The AC unit in the room we stayed in sounded like a dinosaur growling everytime it came on. The other guests were up at 730 am having loud conversation and laughing in front of our room, they also stayed up until 11pm almost being loud and obnoxious. I understand that they are on vacation, but so are we. This is supposed to be a family resort and it's just too noisy. This was only my first night experience. I am exhausted..from this trip.

This place was great fun for my 5 year old. However I feel this place needs some upgrades. Some of the facilities had an old, stinky smell. We stayed in one of the new cabins, which was great. However the TV's weren't HD (hi-def) and the beds we're only doubles, not queen. Considering how new they are I don't know why they wouldn't include these table-stakes items. I do like the concept of these little cabins though. They also need more deck chairs around the outside pool.

Love our yearly trips we look forward to going back every year

The staff is phenomenal and the amenities could've have been better. It was perfect for our six year old. She said she wanted to live there! Despite other reviewers, we thought the room was great. Not the typical hotel shower.. very nice.

the lamp didn t work and the rooms felt dirty and we found MOLD in a corner of our room, won t be staying here again i m very disappointed and the walls are very thin, we could hear the babies crying from the room behind us

Very family friendly, great staff, great amenities, convenient shuttle service to the boardwalk, and the pavilion was wonderful. We traveled with a group of 47 and the kitchens and the pavilion were utilized frequently. I would love to return as a family and rent a cottage. Thank you for helping to make our trip a great one.

It is a great family place, lot's to do. Close to shopping and dining. The shuttle makes going to the beach or boardwalk fun and easy!! Love the employees they are a fun and nice crew It's always sad to leave

Awesome place to stay with kids. Lots of activities on site. Great food and adult drinks, the wife loved the strawberry daiquiri. The shuttle bus to the beach/boardwalk was fast and convenient. We stayed at a room with a kitchen/full size fridge with was super convenient when traveling with toddlers. Can wait till next year's stay.

Definitely a great place for families especially with younger children. My daughter loved it!

We love it at the Francis Scott Key Resort and have been vacationing there for the past 3 years! There is so much to do for the kids with the indoor and outdoor pools, the pirate spray ground for the little ones, basketball court, volleyball, playground, mini golf and movie night - just an awesome place to be! It's fun for adults too and the outdoor bar by the pool help! I would recommend this resort for families looking for a place to stay in Ocean City, MD anytime!

Did have joining rooms and also they didn't let us know that we could have rented a college for a week

Really nice place for families. Might be a little expensive

Had a wonderful time. Will definitely return. My only complaint is the water pressure. It is awful. The pools are wonderful. My kids loved it.

Our first time here was great. Our last two times weren t so much. The rooms are outdated (which is ok as long as it s kept up to a certain standard), but it seems that isn t the case. We all felt itchy the entire time during our stay and we didn t really notice it until the second night. I would not return. The amenities are awesome though. We will never be back though and the kids loved this place outside of the rooms and itchiness that could be to the horrible bed and bedding or possibly bed bugs.

Live this place,y sister n her family have been going there for 40 plus years, since her husband had a bad fall and left him paralyzed almost 20 years ago, I started flying from MI. Down to take vacation w her, I love this place, you really have no need to go off the premises, but should you need to go to the boardwalk well they have a shuttle that takes you back and forth there, plus a huge outlet stores and Fri Er and fast food straight across the street, you won't be dissapointed, this place is for all ages, and not to mention the route 66 dinner absolute the best

This place is the best for younger children. The spray park, outdoor pool, and indoor pool are more fun than the beach for my 4 year old. Good prices on food and drinks on the campus are a relief from the boardwalk.

We go there every year and it is wonderful. My kids love the indoor pool. Definitely a family fun experience. Its always something to do since is close to the boardwalk. The rooms are OK but I think they can do better. But for the price and the fun time they always get us. I will be there next year again and my family can't wait to go back.

We had a great stay! Theres mini golf, indoor and outdoor pool. We only got to take advantage of the indoor though, due to it being out of season. They have a small park, volleyball court, basketball court, they offer movies, game cards and board games as well. I'd stay here again.

Main building rooms smelled musty. Other than that its a great family fun place

Loved our mini vacation! We stayed in Florida (closest to indoor pool) which isn't a far walk. When I got there they upgraded our room at no extra charge! Staff is super friendly and very accommodating. Locals package is the way to go!

Staff is super friendly. The owners are awesome people...they make renovations and upgrades every year...FSK only gets better! So many amenities! We (our girls group) visit OC several times during the year...we won't stay anywhere else!

Well maintained, family friendly. Love the indoor and outdoor activities available. Shuttle to The Boardwalk is great.

We have stayed at FSK many times in the past and despite the recent upgrades I feel like it was one of our least favorite stays. The indoor pool was great as usual, and the outdoor one looks a million times better than it did in the past, but the water was so cold! None of the kids wanted to get in so we went back to the indoor pool. As for our room (Maryland bldg room 419) I checked as soon as I got in for any bed bugs out of habit and the beds looked extremely clean, I was super impressed at the lengths they went through to ensure there were no bed bugs. The rest of the room however appeared a bit dingy, and the bathroom was pretty gross with a strong urine smell and dirt in the corners of the floor. Also, around 7pm when we were in our room our light on the fan went out. I wasn't too concerned and figured the bulb blew out and I would tell them when we checked out. However, at 1:45 am the light suddenly turned back on, waking up all 4 of my kids, which ended up being a nightmare trying to get my 4 year olds back to sleep! Overall I'd rate it a 3/5...we'd stay here again only because my kids love it.

