Wow! What a dream!

Wow! What a dream!
I have stayed at more than a few places in whistler but this one stands out. The property is just amazing. The hotel staff are superb people and inject fun into the experience. Wish I could give them 6 stars.
Can't wait for the renovations to bring this property to a new level of perfection.

Honestly not an experience I expected from a four seasons resort. The check in was great and the gentleman, Brandon, was super kind and helpful making sure we had everything we needed and adamantly booked us our dinner reservation as all the fine dining restaurants were either closed or fully booked for the nights we were spending our anniversary. The room was splendid and clean upon getting there.

However, we were not informed that room cleaning was not going to be something they provided. This was understandable because of COVID, but when I called the concierge to ask about room cleaning, the gentleman was snarky and made it seem like it was something that the guests know they wouldn t be providing. Doesn t say anything on their website about that unless I missed it, and we were not told when checking in. He was not friendly when I asked for new towels and robes. Also, anytime you walk by any of the employees at the hotel, they all seemed very miserable and wouldn t even say hi to you. We ve stayed in many hotels in Whistler and they greet you every time you walk by.

On a more serious note, I was down in the hot tub relaxing when a big black bear came rummaging through the garbage bin. Terrifying experience!! There had only been me and a mom and her very young son in the pool area. Thankfully I had my phone near me so I called my partner to get a hold of someone from concierge, but they took forever to get down to us. We were down with the bear for a good 7 mins (looked at my phone record to see how long I had stayed on the phone). It takes maybe 1 minute to get from the reservations table down to the pool and that s if you re walking slowly. The entire village has bear proof garbage bins and the hotel should have taken extra precautions and done the same or maybe take out the garbage more frequently if it s not going to be bear proofed. The situation could have turned very badly as that bear was clearly very hungry. Afterwards, no one even checked on us to make sure we were okay. They knew which room number we were in and no courtesy call to apologize for our safety being jeopardized.

Then on our way out we were stuck in the parking garage as no one was answering the call to have the door opened. Called 6 times. Even tried on my cell phone. Once they did answer, no apology and said they would open the door but took another long time to actually open it until we called again.

Probably would have been better off staying anywhere else but this hotel for our anniversary. Very traumatized and disappointed.

Had an amazing experience at the Four Seasons Whistler. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Evan at the front desk was exceptional. Rooms clean and big! Thank you Four Seasons for a wonderful experience.

Fiver stars for the 5 star hotel. 5 minutes late on having our room ready, extended our check out to 4pm which was awesome. and upgraded our room. They added a couple other things. Can not be happier. 5 stars.

These guys always do it right! I am a long time Isadore Sharp fan - he was my mentor as I was developing small hotel projects of my own. I've been a guest here many times and will continue to do so. I love how when I check in to Four Seasons anywhere in the world, they offer an authentic greeting, go every distance to make things right, acknowledge me as a global customer, call me by my name before I say it! We always couple this visit with a trip to the Scandanavia Spa.

Service is amazing like all their other hotels. The extra touches make the stay even more special - stuffed animals for kids, smores, wine tasting, ski concierge, hot chocolate and cookies, etc.

Stayed in the king size deluxe room. It was very spacious and beautiful! They have a heated pool and a couple hottubs which was great! Spent a lot of time there. Everyone was friendly, just a bit of confusion at the front desk, and took a while when we asked for slippers to be delivered to our room, but just minor stuff. Other from that it was amazing. Would def stay again.

This review is based on the check-in alone, as I've just checked in and I can't imagine it will go up from here.

Stay away.

I booked the executive one bedroom suite. I am taking my family up here for 5 nights in a few weeks in the three bedroom suite and wanted to ensure I made the right decision in booking this hotel.

i arrived at 3:30pm. Room wasn't ready (all good) so we proceeded with check-in anyway.

I brought my dog, as we will be bringing him up in a few weeks. Immediately charged $65, because I didn't book a certain room... (?) - see attached for the policy.

I spent $700 on this room for one night, but fine...

Then, head to valet for my EV. Can't self park, fine, so I accept the $35/night valet charge. I ask if it can please be charged overnight (there are multiple EV chargers in the parkade) and I am told that there is a line-up, but they'll "try their best".

