This place is wonderful. The butterfly exhibit is amazing. Soooo many butterflies. Tons of sculptures. Kids play area outdoors. A handful of waterfalls. There's a few gardens and nature trails. A tram station. Giant beautiful pond. Restrooms in many areas. Handicap accommodation. Parking lot is huge. Different types of memberships.
A fun date afternoon! So much to see and they do a Great job changing things up to make this a fun place year round.
A really wonderful place for all ages. It s a very big park so plan accordingly, bring water and a snack! The grounds are superbly designed and taken care of, and the greenhouse is one of the best. Price of admission truly doesn t match the value of the experience.
Very nice garden park. Avoid weekends and holidays if you can. Great place for kids as long as they enjoy long walks.
Goldenrod gardens - I would like to give it 5 stars but 3/4 of the place is filled with unchecked goldenrod. Set off my allergies for days. Do not go here if you have pollen allergies, they do not care.
There are frequently updated exhibits. A great refuge from Winter and wonderful outdoor spaces in the Summer. I only wish I lived closer!
We've been twice now. It's fun for the whole family. The employees know a lot of information if you are curious about anything. Being spring break it was very busy and crowded. Don't forget to take snacks and water, the cafe prices are a bit expensive.

A place of true beauty and peace. The Children's Garden is so charming and delightful for all ages. Don't miss the American Horse. It is quite incredible. The Japanese Garden is a serene and beautifully crafted environment.
Great concert venue for outdoor music . Top acts in a smaller sized amphitheatre . Free parking . Concerts are summer but Gardens are open year round . Great Japanese garden .

Loved our time in the Frederik Meijer Gardens. The tram rides was surely a highlight and my favorite sculpture is the "horse". Wonderful, warm staff, great gift shop and the restaurant was fantastic. All around great experience and highly recommend.
Many fabulous things to see that you would have to travel the world to experence on your own.

I love flowers, and this was paradise. The Children's garden was on-hands for the five senses. Wish I had more time to spend at this place. The garden is sprinkled with priceless sculptures.
Frederik Meijer Gardens was a great experience. It's a great place for all ages! The sculptures were unique and very modern. I loved everything about this place!

It's a beautiful area and a decent price to get in (about 15$ for an adult) They close at 5pm everyday except for Tuesday's they close at 9 I believe. There is a ton of walking, beautiful scenery, and benches! Plus some cool indoor feature rooms, like a cactus room, a carnivorous plant room, and etc. I recommend it on a nice day.

Gardens are pretty. Plenty of waterfalls.The American Horse Sculpture is the best one. Don't know about the others. Clean, well-kept even while under construction.

Wow. I am lost for words at how amazing this place was. I travel a lot and this is by far the most beaitudil place ive ever seen. It was such a fun day. And theres so much to do. Not only that but everything is wheelchair acsesseable. I'm forsure coming back another day. Probably going to bring my daughter next time. I wasnt sure how much she would like it but Ithink its suitable for young children. The Boardwalk and so many animals on the way. The Japanese Gardens were breathtaking. And the waterfall had such a large variety of koi. Plus little baby koi everywhere!

One of the greatest treasures Michigan has to offer. You feel like you stepped into a whole new world when you come to the gardens. Love this place. Cannot wait to see it again after the 150 plus million dollar facelift.
An absolutely beautiful park. Breathtaking nature from around the world scattered with inflective artwork from human hands and minds. Check out the bonsai garden if you can.

Ate lunch in the cafe' and went to the Dahlia show. Breathtaking as it was last year! I joined the Dahlia Society, looking forward to my membership. Ran into lots of friends too.

The construction made parking a bit of a challenge, and with being spring break and Butterflies Are Blooming it wasn't too awful, make sure you have a stroller for little ones, and a wheel chair for the elderly or frail. Of course it it's too early for the beautiful gardens, but the butterflies and sculpture and children gardens are well worth the trip and price.
A great place to take the family. During the holidays you can go and see the different Christmas trees from all over the world. You can go outside and see the other things in the park, but it is cold during the holidays. I went during the summer as well and some of the gardens and sculptures are really interesting. I did enjoy both of my visits.
Stopped here during our last day in Grand Rapids and so glad we did! Make sure to leave yourself enough time here, we had to leave without even getting to see the sculptures! Also after you walk around the enormous gardens make sure to grab a bite at the cafe inside, food is delicious and reasonably priced.
The various butterflies were beautiful! We had a lot of fun watching the butterflies fly with our granddaughter as well as participating with her in the inside children's hands on activities.
Very unique experience, must visit and explore every part! Plan whole day being over there!!

So so nice here! I enjoyed he exhibits both inside and outside. We went around Christmas and it was so beautiful! We will be coming back to explore more when it's nicer out!

We go back every year! Can't get enough of this place! Great for families! So much to see we almost never make it through in one day.
The day was rainy and colder, but I was there as a field trip chaperone. The kids made the best of it. Not a ton to do in the rain.
This place was amazing. We were in the area and had a free morning. We intended to go for an hour, stayed over 4 and still didn't get to see it all. We will definitely come back the next time we are in the area. It was just beautiful and there was so much to see.
The sculptures are amazing and the landscaping was just beautiful. The variety of plant life felt endless.
I also want to say, we met a volunteer there that was tremendously knowledgeable and friendly and full of information and suggestions and one of the most helpful people I've EVER met. He made the whole complex feel warm and inviting and encouraged us to explore. He was awesome. As were all the volunteers we met there.
They have something for all ages and interests.
Highly recommend this place.

The Butterfly exhibit was a pleasant, one of a kind experience!
Beautiful place to visit.... But it is currently under construction so the walk to the entrance is far. So those with issues walking long distance should consider waiting until construction is complete.
There's always something new to see when you come here, and there's activities for the whole family!
