I have worked with Ray Haire now for two years. I can t say enough positive things about him. He is quick to respond, and looks for the best deals for us. Our initial purchases were in the North Carolina store. Since travel has been more restricted our purchases have been through photos, FaceTime and phone conversations. I completely trust Ray s taste and judgment. They are a great company with great people. He takes the time to research and recommend what the sell in store and sent links when we needed outdoor rugs. They were sent to Furnitureland South then drop shipped to us and we loved the product. Don t everyone rush to Ray, he s my personal shopper ! Just kidding...he will give you everyone the same level of service! Quality of products, value, and trust are so important. Ray and Furnitureland South have more than delivered.

They were very thorough, knew their product and had a very good working relationship with the different furniture reps. Therefore, they were able to get me everything I wanted the way I wanted it! A wonderful place to see and purchase furniture fo...

A wonderful place to see and purchase furniture for every room in the house. However the employees and CEO/President were very nonchalant and uninterested. My husband and I were in the buildings for 3/4 hours. No one offered to help us and only 3 employees acknowledged our presence(it was at least 15 employees that walked past us). In fact when we were on one of the top levels and the CEO/president who was in her office, actually locked her door after intently staring at us through her glass windows for five minutes. I tried not to relate her actions to the color of our skin but it s pretty hard not to, since it was only the three of us on the top floor. Long story short, I won t come back.

Debbie was helpful and I especially appreciated that she read us and was not hovering or pushy. She gave us her mobile number and answered questions and got purchases ready quickly. So, it was the perfect balance of information needed without any pressure. We loved the deals we got and are considering some others. I have saved her contact information for the next time we plan to visit.

We visited Furnitureland South kind of on a whim when we were visiting parents in NC. We ended up buying a sectional! Great experience, from start to finish. Robbie McCraw was a sales person, and she spent hours with us, looking at couch after couch, leather sample after leather sample. Then, when we went home to think about it, she was available and accessible for questions but not annoying and pushy--just right. The couch was delivered this week, ahead of schedule. We were contacted a week or two before, just to make sure we would be around, and I was able to give them a preferred day, which they honored. The delivery people were in touch as well, were kind and courteous AND punctual. They did an outstanding job getting it into the house and positioned. Thank you, Furnitureland South! We will be back for our next furniture purchase.

Highly unprofessional and selling substandard stuf...

Highly unprofessional and selling substandard stuff. I ve paid the money for over 1 year and still waiting to get all my stuff. I ve been cheated by them and their customer service is non existent, none of the promises are kept and getting any money back from them is a nightmare. Senior management is hand in glove with the staff and don t care how the customer feels and what their experience is, all they are concerned about is getting your money.

[tl; dr] Purchased a lot furnitures in the local s...

[tl; dr] Purchased a lot furnitures in the local store in NC last Xmas. Till today, there are still 2 furnitures not delivered, 4 substandard goods need to be return / exchange, and 3 other furnitures not assembled due to missing hardwares. We have been sleeping on the floors for months, due to the unexpected HORRIBLE post-sale experience.

[Long story]
In late December, our whole family flew to NC and shopped at FLS for 3 days. After purchase, we were told that furnitures would arrive between 6 to 12 weeks.

2 weeks later, we were assigned with a post-sale account manager. Then in early March, we were scheduled for the 1st delivery (2 weeks window). It went well (mostly) and had most of our furnitures delivered. 2 of the furnitures were not installed due to missing hardwares, and 5 delivered are found substandard. 1 other furniture was not installed because there was one piece too large to be carried upstairs. We were told by delivery guy that all issues would be reported and addressed in next delivery, all we needed to do was to carry the large piece upstairs by ourselves (which we did a few days later with help from friends). We were a little bit disappointed at the time but still had hope in the process. Yet we didn't know this was when DISASTER BEGAN.

The 2nd delivery was scheduled for mid March with only 1 furniture (a bunk bed for kid), with a delivery company called Deliveright. Just a few days before deliver date, delivery was cancelled because Deliveright claimed that they "never received the furniture from FLS". We talked to our post-sale account manager. Replied a few days later, she asked us to contact our design consultant. We called and found out it was actually a post-sale issue. Yet the problem was still not solved at the time: no one knew where the supposed-to-deliver furniture went.

Eagerly awaiting, we finally had our real 2nd delivery for early April (already past 12 week estimate). In the delivery, 2 furnitures were delivered (not the bunk bed). But the delivery guy from Deliveright refused to install the unassembled furnitures from the 1st time for us because as they said "we were not told so". We have been waiting for the installation for our bed for weeks, and were really pissed off at the time and required for an emergent installation.

