been fabulous to work with. Shana Martin was my sales person & she was efficient & knowlegeble & very helpful. They carry hundreds of furniture lines & you will not find better prices.

I have furnished my entire house through furnitureland south. Charlie Sheffield, my designer at FLS, is the best. I recommend him and FLS to everyone I know! Best prices around and great customer service.

Always amazed at all the options available at Furnitureland South, and I never leave worrying that I might find something better somewhere else. I always thoroughly enjoy having a designer walk me around and help with ideas.

Huge selection of high end furniture. Pricey but high quality. I went on a Thursday and had trouble finding anyone to assist me. After 2&1/2 hours I was approached by Diane. She was delightful and helped me with my purchase. Finding Diane was well worth the wait. She helped me find the sectional I am in love with at a great price. I highly recommend FLS. Be prepared though. You will need tennis shoes to cover the 1.3 million square feet!!

Large inventory to select from in their show rooms. Great deals in their Outlet. On several visits My wife Kathy and I had the pleasure of Jasmine Blount serving as our Design Consultant. We were very impressed with this young lady's knowledge, work ethic and professionalism. Jasmine was committed to insuring our shopping experience was enjoyable, successful and satisfying. Our first visit was to find a recliner for our living room. Jasmine assisted us in finding exactly the right one in their Outlet. Delivery was on time and the delivery men were great. My wife was also interested in a new sectional. Jasmine offered to watch for one that met our needs as described by my wife. A few weeks later Jasmine called my wife to say she had a couple of sectionals that might be what we were looking for. In short, we returned and got the exact sectional we were looking for from their show room. Throughout our experience Ms. Blount was a pleasure to work with. GREAT JOB Jasmine. Thank you.

This was my second time in purchasing from your company. If I need to purchase more furniture in the future, I will be sure to contact, Furniture Land South!!

My husband and I went looking for a bed and mattress to this place, we had in mind to get a queen size bed however the bed we liked came only in king size. We thought may be we could adjust the bed to our needs so we bought it. We scheduled the delivery but they canceled the delivery and then after almost one month waiting for them to schedule again nothing happened. Since the furnitures were never delivered we thought may be we could look for a bed with the appropriate size for our needs, so we talked with them to see if it was possible to do the exchange and they said yes but we have a penalty of 1/3 of the price because the bed was already made, it is crazy and abusive, hey they are going to sell that bed to someone else and I bet that person will not have 33.33% discount because the bed was already made. Never again I will look for anything in that store! Be aware with them and their return policies.

Love the furniture. My salesperson/designer is the best. Everything fit perfectly in our new home. Quality is topnotch.

Poor customer service. A complete lack of urgency to get anything done. When they tell you something is "in stock" it will still take two months to receive it. Spend your money elsewhere.

We planned a trip to Furnitureland South to find furniture for our new house in South Carolina. We chose the design team of Emily Taylor and Brittany Morris. We talked before our visit and sent ahead floor layouts.

Brittany and Emily explained their process and asked us our vision for our new home. The designers set up a plan for a mix of items from the Outlet Center and the main Showroom. They worked with our budget and we were able to get some really quality furniture pieces. The design team was really creative and presented ideas we hadn't considered, but were better than we could have chosen.

The furniture was so well made, the fabrics attractive and sturdy, and the prices were quite good for the quality of the furniture.

A very helpful consultant clearly showed us where to find what we were looking for on an easy to understand map of the huge complex. Thank you Tim Shepard.

Great prices and customer service! We particularly loved how everything was so well organized and how responsive our design consultant was.

Both Furnitureland South and our Designer, Donald Beck, are excellent! We needed to furnish a 5 bedroom/5 bath mountain home that will go into a rental program. We accomplished selection of the entire house with Donald in one day. Donald was mindful of our budget and selecting materials that would be durable for renters. Donald really helped us to find some outlet items that would work well with our design and was very efficient in helping us.

You can spend the entire day there looking. Great options and reasonable prices.

Shana Martin is a pro! Is is efficient and ALWAYS responds in a prompt manner. Shana allowed us to have total confidence in placing our order. I will be recommending her to my friends!

