Four Points by Sheraton Tallahassee Downtown Reviews

While in Tallahassee for the law enforcement memorial, I stayed over night at the four points. The hotel was conveniently located and had a nice pool area. The parking lot was big enough to move around our large trailer a well. The room was nice but lacked a good view since we were input on the third floor. Very welcoming staff were helpful when needed.

The Four Points by Sheraton in Tallahassee is a great hotel. Sheratons are always great places to stay, and this one is no exception. It's right off of Tennessee street and close to everything. Also, right across from it is Bird's Aphrodisiac Oyster Shack. That place is legendary here in Tally.

Kitchen was ill-prepared. Servers was nice, but couldn't get first 3 order choices. It was bad, cold, and took an hour to get. Not eating there again if I have the choice.

While a tad dated, our room was comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. its awesome that they will lend you bikes to explore the area. Another great bonus is the shuttle that will take you to all the area restaurants. Sweet. I love that they are a green building, however, if you re going to replace the mini toiletries with big dispensers, be sure the dispensers in the shower are filled! Conditioner was empty, so it will be a fly away hair day for me. The roof top garden needs some attention. My biggest problem was the stained carpet, come on Sheraton, if you cannot replace it, at least get it steam cleaned!

This was a very nice hotel! The bed was suuuuper comfy, the bartender downstairs really knew how to make a quality drink and the pool was sublime! I really enjoyed my stay! If I need another hotel in the Tallahassee area I will be headed back to this one without question!!!

Clean modern rooms within walking distance of FSU. Good food, great service.

The room was great and close to the game. I accidentally overlooked my dress and forgot it at the hotel. I have called the hotel multiple times and left messages for lost and found. They keep saying they will check and get back to me every time I call. I have yet to hear a response.
They also never removed the "incident" deposit from our bill even though there was NOTHING wrong with our hotel room when we left.

I know during game weekends there are slim pickings as far as rooms available in Tallahassee so if you decide to stay here I would just be careful.

Solid choice for Tallahassee. Rooms are decent sized and clean, and staff was very friendly! They even have a full service bar and Resturant and shuttle to local destinations.

If you like air conditioning in your room avoid this hotel. I confirmed with the front desk that each
rooms air conditioning unit is run by a motion sensor. No motion in the room it goes back to default energy saving mode. So at night in the dark with you sleeping the unit must go back to their default mode of 75 or 76. Both nights we stayed my family was very unhappy with the air in our room. I woke up both nights sweating and unable to sleep. At 7:30 am with light in the room and people moving around,
the unit starts working again. SAD...won't come again

This hotel is terrible , My Marriott loyalty status is titanium edge and I travel a lot and only stay at Marriott . This hotel is so unhygienic , my rooms not clean and they don t even vacuum the rooms. Today the service did not take place at all. Unprofessional staff and poor service levels . NOT STAYING HERE AGAIN ! And some automated BOT will reply to this feedback !

I love the hotel, but be careful of the windows. People can see EVERYTHING through them, if you know what I mean

In 2015 we did not find any one to help us to move our luggage after 40 hours traveling. The food is just good not the best but the stuff are friendly and really helpful. The price usually is overpriced.

I just love this hotel but what makes this hotel the best is the staff and everything was still close because of covid-19.
But if a lot of places that got a 1-star had this staff it could take them up to 4 star

Stayed in this hotel for a week while on business. The location was prime and near a lot of restaurants and stores. Not all floors had a microwave and fridge in the hotel room, I would think that hotel staff would assign guests with extended stay reservations to rooms that had microwaves and fridge. Housekeeping was horrible. They would not change out the dirty towels nor empty the trash. Management gave us free breakfast vouchers.

Nice city view from the upper floors. Clean pool/sauna. $10 buffet breakfast. Free parking. Friendly staff

Overall great atmosphere to the hotel. Decent amount of parking and the rooms were clean. The only knock I have it the entire hotel smelled like chlorine. After your in the hotel the smell dissipates but it s pretty potent when you first walk through the doors. Overall great experience and I will definitely stay there again.

This hotel is a gorgeous building and I had the pleasure of seeing it a little more close up recently when picking up some friends who stayed as guests. It was easy to get in and out of traffic wise, while still being close to some of the best parts of Tallahassee.

Excellent hotel. Best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel! Pool and hot tub was great. Smelled nice and was clean. The tv was a smart tv with Netflix and Hulu. Very nice. Big bump going out of the hotel. Had to be careful because my car sat so low to the ground. Excellent stay! Will stay again!

The breakfast gave me life, fresh to order omelette was gourmet style. Good staff. Tallahassee is a ghost town when school is out.

Everything was as to be expected, great service, clean room and grounds. Only observation that can easily be fixed was the lack of detail to the gym. The equipment and water dispenser need attention. None was grossly dirty , just lacking the detail the rest of the Sheraton was getting.

