The gardens are absolutely stunning!!! They are truly one of nature's miracles, and you cant help but blow up your phones storage with hundreds of pictures! The bus tour takes about 45 minutes and shows you a lot of sculptures and drives past the gardens, so if you are all for the sculptures, go on the bus tour, if youre more for the gardens, you should walk around. They are truly creative, full of color and beauty and definitely worth your time!!

The BEST botanical garden I have ever been to. Impossible to explore completely in one visit. I will be back again and again. So beautiful, serene and informative. They have truly created a world wonder here!

Happened to visit here during last days of fall and it was very cold outside to enjoy the beauty of the park to the fullest. There are lot of sculptures in and around. Indoor was beautifully decorated with lot of Christmas trees of each country. The volunteers was really sweet and kind. Would definitely revisit during summer.

Amazing! I can't believe we waited this long to visit. Beautiful scenery, gorgeous flowers, fantastic and interesting sculptures. We took the tram tour first and were glad that we did. It gave us an overlook of the entire park and ideas of what we wanted to see first. We will be going back again to see what it looks like during the different seasons.

Meijer Gardens is such a lovely place. All year round when you visit your senses are just served such beauty and wonder you don't know what to do. Sigh or say ohhh or ahhh or just say wonderful or God surely has blessed this place and these artists from groundskeeper to the artists involved inside of paintings and sculptures. I thank my friend for always taking me in as her guest.

Always love a visit to the gardens! My two year old loves all of the plants and birds, but especially the butterflies. It's never wasted time. Can't wait to visit the children's garden this summer!

This is truly a magnificent gem of the Grand Rapids area. One of most beautiful and relaxing places in town. The Japanese Style Garden alone is worth the price of a visit or of a membership

Visiting family up in Michigan- i was looking for things to do in the general area of grand rapids/lansing. Found this cool place in google- was worth every penny. I would come back to this place when i visit again.

Loved the Gardens, sadly when I visited I couldn't enjoy the entire garden, but the interior was phenomenal! The indoor restaurant was somewhat pricy, but with their 'local first' policy, it was a welcomed treat! Would definitely recommend going during the Spring though Fall seasons.

Had a great time with the butterflies, the statue were beautiful, some strange looking but interesting. Went at the end of April so we didn't see much of the Japanese gardens. Prices not to bad.

I have lived in the Grand Rapids area for many years. The only time I had been there was to see the famous Butterflies Exhibit in a indoor tropical enclosure. The other time I was there was to see the Christmas trees decorated in that Country's traditional ornaments. On that particular day I also saw the VERY large bronze horse! But to go beyond these indoor activities was as far as I had ever visited. What a place I discovered outside those walls!!!! What I found with a friend was a beautiful, serene, well manicured gardens that span many acres deep. The outside of The Gardens is for those who LOVE nature and can appreciate it for all it has to offer! It is quiet and very tranquil. You can ask for a wand that will give you a guided tour of the areas and what to look for. There is a Children's area with two water features and a splash pad. There are trams that will take you around for those that cannot walk. All of the areas are suitable for a wheelchair, as I was in one the places we went. wheelchairs are free for adventuring people who want to see The Gardens at their own pace. As we were leaving, we heard a band warming up for a concert that night in the outdoor Ampitheatre! It was the B52s! All summer there are shows you can see and vary in price. That day for the B52s was $91 a ticket. You can also buy a year pass for $120 for a family. The pass is good for unlimited entries, communications, and VIP treatments in many ways. The Gardens also host weddings and receptions . Back to the Gardens for a minute... The trails to each Garden have benches all along the way and water fountains along the way too. It's a wonderful place! I hope you venture outside and see what Frederick Meijer Gardens is really about!

What a great place! We drove the 2 hours from Detroit to spend the day here on a Tuesday when they have extended hours, and it was well worth the trip. Much more fun than I expected with several indoor and outdoor gardens, and sculptures abound! We were here for 4 to 5 hours, and we were walking the entire time, so bring your most comfortable walking shoes as this place is very large! We were able to see everything we wanted to see in that time frame. The cafeteria was not great, but good enough that we did not need to leave the grounds for lunch.

Portions that were a "must" from my perspective: walk the perimeter of the Japanese Garden, walk through the entire sculpture park section, don't miss the indoor gardens (arid, carnivorous and seasonal plant houses), the bigger-than-life bronze horse statue by Nina Akamu in the Piazza. I hesitated to visit the Farm Garden, and it turned out to be less than exciting, until we saw the Frey Boardwalk that wanders quietly through the wetlands, and the Woodland Shade Garden. Both walks were so relaxing, quiet and shaded.

I can't believe it took us this long to visit this place, and it is a great activity to bring friends and family when they visit from other states. Our visit was in late June, and we were not bothered by any bugs. We'll definitely return.
