Really amazing hospital with brilliant staff, with the exception of a few doctors who show lack of compassion and understanding hense the 4
star rating.

Whoever rated Frimley Park HOSPITAL 4 stars because it's "full of ill people" what do you expect from a hospital? A land of dancing fairies???

Receptionist was not happy to see me, trust me hospital would be the last place I'd go to too, I was there because I had to. She asked to come in the morning but it was morning.. She said there are all these people waiting and might take 5 to 6 hours, there were 4 people waiting, 2 fast asleep. I heard other receptionist talking to someone and she sound kind. Well I hope I never have to go to A&E ever again but if I do I'll definitely skip this lady and wait for someone else

Just returned home after prostate surgery. Very well cared for by super-professional and friendly surgical and nursing staff. Nothing too much trouble and, given the nature of the surgery, dignity maintained all the way. Thank you to all for your skill and consideration.

When waiting to get seen in a&e the doctor will come out and call a name if they are not there the doctor will not see anyone else and they will come out a hour later. probably just got their feet up having a break

In every ward and every department I have recieved top notch world class care! I have had a heart opertation, tonsilectomy and been for many appointments for several other things at Frimley Park including some trips to the accident and emergency dept and everyone have been so lovely and caring. I mean everyone! This is the best hospital in my opinion you really cannot get any better care than this and I am so truly grateful to all of you. Thank you.

Around-bout hour and a half before I got in to see the Dr, even though A&E wasn't packed out with patients waiting to be seen.
Plus when I did get into see the Dr, I wasn't in for too long.
Can't fault any of the Dr'S or Nurses, thank you especially to Paige, who helped me & we found out that we both had something in common. Thanks.

Generally ok, but my family's experience of the outpatients dept not that great. Only yesterday my daughter, who is 39 weeks pregnant and her 2 year old son were sent there by their Doctor and said they could be seen together. In the end my daughter was seen but was told that my grandson had to have a separate appointment. Eventually they came away without him being seen. Fortunately they had gone there with her husband, who then brought them all back to our house, where she just burst into tears. This is not an isolated incident. So disappointed with standard.

Since I wrote this review we have had to go to A & E a couple of more times again for my daughter and the experience was greatly improved. Our daughter also had her second child here at the end of February by C section and the nurses and consultants were wonderful.

So I will be marking this up a star.

I had both of my cataracts removed at Frimley Park Hospital last year and I could not have received better treatment. They also gave me the gift of good sight again - something that no money can ever buy and for that I am truly grateful. The whole team - from the pre-op to the post-op were superb and I felt that I was in first class hands. I can never thank them enough. Fantastic care.

My nana was in this hospital after suffering a stroke. The staff on this stroke ward and palliative care were amazing. They were helpful when my family & I asked questions, always rang when they said they would and provided my mum with a lot of understanding and reassurance. Thank you all.

poor care, staff does not communicate well - you provide information and requests that are not treated seriously and are ignored - everyone asks again what is going on and promises help .... satisfied with the work of doctors - they provide information that is clean and consistent

Today I met a wonderful ENT consultant MS HARRIET PATMORE . Who was so wonderful, kind and really great with my young daughter. She was hugely professional and really showed she cared. Came away feeling very lucky that we have the NHS. Thank you

Attended at 3am and had a 3 1/2 hour wait, reception staff were rude and the triage nurse didn't listen to anything we had to say and was extremely un nice. We felt as though the reception staff would rather sit and chat to the nurses that pass about tonight patients. Disgusting behaviour.

I have used this hospital twice (both times through A&E) and both times the service has been absolutely fantastic. Good communication throughout, fantastic nurses and just a thoroughly pleasant experience (given you are in A&E!!). This is how every hospital should be run. Well done Frimley Park!!

