The hotel location is amazing, the rooms are fine although need renovation in my opinion but the worst thing we experienced was breakfast so so disappointed by the food on the buffet or on order, we did complain about it so hopefully they will change that cause I would love to go back there one day. Although I wasn t too crazy about the pool as it was always busy with kids so keep that in mind! But overall good hotel

We first stayed at Four Seasons Maui at Wailea in 2013 and it was what you would expect from Four Seasons, a quality resort/hotel with excellent service. Some how the resort, despite the recent renovations, and the service has gone down hill and is definitely not what you would expect.
We were attending a wedding at the hotel and I don t think there was one single item on the list of the host nor the guests that would get either a 4 or a 5 star rating. I hope this does not become the norm for a brand that we have historically held in high regard.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to Tassie in the reservations dept for her great customer service and assistance. It was a fantastic experience and she went way beyond the normal. Thank you I will be back.

From the moment we arrived, until we left the staff treated us like royalty. The lobby and public areas are spectacular. The rooms are fabulous. The food is yummy. The beach area was our favorite spot. We were greeted with a bottle of ice cold water when we returned from our bicycle trip. I love the Four Seasons!

Superb location. Accommodations, amenities, and staff are amazing. Everything is clean, well manicured and attention to detail is very obvious. Well deserved of it's five star and five diamond rating.

I debated booking here or the four seasons next door. I do not regret my choice. Suites we're large, beautiful view of ocean. The grounds are lush, with direct beach access. Lots of dining options on resort, but it's Maui and lots of great restaurants nearby too. There are families on the resort, but one half is really only for adults, we stayed on this side and found our stay very pleasant. I also recommend the area as it's Central to everything in Maui!

room was clean. staff very pleasant. restaurants food was not good. the walking trail by ocean was nice.

the cabanas were $500 per day. we were declined one day. i went back at 8am to reserve and told they were completely booked. "but u just opened now!!" why did the staff not suggest i book for another day!?!? i was never provided with that option. :( he could have and should have asked: how long will u be staying with us? or maybe they should limit reservations so other guests have opportunity to reserve.

My wife describes the festive season at the Four Seasons Wailea as "Family Camp" for two weeks in the winter. Over the years we have become friendly with 8-10 families who we not only spend time at the FS over the Christmas/New Year holiday time period, but throughout the year in other cities around the US and world as well. These families are from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Vancouver, Denver, Toronto and Alaska to mention a few.

It is the leisurely activities such as spending time on the beach, or by the pool, having dinner or drinks, watching football, playing tennis or paddle on the beach, getting caught up on each other's lives and spending quality time with one another and family is what makes this vacation so rewarding and valuable to our family.

The service and attention that the FS staff provides makes the entire experience that much more special.

Above and beyond services and facility. Rooms are constantly being refreshed by professional housekeeping team. Staff are super friendly and thoughtful. The entire hotel and property is so well cared for and nicely designed. Definitely above our expectation. Highly recommended!

This is the perfect place for our honeymoon. We just finished a private scuba session and we could hear the humbacks singing during our dive. It was the best dive of my life and all we had to do was walk into the water from the Four Seasons beach. We had originally been at Grand Wailea, but left after the worst service and experience ever! Everywhere here is less crowded and the service is great. Here they have 800 employees to help accommodate 300 rooms, versus the 800 employees per 800 rooms nextdoor. We never want to leave.

This was the most beautiful resort I think we've ever stayed at in our lives. The grounds and rooms are perfect, the infinity pool and bar were great, and there was tons of restaurants you can walk to. No complaints, can't wait to go back!

My husband and I had a oceanside massage on our trip to Maui and I have to say it was one of the highlights! You just can't get better then hearing waves crash on the beach while getting a private massage. And the spa facilities were absolutely wonderful.

This place is in a word "perfection". The staff, the grounds, the rooms, everything is done to the highest quality. We have stayed here 3 times and every single time it's awesome. You do pay for it, however, you do GET what you pay for, IMO. The club level was a real treat to try.

A hotel that was indebted 15-16 times. If you didn't get into scuba diving, you would have done it every year.

Four Seasons Hotel is wonderful, but the development of the Wailea area has progressed and it has transformed into a luxury resort seen in the last 20 years. This one section is a green world with golf courses, restaurants and shopping malls.

There are more than twice as many hotel rooms as hotels in Waikiki, and the bathrooms are ordinary rooms and suites.
The restaurants in the hotel are the best, but I liked the Italian of FERRARO'S BAR E RISTORANTE.