Pool is great, room size good, bed so-so, guests terrible. We stayed there for two nights over New year's. The pool is very kid friendly. The pool bar drinks are quite reasonably priced. The staff is quite friendly and the room was decent sized and clean. The bed is the Tempur pedic type and not that comfortable, but I didn't wake up with a sore back or neck. The other guests was a problem, around 930 for 45 minutes about 10 or so rooms had given their young children kazoos. ... Which woke us up. Security arrived and they calmed down... Until midnight which went on for 15 or so minutes before someone called security again. Life lesson, don't rent here around any holiday unless you stay up late.

Its not luxurious by any means. It is in desperate need of renovation. Some staff wore masks. Front desk staff was very courteous!!!

Stayed for a week, good things are the shuttle to beach and board walk are definitely a benefit, pools are nice with multiple options of an indoor pool and outdoor pool, and splash pad for small kids only. but pools get crowded at times. The small 9 hole mini golf is good to break up the day, and the location of the resort is super easy to swing over to asseteague and see the horses and walk the nature trails. Everyone of the staff was friendly
Bad things were pools get crowded at times, the rooms are a bit dated, other groups staying there did not respect the 11 pm curfew, the walls seemed paper thin at times with hearing other people yelling and kids screaming as well as what would sound like people coming through the ceiling at times. And not that it was needed, we didnt have housekeeping for our 7 day stay. They were there but not on a consistent schedule.
Now yes we could have issued noise complaints or asked for housekeeping but the noise wasn't every night and housekeeping really wasn't necessary so overall had a very nice time.

FSK does a great job entertaining the kids. They have events each night and DVDs and board games at the front desk to take too your room. The pool was tremendous fun!

First time we stayed a week and didn't run out of anything to do. Second time we only stayed a weekend and was not ready to leave.

Had the best time .they have a bus to take u to the beach and bring u back for free it's great parking is 20 bucks or more .u can bring all ur stuff with you . It runs till 10 pm . They have a indoor pool for when it rains too

Was a good place to stay, the beds were actually bit that bad. Only issue was the kitchen I had in my room didn't have an utensils.

The pools and activities are great but they really need to spend more attention and money on their rooms. Ours was really run down. Ceiling had large holes and mold stains. The outlets didn't work so we could not charge our phones. Very disappointing room.

We go here year after year for the location, the efficiency rooms, and the atmosphere. Unfortunately sometimes other guests can be quite loud but that's no fault of the staff. I'd like to give a shout out to the security officer. He's a great guy and is professionally helpful when He needs to be. Cool place!

Location is great, rooms are neat and clean with lots of things to do at the resort.

It is a fun little place to stay. The bed were super comfortable. Very clean but a little dated. Temperpedic memory foam mattresses including the pullout sleeper sofa. Locals get awesome deal on package rooms. The pool area is perfect for families. Large pool with a huge kid friendly water slide. They have a huge hot tub that are for anyone 18 and over. The concession stand is reasonably priced. They serve alcohol for those who drink. If you want to get away especially during the off tourist season this is the place to go. During the summer it really close to Assateague beach and Ocean City and the boardwalk.

Kid friendly, my granddaughters had a blast, played in the pool until it closed. The rooms could use an upgrade but the beds all had memory foam toppers which were comfortable. Even the pullout couch did! Close enough location to everything including the boardwalk. Definitely visiting in 2020!

Great for families with kids. Convenient location, close to the ocean, restaurants and shopping. Lots of things for the kids to do.

The grounds and amenities are really nice and well maintained. Great place for families! The rooms are really outdated and a little musty smelling. If they updated the rooms, I would recommend to anyone!

I loved this place, its was affordable, clean and close to everything.

Check in was easy and staff helpful. Room was very clean, but, the walls are very thin. We could hear our neighbor talking well into the night.

THIS IS DEFINITELY A GREAT PLACE TO TAKE KIDS SO THEY CAN HAVE THEIR WAY OF ENJOYING THEMSELVES.

This is an extremely budget friendly and family friendly hotel. Kids loved all the pool options. While this hotel is old, it's extremely clean and everything was in good working order. I'd stay again.

This place is very family friendly. The rooms could've been cleaner but the staff friendly demeanor helped me get over that. The water park was very clean and nice

Quite a few things to do if you're tired if the beach, or if the weather isn't great. You'll need more than a day to take advantage of all the amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools, mini golf, and shuttle to the beach (only about a mile away). Everything is open until 10, so if you're looking for some sleep before then, it's not going to happen. The outdoor pools have bars, so take that into account. The walls are also paper thin, so hope for quiet neighbors. Not much water pressure in the shower. Other than that, the rooms were clean, and the beds were comfy (if you're okay with soft mattresses). And if you're looking for breakfast in the morning, there's a diner in the lobby. Pricey, but worth it if you have kids and things go awry at the beach.
