Horrible!! Funjet stole my daughters money and gave it to the fiance who left her at the alter!!! They told us she would get a refund on the honeymoon....told her they would refund to the original form of payment and nothing else....NO they gave it to him instead. Now Funjet is telling me they cannot reverse the transaction even though they made a huge mistake!!!! The pain she is dealing with is enough and now they give him her money - what is wrong with this company??? DO NOT USE Funjet!!!

DO NOT USE FUNJET VACATIONS. We booked a vacation BEFORE COVID, FUNJET cancelled our trip, AND we paid for the travel insurance. We waited the whole length of their 90 day policy and we have received nothing. We are over 100 days now. $4200 GONE. What an embarrassment of a company. I warn everyone reading these reviews, they re all true! This company is filled with criminals. This trip was supposed to be for our honeymoon, and now my wife and I are starting out life short over $4,000.
Don t use them. They promised a refund then three months later they said it was a misunderstanding. Their customer service is nonexistent. Don t be fooled by their low price. You get what you pay for.
I truly hate that I have to give this company even a 1 star rating! So we booked our trip through an agency through funjet vacations. I always do my own bookings but I figured that it would be easier to do it through an agency,(we have 12 people altogether for my husband and I's vow renewal in rome). Well somehow my brothers name got misspelled by the agent. Mind you, she has done a wonderful job! Everyone but myself was done over the phone and somehow an E was forgotten in my brothers name. You know because god forbid if human error occurs. Well low and behold they want to charge him 50.00 to add an e to the end of his name. They refuse to waive the fee! This is not ok! They said we have 24hours for correction, well we didnt even get our paperwork in the mail until days later. They wanted either my brother or the agent to pay the fee. I think this is horrible business practice. Mistakes happen. We brought them 20 thousand dollars of business and they cant waive a change name fee that my brother had no control over, he didnt physically fill out the paperwork! On top of that, he hung up on me. He says the agent should pay but why should she when she gave you 20 thousand worth of business. I dont do well with companies that nickel and dime its customers and treat their business partners(my agent) with such disrespect! Next time save yourself the headache and book through a different company or do it yourself!
Customer service is absolutely horrible. Over promise and under deliver and point the fingers the other way. Own it and do not blame the guest that booked a vacation through you; as you are the professionals as it is clearly stated. I guess I rather pay my local agent who will deliver as promised..... last time we go through this place!
Booked a vacation to Vegas prior to the Covid 19 pandemic but cancelled due to wedding canceled as a result of the pandemic. Was told it would take 55 days for a refund. It has been over 60 days and have only received 50% of my refund. Customer service telephone wait time extremely long, emailed Funjet numerous times with no results. In a time when so many people are filing for unemployment benefits, Funjet is refusing to refund my funds in a timely manner. I paid $523 but was only refunded $298. Spirit Airlines immediately refunded the flight portion of my trip, but apparently Funjet used a corporate credit card so they received the refund however they have decided to keep the refund because I have yet to receive it! Will never use Funjet again, poor service from every aspect!
This company is a complete joke. Never ever book with them. They are crooks. Multiple accounting errors they lie about refunds and steal your money right from you. I hate that I had to give them one star. Reporting them to the BBB and seeking legal action.
Had a scheduled trip to Thailand in april 2020. Called ahead of time to cancel because there is no way I'm going to China with this whole Covid-19 pandemic. Fun jet says they are taking $100 out of my refund and will receive it in a few weeks. May 18 it was sent but refused that's what they told me. For one it wasn't even for the right amount owed and now I'm getting the run around. Don't do business with this travel agency.
We took a family vacation to FL, and I regrettably convinced my mother to go through a travel agent, because I thought it would be easier for her. One of the worst issues was that they booked us at the Comfort Inn Maingate in Orlando, which was horrible. We had to pay an extra $12.50 service fee a night, and due to their limited shuttle schedule (return options of 5:30 or 10:40), we ended up taking cabs home a couple of the nights. For what we ended up paying in the end, we easily could have stayed at a Disney Resort and made our lives much easier. I would never use this service again.
Here I am 107 days in and waiting on a refund for a trip I had to cancel due to COVID. The hold process is a joke. The employees are not empathetic and more like robots. It did not take 90 days to debit the funds from my account why should it take this long to process a refund. This is unfair to the consumer. I will never ever book another trip w/ Funjet Vacations. I have been more than patient. I have used Funjet twice in the past and the trip went smoothly and I understand things happen beyond our control but this is beyond ridiculous.
