Definitely a great family resort. Lots of great things to do right on sight. Shuttles to boardwalk. Can get discount vouchers n tickets for restaurants n events n activities all over O.C. thru their office in the lobby. So much to list.
We stayed here for one night after booking a hotel right on the beach on our way home from Williamsburg VA, that was so disgusting and smelly we couldn t even stay there. Lucky for us Francis Scott key had a room available. I wish I found this place before I booked my hotel on the beach. They have and indoor and outdoor pool, splash pad area, mini golf, diner on premises and much more. The kids had a blast!! Rooms are a little dated but they are clean the beds are comfortable. We will definitely plan a trip here again. Thanks Francis Scott Key!
FSK is absolutely great. Everything right at your fingertips even transportation to the beach. So glad we stayed and definitely going back.
There may be lots of good reviews about this place, and that's why we went. When we got there the rooms where moist and the beds where very short. Over all the place was dirty. I don't recommend it to anybody who hats being dirty, and sleeping in a poorly ventilated room!
Wow where do I start this Resort is definitely a great place to spend with your family. It's really our home away from home. This is my second time on vacation with the family here and I have to say each time gets better and better. The staff is awesome and very friendly. There is so much for the kids to do on this Resort. The only thing you have to worry about is finding good local spots to eat from, but that won't be hard because you're surrounded by a lot of different restaurants. I'm already planning the third trip back during the summer with more family members. The kids had a ball and they made new friends and they all looked out for each other. The only disappointment was the price of blue crabs out here they were very expensive. However I did find a local who told me about another spot in Salisbury Maryland call Fat Boy which is only 27 mins away you will definitely get your money's worth. I will be returning soon Francis Scott Key Resort.
ABSOLUTELY A HAPPY PLACE FOR KIDDOS !!
I was soo excited to stay at this resort, especially for the Pirate swimming pool, indoor swimming pool and the mini golf course.
The room was big enough for 4 of us (2 adult and 2 kids) with looking new modern furniture

We checked in at 7 PM on Monday, and it was after their front working hours, so they called me and tell me to get the key in the mailbox in front door.
So I didn't meet anyone upon check in time,
It was rare, but its okay.. the process was easy.
Cons :
I called 2 days before booking to asknthe pool hours, but unfortunately they closed the pool, both inside and outside and only open for the weekend.
It's really disappointing, as those were the main reason we stay there.
And the stairs really need to be cleaned, so dirty and there are few spider webs on corners.
Always a great time here!!! Endless games of putt putt
This place had many family friendly things to do. Unfortunately our stay didn't not work out and we had to cancel but the staff was outstanding and they worked with us trough everything.

Great family gateway! Indoor and outdoor water parks for all ages, pool, poolside bar and food, miniature golf, great staff!
Went there for the first time last summer; headed back in Spring AND Summer! Wonderful place for our family with young kids. The shuttles to the Boardwalk are super convenient; we barely ever had to wait. Indoor and outdoor pools are fun; great entertainment for all ages, plus excellent wait staff and great food/drink specials. The only complaint is that it took me this long to find this place!
Pool was nice, wifi was a little spotty, staff at the hotel is a bit rude.
I really wanted to love this place, but we just couldn't. I love the concept of the resort and there's quite a few things for the kids to do. BUT... Our family had 3 rooms reserved for a 3 night holiday weekend stay. The entire floor in our room was "spongy" and felt like you were going to step right through it, our linens didn't appear to be clean and the shower backed up to the point of standing in almost a foot of dirty water for a 5 minute shower. We had small children with us and couldn't give them a decent bath/shower. My parents' room still had used face masks in the couch cushions, which would also mean that the linens on the pull-out couch were not changed. Guests above us were being loud, shouting and playing loud music until almost 4am, then became extremely disrespectful when asked politely to reduce the volume. After reporting this to the front desk and nothing being done about it, my parents' room received prank calls for the remainder of our stay. Our "neighbors" woke up to food thrown all over their vehicle from the obnoxious guests in the upstairs room, and a female guest spit at him while screaming "go ahead and report me" when asked about the food on the vehicle. We planned to eat breakfast at the outside picnic tables the one morning but had to quickly change our plans due to the fact that there was vomit all over the picnicking area, in which you could smell a strong stench of alcohol. All of this while the resort vowed they were taking extra sanitation and cleaning measures. We didn't see housekeeping once! Included in our check-in packet was a paper asking everyone to bag all garbage and dirty towels/linens and keep them in our room during our stay for them to be collected upon our departure. I expected better than what we experienced during our stay.
***Let me note that the front desk staff and the lifeguards in the indoor pool were polite and friendly, and the pools were nice.***
I LOVE coming down to the Francis Scott Key Family Resort for my "Welcome to Summer" trip. It's family owned, and it is kept very nice. The pool and amenities are perfect for a great summer place to vacation. It's close to everything, without being in the middle of it all.
Recently visited this resort and couldn't imagine a better place for families to stay. From the diner to the pirate ships/pools, miniature golf and basketball court, not to mention the pool bar for mom and dad! Great location as well!