Ok...

Get to my room (4:05pm it is finally ready). No dog bowls, dog bed, etc. Call down. They said they'll bring it up ASAP.

It's been 20 min.

These are all first world problems. Totally get it. But if I'm spending nearly 10k on a hotel in one month right after COVID, I expect well beyond what this check-in experience has been like so far.

Enjoy at your own will.

Thank you for the great stay (as always!) and for swapping out the bedding for non-feather duvet. We loved the Chef's Beet Wellington at Sidecut but were extremely unhappy with the inclusion of foie gras on the menu. A hotel seeking low carbon footprint, introducing sustainability measure, etc etc, should also be concerns about what they are serving in their restaurants. Cutting back on all the endorsement of red meat would be a great next step, but first get rid of products resulting from cruel practices like fois gras!

Property:

Nice layout and amenities onsite. The heated pool was nice especially after skiing. There was nightly marshmallows and smores from 4-6 which was fun. Every Wednesday there is a manager reception with wine and appetizers. We tried the restaurant Sidecut for lunch and it was also good. I had a burger which I was happy with.

Services:

Used the shuttle that would take you to and from Whistler Village. Also there are cars that will drive you to places the shuttle does not. For example we did bobsledding and fresh tracks. Just had to ask the valet and they would take you if available. The ski valet was wonderful!! The shuttle dropped you within 100 from and you could walk in regular shoes to the valet. Put your boots on and then it was a very short walk to the lifts. At the end of the day they would take your boots and warm them for the next day.

Staff:

Very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. You could tell it was a different level of service at a place like this. They wanted to help you have the best time and almost wouldn't take no for an answer I'd they asked to do something.

I hope I get back to Whistler and am able to stay there again!!

We had an amazing time at the 4 seasons, celebrating our anniversary. The hotel went out of its way to acknowledge our special occasion with suprise gifts. Facilities were amazing although we didn't get to enjoy all of it on our short stay, but something to look forward to next time. Rooms were large and very comfortable.

They lost a point with me because of two parts. The valet staff were not friendly at all, not warm or engaging and did not feel welcomed as they are the first interaction and the last one you have with the property. I did not have a tip for them at first as I did not have any change but had some at the end with the intention to give it to them, I choose to refrain from doing so due to the lack of service. Which is something I would never consider doing as a hospitality professional myself.
The second was in part trying to reach front desk or concierge, it either took too long (several rings) or had to redial several times to be able to speak to someone.

Overall, I would still recommend four seasons whistler to anyone choosing to stay at the property.

Could not be more disappointed in our stay at the Four Seasons Whistler...

My husband and I love the Four Seasons Hotels. We travel often and whenever we stay in a city with one available we always go there. We also frequent the Toronto location quite often and are always extremely impressed.

We came to the Whistler location as the ending of our week long BC honeymoon ... saving the best for last of course or so we thought.

This place has so much potential but unfortunately the service (or lack thereof) and the staff interactions ruined it so much so that we checked out a day early.

First off, all services were advertised on the site as being open and available and unfortunately everything was closed. We looked forward to using the spa and that was closed so we took our business elsewhere. The little vintage camper was completely shut down and we were so excited to use that outdoor area. They didn t even turn on the cafe lights for those going on evening walks around the grounds.

The employees wouldn t even say hi or look up from their computers when you walked in. It seems like they have laid off all their staff and have only a small handful covering front desk, housekeeping, and valet.

As for housekeeping, it was very disappointing. Not coming in the room due to covid is lazy and makes no sense. If they were to wash their hands between each rooms and use masks there is very little risk. Meanwhile they charged us for several room taxes and service fees. They mentioned many times how they knew it was our honeymoon but didn t do anything for it. We weren t expecting anything but you d think a place like this would even lay your robes out and acknowledge the occasion with at least a card. I requested a small amount of milk to have with the coffee machine in room as there wasn t any provided in the large refrigerator or mini fridge and we were charged 8.00 dollars for it.

The pool was nice although the hot tubs weren t hot, just warm. They also were partially drained and quite dirty.

The valet guys were great and very helpful.