I am a nurse and landed up as a patient! The Doctors and nurses are kind, friendly and very professional. I don't live locally but there is no chance that I will transfer to my local hospital, Frimley Park is impressive. Very happy with my treatment from absolutely everyone. Only down side is that parking can be tricky. Finding a place to park can be time consuming.

I've had such a great experience with antenatal care...until now.
I'm supposed to see a consultant every 4 weeks at the hospital in my 3rd trimester because I'm considered "high risk" pregnancy. I have an underactive thyroid, overweight & PCOS. All = High risk.
- I went in for my first consultant antenatal appointment almost 4 weeks ago & told her I had Carpal Tunnel. (My right hand - thumb, index, middle & one side of my right ring finger are totally numb, tingly & painful at times making it hard for me to write). She told me I was wrong & that actually Carpal tunnel affects your pinky & ring finger only. Now, I felt awkward because I KNOW she was wrong but I didn't want to argue because she is the medical professional & I am not....but what she told me, was completely false. I left with no advice on that.
- Last week, I got a call from Antenatal reception to say the consultant had cancelled my June appointment because she would be on call. They tried to book me in a week earlier instead but I explained we had a wedding to go to (where my husband was a groomsman), so it would be impossible to attend. They said Ok & they would call back to rearrange....but I didn't hear back
- It turns out, despite me declining the appointment - they kept it & called me persistently on the day whilst I was at the wedding!!!! I couldn't answer as it was during the ceremony & I couldn't call back as it came from a private number (I found out today, it was indeed them trying to contact me). I received a call this morning, from a midwife (I've not spoken to before), saying "you didn't show to your appointment last week...." I was in shock! I explained I had declined it when it was offered & I've been waiting patiently for them to call back & rearrange - she had no answer for me. "I'm just going off the message I've been given".
- This Midwife continues to tell me that the Consultant was "Happy" for me to not see her until July...ok, but I'M NOT happy for that & I am waiting for the appointment they said they would rearrange for me & clearly don't intend to. Keeping in mind also, on my last appointment almost 4 weeks ago I was taken off to have an impromptu blood test at the hospital to check my thyroid levels as the consultant was concerned...& I've not heard back my results.
- I also explained that I had some other concerns that I had wanted to talk to the consultant about. Such as baby's persistent hiccups 5/6 sometimes 7 times every day without fail. Before I could tell her how frequent they were she cut me off & told me (in a very derogatory manor) that "Hiccups are normal". I wanted to also explain that I've had some unusual discharge (spots of light pink blood on my liner) & I've been losing weight (now lighter than I was before I was pregnant...I'm 31weeks) but she seemed so disinterested & gave me the impression I was keeping her from her next task. I ended up hanging up because she was upsetting me so much & made me feel stupid. So disappointed. I've now booked to go privately for a well being scan, I shouldn't have had to do that!

I have just come home from A&E due to an allergic reaction - insect bite or stung. The members of staff are great, kind and very professional. The Dr that saw me as well as the nurse were brilliant. I had blood tests and left the hospital with my medicine. Thank you so much to A&E Frimley Hospital.

After breaking my ankle on 8 September I have nothing but praise for the staff in A &E, x-ray and fracture clinic. Follow up appointments were done and dusted within an hour. New cast put on, in and out in 45 mins. We don't realise how lucky we are.

Thank you! Saturday 22 August - Arriving at 06:50am for my first ever procedure I was greeted by two smiling members of staff - one of which was more than happy to show us the way to where I needed to be, (F14). From then on; the cleaner in the waiting room, the porter, the theatre nurses, registrar and anaesthetists, the recovery ward nurse and all the staff on the general ward thereafter - each one was focussed, knowledgeable, empathic and emitted a great deal of positivity to make this a pleasurable experience in the given circumstances. I am sorry I was unable to get everyone's names to thank personally: Dr Meera Joshi, Dr Eoin, Diya Rai, Nurse Amy...just as feedback; there could be a log sheet on patient's notes to record the names of all who serve ... it will at least bring to many people's attention just how many staff are needed for one patient alone from clocking in to discharge. Could not be prouder of the NHS!

