An amazing museum with a selection of huge works by expressionist painters - Mark Chagall, Kandinsky, Monk, Gustav Klamt and many more. warmly recommended
The best museum in Madrid, with permission from El Prado. Spectacular permanent collection that allows visitors to access works, such as those of American landscape designers, inaccessible in Spain. Temporary exhibitions are usually very original and a great opportunity to meet different artists and movements.
Opposite the Prado Museum, a fine art collection that cannot, however, compare to it. Very easy route, presented chronologically, you must start the visit on the second and last floor and then follow the direction of the visit. The baroness's collection does not have the same level. The visit to the temporary exhibitions is included in the price but must be indicated when purchasing tickets
It is an essential museum if you like painting. Its permanent collection is very extensive and it is particularly difficult for me to go through all the rooms without leaving anything, for this reason I put 4 stars.
Temporary exhibitions are usually very interesting, but you have to plan them in time because the capacity is limited. In this regard, I would recommend buying the early ticket.
Permanent collection is small but interesting, building interior is not great, just modern. They have other exhibitions that change regularly.
One of the stops not to be missed in Madrid because the city does not offer much
Good permanent collection to enjoy at any time, but the current sample of Balthus, is highly recommended.
Well cared for, well supervised, very large, a little scattered, but full of masterpieces
The museum as such is fine but art, too modern, is not to my liking and therefore I have not enjoyed it very much.
I have gone to the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and I found it very interesting. In addition I was able to enjoy a price / student admission ticket thanks to my International Student Card (ISIC). Highly recommended. Great experience in every way.
Pleasantly surprised because the collection of works of art is impressive. I did not imagine it was so extensive. And the number of well-known artists that houses luxury. I loved the culture of all its employees cleanliness and the sober atmosphere deserve more stars.
Great collection of art of different epochs and styles: from medieval pieces to modernist and abstractionist art.
They are a collection of paintings from almost all periods and styles
A large museum, the entrance is 12. This gives you access to a large collection of modern art, very important works of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries
Excellent the temporary Boudin / Monet. Vasarely good.
I definitely like Thyssen-Bornemisza, but to me Del Prado and Reina Sofia are so much better.
Beautiful museum with a great variety of art. Along with the Prado and Reina Sofia, it is one of the most important at the national level.
Free entry. Monday 12pm to 4pm.
Get a free map when you enter to know where the works are.
Van Gogh, Monet, Rubens, Picasso and Matise all have works here.
Very interesting museum. The special exhibits were worth the time to see. This is a must.
Very well laid out large rooms and well signposted
If you go to Madrid, visiting it is a must
To see it all it takes at least half a day but it's worth it
Recommended
An art gallery with a value are the same, it should be done what is necessary so that it continues in our country,
It is a museum of the essentials of Madrid has a very good permanent collection and then make extraordinary temporary exhibitions. The ticket office is very comfortable apart from that you can access the purchase of tickets online.
One of my favorite museums. On this occasion we were watching the exhibition of Monet and Boudin that is simply magnificent.
The permanent collection is very well organized with spacious and easy to navigate rooms.
Excellent, wide collection. Well classified. The space is "inviting"
Wonderful overview of painting from the Middle Ages to the present. Beautifully exhibited
Great museum! A fluid visit and a must when in Madrid!
Okay collection! Unfortunately, too many painting without audio and some that said audio on placard description, but no audio when selected.
Very nice collections, seen a lot of Dutch work, but the rest of the painters very worthwhile !!
If you come to Madrid, an essential visit. The photos correspond to the exhibition of paintings Del Prado and costumes of Balenziaga ...
Strongly recommend especially the first floor pavilion! The art collection after the 19th century is great! The entire museum is well managed and arranged.
Excellent collection of art from various centuries.
Impressive, both permanent and temporary exposure. The store always has something that I have to buy
A huge museum with all possible styles of painting and with some of the best painters in the world, although I think it's a shame to organize the rooms they have, the Malaga museum has it better organized in that regard.
Great art collection near El Prado. A must if you visit Madrid! Do check the temporary expositions because they are normally pretty interesting
Nice, many works but little ludactic, they speak very little about the different schools and the authors that come out. Much to improve by so much potential
Varied and well organized museum. Not at all confusing like the Prado museum and variously assorted. Everyone can find something that meets his taste.
