Saw a production of Chicago here and was not disappointed. I especially liked that they let you bring your drinks into theater, no more chugging your drink to finish before the end of intermission.

We were just there for a premier of Up. There was a 20 minute intermission so my family and I went to the food lab to get a warm drink and get sweaters because it was extremely cold in the theater. Upon re-entering, we were checked again and but were told there is "no re-entry". Even after explaining our situation the guy told us "they told you at the door there is No re-entry" we let him know that there was NO one at the doors and they should have some there to let people know. We weren't the only people who walked out.....he was rude and repeated the same thing. We left, upset....I work in downtown and have been looking forward to visiting the Fox theater but now don't think we will return.
We went for the Disney Up! Movie Experience. It was ok. The theater is awesome, but they had an intermission about 40 minutes into the movie. It made us lose interest and we left early. You could hear the whole theater groan when they stopped the film and announced the intermission. The film is only about an hour and a half. Intermission is not necessary.
I purchased the upgraded "VIP" tickets back in September for a show. They were $40. The lady selling them outside of the theater said it was for an exclusive after party, pictures, the lounge, snacks and a bar. Well come to fund out the after party was free for everyone. The person selling the tickets said if you dont have a band you wont get into the after party. I was very disappointed. If i would have known that after party was free i would not have upgraded. Plus you had to pay for your drinks at the bar. I have tried calling since the beginning of October. I spoke to the manager of the VIP ticket sales today and she was very rude. She said i paid for the hors d oeuvers. Well that was some expensive cheese and crackers. They refused to refund my money. I willnot go back. So DONT EVER PURCHASE THE UPGRADED VIP TICKET!!! ITS NOT WORTH IT!!!!!
Beautiful venue with excellent accessibility, acoustics and amenities. The architecture and design inside is beautiful and reminiscent of a bygone era.
Intimate is how I would describe this theatre. Parking and walking to and from couldn't be easier and plenty of eateries in a 3 block radius to fill up prior to a show.
Great looking old theater... sound of performance could barely hear and I'm not hard of hearing.. it was Tuesday night of Chorus Line.. if tickets were less out wouldn't be a big deal.. but over $200 for two tickets...wholly moley... what a waste!!
This is a nice clean old venue, seating is tight though and once you are seated it's not easy to get out. I gave four stars because they really gouge you on concessions, $15 for a special tiny Mai Tai really?
Took my wife to watch a show here. Nice place. Every seat seemed like it would have a great view. Nice to have a place close to home to enjoy some great entertainment.
I loved the concert the place was really nice, but parking lot was very limited, we have to park like three blocks away from the Fox performance center.
Great, beautiful and historical building. Most people don't this but the Riverside Fox theatre was the first theatre to screen "Gone with the Wind", before it's Hollywood premiere
We went to see comedian Bill Burr here (he gets one star). The acoustics were great, and the theatre is pretty. It was uncomfortably warm, and every time someone needed to go by to get to their seat or leave (which was an inordinate amount of times because the rows are very long with only a couple of breaks in between so anyone in the middle had to walk all the way to the end to get out) we would have to literally stand up so that they could squeeze by. It happened at least 5 times!
There were no large screens showing close-ups of what was happening on stage, so we missed facial expressions or silent actions. I honestly can't recall the last large venue that I went to that didn't have at least one large screen, with a camera. I think it might've been sometime in the '90s?. Even all of the churches have them now...
We had to leave the venue at the end and go to a nearby bar in order to find a bathroom. The line for the MEN'S room was scrolling out of the door at Fox! The men's room! That never happens.
So, large, pretty theatre. It is not built to comfortably accommodate all of the people that they pack in there.
L VE going to this place, my favorite is the VIP treatment always a blast, this time went to watch the Rocky Horror Picture Show ... it was Awesome, the crowd was well behaved, the participation was phenomenal, which made GREAT
Nice theater with limited parking and for the particular show I attended, Carlos Rivera, criminal lighting with two strong light panels shining straight into the audience almost the entire concert.