Don't get me wrong, when you actually get into the hospital, the staff are great. But getting in is the challenge. I live 10 mins away and I was sat in traffic for 45 mins with a screaming baby in the back.

How many people have missed seeing loved ones or missed the birth of their child or actually died trying to get into that awful car park? How much is the NHS forking out for missed appointments because of that car park? I bet the amount of missed appointments can pay for a better car park. I ended up missing my appointment for the second time even though I left an insane amount of time before my appointment. My two kids were screaming in the back of the car, and I had no choice but to bring them along.

Sort it out. Before there's a big emergency and nobody can get the help they need.

The telephone system is a nightmare does not understand what you are saying, cuts you off and rings forever, patient whereabouts does not answer. When you do get through to someone, one person tells you one thing then another tells you something different. I got told about a patient who wasn't even my father and it was me who questioned it and put them right. What is wrong with the place they need to sharpen up their communication skills.

Whereas I can only have the highest praise for the staff of Frimley Park Hospital, I am incandescent with rage at the ridiculous parking situation. It is and has always has been totally inadequate for the vast numbers who need the services. Today I needed 10 mins to collect a prescription. I spent over 20 mins just driving around just missing spaces because the barrier was just letting more and more cars in. I ended giving up only to be told by the exit barrier I had exceeded parking time and must pay! Eventually a parking attendant answered the call button. I told him of my predicament and said I refused to pay. It took a little while before the barrier was opened.

Investment must be put into extra parking at Frimley. I am seriously thinking about whether my stress levels can take anymore and wonder if my potentially life saving medication is worth the bother and hassle.

This rating is for accident and emergency dept only.
Got there about 20.45 with my partner a very experienced nurse, she accompanied me as I felt bit unwell and had bought up blood indoors, earlier at about 17.00 I had choked on some rice whilst eating .
At reception where the staff looked totally disinterested in everything I explained my problem, first question was have you had alcohol today to which I replied yes so the staff member then replies I'll put it down as alcohol related, I strongly objected to that and told her so.
Waited an hour to see a nurse in a waiting room where you were lucky to get a seat and then back into waiting room where we shared one seat, the place resembled something you would see in some poor country, I had a pregnant woman opposite me in a great deal of pain but no help from anyone.
After another 90 minutes of waiting to see a doctor I fell to my knees and bought up 500 mils of pure blood, my partner went straight to the reception desk where all they could say was he is line to be seen.
My partner (nurse) then complained and was adamant I got seen straight away and thanks to her I was taken through.
Stay with me because this is where it gets interesting, I get my sats taken and different people come along to view the bowl of blood I bought up in the waiting room, a senior doctor then reassures me although it looks scarey it's normal from a tear and I can be discharged and then he's off.
My partner then starts to say she doesn't think that is the right decision in a conversation with the younger doctor and asks for a X Ray , they don't want to give me one as doctor says my signs are fine and no temputure but my own super nurse who thank god is highly trained and experienced keeps pushing and explains her views calmly and eventually the young doctor sends me for a X Ray .
I walk to X Ray with a young porter, nice polite caring guy who sits me outside and tells the technician I'm there, he comes back later and asks why I haven't been called in and goes in to remind the X Ray man I'm still outside and by this time I notice my body temperature rising and feel unwell.
I go in and have an X Ray and then he says I can go back, with that I fall down and lose over 3000 mils of more blood, you can imagine the mess, he is bringing me my third bowl as already filled two plus what's on the floor, doesn't call for help but instead grabs a clear large bag and starts cleaning up.
I stop losing blood and he at lasts gets on the phone, no emergency call for a doctor just a request for a cleaner and porter, I manage to ask him to call the doctor and tell her what happened and then porter arrives and rushes me back to cubicle, five mins later Doctor comes in to tell me they are discharging me, I am laying their grey in colour, my partner is now looking really worried and I think I'm in twilight zone.
I tell this doctor, you want to send me home after what just happened and she replies what has happened, I have to laugh as the X Ray guy has not even told anyone , once I explain hey presto not going home.
Finally get a bed at 07.00 And thank god put in the hands of great nurses and doctors, twice I could have died that night, if my partner hadn't insisted on casualty I would have choked to death in my sleep and if she had not questioned their decision to discharge me I would have gone home and died in sleep.
By the way once I was on the ward, it was great but I'll mark that elsewhere.

