I am in utter shock and horrified but what I witnessed this evening.

I accompanied a member of staff that was hit by a car just after 5pm, he managed to get to the hospital by taxi. He arrived at 7pm after a while he was seen by a nurse for an assessment. By 9pm when I arrived he had still not been seen by a doctor. I went to reception and explained that he was slumped in his seat after being hit by a car, yet people that are smoking outside every 5mins being called in. A gentleman with a migraine got seen before him, a guy with a swollen ankle then got seen. Receptions response was simply "sorreyyyyy" you will have to wait ( clearly prioritising and initiative comes into play).

At 11:59pm Francisco got called in by a doctor after I again enquired (the triage said they lost his paperwork, but was arrogantly adamant she had done her part, while poor Francisco was in and out of conscious! While Francisco was being tended to a doctor came out and asked for "Francisco" the triage paperwork had clearly been found 5hrs later.

After waiting patiently for 5 hours it felt that we were been done a real favour by being seen.

Laughing and jovial behind the reception desk having a bit of banter and a snack, but not really aware what's going on on the "shop floor" I get busy but I dont get cant be asked and incompetent.

I literally saw people walking out not being seen, just frustrated and left.

All I done was observe and try and support an employee, but could not believe my eyes.

I will fully support taking this matter forward in more detail and with more facts.

It wasnt even that busy, at almost 1am now and people are still not really being seen at a reasonable pace

3am and guess what we still here, desk staff seem confrontational/defensive each time someone enquires about waiting time or information.

I've tried every which way to change an appointment for 'audio re-tube". My phone call answered by a recorded message giving me several options to choose. Non of which were relevant, so I chose "all other appointments".I was then put through to an Indian call centre, where I was directed back to Frimley Park Hospital and the whole process was repeated. What a wast of my time!

First i d like to say I suffer from anxiety. When I walked into that waiting room my heart was going a mile a minute. The woman at the counter was lovely, took in stride my distress and helped me through it. I then took a seat and couldn t have been waiting more then ten minutes.

The next nurse I saw sat me in a room, took my obs and, laughing and smiling, asked me what had happened. She had a real cheery manner.

Now I m not going to say what was wrong with me, but I said something and, after we had chatted, she told me she wanted bloods taken because of something I had said 5 minutes before, that s attention to your patients right there.

I went to a bed and someone came to take my bloods, first time, very professional, and they said sometimes there can be a wait for bloods, but here s a menu, do you want something to eat, or can we get you a drink ?

A friend of mine tuned up, and someone took the time to show her to my room.

When I was given the clear to leave, I got dressed, made the bed I had been laying in, and, walking out of the ward, popped my head into a little room with 5 staff in.

Thank you so much for the help guys, it s meant the world .

And do you know what, they were speechless. Like they d seen a ghost. And I realised they probably don t get that a lot.

Out NHS is under an incredible amount of pressure. Wait times are going up. People are dying older and the funding isn t going up.

But the people that helped me today gives me hope, because I know, deep down, they re there to help people and nothing more.

So keep it up you hero s, keeping helping people.

Just like you helped me,

Forever thankful,

Alex Twinn

Frimley Park has gone down hill so much in the last 5 years. Referring to either treatment/time for treatment given/cleanliness/parking.

Car parking charges are horrendous, and not many spaces at all. My husband arrive at the hospital at 10.45 for a 11.30 appointment. He finally managed to get into the car park at 11.35 and found a space at 11.50.

Really hoping it picks back up. Use to be such a good hospital.

Went for a blood test today. The signage was super clear to get there. There were staff on the front door giving out hand sanitizer. When I got to the blood test location, I was seen exactly at my appoint time. The nurses were quick, polite, friendly and really efficient. I was in and out in like 10-15 mins!

came in with my friend who was incredibly ill, a&e was incredibly disorganised and he wasn t seen until he collapsed and had to be rushed in after 2 hours of waiting, in the hospital the nurses were asked to help him a few times and it took them at least 45 mins for them to do what we had asked, and he hasn t been allowed to shower and he has been here for two days.

Frimley Park Hospital has been like a second home to me over the years. My children were born there, my family have had many traumas here. My Grandfather died there, and so on. What I can say though after years of waiting here, having operations, appointments, talking to staff, knowing staff personally and being a patient several times. It's definitely on the decline. The A and E department is very slow, dated, cramped, poorly organised and with terrible communication. The ED minors department is simply terrible. Waiting 4-6 hours before your seen by the first person and give a paracetamol is not uncommon in fact it's every time I've been lately. It's a shame but the place really is in need of a shake up!

I was suffering from Chronic cough, high temperature, vomiting, diarrhoea, no food intake for 5 days and unable to stand or sit for long due to extreme weakness.
After reaching A&E I was made to wait for 4.5 hrs in a place with limited seating. When asked how much longer I had to wait, the receptionist responded that it might take another 2 hours at least. Which sums up to 6.5 hrs of wait to be called in.
How can emergency departments work like this?
I had to leave the building aftr a wait for 4.5 hrs as I was feeling that I might pass out any time and invite more complications.
The hospital should do suitable arrangements so that the inpatients are not made to wait for hours and hours long.

