Great store - always find something new and different - superb experience
My wife and I always enjoy our shopping experience at this establishment, the caviar is to die for.
We were made to feel so special, food was lovely, im a coffee drinker but I'm converted to their teas
Nothing special to say about a store. A crowd not possible inside so no real interest passed by there if it is also wasting time without reason if there is no shopping to do there.
Old world style that will never go out of fashion. Who can't buy love a place that had an entire wall of jam!
Best tea I have tasted ever! After buying a couple boxes of breakfast tea and fruit blend tea and tasting them, I immediately asked my friend in London to buy more for me.
Now waiting for them...
Fortnum & Mason is the most elegant and oldest of the London department stores, it is an official supplier of the royal family and has the best blends of tea; it consists of a ground floor and three floors contained in a finely decorated building with magnificent windows; the interior is an unmissable marvel.
I thought it wasn't a big deal and I went back to my eyes. Purse your purse ... and keep up your mind and buy only what you must buy.
Good place to buy F & M tea, the product is complete, it is easy to accidentally buy too much
A splash of british royalty in a prestigious corner of london. A timeless jewel in the modern city of today.
Even though the barrel was so pretty, there were too many things I wanted to buy ...
I'm going to buy some of them with Earl Grey ~ I thought it was cheaper than living in Korea. Going well and going :)
Way too busy.long wait for a table in the restaurant...gave up in the end
This is a bit of very English England.
The place to buy gourmet souveniers to take abroad. You can choose from a huge range of tea in the most delightful tea caddies.
If you fancy an unforgettable picnic, order their Ultimate Banquet Picnic and have it delivered to a suitable place.
This is also a great place for brunch, afternoon tea.
Very nice store, with very nice and oh so pricey products. Everything is top notch here, and it is worth your while to visit the place even if it is just for having a look at it.
Desserts, tea, alcohol, tea sets, skin care products, clothing accessories, etc. are all admirable
Absolutely amazing place! The place is 300 yo and it s beautiful. The tea salon is wonderful very nice foods and desserts. But the wait could be long even if you have reservations.
Sorry! Six hundred mosquitoes drink tea and eat a full meal? Noisy past the teahouse, limited time, no time, no boundaries, no one to greet! What about English knowledge? I do n t want to know!
What a fantastic way to shop, very elegant and well presented.
It's Fortnum & Masons...what else is there to say!!!
Food delightful service a little slow however manager extremely helpful
This place feels truly regal. Wonderfully looking and tasting delicacies, in packaging that makes them look from a different time and world. Prices are not low, but you will enjoy spending some money in this store.
We spent nearly an hour drooling over delicious pastries, teas, marzipan fruits, cheeses, chutneys, and jams. Lovely atmosphere and fun decor!!
Your enjoyment of this beautiful department store may hinge on your tolerance for pushy tourists bumping into you. If you are going to any other floor than the ground floor you'll be alright as not may seen to venture past the teas and biscuits. The staff are lovely and helpful (in my experience). If you are there on the hour the large, ornate clock on the outside of the building has a Mr Fortnum and Mr Mason which come out to greet each other.
Excellent variety of goods that make great presents.
Delicious carrot cake and afternoon tea at The Parlor
Steeped in history. An iconic shop that hasn't lost its magic
Quite simply the best shop in the world. Amazing produce and absolutely first-class service.
Their selection of single-estate teas is truly wonderful and their marshmallows have to be tried to be believed.
I strongly recommend spending some time relaxing in their wine-bar in the basement. Great value wine, excellent food and there's often a jazz guitarist playing in the evenings, too.
A Christmas tradition! The food is amazing, the historic shop is a London icon.
Lovely store, excellent range of items for sale with superb service.
Huge variety of teas, with the possibility to enjoy the varied aromas. Rooftop tearoom opened by Queen Isabel II.
There are three types of people on this Earth: Those that shop at Fortnum s; those that don t, and those that are wholly unaware of its existence all together.
Fortnum & Mason is a special place, if you can forgive the onslaught of foreign tourists, in what can only be described as a D-Day equivalent invasion, other side around, and whom are obliviously not well-versed in gentlemanly and lady-like mannerism and oblivious to the word sorry, excuse me, and pardon me that we practice in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Some are also unaware that a human hand once existed independently without a shiny glass-and-aluminium body fruit-labelled interconnected electronic wireless contraption.
Otherwise, toilets are clean.
True British classic of the highest level
Excellent pie
The collection of 75 teapots from various eras is incredible
Smart & frendly staff
Loved the ambiance, food and service was amazing. Totally worth the money
AMAZING department store, definitely worth a walk around. There is an ice cream store upstairs that is the perfect treat. There are also accessories for men and women and housewares. The bodega is very large with lots of sweets and a small grocery. Stop in to see the amazing building, plus free bathrooms open to the public!
stunning, but expensive. This place has so much history to it but I liked it before when it was more authentic and less "geared up" to the tourists coming in to get them to spend money. It's lost a bit of class in my eyes for that but it's still something you have to see.
It is a pleasure to enter the Store which hasn't changed as so many others have. It has an air of quiet and calm which is quite unusual for a Store in the middle of Town. The staff are immaculate both in their appearance and conversation with customers. Helpful and always polite.