The room was decorated beautifully but for having 1 bed and a relatively small bedroom in there, not sure why there was a 8 person dining area. The view obviously was immaculate. The wifi was horrible.

When we requested to check out early, we spoke with Evan who was apologetic about our experience. He wanted to speak with us upon checking out but when we got down to the lobby he was nowhere to be seen and Miranda unapologetically checked us out.

Overall, it won t affect us giving our business to other Four Season locations, that said we will not be returning to the Whistler location ever.

UPDATE: Evan did email us back and apologized. He also compensated us for our breakfast.

I broke my arm and shoulder on our second day of vacation. We had to fly home urgently to the states for surgery. I have months of rehab ahead of me and I have poor function in my dominant hand. Four Seasons refused to credit back or transfer our reservation. We reserved our room online so we lost what we paid for the reservation and we didn't even stay at the hotel. The principals of this situation are so wrong. I feel like I was robbed by this huge establishment. I feel like they took our money and were completely unsympathetic to my terrible accident. The moral of my experience: don't get involved in any type of emergency situation and expect fair treatment from The Four Seasons. So discouraging. We will most likely stop using Four Seasons as our primary place of stay in upcoming vacations.

My favorite of all the resorts in Whistler. They offer excellent service with nice rooms. It's a bit smaller then Fairmont and their main lounge isn't as nice, but overall it's a nicer experience then most others. Really nice outdoor heated pools.

One of the very finest destinations in Whistler, where the competition is high. This venue has a high luxury feel in a faux/rustic genre set against the rich and lush Coastal Mountains. You won t be disappointed with the hotel, it s contemporary yet rustic decor, or Whistler Village itself.

We were very pleased with our experience at this hotel. The value for money for clearly high. Excellent accommodation in a nice mountain decor but modern at the same time. This hotel is in the upper village which is a bit more quiet appealing to more mature clientele. We really liked the happy hour wine tasting , showcasing wines from the region, complimentary. The room service was excellent and delivered everything in very rapid fashion. We ordered and reordered consumables in the room and the staff delivered promptly. This hotel maintained strong safety and health standards and all staff wore masks all the time. Everything worked well. One item of concern is parking - whether you choose self serve or valet, there is extra cost and it is the same, $35/day which we thought was steep. Other than that, it was clean , quiet , spacious and we would come again.

Came up to Whistler for just the night and we had such a great experience at different four seasons with their mobile app check in we decided to stay there. Staff was friendly and quick to help and the room was very nice. I wish we could have stayed longer and seen more often hotel facilities! we would return to this hotel for sure in the future

This place lives up to it's 5 star rating. My wife and I spent 2 days here for our anniversary. We brought our 2 dogs with us. We had a great time. The lobby is nicely decorated and the staff is welcoming and helpful. The rooms are spacious, probably one of the best rooms I've been in that isn't a suite. The water pressure in the bathroom is amazing, top notch. The handheld shower pressure is so strong the handle lifted off the cradle. My dogs loved the space, they played in the room nonstop.

We ate dinner at their restaurant, Sidecut. We had the 3 course set meal and they were able to accommodate any dietary changes. There was an unpleasant experience with other guests of the restaurant. 2 women mistook another guest as a server and started hurling insults at the guest and his wife. Some staff intervened but the 2 women were obviously inebriated. The staff assured us of our safety and compensated us for the disturbance.

I love the fact that there are dog beds provided with bowls and water. Plus, there is no fee for having pets. There's a nice little walkway beside the pool. The location of the hotel is a little far from the village stroll but there are still restaurants at the Upper Village Stroll.

Marvellous client service. The resort is located walking distance from the upper and lower village and if you don't want to go anywhere the suites are fantastic! incredibly cozy provided with a chimney, balcony with a breathtaking view and the comfiest bed you can get. The spa services are totally worth the money.

This hotel had impeccable service with the exception of the front desk. I was quite ill and had to reschedule my reservation . Expedia was so great with wanting to refund my entire monies back but unfortunately the front desk run around that I got on several occasions was beyond professional. Manuel finally came through with a $500 credit and was nice but now I am unfortunately dealing with my Travelers Insurance for the entire refund.