Great collection - does get very busy . I would recommend buying tickets online.
This museum is a part of Madrid s golden triangle of art and for the reason. It displays vast collection from different periods and different meridians (Italian, Dutch, Spanish, North American, British artist). Impressive collection, it would be nice to have one like that. Definitely. The audio guide is useful and it wasn t crowded when we visited it - so we had 2 and a half enjoyable hours.
It complements very well with other museums in Madrid with works and authors that you can not find in El Prado or Reina Sofia.
Undoubtedly the best museum in Madrid (Excuse Me Prado)
Great collection on an amazing place. Mostly paintings. Take at least half a day to see it
A magnificent museum with an interesting collection of paintings. In addition to the permanent exhibition, themed exhibitions attract the museum. There is something to enjoy at any time.
I haven't visit the museum in a long while, but I only have good memories of it. In the triangle, with the Prado and Reina Sofia, this one is covers "a bit of everything" it has a fabulous collection of the best of several eras. Visit with time and patience, or pick what you what to see before entering.
I have no doubt that I will return, we liked it a lot.
The collection is generally organized and presented chronologically, so non-art historian visitors can experience the evolution of western-European art. The building is expansive and the art is accessible, so allow time to really experience the artist's craft and emotion.
Give yourself plenty of time to explore all the exhibits, take a break in the restaurant and rest your feet.
Very beautiful. Worth it. If you are in Madrid on Monday, you can enter for free from 12:00 pm, but it closes at 4:00 pm so don't be late, there is a lot to see.
One of the best art museums I have ever experienced. A journey through the history of art. I have to go there again.
We have just seen the Monet / Boudin exhibition. Very, very interesting, like all we've seen in the T-B. And of course, including the entrance to the permanent we have returned once again to enjoy this immense collection.
It is advisable to book tickets in advance and make the visit in the early hours of the day as it is easily filled.
An amazing education and outreach team. Guided tours and activities that give us the ability to discover the works from other angles are highly recommended.
Because it is a great museum and I love painting, it also makes good temporary exhibitions like the one of the impressionists now
To visit. Italian, Dutch painters, etc., from 1200 to today
Great museum. His temporary exhibitions are original and very well studied. They should review their pricing policy. Seeing only temporary exhibitions is not affordable.
Exhibition of Balenciaga dresses very beautiful and presented with paintings by great artists.
A magnificent museum, a large interesting collection of paintings, a large one of them are impressionism. Floors with different halls are excellently organized, convenient expositions for viewing. We were surprised how quickly the line went, which seems very long from the side. We visited the museum on Monday, and this day a free entrance from 12 to 16. We entered the museum in 10 minutes, and the line began on the street near the traffic light) everything is organized perfectly and efficiently, especially considering that this is free entrance.
Lucky to have in front of the Prado a museum like the Thyssen where you can go from medieval to contemporary painting in a single day in a very well organized and educational way. The Thyssen's collections are spectacular and there is nothing to say about the temporary exhibitions they organize. Mandatory visit in Madrid.
For me, the best collection of Madrid paintings. For those who are very fan, it is better to book all day, including lunch in the internal restaurant.
A collection of immense art, with a great variety of styles and authors. I spent more than four hours admiring art and I could not finish seeing everything, I'll be back soon to finish seeing it. I highly recommend visiting this museum
The guide that touched me was fantastic explained in general but I detail more in the intention of the works. The museum is very clean and beautiful. The works are well distributed.
A really big and beautiful museum! I would highly recommend to go to the museum if you are in Madrid and want to have some 'culture time'.
E s p e c t a c u lar
Excellent painting of the Impressionists! You can not miss the temporary exhibition of Balenciaga fashion designer.
Great wonderful, something that can not leave Spain.
Top world class..even more interesting vs. Prado!
Lay out is very well done. From 1330 on third floor to 1990 on first floor. All big dutch painters..Rembrandt degas..Jongkind...was mind opening! Must see on bucket list.
We have to go more times it is awesome for those who like works of art.
Very interesting museum, especially the rooms 38-48 which feature artists of the 20th century.