Excellent care by the staff and docs. Took my wife there fearing pregnancy complications. She was taken in immediately and all checks were done in record time. Nurses and doctors were top class. Only annoying thing is getting to hospitals in emergency. Parking is jam packed Which restricts access to A&E. but this isn t related to the quality of the hospital. Just poor planning having a roundabout on entry to the hospital.

Great hospital! The staff really care. Yes the parking is expensive but a few pounds to not have to walk far into free top notch healthcare is a small price to pay! The a&e and maternity ward were incredibly kind and respectful and they should all be very proud of themselves.

I would give this a five star rating if it were not for the attitude of some of the staff and A and E. Despite being doubled up with pain and telling them I was unable to walk I was told that I had to queue up to be entered on the computer system. When I sad I was in too much pain I was told that I had walked in and so I could prop myself up on a pillar. I had to request that they gave me a chair to sit on which was got reluctantly and even then I was left at the wrong end of the counter. The staff have a serious attitude problem and a siege mentality. I say this as someone who has trained nurses for thirty years and is fully aware of the difficulties in the system. The male nurse who saw me was also rude. Once I had gone through to the doctor I was treated really well, and allowed to lie down at long last.I had to be given morphine and admitted. Disgraceful. The staff in the waiting area need to stop adopting an attitude of victimhood. Many workers have to deal with the public in difficult circumstances and if they cant show compassion they are in the wrong job. My care after that was excellent.

Overall good but some departments are terrible! Why is it that some departments moves heaven and earth to gets things done yet others coast by. The cafe area is really nice and makes nice food. The ward food is beyond disgusting. I had to have an MRI recently and that came through really quickly - as did the results. The following appointment with the MSK department then sat on the appointment for over a month (and still counting!) It makes me wonder if the staff in these poor performing departments would find it acceptable if they experienced the same situation....

Terrible experience of fertility treatment at this hospital through Mr Riddle. Virtually no contact at all, given various misinformation, including eligibility for IVF in Surrey. Utter incompetence. The whole experience has been highly stressful. I even had to have my 6 tubes of blood retested because they labelled them wrong! I appreciate the pandemic has had an impact, but the issues here long pre-dated Coronavirus! Royal Surrey far better in my opinion.

Frimley park hospital is a very good hospital. It has a maternity unit, good cardiology unit, paediatrics, fracture clinic and all the other departments you would expect at a hospital. There is a cafe which is reasonably priced and a coffee bar area as you go in through the main outpatients entrance. You will find a shop, book shop and baguette bar. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. I had to have an endoscopy and the staff were so good at reassuring me that I didn t need to have sedation. I think this is great care from them as they reassured me and spoke to me all through the procedure.

It is now nearly 8 weeks since I had Green Light laser procedure on my prostate and I could not be more pleased. The results are excellent. Flow is greatly improved and UTIs gone. From the moment I registered to the moment I left I felt that i was treated with great professionalism and respect. From the surgical team led by Mr Emara to the nursing team I could have not wished for better. It is true that I was lucky enough to have been " upgraded" to the Parkside Suite which may have improved my stay.
So thanks to all at Frimley. Why cant all hospitals be like this?

I am really happy to be back home and in my own place able to do things like watching crappie nonsense programmes, but I am also going to say that I had a genuinely good stay in Frimley Park.
Everyone there is dedicated to helping those of us who need help, from the kind orderlies to the nursing staff and the physio team.

Regardless of race, points of origin or whatever, the staff are kind, friendly and comforting while maintaining a professional balance at all times. I needed to have some pretty big surgery done on my ankle, the pre op kindness was wonderful, post surgery I asked the recovery unit to phone my mum and son to let them know I was okay and they did without any arguments. When I got back onto F6 (the ward I was booked in on) I was left to come round in my own time, obs were done with respect and gentleness. I cannot and will not fault the staff at all.

Walk a mile in their shoes and do their job for a month, then see how well YOU do.

Disgraceful, I really think the NHS needs to be so...

Disgraceful, I really think the NHS needs to be sold privately and then we can pay for the correct care. We have had 3 visits over 3 years. Every one we have not been attended to, seen in correct time or helped in any way. Even our little 1 year old being rushed there in an ambulance did not get to see a pedestrian in 6 hours. You are better off if you are sick getting on a plane and flying to a 3rd world country where you can pay for proper healthcare. It's an absolute joke, my wife will have a disfigured toe for ever as arriving there with a broken toe we have no chance of even getting a seat after 3 hours. Staff are incompetent and they should be ashamed of what it has become. What it has become cannot be due to lack of funding its been driven from the staff and processes put in place.

I cannot send enough praise. I had my son at Frimley last month. They could not have made the experience better. I received such a high level of care -as did my son. They reassured me through each step of my c-section and after care. From the midwifes to the anaesthetist the whole team made me feel as relaxed and confident as possible. Thank you so much

I am a diabetic and was treated without due care in the Cardiac Labs department. I was kept without food for over 24 hours while waiting for a simple procedure which would only take 20 minutes.
As a result I discharged myself and dashed to a coffee machine before I collapsed into the taxi.

I understand that emergencies have to be dealt with and beds from other wards take priority over certain procedures . Surely this is not the way to keep patients with a life threatening condition waiting without food.

Utterly disgusted with the due care and have complained to PALS and the Quality of Care Council.