Christina Garrison at Furnitureland South (FLS) was awesome. She worked very quickly to match what I found at another retailer. She made great suggestions and the buying process super easy. Only negative is FLS would not completely price match the product even though their website says that they will. I went with Furnitureland South anyways because of their additional warranty and because I had an issue in the past with a different order that they took care of and made right. Quality company!!!

We had an exceptional experience with Jason Campbell our Design Consultant. Attentive and real thought as to what we were looking for a he stayed five hours late on a saturday so we could finish and return home. We furnished our new home in Florida with wonderful taste and with many thanks to Jason --highly recommend Furniture Land South! And their design consultants!

My family and I were in the process of furnishing our new home from top to bottom. We went to Furnitureland South, and dealt with the sales representative, Ayesha who was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond at every opportunity there was to be able to help myself and my entire family make our new home picture perfect. Everyone I spoke with was helpful. The chat on their website was fast and very easy to use. Prices compared to a local store were much lower.

Excellent customer service!!! Way to go Jacqueline!!! I rated my visit 3 stars instead of 5 because I felt that the quality of the furniture that I looked at didn't match the price.

The Prices are outrageous and the stuff that is somewhat affordable has scratches and scuffs all over. If your are looking for furniture that costs an arm and a leg ...this is it. Oh and this place is huge with lots of ground to cover so bring your walking shoes!

Buyer beware! Consider anything you purchase from this company an as is deal because they will deny any claim. They are not irresponsible retailers, and their customer service is non-existent. Go elsewhere.

Upon arrival we described this as the "Disneyland" of all furniture places, escalaters, starbucks, subway, other furniture divisions, and an enclosed sky bridge to connect you to the "giant dresser" building, hahahaha..never seen anything like it!!
The front desk folks at the building to the right of main entrance were super friendly, helpful, and got us connected to sales quickly. We worked with Jason Campbell, very professional, great listener, took us straight to what we were looking for.
We needed a recliner soon, so we went to their Outlet location on same campus, where cash and carry is convenient! With Covid, we were told that most lead times on furniture is 14 weeks out when shopping around. So if you need something now this is
the place to find it! Great quality service, we'll be back for sure!!

It was a most pleasant experience. We have never seen such a huge collection of furniture and it was set up so beautifully. Our design consultant was personable, friendly and most important very knowledegable which helped us in arriving at a decision.

Quality of the products is really bad.

We had an alignment problem with the center table and even after it is replaced, the replaced table has the same issue. With all these issues we decided return and purchase different table. For this we drove again to Furniture land south to select a new table.

And the latest issue is with a leather recliner chair; we are surprised to see stitches are coming off in the joints in the seating area. Not sure how long it s going to take to replace it.

May not buy from furniture land south in future.

Working with Rose Shockley, she has been an unbelievably responsive customer focused sales person. Helpful, gets back to you super quickly. A great communicator and if she doesn't know an answer she gets right back to you with one.

Great selection. They even have a children's furniture center now. However not very hood service. We ordered some pillows months ago. Haven't received them. Called. They forgot to place order. Once they changed their system. Then it has been weeks. Still no pillows. Ordered custom made mattress a year ago. Came in damaged and deffective . They tried to drop the price on it or give us some discount. We just wanted the mattress we paid for. Had to wait another 5 weeks for a new one to be delivered. Got it right the second time.

Cindy Basel is the best! This is our second furniture purchase with FLS and she has helped us with both purchases. I highly recommend Furnitureland South and Cindy!

We had a great time looking at everything and choosing furniture. Be prepared to see pieces you ve never seen before and to take pictures of your favorite pieces. It is like an attraction for adults, but our kids had fun too.

It's Betty; I visited and made the purchase last Friday. We were greeted by two nice ladies at the front desk. Becky Whitlow took us to see the lift chairs in the Outlet since we needed one today (Tuesday). There was no time for us to make upholstery or style selections. My husband's discharge from his rehab facility came about two weeks sooner than we had been told, so a quick purchase was necessary. Becky was great; she showed us where the chairs were, answered any questions we had; but she never tried to push us anything. She was extremely kind and courteous. I plan to get an appointment with her for some future purchases I want to make soon. She is great!