The rooms were dirty and sheets unchanged. There is not enough parking for all their rooms. Worst Sheraton I've been to.

The building was very interesting with a circular layout on each floor and an elevator in the middle. Comfy rooms and good service!

Booked this hotel via 3rd party - travelocity. The hotel made a mistake and overbooked for the FSU v UF game. When I arrived, they were more than willing to issue apologies - but never solutions or a refund. When I called Travelocity sitting in the lobby, they called the hotel looking to get a refund - and i watched as they said the cancellation needed 48 hours minimum to cancel.

No refund issued, full billing on my credit card and no room to show for it.

So to the staff at Sheraton - customer service is not apologizing and blaming your computer, it's being honest and actually trying to help. The Motel 6 had better customer service - they comped me a room after hearing how the Sheraton failed.

My advice, book any other hotel in Tallahassee - the customer service at the Sheraton makes Brighthouse look like a shining star.

Accommodations were adequate. Room could have been cleaner but beds were comfortable.

My friends booked the Presidential Suite for my surprise birthday party and it was FABULOUS! Beautiful suite, complete with full kitchen, dining table with chairs, full couch and seating area, and huge flat screen in the living room! Bedroom suite off the kitchen included huge private bath (beautifully decorated) with King bed, flat screen, and desk area! The best part, of course, was the panoramic view of the city! Breath-taking day and night, had a great view of busy Tennessee street and the FSU campus/stadium! Staff was very friendly (they were in on the surprise and knew me by name at check-in) and helpful, even holding on to a few items I left behind at check out until I could return to pick them up! Hotel had no problem with us hosting a party, decorating, and playing music! Check out wasn't until noon, which gave me plenty of time to recuperate! Only thing I will say is that I prefer firmer pillows to the down ones they provide, so if you're like me, pack your own pillow! Overall, amazing stay that far surpassed my expectations!

The staff was super friendly and the rooms were really nice. But the pool was really gross. It's open to the public and was really messy and the pump was not working. The main reason we had picked this hotel was for the pool so a little disappointing.

The staff was kind and helpful. Room was clean and had a fantastic view. Only thing I didn't like was the breakfast, tasted gross and they tried to charge more than what it was worth.

First room not even cleaned. Smelled, trash every where really really gross. 2nd room and the 2nd night was supposed to be cleaned up.......well it was a half_ss job. The 1st bed was made with sheet messed up under but duvet was sorta kinda straight and 2nd bed had pillows all over the bed still. It looked like someone just walked out in the of it. We supposedly got clean hand towels but it had black hair on it and I m a blonde. Next the phone had stuff spilled all over it. I m so over hotels not doing their jobs.

Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Offers free shuttle service around downtown, which is ideal because this is a little off the beaten path to walk to/from work and restaurants. Also enjoyed the great bar and a little coffee nook with really nice coffee and snacks.

This place rocks! Comfy and friendly staff all the time.

Casey and Stephanie were great. We are Marriott Platinum. We were visiting family in Tallahassee. They were nice to upgrade us to a bigger room. Clean comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommend!

Stay was average. Front desk was average pleasant. Rooms were below average. Shower curtains had missing hooks, outlet on desk did not work(too loose), and had missing complimentary toiletries.

This hotel is beautiful. The room was very nice and clean! Only thing I can say my room is missing is a fridge and my husband had one in his room every other time he's stayed here. But other then that, the staff is very friendly and the hotel restaurant was pretty good!

Nice hotel overall (they did a great job!) but street traffic noise was harsh even on the 10th floor.

Rooms are dated, small, and a bit run down. However, the staff is excellent. Free parking. Bar/restaurant on site with a decent happy hour.

Decent rooms, for some reason placed in a room with two doubles.. also the breakfast is O.K. but not worth $12 buffet. Overall, de went stay overnight.

Expensive for my taste, but really nice. Breakfast buffet is awesome, in house bar/grill has a great selection across the board. Walking distance (20 mins) from Doak.

Hotel was updated and comfortable. Staff were friendly and accommodating with the shuttle. The windows in the rooms allowed for a lot of light in my room. I found the breakfast to be ok and at least they have eggs to order. Probably most people like this hotel for its location which is close to FSU. Overall a decent experience.

Ballroom was adequate - kind of bland for something called the "Ornate Room." Staff was excellent...

Good hotel except we asked housekeeping to come back later, and they never came back. The outside pool is relaxing and an overall great addition.