Amazing Service. This is a story of a staff member (Aundria) that went well beyond the call of her duty. After having dined at the hotel restaurants, my wife and I decided to go offsite for dinner. We were very disappointed. Upon our return to the hotel lounge for after dinner drinks, Aundria immediately noticed we were not happy. She not only made sure we were served in a timely fashion, but also gave us a complimentary drink. Her cheery demeanor and phenomenal service made our night.

The umbrellas around the pools don't provide much shade. The staff were not Very helpful. I was on waiting list for 5 hours and by my time the sun had moved and the umbrella was useless. For such expensive hotel they should invest and buy better umbrellas. The sun here is very strong and with sun screen we got bad burns around the pools.
Some rooms have Gorgeous views but some don't. Cozy rooms. Beautiful lobby and yard. Awesome beach.
Very long walk to our room, this hotel needs another elevator.

We were really looking forward to our stay at the Four Seasons Wailea resort. This was our second visit to the island, previously having stayed at (and enjoyed) the Ritz Carlton in Kapalua. Unfortunately the four seasons really fell short of our expectations.

First when we arrived, the staff member who assisted our check-in was very difficult to understand. Her communication skills were poor, and after a long flight we were a little confused and disoriented. We received no outline of the hotel or information about accommodations. (We had to later visit the concierge to understand where the restaurants were, the layout of the hotel, what time breakfast was, etc.) At the end of the check-in process this staff member mumbled some offer for something for $100 related to our room, but neither of us really understood what was being offered so we declined politely. It wasn t a good start to our visit.

Next when we checked into our room, we found the accommodations to be very lackluster. Notably the room seemed to have an ant problem, as well as some mold in various places around the room. The furniture seemed stained and old in some places as well.

The hotel didn t seem especially full, but it was very difficult to get a seat by the pool. One day we waited around 2 hours and never were seated, so we just left. Luckily we were able to stow our belongings somewhere and swim for a while anyways, but it would have been nice to have a seat as we wanted to read and sunbathe.

Overall I think our stay at the Four Seasons left us with the feeling that it is a lackluster brand with a big name. Perhaps in the past, the Four Seasons deserved its reputation, but it doesn t seem to be that way anymore. In any case, we won t be clamouring to visit a Four Seasons any time soon, and I would advise anyone reading this to take a look at some of the other hotels on the island that are nicer and more affordable.

Sometimes I thought about traveling with my parents, I thought it was a good place ... and stayed. I thought it would be fine even at a more reasonable place, but I am convinced to stay. The atmosphere and the staff's response was another dimension of excellence.
Of course the ocean view was also great, but the garden is clean and the garden view is also recommended (and the price is also cheap).
It is a super luxury hotel, but the staff are friendly and you can have a cozy stay with your children. The sandwich I ordered at the poolside was delicious!

Had a great time just visiting for a few hours. Went to the hula show in the lobby and had a few drinks. Very expensive drinks but you can t beat the sunset. Pool looked amazing but we were not staying there to swim.

Terrible service when we arrived. Even though we had called months in advance our rooms took hours to be ready. The bed was wet and still had sand on it, and the staff were dismissive and unhelpful. Definitely won't be coming back here. By far the worse Four Seasons experience I've had.

My wife and I went here from the Fairmont Kea Lani to have lunch. The waiter was so happy to see us told us he was happy for us to be there was very professional very nice and the food was very good too. A far cry from the lack of professionalism from the waiters and waitresses at the Fairmont Kea Lani should have stayed at the Four Seasons Maybe.

Just checked in. First impression: it's a joke. If you are willing to spend $1,200/night in a Super 8 in mid west, go ahead. This is your place. If not, choose a much better hotel/resort in Maui (there are so many of them).

Room too small. Double bed. 1 bathroom. No ventilation in the bathroom. So I went downstairs to check the bathroom in the lobby. No air conditioning. What? You wanna take a dump in a 80 degree bathroom (after paying $1,200/night?) No f-ing way!?

Oh what about balcony? Joke! And again, $1,200 per night, you better have a big balcony. If it was maybe $300, reasonable. It's a f-ing $1,200 per night! And this is what you have!? Joke! Joke! Joke!

Run while you can. Thank you for reading!

The hotel amenities (especially the adult pool) are beautiful and the views from the lobby and pools are spectacular. Our room was large, quiet and spacious. My major complaint is that the food is just not very good at this resort, especially for the price. The service was usually polite but not as good as I have experienced at other resorts at similar price points. I am also not sure how I feel about having to wake up before 6:30 to wait in line for the best beach/pool chairs. However, it is nice that it is impossible for someone to have booked up all of the best chairs in advance and that you do not have to pay extra for beach/pool chairs. This policy is just something to keep in mind, especially if you are a late riser on vacation! All-in-all a good experience and I would likely stay here again.