From the moment the paramedics arrived with me, the seamless transfer to A and E was over and above expectations. There were no delays affecting my treatment, and without exception the doctors, nurses, radiographers, volunteers and support staff who I met were brilliant. They made me comfortable, physically and emotionally. The treatment cubicles were an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness and decor. The staff also ensured my family were well looked after. Very well done Frimley! The A and E was very busy, but this did not affect care and friendliness.

After waiting for 2 hours in A&E, I asked how much longer and was told I'd been called 3 times. As with most receptionists, saying they're wrong was most frowned upon and I had to start the process of waiting again. Absolute shambles.

I have tried on four occasions over the past 2 days to change an ultrasound appointment I had at Frimley Park Hospital but alas no joy. The first call I waited 45 mins and was then cut off when I was 7th in the queue to be dealt with. The second time was straight after when I realised what had happened and redialed, another 26 min wait and cut of again at number 4 in the queue. The third time I got down to number 2, after 36.2 sec wait, whoo hoo only to be cut off again. I just wanted to reschedule an appointment, is it so hard. On the fourth time I get through after 1 hour and 05 sec to a real female person who asks for a hospital number, I tell her I don't have one and tried to give her my date of birth and GP details but as I am talking to her and trying to explain my situation, I get cut off again. I am fed up, these calls will cost me money and all I wanted to so was to cancel an ultrasound appointment and make another one but no, that's to easy. I thought by cancelling this appointment, another person who needed it could take it, but its probably cost me a fortune in phone calls and I can now see why people don't bother cancelling appointments which probably costs the NHS and Tax - Payers like me a lot of money. All in all a really bad experience

Depending on the department ranging from good to excellent. Waiting times can be terrible though and even though parking has been extended recently it is very expensive and still overcrowded at times. Apart from the expected your will find a restaurant, bookstore and a sandwich bar in the main hall.

I am invited for an outpatient appointment. On the letter it is written which department I am invited for, it says outpatient dept one which is crossed and next to it I can see phone clinic.

This is very misleading as the futher notice says that I should attend clinic 5 minutes before, I have to wear a mask and some other advises. It says as well that I will see a member of the team.
So. I visited the hospital, I took an unpaid day off, I travelled for more than an hour just to be told by the receptionist that someone is going to call me.
This is ridiculous. I understand we are during the pandemic, but let's respect each other.
You should send more specific information about the appointment.
Anyway this is dermatology appointment, the doctor should see my skin - she can't do it over the phone. This is clearly neglect.

Although support staff is fantastic, one of the contractor consultant in ophthalmology was very rude and would not explain or discuss your own medical situation. And he would shut you up if you had any questions. He thought of himself as a God or something. Waiting time for around 45 minutes in Ophthalmology department.

Although GP referred our patient to Frimley park it took an hour to be seen in A & E. After arriving at 8pm it was around midnight before we were finished. Saying that the staff were friendly and helpful and the waiting area was pleasant with a TV for some entertainment

Frimley hospital is very lovely, it has the private health ward around the back (Parkside) this is where I stayed when I had my day surgery. All the nurses and staff members were lovely very assuring and attentive, they talked me through everything that was going to happen and I had my own little room with shower and toilet, I had to stay the night as I took a turn for the worst after the anesthesia but the nurses came in every couple of hours to check on me and take my blood pressure. Was very impressed with how I was taken care of.
The only downside is that it does take a long time to get into the car park, you need to allow queuing time to get into the hospital.