We stayed in room 808. Checked in after 10pm on 11/16/18 and I was traveling with 3 small children. The service was fantastic. 2 security workers helped me get into my room with my kids. One was an older gentleman, a retired deputy. The other was a young man...he offered to help with my kids while the older gentleman and I unloaded my vehicle. My issue was the cleanliness. By the time we unloaded and got settled, it was very late. My one year old picked up a pill on the floor under the chair in the room....I'm not sure what it was. There were blood stains under the toilet paper on the wall in the bathroom, and brown spots on the toilet paper. There was stubble in the sink and hair in the beds. The pillows we're stained yellow. I brought the pill down to the front desk and received an apology. It was clear that the room had not been thoroughly cleaned after the previous guest.

Not a good experience! The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the server in the bar was so friendly.
The girl at check in gave us no information, took my details and still got my email address wrong even after 4 attempts so I didnt ever receive my receipt or my reward club sign up.
There is NO INFORMATION in the room, there is no room service, grab and go if you pre order but there is NOTHING in the room to pre order from...
Breakfast is an add on price of $12pp and only a buffet breakfast no option for breakfast in the room.
The beds are not comfortable... the coffee machine was in a shelf where it could not be opened and the water poured everywhere there was not enough creamer and sugar for 2 people. No trash sacks in the trash cans
Then to be woken by kids running up and down the hallways at 7am screaming and this continued until 10.30 am not stopped by staff or parents!
The friendliest staff member was the server on the bar who recommended several places to eat and socialize.
Not a pleasant experience will not be returning

Nice low key bar. Good for conferences and business meetings. Accommodating staff.

Very clean. Professionally run, the effort is clearly evident. Building was completely gutted and renovated in 2011. They are also pursuant to reducing environmental impact, with a large solar array, Tesla / ev chargers, and a good recycling program.

The rooms were clean and had a modern look with all the essentials. The service at the bar was good. The food service staff could improve upon their servicing skills, even though it's not a real restaurant the standard should still be set as such. All together a great experience and I would stay again.

Perfectly fine hotel. Got a good rate and stayed in one of the handicap rooms.

This was a really welcome stay for the last leg of a cross-country trek from CA. Comfy bed, great food & drink across the lot, dog friendly, clean, and friendly faces. We got a good price that included wifi and there was no extra charge to park. A solid spot!

Rooms are spacious and clean with enormous windows. No refrigerator or microwave. Large TV. Bathroom cleanliness needed a little more attention to detail. Location is close to FSU and convenient to pretty much everything.

I have no complaints. The room was clean and comfortable with a great modern look. The staff was very friendly as well. Location is not central but everything in Tallahassee is relatively close so no harm done.

Normally this place is a great place to stay. My opinion of this establishment went way down when I returned to my room one night to find a 2 inch cockroach on my toothbrush. Barely an apology from the front desk. They did give me a complimentary toothbrush though.

I decided to book my bridal shower event at this Sheraton(downtown Tallahassee)
My reservation was made about 6 months in advance.
Check in day June 22, 2018
2:45pm - I contacted the hotel to confirm that the presidential suite room 1215 was ready for check in. The girl on the phone said yes ma am.
I arrived at 2:55pm and the check in line was out the door. After about 15 minutes of waiting, I reached the check in desk. The young girl took my drivers license and CC and proceeded with the check in. Once the check in was complete she asked me how many ppl were in my bridal party that would be staying overnight. I said 6 including me. I informed her that only 2 of us were here now.She handed me 2 parking passes. She said only guest staying over would need them. She then said it would be a few minutes and handed me 2 drink vouchers for the bar. After about 20 minutes I got back in line (which was still long and full of angry customers. Finally it s my turn and Casey is who I have the pleasure of speaking to. I ask when would the room be ready. She snapped back and said I don t know. She radioed housekeeping 4 times. No one answered her calls. At this point I m confused if check out was at noon and it s now 3:40... why isn t the room ready?? She said let me go ask my manager. She comes back right away and tells me 20 more minutes!! Unbelievable at this point I m furious because I have my hair and makeup artist here at the hotel. My Maid of Honor and bridesmaids have arrived with decorations. And the photographer is on the way and there is no room for us to check into. I asked Casey where would she like these people to wait. She snapped again and stated she didn t know. It s now 3:50 and we still haven t check in yet. This time I decided to send my Maid of Honor to the check in desk because I couldn t handle anymore of Casey s attitude. I get being super busy, being double booked, all out of rooms for guest with no reservations, but neither of those things were my problem. I ended up leaving with my hairstylist. We ended up going back to my house to shower and get my hair done. My bridesmaids didn t check in until after 4:30pm. Which resulted in me paying the photographer and makeup artist extra to stay. My guests all started to arrive on time and we were still decorating and setting up. The check in services at the Four Points Sheraton (downtown Tallahassee) ruined my bridal shower. To make matters worse at 8:30 my entire party and all guest had to take a field trip down stairs to the front desk to retrieve more parking vouchers because we were not informed that all cars park onsite after 9pm would need said voucher or their car would be towed??...
What an unbelievable experience. We were up and out of the presidential suite at 10am Saturday morning 6/23/2018!
