Love coming here to enjoy the flowers and sculptures. Dont forget to see the waterfalls and the Koi pond.

Many paths to happiness and peace here. You could be there for hours and not see everything. The sculptures around the gardens are amazing. Walking up to the main entrance there was construction that was forgotten about as soon as we walked into the greenhouses, it faded from the mind as the flora and fauna take over your senses.
Always a great place to visit. Butterflies we're cool to see.
Have been here multiple times throughout the year. Never dissapointed!
Excellent you can see the Japanese gardens and the sculptures ... art and landscape.
Very beautiful. Lovely walk around. Just make sure to wear walking shoes
Nice place. Very pretty. You breathe oxygen and it gives a lot of tranquility and peace.
this is a great place to get your kids out to learn about and enjoy nature at its finest. There is a great area in the gardens for kids to play and explore. You can also find nice quiet places for those moments where you'd like to get away and relax. There are some memorials that might create some powerful emotions and memories.
I look forward to seeing the new visions they continue to bring to the gardens...the new welcome area looks to be beautiful!
3 children and 3 adults. Great place to visit with children.
Great place to take the family. Kids area is huge and has lots of family friendly activities. Be sure to bring comfortable shoes because it is huge!
Fantastic place to spend a warm or cold day. Lots for the kids to do and plenty to interest adults. Loved it. Will totally come back.
This is a first-class place. One of my favorites is the butterfly exhibit earlier in the year. The Tropical Conservatory is nice any time of year. If you have kids, try the Children's Garden. There are so many things for them to do. The Japanese Garden is great new addition. And I love the concerts in the summer. Big name acts come in, with a special Tuesday series with regional acts. There's plenty more so explore!
Great variety of gardens. Sculptures are pretty spread out.
This is one of those places you can get lost in.
My first time visiting was about 12 years ago while I was a student in college. I quickly became enamored with the sculptures and twisting paths. I spent the whole day there, and still didn't see everything.
I have visited multiple times since.
One of the best times I took my kid cousins. They spent hours running around the children's garden. They were so amazed by the giant horse, and the butterflies... they were engaged, happy and active. It was an amazing day with two of my favorite little humans at a place full of adventure and new discoveries.
Go as an adult. Go again with the kids.
There is so much to appreciate and enjoy here.
Great stop in Grand rapids loved the Japanese garden
An underrated jewel in Michigan. Totally worth a day trip from Detroit!
Wonderful public garden. The sculpture tour is a two car trolly ride and staffed by amazingly knowledgeable hosts. There are many sculptures created by world famous artists who s public works you may have already seen. Overall this park has an amazingly active volunteer community.
The Indoor exhibits are lovely and well done displaying a number of different ecosystems. Of particular interest was the antique Victorian terrarium designer to protect tropical plants in everyday homes.
The park is correctly being expanded but we did not find the construction a disturbance.
I would set aside 4-6 hours to really enjoy touring the park. There is so much to see.
The giant bronze horse is a great example.
Gourd Show was Great! Walked the Japanese Garden and it was spectacular! The herb people were so friendly and knowledgeable. The gourd people shared their skills freely. Looking forward to going again.
I love this place. It's a perfect place to visit on a cold day.
Always fun with the family! Great place to bring the kids and plenty of things to see. The butterfly exhibit is awesome!
Relaxing and a great place to reconnect with your family
Beautiful gardens. Looking forward to going back and seeing more. A must see in Michigan for garden lovers.
As a photographer nothing better in Michigan, other then the lake itself. Bring your walking shoes it is miles of scenery with a great back drop of woods, lakes, ponds, floral plants that make the heart stop. Then the art work is on another level. It is better then a museum if the weather is tolerable, because you take the works a different way in nature.
Under a lot of construction but what was open was pretty cool! Great place for the family or a date!
Visited the butterfly exibit this past weekend. It was amazing, a must see.
Always fun place to visit. Lots of changes going on right now. Looking forward to summer music. I would also recommend this place for events.
Staff and volunteers are always so kind & friendly!!! Big fan of the Butterfly Spectacular in the Spring, Summer Concerts, Mum extravaganza in the fall and Christmas Around the World in the Winter. Also is a lovely and large event space/ballroom for weddings & events.
An incredible experience, and definitely one of the coolest places to go in the city, if not the state/region. SO MUCH cool stuff to see/explore!
Was expecting to spend a couple hours and could have stayed the entire day. Beautiful place and the Children's Garden is great!
Very nice facilities beautifully landscaped gardens. Impressive sculptures.
Loved the open space, live plants including trees. Trees and plants inside the butterfly are were labeled. (I never realized Cocoa pods were so large) butterflies were give real fruit sliced in feeding dishes. The special viewing box for emerging butterflies was awesome. I've been to smaller butterfly exhibits, there is no comparison. Lots of construction on outside areas, makes it a little challenging to get to the Japanese gardens.
Wow! What a cool place, I came here with my mom on her Birthday! I will definitely be back.
Bring your student ID to get special rate for the admission ticket.
AMAZING!!! We went there in June while things were just getting started... It was absolutely perfect! A large kid's section was decently entertaining but the rest of the gardens were way better. It was SO clean and maintained and a wonderful family excursion. Will be going back for sure
Very different and pretty amazing, between overall beauty of the gardens and unusual art.
Congested on inside areas but the trails are awesome
Much more than I expected. This is a first- rate gardens and sculpture park. Very reasonable in price considering that you have to spend at least four to five hours to see everything. The entire family enjoyed our visit.
Meijer Gardens is an inspiring place and I enjoyed every second of my time there! I would advise planning an all day excursion if you want to go because the Gardens are expansive and there is a lot to see.
Really beautiful spot. Just make sure you bring your sunscreen.
Beautiful gardens but they need better maps and guides. Lost wedding party for 45 minutes.
It provides an interesting stroll when weather is nice. The bronze horse is enormous and awe-inspiring.
A great place to see nature, sculptures, and much more! I hope everyone one plans to come here. It's beautiful
Sculpture park is always fun to walk around. I especially like the bonsai in the fall.
Way over crowded for the butterfly exhibit. They have to enforce a stricter maximum compacety for viewing by purchasing tickets in advance or something. We could barely enjoy touring the place.
I got the yearly membership there with a guest. Worthy of going everyday. Please do not miss the butterfly show.
This place is amazing, beautiful gardens, awesome children's area and sweet music line up. This is a must visit for anyone in the Grand Rapids area.
Fabulously beautiful and extensive Sculpture Garden, Japanese garden, shade garden, Children's Garden & More. All you can do in a day. Lovely Cafe.
Well maintained beautiful lawn's. And the butterfly exhibit was and experience you won't forget.
Worth visiting once, but is sorely lacking on repeat visits.
Amazing place no matter the season! Even in early spring with snow on the ground, there are lots of plants to see indoors, and there are always the sculpture gardens. A must for anyone in the area.
First visited 20 years ago, place is 100x better. Plan on getting season pass, it's that awesome.
Beautiful butterflies and plants. Can't wait to come.back when it's warmer to see the Japanese garden and spent time with the sculptures. Loved the American horse!
My Wife and I love to go here. There is so much to do and see. Such an amazing place to visit.
Love all the flowers and plants. Very nice for families. Love all the different Christmas tree decorations from all over the world.
Fun time. Very fast mainly butterflies onky thing there.
Underwhelmed, maybe we went to the butterflies at the wrong time, but in essence just underwhelmed. I can't say anything about the outside activities since the weather didn't cooperate when I was there.