Best experience ever with Kristin Grubb! She knew exactly what I wanted and the pricing was better than any competitors. Very helpful and knowledgeable answering questions and making suggestions! She is up to date on what will be timeless vs trendy and gone tomorrow. I will return for any future purchases and always ask for Kristin!

An overwhelming amount of furniture options to peruse. It literally takes hours to see it all. I wasn't sure what I wanted, but I found the perfect piece. Gerald was great to work with and made ordering easy.

Furnitureland South is an enormous furniture store in Jamestown. There is also a separate outlet store on the same property. You can find some beautiful furniture and good deals. If you go just after furniture market you can find exceptional deals on market samples. Sales staff is very friendly and helpful. Ask for a map ... seriously it's that big and you will get lost.

My design consultant, Becky Shaw has always been extremely helpful, courteous and reliable with follow up.

Dedra Powers was our design consultant. She greeted us warmly and applied her expert knowledge and experience to guide us in selecting furniture and area rugs for our living room. We brought along room dimensions, a current photo, and a couple magazine photos of styles that appealed to us. Dedra quickly narrowed the search focus to show us furnishings that aligned perfectly with our personal style and sensibilities. Dedra was warm, funny, efficient, and patient as she guided us through the vast halls of Furnitureland South and assisted us expertly with our selections.

Very helpful without being too pushy. Zeroed in on what we wanted, otherwise it would ve been extremely overwhelming. We are excited for our new couch!

Beautiful showroom and plenty of styles to pick from!

Becky helped us buy a bed, desk, hutch, and bookcase that perfectly fit our needs for far less than we thought we would have to spend. We would have been unable to find those pieces or get those prices without her assistance. We also found our ideal kitchen (currently way outside our budget but one can dream).

They had the furniture we wanted but greatly exaggerated how quickly it would arrive. 2-3 weeks turned into 6-8 weeks which turned into 10+ weeks. Bad sales tactics to be sure- felt deceived. Don't make solid furniture plans around this place.

What an amazing experience! I met with my design consultant, Christine, who worked and collaborated with me for the entire 9.5 hr day (so much to see). She listened to what was important to me, asked terrific clarifying questions and helped me to create a design strategy that exceeded my expectations. This is customer service (customer cooperation ) that has and will keep me driving from Nashville to NC again and again. The only thing I have ever been challenged with is delivery ... not the quality and care taken by the delivery folks (who are amazing) but the timing of getting thing loaded on trucks and headed in my direction. Delivery logistics aside (3 star) ... an amazing furniture buying experience (5 star). Thanks Christine!

As usual, my experience with Furnitureland South was very pleasant. My salesperson, Bill Gobel, is very responsive. He answered my questions promptly regarding a product on February 27, 2019 and my product is now on order. This is my favorite furniture store!

an enormous variety of quality furniture and accessories. I could spend an entire week there taking it all in. Sales people on floor professional, talented and patient.

I was very satisfied. Ended up with a better bargain than I expected and the sales rep (Jennifer Davis) was thorough and non clingy (gave me room to browse and process my decision) with no pressure.

If you are looking for great furniture or accessories, but aren't quite sure what you that looks like, this is the place to start. They have a large selection in many price points and design consultants who know the showrooms and can help you make a decision. We have worked with a special design consultant for several years and have always been very happy with our purchases. The delivery crew has always been courteous and especially careful to set up our new furniture. You can search from furniture store to furniture store or you can shop at Furnitureland South.

Debbie was excellent. She listened carefully to what we wanted and took us to the correct location in the store, showed us our options and obtained the necessary quotes we needed to complete the sale.

I am very sad to be giving this company a two star review but felt I was left no choice. I was initially very impressed with their service, I did all of my purchases (2 dressers) online and a sale rep for the company was very attentive to answering all my questions about the two pieces and even went above and beyond to double check on some things for me. GREAT!
However when my furniture was delivered I was very disheartened to see that the white dresser I has ordered, was in no-way actually the color white. Instead it was this weird shade of I think some kind of antique white that had yellowish undertones to it. Again I made this purchase based on the online description. The picture online displays what looks like a white dresser. The dresser I got is clearly not that color and in fact looks really bad next to other white furniture pieces in the room (please see photos). When inquired about the clear difference I was told I could pay a restocking fee (an additional $200 out of my pocket) and choose a different dresser. It seems ridiculous to me that I should have to pay for a mistake on their end - a deceptive picture and no verbal description of the actual color or warning that it may appear different in person. The company's unwillingness to make the situation right is why I am leaving this review - very disappointing from what seemed like a reputable company initially.