We had a canceled flight due to a maintenance issue. Our group had people flying out of two states to meet up in Chicago and journey on to a tip to Mexico. Due to a flight cancellation, 3 of 4 people were not able to fly in until the next day. We book two rooms, two people per room, for 4 nights. Our travel agent contacted FunJet to move the reservations for our rooms over a day, so checkout would be the 6th and not the 5th. We also paid for an extra night in ONE room, of which the one person who flew in alone stayed in. (And was joined by one of the three others around 1:45 AM the following morning). That extra night was paid for in person. The other 4 nights for both rooms were pre-paid. When FunJet sent over the updated dates, they only had the rooms for 3 nights!!! It took over an hour to get checked in on that night because the email they sent the hotel had the wrong information. Then on our last day there, we were informed that the second room, the room that the other two checked into the following day was only booked 3 nights. The hotel clearly had all our information showing we paid for 4 night in advance for both rooms, they had an email that stated the new check-in date was moved over a day. But Funjet was refusing to send an email stating the checkout date was moved over. Our hotel (bless them for working so hard for us) kept explaining that we only used ONE room the first night and that the second room had only been used three nights. We paid for four nights, how freaking hard is that!?? We had the first room an extra night and we paid for that in person. They had no problem with that room. Funjet was trying to say that since one room had been checked in on the expected arrival date and a second person arrived in the early morning that we used two rooms. WE DID NOT, the second person went into the room that was already attended and our hotel repeatedly told them, no we only used one room the first night. Let me tell you this was a nightmare! Our hotel was at the mercy of FunJet as they were a third party that was paying the hotel (with the money we already paid funjet). Finally after another at the hotel made numerous calls and was transfer 4 times, they sent over the email with the corrected check out date. NO company should be able to hold a person and their funds hostage like this. We were pulled off the beach on our last day of vacation (a vacation that started out as a travel nightmare) and had to argue with this company for something that was obvious, simple and should not have been an issue. Basically, we moved our reservations over a day, check-in and check-out for both rooms. We paid for an extra day for one room, which we checked into the day before the new reservation date. ONE room, one day extra. Our hotel told them this. That should have been the end of it, they should have corrected their email and dates right away. They did not. They were rude, greedy and disorganized. They held us and our vacation hostage. Unacceptable. They also messed up our transportation reservations, but I won't even go there. I think the above is enough for anyone to stay away from using this company. I would also say, ask your travel agent if they use them and request they do not.
I m a travel agent and had a group booked April 24 for Los Cabos that had to be cancelled due to pandemic. Funjet offered 125% credit if we did not opt for refund. June 13th we received notice of how much the credits will be. Funjet charged us $250 per person cancellation fees and blamed American Airlines. I also had a group trip with American Airlines Vac and cancelled due to pandemic in June 24 and was not penalized at all. Spoke with AA and they gave funjet the full refund. CROOKS
I booked a vacation with Funjet through my travel agent and have had a very unpleasant experience. I cancelled my vacation due to the Covid-19 pandemic on 3/20/2020 (a month prior to my vacation) and got no update or response until 5/29/2020. I was then told my refund was being processed, I ve waited the full 10 business days and my refund still isn t pending in my account. I understand everyone is affected but the lack of communication from them is highly upsetting. I also don t believe that any refund should take 90 days to be returned, especially since I purchased travel insurance just for instances such as these.
Never book through this bootleg, off brand company. I spent 770 dollars on a trip that was canceled due to corona. That trip was scheduled for March....it is May and I have yet to receive my money. If I never checked in or used their amenities, where are my monies? The travel agent Traci in Cleveland very unprofessional and rude. When she booked our trip, she used her email and got an attitude when I requested my email be on the reservation. Her excuse was, I am flying there too that s why I did that. It is also very hard to get in touch with anyone. I am taking them to small claims.
I booked a vacation for my family and had to cancel. I paid for the insurance because of the covid stuff. They have not refunded over $6500. Wont answer my calls and just give me the run around. It's been almost a month and I'm looking it getting a lawyer. Do NOT book anything with them. They kept changing my flights charging me more money. Just a bad experience all around. STAY AWAY