The Friday afternoon before the Saturday installation appointment, we were told the appointment has to be cancelled, because they JUST found out they need two technicians to install the bed while they only scheduled one. WHY? We convinced the guy to come in to install other furniture first, while the guy couldn t install anything because there were still MISSING HARDWARES! We were extremely disappointed and found out the only thing we can do as a customer is WAITING. The customer service claimed that they didn t know where are the missing hardwares, and have no idea on the ETA.

On forgot to mention, the bunk bed was finally scheduled for delivery for beginning of May. That's about 16 weeks since we purchased.

A few obvious issues in this whole process:
- Post-sale account manager were slow in response (sometimes we had to wait a few days to get a reply)
- Clearly communication problem internal departments
- Terrible schedule management for delivery and installation (last minute cancellation, only provided 1 option for delivery time, etc.)
- Cannot keep track of every furniture

Overall, we are NOT happy at all about this post-sale experience. Things are still going and we'll keep updating. Till now, issues are not yet solved and we never know when it's gonna end.

Amazing store if you can not find it here, it does not exist. They have a 2D bar code scanner and you can use this to check the most recent updated discounted price. I really like this feature so you can walk around on your own and then when you have made a selection approach the counter to make the purchase.

My experience working with Elizabeth Moya was exceptional. She was able to quickly obtain product details from the manufacturer that were needed in order to make my decision. Communication was always thorough and prompt, even at after hours times. Pricing on the piece I decided on was considerably less (nearly $800) than what I d been quoted by a store in my local market. Provided the experience with delivery is good once my item ships, I will definitely continue working with Furnitureland South for future purchases.

As a preface, ordering furniture and touring their showrooms is an amazing experience. Their designers empower the customer by guiding them through the array of furniture styles and set options that Furnitureland South can provide to the consumer. My designer, Diane, went above and beyond to help me find a bedroom set that I loved and ultimately chose to purchase.

However, much like many of the other reviews here, the disappointment begins with the delivery process. Prior to purchasing my furniture, I was told that the bedroom set that I had purchased would be able to be delivered to my Greensboro residency, a mere 10 miles from the Furnitureland facility, the week of August 2nd. I explained, prior to purchasing, that this delivery date was of utmost importance as I would not be taking my current furniture during my move to this residence. I was reassured that they would be able to deliver and assemble the set at some point that week. So, I continued with the purchase.

Three days later, (I was unable to schedule delivery immediately after purchase), I received an email asking me to schedule my delivery. To my horror, I learned that the earliest available date for delivery would be week of August 8th. While it may not seem like a big deal to some, this means that I will be sleeping on air mattress, on the floor, of an empty bedroom for a week. I'm upset because I had explained to the staff that if the furniture couldn't be delivered on the week they had promised me, I would have rather gone shopping somewhere else. I truly didn't expect to have to wait 2 weeks for furniture delivery to a destination that's literally 10 miles down the road from their warehouse.

End note: Consumers be very wary of their delivery promises!

We have used FLS several times over the last 20 years & always had exceptional service. With the exception of 1 spare bedroom set & our kitchen nook table & a desk, our entire house has been furnished by FLS. This time, however, has turned me off of them completely. Initially we were supposed to meet with one sale rep but she suddenly couldn t make it so we were assigned someone else. Not a huge deal other than this very pleasant young woman didn t seem prepared. We sent several bedroom sets we liked, some of which were on the floor & rather than making sure we saw those, she showed us others but skipped the ones we inquired about. Not a big deal as we knew what we liked, had been there several times so found what we needed ourselves. We place our order & find out the day before we were supposed to accept delivery that instead of a headboard/footboard & rails, she ordered 2 headboards, a footboard & rails. So they arranged to send a bed frame so my daughter wouldn t have to have her mattress on the floor. Ok, strike 2 but things happen so I m still not turned off.

Then delivery happens. To our brand new custom built (by hubby who is a GC) forever home. With brand new hardwoods. This was the first pieces of furniture to enter the home. I catch them pulling a chest of drawers across the hardwood on a moving blanket & nicely ask them to NOT do that. I can t believe at this point I just saw what I saw bc they are usually meticulous with their delivery. Not 10 mins later I catch them doing the exact same thing with the dresser - only this time they left a 15+ foot trail of scratches on my new floors in their wake. I was mortified & literally flipped out. This wasn t just a little nick or something that could be buffed out or stained over. In all, 64 pieces of 5 wide wood were damaged - scratches through the top coating, down tot he bare wood. . I was on the phone immediately to FLS & their responsiveness was appropriate but I have yet to see how they handle this. Our flooring guy (who hubby has worked with for years) is recommending a large section be replaced because if they try to piece it back together it very well may not match.