They must be very aware of the difference to other stores as all their staff must be hand-picked and trained beautifully. Why is it that they can achieve this when none of the other Stores in Oxford Street do ?
Often the staff are gathered around a till, discussing their previous night out and to get the attention can be trying. Communication in the young is failing because they are looking at screens for a great deal of their leisure time and social intercourse is becoming a thing of the past.
PLEASE IF YOU ARE IN THIS CATEGORY, TRY TO LEARN THE ART OF COMMUNICATION BEFORE IT DISAPPEARS COMPLETELY.
Place that is famous for tea.
Although j then to find the first floor is always too packed full of tourists just walking about.
Just go straight downstairs, there's no tea there but you can find proper food and wine.
Think of it a bit like a posh supermarket, that is even posher than Waitrose.
Friendly staff, they have the best coffee beans and tea in London.
Every December for the past 3 years I've had the opportunity to travel to London and the one thing I always look forward to the most is my visit(s) to the Fortnum and Mason store on Piccadilly. It just wouldn't be Christmas without me bringing back some Chocolossus, Pistachio and Clotted Cream and my newest discovery, the Cherrilossus biscuits. Their teas and infusions are incredible and they have a huge selection to choose from...my personal favorite is the Ginger ans Sicilian Lemon infusion...Soooo good!!! Even if you go to browse the many goodies, you will definitely be won over by their stunning store and beautiful displays, especially during the holiday season. This place is a definite must, don't miss out if you happen to be in London!!!
I love it there. You will find the most exquisit things here
Love this place so much. Great for a relaxed amble (out of holiday season). Staff are wonderful - so efficient and discreet. A real British institution. Highly recommended.
Although it cannot be said to be cheap, it is a classy place furnished with taste, it has excellent and exclusive products, the environment is more than comfortable, the kind staff and on the first floor sell fantastic ice creams. Who wants to see London must not miss this stop.
Christmas shopping is sooo easy here! It's Fortnum & Mason ! Feast your eyes on all of their offerings, the place is so beautiful, the staff are lovely and there will be something there you'll have to buy!
Wonderful experience! Went there for a date with a special person. The place is nice. The waiter, Chris, was very professional, polite knowledgeable and helpful. I think it was one was the best experiences of being served in my life. (Thanks a lot Chris!!!) Food is very good and very filling. It doesn't look like a lot in the beginning but it is difficult to eat everything. Not to mention the refreshments of the dishes. Come hungry! We went for a savoury and afternoon tea options. Savoury scones were a new experience for me. They are great! Tea selection is good. We went for the Countess Grey (black tea with orange taste and aroma) and an Iron Goddess (Chinese oolong with flowery aroma). Highly recommended both teas. Overall the experience was 10/10.
Very pleasant shopping atmosphere, great and normal products. The persmnal is very nice and helpful.
I like what they are selling... may not as popular as Selfridges or Harrods, but definitely you will be able to get something especially for yourself! Just a little minus will be the product knowledge of the staff. Other than that, wonderful place to browse around!
F&M is best known for its fabulously broad selection of the fineries, delicacies and everything that is extravagant about life. Not enough credit is given to it's fabulous restaurant's, particularly the gallery restaurant. I've enjoyed many a fine meal here but this years Christmas menu was the best ever. My pictures just don't do it justice.
Teatime in a traditional atmosphere was an experience. Food very good and a lot, great cake from the buffet, large tea selection
Fantastic place, just nothing comparable to it. Definitely worth a visit
Too crowed. Didn't find anything all that interesting or exciting for sale either. Mostly stuff that was just expensive for expensive's sake, but without being all that unique or amazing.
It has the expected luxury, the clerks in fascinating uniforms, all the tees in wonderful containers, coffees, cookies, Christmas puddings, tables decorated with beautiful teapots ... a place to enjoy the view, and if you buy something you make the afternoon round
If you're going to do an afternoon tea in London then I would 100% recommend going to Fortnum & Mason tearoom (upstairs). We tried looking for cheaper options of a similar quality and there were some available, however the price difference wasn't much and so we decided to book at the best. :) Amazing food and service, we even got given what we could finish (plus some extras) to take home with us. Most likely a booking is required to avoid disappointment.
Went for high tea. Pricey but worth it as a one off treat. Sandwiches and cakes are refilled fyi.
Place that serves fine and very tasty sweets. A little expensive, but the quality is excellent. I loved the visit. It was a pleasant surprise. It's like an M&M store for adults who enjoy good food heheheeh
A luxury grocer and department store spanning several floors.
In this classic department store you imagine yourself in the 50s of the last century. Very beautiful and special.
This is a wonderful experience on my honeymoon.im so glad that having this elegant English afternoon tea at F&M. It's worthy to try definitely!
The light fixture in the centre of the store is pretty nice. Other than that they mostly sell things for fancy tea parties. Nice place to take your mum but not that interesting otherwise.
The quality of everything is just superb. The whole decor, experience, service, it's just beyond anything else.
They simply set the standards.
Great for a wander around. Don t get distracted by all the food and drink on the bottom floors as there is lots more to explore upstairs.
The man behind the tea counter at 7pm on Monday November 2nd was the nicest person in the retail industry I've ever met.
