Inevitable visit in Madrid! The exhibition of the works allows us to see the evolution of the history of art from Roman times to the present day. I discovered artists that I didn't know and whose works impacted me more than the classics.

The staff that just enter the museum, comes in contact with you, they are the ones who deliver the tickets are extremely "stupid"; They do not inform you well and treat people with indifference. As soon as you enter, you are embarrassed by the visit

It has surprised me favorably. I had little time to visit it, because I have come to Madrid for something on time, but I have been pleasantly surprised that admission was free today Monday from 12 to 4 pm. I will return when I return to Madrid for the Rembrant exhibition.
I have visited the impressionists, because it is my favorite pictorial style. But there are other wonderful pictures. Even Rodin's sculptures. I'm excited.

What to say about this museum that has not already been said ... Fabulous collection of impressionism. Museologically speaking very well resolved, good lighting and with the possibility of being able to access different rooms, or abandon them, without having to go through the rest. It is one of my favorites. Also the merchandise seems very good to me.

Very good museum, located in the cultural area of Madrid. I love his collection of Andy Warhol and the whole variety of artistic works from different times and contexts. Exploring it is an obligation for everyone, enjoying your patio, your shop and the facade is an unmissable privilege.

Kind of a mind boggling experience. So much from so many periods. I even just ran through most of the top floor because I've seen so many Christ's on the cross and Mary's that I can't absorb any more. Even if you just focus on the bottom 2 floors and any temporary exhibit, you will feel satisfied and overwhelmed with art.

Very good museum Organized to explore it calmly and admire all his paintings and sculptures. You have to line up at the entrance to buy the ticket but move quickly. Cashiers are quite agile with attention and recommend visitors the best type of ticket to pay.

One of the best museums if not the best in Madrid, for those who like the expressionists, futurists, Rothko.... Great modern art collection and world class temporary exhibitions. There's lots of classic stuff too, religious icons, Flanders, Renaissance

Awesome!

A fantastic collection of early works. The most impressive is the art of the 15th century, whereby one can follow the primitive painting evolution to the Rainescance painting. The organisation of the whole Museum is rarely good.

The museum has a fantastic collection, what bothers me and comes to give it badly is to stay very long in the area as the walls are painted with salmon. The museum has a fantastic educational service, great physical structure.

Very beautiful and complete with many works. What I liked is that it is presented through a guided tour where you can follow the logical thread divided by century and backgrounds and pictorial currents as a journey until the second half of the 20th century, otherwise you can go directly to the areas of your interest. Furthermore, for each thematic area there are a limited number of works that allow you to deepen them adequately. The visit, although at least 2.5 hours long (but it can last even longer) does not get tired and can be enjoyed to the full. To be seen!

A great museum, right next to the Prado museum and the Reyna Sofia Museum worth visiting. Rich collections of works of art from different eras. On Monday from 12 o'clock free entry for all interested. Although the queue for free entry seemed very long, all of them managed to get in a few minutes after opening. It is worth booking about 2 hours for sightseeing.

A true art venue in a delicately serene area of Madrid. The Thyssen collection is impressive, ranging from pre-Renaissance to contemporary art (fortunately not too much of it). There's always the added bonus of an extra exhibition that's more often than not connected to the museum's trove. Magnificent.

If you are in Madrid do not miss this incredible art museum. The art is predominantly only the art collected by the Thyssen-Bornemisza family. Exceptionally layed out and stunning works of art from Medieval times to the 20th century. Most every work of art in this museum is an absolute gem and was selected by the family members. The Thyssen family has collected countless exceptional works of art and has gifted them back into the public domain for all of us to enjoy. Thank you.

I was almost forced by my wife and I was amazed. It is an impressive and magnificently preserved collection. Nothing heavy is done, but yes, reserve several hours if you want to see the pictures in detail.

If you are in Madrid, do not hesitate to visit this museum, with an impressive permanent collection and interesting temporary samples.
With paintings from the thirteenth century to the contemporary era.
I said a must see if you go to Madrid.

An amazing collection of art. Certainly best to start at the top and work down but essential to know what your area of interest is so as not to run out of steam. Some fabulous works by Gaugin and a very good North American art collection. Be open to the unknown!

Regardless of what type of art enthusiast you are, chances are you will come away from this well-curated museum happy to note some new favourite pieces. This museum houses a vast collection of art from classic to modern artists, and arranged in a way that allows you to easily progress through the levels of the museum and not feel like you might have missed anything special (lots of room between paintings and for walking about).

A brief but genuine appreciation of all the works in this museum will probably have you walking for about 2 hours. There is a coat and bag counter where all things must be placed, for no cost. Photography is allowed, but without flash.

Wonderful museum with a fantastical collection of contemporary art in a magnificent frame.
Temporary exhibitions are usually very remarkable.
pleasant garden.
Only I think your schedule is very negative, it is unforgivable that they close their doors at 7:00 pm which makes it very difficult for working people from Madrid to visit it on a daily basis, which is less than closing at around 9:00 p.m.
They risk becoming a museum for tourists and retirees.

Collection of private art that has a great variety of paintings. The truth is that it is a very interesting exhibition and the brochure that you are given at the entrance tells you which are the most important works. I like that they have works by Van Gogh, because there are usually not many in Spain. It also has a bar at the entrance and a gift shop.
