Meijer Gardens is one of my family's favorite places to visit. We have been members now for over 7 years, beginning our membership when my son was around 1 year old. At that age, I loved having beautiful gardens to to wander while pushing him in the stroller. He also had safe and clean paths to crawl around on. Now that I have three kids, their favorites are the Children's Garden and the Farm Garden. We spend multiple days there each season as we enjoy the Butterflies Exhibit, indoor/outdoor gardens, concerts, tram rides, member parties and the Holiday Traditions Exhibit. Meijer Gardens is an enjoyable place for all ages.

When I looked at the shop name 'Meijer', I was wondering. God blessed me to work in Grand Rapids (Ada), and I had a chance to visit this Sculpture Garden. One of my favorite place in the USA

It's a Meijer store. Hate having to walk 200 yards to get in, hate walking 500 yards to shop. They have everything, but it is very inconvenient. I'll give them this, the produce is always fresh.

If you've never been, you've got to go. If you've been in the last 12 months you'll see the same stuff. Butterfly's every year (very cool if you're first in line), concerts every summer (very cool), and other small interesting changes to keep the experience fresh. The new Japanese garden is amazing!

You will love this place. The Japanese Garden is a highlight, as is the trail from the Farm Garden down to the marsh, where you will observe heron, egrets, and, if you keep your eyes peeled, otters.

We took our grand daughters to see the butterfly exhibit. It was awesome. The butterflies were very active and there were so many. We then walked around the grounds and tried to understand what on earth the meaning was for most of the sculptures. There seemed to be plenty of bathrooms around when we needed one as well, which is much appreciated.

I went expecting to see some cool plants and flowers. I had no idea of how much there is to see. I recomend taking the inexpensive tram tour. You will get alot of info and helps you see more when walking arround afterwords. The entire place is very clean and well kept. Enjoyable for most ages.

Came here. Was vary nice but VARY short. Not worth $50 we paid for 2 kids and 2 adults. We all did like what we seen but seen everything and spent time looking at stuff and was still out in a hour. All and all the kids did like it so not to mad.

The Meijer Gardens are a treasure of West Michigan. I have visited botanical gardens and sculpture gardens around the country and internationally, and this local attraction stands up with the best of them. During our cold winter season, the tropical conservatory is wonderful to remember warm weather. The March Butterfly event is a big attraction for children and adults alike. The sculpture park has works by many renowned artists, and is a pleasure to stroll through and enjoy.

What's the point in measuring your chair so seriously if they are going to let people stand up in front of you... Glad I didn't pay for anything... Won't be back... And security was worthless... Eating cookies from the people standing in front of everyone

Fun and interesting for kids and adults. The butterflies and caterpillars are really cool. I especially love seeing all the interesting trees and plants from different climates. There is also a kids play area where they can build stuff and take fun pictures

I wasn't expecting to enjoy this place so much!! I heard statue museum, and muttered sarcastically "oh boy, yippy", but halfway through, the sarcasm dropped, and I really did say "OH BOY, YIPPEE!" with a little enthusiasm. The statues, and exhibits were amazing. I took a few pics of the statues outside because they were really cool, but there were also themed exhibits. The Japanese garden was extremely relaxing & beautiful!

Have lived in West Michigan almost all my life and barely came visit.. it is beautiful. So excited for the renovations coming soon. Its a great place to bring family and friends. From outside it looks small but there is more that plenty of space to walk around. Definitely coming back.

An excellent mix of well done sculptures and natural beauty within the gardens. Some highly manicured flower beds and other naturally growing wetland areas. Definitely a highlight of Grand Rapids

This place is incredible. You can't visit Grand Rapids without spending a day here. Japanese garden is amazing! Kids areas are super fun and educational. I would have an annual pass if I lived closer. We have visited every year for 5 years running and the gardens have something new every time. The cafe is excellent too. Child friendly. Adult friendly.

I have been trying to go to this place for the longest time. I literally drove from Chicago to Grand Rapids to visit these gardens and I will say that it is completely worth it. The gardens are beautiful and there is something for everyone to see. However I planned in advance and mapped out every piece of art I wanted to see and I am glad that I did since the map they give isn't very detailed and only tells you the artist name, not the work of art and doesn't include photos. Which was unfortunate for several people since they were wandering around looking for certain pieces. Definitely worth the drive to Grand Rapids and worth going but try to plan in advance so you aren't wandering around.

Always love coming here. I'm a member and they have great totaling are galleries, they have butterflies every year in the gardens, great outdoor summer concerts and the Japanese garden is great. Love coming here to read, go for a walk, and always end up learning something. The gardens are also a great warm, humid escape from the cold winter.

I've been to Meijer gardens multiple times. It's a delight each time! Right now they have their "Christmas Around the World" exhibit. It's worth the trip just to see famous Grand Rapids buildings constructed as miniature displays. The displays are made entirely out of natural materials (leaves, twigs, etc.). The admission is reasonable but the member pass is the way to go. We plan on walking the park's trails in the spring & summer now that we have a membership.

Taking one star off because there was a very rude "volunteer" who accussed me of touching the plants and was NOT nice, in fact quite aggressive. But overall a lovely place to visit. Train your volunteers better!!

A lot more for kids to do than I had expected of a "garden". We had fun in a tree house, log cabin, fossil excavation, wetland look out, an interactive replica of the Great Lakes, and a hedge maze. Easy to spend a day if the kiddos are willing to take in the greenhouses and sculptures.

The prices are a bit steep, and the museum about Beverly Pepper was extremely boring. I hate to be shallow but it was one of the least interesting exhibits I've seen in the area. But let's put that behind us. The butterfly area is absolutely gorgeous, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. There was an injured butterfly surrounded by nervous children, and a staff member gently moved the butterfly off the path to the children's delight. The floral arrangements are beautiful and birds are cute and note too afraid of people. Great place to visit a few times a year in the cold late winters.
