Is it possible to give a location six stars? Absolutely blown away by the conservatory. The Japanese garden was definitely the highlight for me.

An impressive collection of sculptures and indoor exhibits that routinely change. If you re in the area and have a few hours to spare, check out FMG. You ll leave rested and inspired.
I am a Coloradoan and I have been here more times than I can remember, it stays the same yet it's always changing with new exhibits and seasons. My all time favorite was the Dale Chihuly exhibit around the park. Keep up the amazing work!!
Frederik Meijer Gardens is a wonderful place to spend a day. They keep a meticulous watch on the quality of the buildings and grounds, so even after the many years it has been open, it shows no signs of disrepair. There are areas to walk for people looking at the plant life to art work to children play areas.
As of the tail end of 2018, there is a massive construction project going on, but aside from that, there's nothing to spoil one's time here. The newer Japanese garden area has had time to grow-in, so it looks far more natural than its first few months of operation. The Christmas displays up now are spectacular, but beyond that, there are rotating art and music events that keep regular visits fresh. It's definitely a must stop location for travelers and locals alike.
Exceptional place to walk and enjoy the gardens. Cool art piece/photo out of legos.
My grandparents owned the farm that Meijer Gardens are on. I'm 67 and back in the 50's I spent many weeks in the summers there. Those wonderful memories and the great job that Fred and Lena did at the Gardens make those acres very special to me. When I walk them my mind sees things that others can't.
It's as close to spiritual as I can get. Thank You!
The day was beautiful - sunny but not too hot. We enjoyed the bonsai tree exhibit, walking around the Japanese garden, and the koi fish pond.
Such a beautiful place that anyone can enjoy. There's several great places for kids to run around and play. Walking around to all the different areas provides a great exercise while enjoying spectacular art displays
What a beautiful place. We loved walking through the gardens even when it was snowing. It's very calming and peaceful. Inside we enjoyed the international Christmas trees decorated according to many countries cultures. Also the green house with the train and natural models of local iconic buildings was amazing. Such a great place to take your time and soak it all in.
We went once last year and ended up getting a membership. Our daughter loves the whole place but especially the children's garden. Even in the winter it's a good way to get the kids out of the house for a couple hours.
It was ok. Went for a field trip with my daughter. I didn't like it but she enjoyed it.
Beautiful gardens and a great way to spend a few hours.
Large facility with lots to see for kids and adults alike.
One of the best concert venues in the state. The staff is always friendly and very helpful.
Beautiful place. Frederick Meijer was a special guy to contribute so much.
A great place to spend the day exploring with family.
It was really cool seeing all the sculptures and just generally having fun
This is a beautiful place to visit the butterflies exhibit is very fun for kids and adults plus the Sculpture Park is very beautiful great place to take family
Worth the price. Very nice. Inside and outside venues. Plants of all sorts. Art work.
Lovely place but lunch selections were lackluster. My salad had a faint white dressing, not sure. Companion's borscht did not appear to have beets! We decided to have lunch elsewhere when visiting the garden.
We decided on a perfectly crummy January day to head to FMG to get out of the house for awhile. After paying FULL PRICE for the 3 of us, we discovered the ONLY thing to see was the Tropical Conservatory. Ouch. Suggestions are to put on their website that there is NOTHING to see at this time of year, and/or, have admission at half-price. Extremely disappointed today. Several of the volunteers said "....yeah, there is nothing going on at this time of year...." One of them said "....the floors will be polished soon..." Ummm, okay. We were there approximately 1 hr - if that. Note to self: DO NOT GO TO FMG IN JANUARY. What a waste of money!!!!
Not as big as I imagined so it's not overwhelming, you can do everything in one day. My favorite part were the inside tropical and desert areas. Lots of cool sculptures. Take the tram tour for a good overview of the whole property. They have a nice cafatieria so it's easy to make a day of it. Good place for kids, they have their own garden area.
What an amazing place! So much to do, fun for every age. We will definitely be back!
Gorgeous, I couldn't have had a better time. The volunteers are so kind and helpful and even the other visitors were gracious. It has several different indoor gardens, and it's a great respite from the winter blues.
The massive construction project continues. Hard to visualize what it will be.
So nice and if you havent been to the outside gardens go back when the weather is nice. Lucky for us we had a 50 degree day in January. Thank you climate change.
Very pricey in my opinion... But we received a membership for Christmas. Is nice to have somewhere to go when it's so cold out though... Excited to go once the weather warms up to enjoy all the outdoor activities.
A gem of a place. Perfect for taking your family, spouse or even a date! So much to see!
I love any visit to the Gardens! I also quite enjoy the summer concert series.
Beautiful adventure its was a wonderful experience.
We had a fancy dinner and free run of the place with work. It was really nice. The staff was top notch. The indoor gardens were interesting and well designed. I look forward to returning in the Spring to see the rest of the gardens.
One of my absolute favorite places to visit with my family and friends. So much art and beauty to take it. Amazing concert venue as well. Can't recommend enough
The fall displays were awesome and spanned the grounds.
This place is amazing, you'll want to spend the day!
Even beautiful in the dead of winter. The Christmas trees from around the world exhibit was delightful.
This place is a beautiful, peaceful adventure. The gardens are well maintained, the sculptures are beautiful and the staff are so friendly. I love to go regularly!!
I went there for my brother's wedding reception. The food was great and all of the staff were extremely helpful throughout the night. It was really cool to experience going in all of the green houses at night to see everything lit up for Christmas. I would definitely recommend hosting a wedding reception at Meijer Gardens. Since you rent the establishment for the night, you can experience the green houses without a lot of other people. This allows you to spend as long as you want checking displays and plants out. Seeing all of the different Christmas trees and reading about customs from around the world is very interesting and entertaining as well.
Nice place to visit. Weather was not right for the outside walk. Beautiful inside for sure.
This place makes you feel euphoric. Incredibly beautiful and well maintained. A place to spend time at for any age.
One of the most beautiful places, was not expecting the sculptures, but they were magnificent. Volunteers were more than helpful and friendly.
Great place to spend some quality family time. Neat to see the variety of flowers!
I love going to see the trees decorated for the holidays and I always have to go see the horse! The rotating art exhibits are fun to see too.
One of the most beautiful gardens you'll find in the Midwest. Sculptures, Japanese gardens and awesome grounds that will keep you busy enjoying the outdoors. Fantastic, I'd give it 6 stars if I could. Take the 45 minute tram for an overview of the grounds wonderfully narrated for only $4. Well worth it.
Amazing, plan 3 hours or more to fully explore and enjoy
Great outdoor intmate venue with good sound and not a bad seat in the house.
Used to be a great place to see beautiful flowers and interesting sculpture. Now it's less a garden than a concert venue.
Loved loved loved the butterflies in the tropical garden! We plan on going back this summer to see the Japanese and other outdoor gardens. FMG is huge, so I recommend multiple trips. You could do it all in one day, but you will be exhausted.
If you have small children, you can take advantage of the outdoor playground.
Beautiful attraction, and a great way to spend the day. To see everything would take at least two days.
Absolutely one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. I love the summer concert series.
Beautiful place, so many different options for enjoyment. The children's garden is a great place to take kids in the summer and the new Japanese garden is a must see.
Fun place with friends. There options in the winter could improve though.
Unique and special exhibits. We could have spent all day.
i love gettin my groceries here in the garden of flowers
i eat pears now
Huey Lewis and the News Concert with my daughter. Fun
Not much to say. Just a beautiful space with beautiful plants and art. It might just be a lot of nature, but it's absolutely one of the treasures of the city.
Beautiful winter exhibit of trees from around the world