We were met at the front door by Sara Lee, a very knowledgeable and friendly designer. She stuck with us throughout our travels all over the store, responded to our very detailed requests, helped us get oriented to the layout, and to find what we wanted. She gave us lots of time to explore on our own and discuss in private, and then supported us when we decided on something totally opposite from what we had agreed with her.
We continued to explore on our own and ended up buying three times what we had planned, all the while warmly supported and encouraged by Sara. She made the trip easy, and reassured me of particular concerns I had about maintenance of furniture surfaces. We are very pleased with our experience at FurnitureLand South.

I am posting this review because of the excessive delay. I ordered a dining table and 2 chairs the last week of November 2017. Is it Jan 11, 2018. There was no communication with me that it would take this long to receive my items when I placed this order by phone. I assumed I would have things for Christmas dinner with family and friends. I ve had to reach out multiple times for updates ( and do get a response). Now I m told the items are at the facility and ready to be shipped ASAP. However, that means another 4-6 weeks since the truck needs to be loaded and then driven to the Pacific NW. Upfront communication would have been helpful. I probably would not have ordered from Furnitureland South if i knew it would take this long. My order was not custom made furniture so it it hard for me to understand the excessive delay. I am upset and want to consider cancelling everything as it is taking too long.

Top notch customer service, working with me to match pricing and to walk me through the process. I have all the faith that our desk will arrive as soon as it can and with great care. Should it not, I know FS customer service will be there to help.

My husband and I were greeted right away as we walked through the Showroom door, but were pleasantly surprised that our sales associate was very low key, gave us a quick layout of the buildings and gave us her cell number if we saw anything we liked. Throughout the day we sent Maddie various texts, and she quickly responded to all our questions. By the end of the day, Maddie helped us finalize our selections and the whole process was handled smoothly and efficiently. To add to our wonderful experience, a week later as I was still looking for a dining buffet to go with the table and chairs we purchased, Maddie carried one of our chairs around the showroom floor to find us a good match! What amazing service and we couldn t be happier with our new furniture! We highly recommend Maddie Evans, she was awesome to work with.

I had never been to Highpoint. I had a fantastic experience at Furnitureland South. From sales to delivery I couldn t have felt better about a company. Rick Amos was my salesman and he quickly assessed what I was looking for and my taste in furniture. The whole day went quickly and was very exciting and not overwhelming (which I had always experienced and feared). Payments were easy online and no pressure. As soon as payment made and furniture was available to be delivered I was given dates for delivery. Delivery was punctual and professional. I was very impressed with how nice everyone was how helpful and always going above and beyond to make sure I was completely satisfied. And I was. Can t say enough good things. And I usually don t bother with reviews.

+ They offer free shipping if you purchase >=3,000$ worth with a caveat of purchasing their 5 year Protection plan for an additional cost of 2.75 or 3.25% of total cost which is actually not bad.
+ I have been to many furniture places but never found this vast, unique and good collection
+ Their pricing is very competitive (compared to other stores I visited given they sell premium only)

- Your experience can be quite awful based on whom you choose as your designer
- The prices vary based on the designer you choose which should be the case

We were very lucky to meet Emily on our 3rd visit on which we finalized and purchased the furniture we need for our new house.
She was very honest, helpful and accommodating as per our needs and never tried to upsell anything.

Previous bad experiences at FLS:
1st Visit: Met designer called Ahmed who was actually very helpful in finding the furniture we need but we felt that his pricing and negotiating tactics were bad. He offers different price for each item based on how many items you purchase. Initially I was convinced that its acceptable as the seller can benefit If I purchase more. But that is not true. Its just with this designer.
It is just to push the customer to purchase more. Very shady tecnhiques. We actually got much much better prices even though we purchased lot less when we finally purchased.

2nd Visit: I even didn t remember her name. She didn t even asked us what we need and didn t showed any interest