Great hospital that has great disease control scores and its staff care deeply for the patients. I've never had a bad experience here in my many visits. The only issue is the size of the car park, it reguarly becomes full and traffic as a result can be bad.

Sadly can't rate 0 stars. Arrived at 23:30 for emergency and 4 hours after still nothing, twice been asked from different nurses what is wrong when I have reported what is the issue and I've explained that is emergency on the reception.Do they struggle to pass the information or what?! After 2 nurses still had to wait for another as they have not done anything but asking. Their system is more than poor someone can die infront of them and they will not do anything. This is not what people call ED !!!

Could not come here in the end to have injections for shoulder impingement. The letter they sent me had an email for complaints so tried it and it bounced right back does not accept. Bothers me when they don't allow you to complain and the research about those injections is not at all good.

Recently had to attend fracture clinic with my son (10am Tursday). Staff were friendly and helpful and despite having to have an x-ray done there was minimal waiting around. Slight queue to get into the car park but found a space quickly.

Frimley Park Hospital is a large, 750-bed NHS hospital (with helipad) in Frimley, Surrey, UK.

Interesting place to visit. Take a lot of photographs because you are going to have a marvellous experience

An all round fantastic hospital for all ages.
Just unfortunate Blue Badge Holders are now charged an extortionate amount to park!

Disabled people don t get much money to live on and this left me very short for almost a month.

But, the staff from consultants, doctors, nurses and all staff members are absolutely fantastic and make time for any questions.
Very highly recommend this Hospital.

An outstanding centre of health & patient care. As a local taxi company we regularly work out of here and cannot thank the Frimley Park Hospital management & staff enough for the hard work they put in.

I had to take may old relative who accidently chopped his hands to this hospital. It started bleeding so we gave him first aid and took him to the hospital's emergency.

The hospital looked magnificent as all other hospitals. The emergency unit had more than 100 people in queue. We told them our situation and answered few questions and we were in the system. The work was to wait. Non of the people looked really in emergency state including us. As the old man had hidden his hand in his jacket pocket. All were talking, playing their mobiles, doing their work on their laptops and dozing as well.

During our wait time they served dirnks of our choice (of course tea or coffee) twice which keeps us afresh while waiting. Finally exactly after 5 hours, our turn came and the old man got his stitches. The work was real good. We both were happy even though the wait was real long.

I don't know how but my suggestion would be can we reduce the no of patients in emergency as all feel their pain is real and second can we get prompt service.

While 2 stars seems like a bad review, I should stress first and foremost that the nurses and doctors at this hospital are fantastic. I really have no fault and I got care above and beyond what I expected along with a very passionate professional.

The 2 star review unfortunately is due to the poor way the NHS is run. It really ia a shambles and makes one wonder whether privatising the NHS will actually be a good thing.

The wait times are atrocious. Again this is not a complaint against the staff who are wonderful.

The phone lines are just as bad. Having got worse symptoms since my visit I rang to explain the situation. Instead of speaking to somebody who could help me I was passed between 5+ people with who all said "hold" and passed me through to someone else. Eventually the phone just hung up so now I'm still in pain seeking other ways to get help.

It really is a shame what has happened to the NHS but it's clearly not getting better. Go private. If you get seriously ill you will thank yourself.

A huge thank you to the triage nurse on Wednesday 6th March in children's A&E Rachel Parsons she was so good with my 16yr old who suffers from Panic Disorder and Non epileptic attack disorder. She was so kind and and made sure she had a quiet place to wait without lots of people. The HCP who did her obs was great too as well as the Doctor who saw her. Also a huge thank you to the volunteer lady who came around offering mums and dads a drink, that was such a lovely touch you have as I was gasping for a drink but didn't want to leave my daughter. Thank you NHS you are doing a grand job