So I gave 2 stars for the past experiences & preliminary response I received but they no longer are a place I will refer people to nor will I shop there again. My husband also had issues with them when he recommended them to his sales/ design team & they won t use them either. Their customer service has dramatically declined in the last few years - we noticed it 4 years ago when we made our last purchase but the order was still right & we had. I delivery issues. Very sad bc they have an amazing selection & prices, but it absolutely is not worth the headache for me now to have about 200sf of hardwoods ripped up in my brand new home. Sorry FLS, you just lost a very devoted customer.

We live in Norhern Va and this is our second visit to FLS.This is the best furniture store that I know of. Nowhere can I find great, beautiful selection of affordable furniture and unlimited options. Makes it easy to personalize your space. And more than anything we got the best customer service. Would like to highly recommend Jim Albright for exceptional service, he took time to understand our needs completely and made sure every single piece of furniture we purchased, we are very happy about it. When we had challenges in selecting the right fabric for the sofa set and the time was running out, he called wonderful Audrey to help us and we re extremely happy with their suggestions. Jim was very patient and flexible throughout and exceeded our expectations!

A good listener, made excellent suggestions, was very patient - we must have walked 2 miles; and I ended up getting exactly what I was looking for. They were not kidding when they said world's largest furniture store to say the least I was confused and I don't want to tell you that I was in the furniture business for 50 years and just retired couple of years ago the young lady who helped me with his name was Victoria was excellent I did make a small purchase 3 headboards and of course they won't come for 6 to 8 weeks but I expected that I would probably tell prospective buyers to know exactly what they want by what manufacturer what price range before they go definitely but enjoy the experience the building is absolutely beautiful decorated to the nines I would definitely recommend it

I had a very pleasant experience in Jamestown North Carolina and Greensboro I bought furniture 21 years ago in High Point and I wanted to update the home again so I came back down to find furniture .
I saw that Furniture Land South was one of the biggest furniture stores in Jamestown and so since I didn t wanna run around all different stores I started there first and I met Anne Harris and she was the best designer around being that I am a male she help me make decisions on furniture and she was very accommodating if she showed me something at a higher price point she always was willing to look to find something of lesser value to help you out the very Best of customer service and customer care if you go to Furniture Land South Ask for Anne Harris she is the best by far

Furniture was not ordered complete by customer service. Furniture delivery was missed by weeks. Furniture was then discovered discontinued. I had to reselect a totally different suit at a higher price. No one seemed concerned to expedite my 2nd order. I paid by check, don t do it! I m very frustrated. In NC for Fall High Point Furniture Market. Stopped by Furnitureland heading back and returning to Raleigh. WOW... I was blown away with unexpected extensive current inventory. I am a new fan! Wish they were in California too!

I paid for a bedroom set in March - delivery set up 5/1 - FLS called and said bed defective - delivered all but bed said it would be in in 10 days. Delivery was set up for 5/30 - FLS called at 7:30am and said they 2 footboards and no headboard. They picked it up from manufacturer 5/30 in HP. Have now spent 2 days trying to get thru to a person to deliver - have called 4 different people - one never returned any calls - the other 3 have told me repeatedly they would call back - they do not and I do not have my furniture. I have never dealt with a company where EVERY SINGLE PERSON could care less about their customers. I would not do business with them again.

In one word, Amazing! Fantastic service, exceptional knowledge, vast selection. If you can t find what you are looking for here, you can t find it. We worked with Christine Grout and Mark Schram and together they helped to guide us through the many available selections. We furnished our entire home in one trip and could not be more excited about our selections. They will key into your taste and help you to put everything together so that your home looks like a designer showpiece. We live in Florida, made the trip to North Carolina and it was well worth it. I highly recommend working with Christine and Mark even if you are just looking for that one special piece.

Best furniture shopping experience we have ever had and all due to Desighner Angela Six! We could have never accomplished all that we did in a day, which was furnishing an entire home, without her expertise but more importantly her getting us and our tastes. She asked all the right questions to quickly get to know us and what we like, and led us to great selections within our budget.
Angela was such a pleasure to work with and we have already referred two other family members to her. She was efficient and made shopping so enjoyable. Thank you Angela...we will be back!

After we moved into our new home, our friends reco...

After we moved into our new home, our friends recommended we take a drive out to Furnitureland South to get the furniture we needed. Even though it was a 3 hour drive, it was well worth it. We were hooked up with a awesome designer who listened to our needs and preceded to spend the entire day helping us pick out our living room, master bedroom, and kitchen set. We were so happy we never hesitated going back this week for our dining room and spare bedroom. Once again we found exactly what we wanted. I forgot to mention we did look locally for our furniture first, but never found what we wanted.
Thank you Furnitureland for being an all around shopping experience.

****When furniture comes damaged, nothing is done to resolve it. Don t accept the furniture at the door and get a refund!
