Costly , dinner and restaurants are not good enough.
Very good and very open. Huge garden, hill at the back drop. I loved it. Service and food definitely need improvement.
Nice place for whole day outing, one time go, costly place
Barely ok property. Massive lawns for activities, rest is about ok
Absolutely lovely place! Although we didn't stay overnight, we were greeted with an authentic Marathi welcome. The hospitality is incredible, staff goes out of their way to ensure that you have everything you need.
The place itself is extremely clean and well maintained. Staying overnight is quite expensive, but it's a great choice for a short getaway from Pune.
Getting to the place could possibly be the only challenge, private transport is a must.
Very beautiful and royal place for the marriage event
Touch of comfort with ancient feel,I love this place. U need to be fit enough to walk and climb everywhere, though
Nice atmosphere, if u have group of more than 50 peoples then definitely you will love this place
Fort is well maintained and staff is courteous too. Good place to visit for 1 day. Also swimming pool was good.
Only 2 things didnt like, one is approaching road to fort, last 1 km is very bad. Also most importantly food not at all good. In lunch we thought to have ala carte, 545rs for 1 veg dish and for 4 plain roties for 300 rs. Also taste of that dish was below average. Overpriced but not good taste. at night we had buffet, food was just fine not that good, first time we tasted spicy butter chicken. Hope they improve on food quality and dont keep it so overpriced.
They should improve on food n the options they provide
We had a awesome experience in this fort.Museum is very good .Stay was very good only food is expensive.Love the place guards are also very polite and helpful they clicked very nice photos of us.
The place is almost 2 hours away from Pune. It's on Hadapsar-Saswad road. It's basically a Fort turned into a resort. The place is really well maintained and the ambience is neat and clean. It consists of a Swimming pool. A lake. And a really big lawn. The food is good. Staff is well trained and humble.
4.5 stars from me
Clean and very well maintained. Very rare to see the beautiful fort maintained as much as possible and commercialized in good way. Others/govt should follow this.
Food is good. Lots of variety.
Lots of options for stay. Rooms, suits, tents etc. The inside all is very cool and please t always.
There are many activities which makes it perfect for family with kids.
Only downsides are
It's costly
Road to reach there is not so good. It may be difficult to get a cab from pune as Ola or Uber treat location as outside of city.
Overrated place. Have seen multiple things lacking in their ambience.
1. We went recently in December 2018 , with jatra brunch booking.
2. Drinks is been served only when you asked although it's mentioned in website , ground staff denies that.
3. Only single women were preparing chapati for all tables , resulting into long queue for the same.
4. Pottery making : they have mentioned in website and in menu , but while doing the same it just gets finished in 2 min. Maza nhi Aya.
5. Basuri Wala was awesome
It was a very good experience. Nice place, very quite. Restaurant is good also and rates are also genuine.
Jadhavgadh fort is a heritage place turned into resort which is maintained well with lot of plantation and greenary around. It has got a small museum too with things from the era of Shivaji Maharaj. At the back side is one temple and huge play ground which many people miss out as it is not visible from outside. It has got one swimming pool too inside and many scenic areas for photography. The guards welcome you with Tutari an instrument used during shivaji Maharaj era and the big door closes at 6.30 in the evening where guide explains about the significance of it. There are 2 hotels for dinning out, however the food is little costly, although a good ambience and live music to enjoy.
Beautiful Clean place Good service polite well mannered humble Staff. Good Tasty Food
Fort stay experience.... Good outing experience... Close to Jejuri temple
a good place to rest with family and friends. The food is all spicy. they make mehendi there, yay
Well maintained and nearest place to pune for quick refreshment.
Good food.. But u need to imprive on medical emergency on priority.
Fort, maintenance, Audio tour 5Stars but Chajja is terrible. -1Star
Today we were at JadhavGadh and post audio tour went to Chejja for lunch. We were 5 of us and restaurant was full. We intimated the captain and 2 others that we shall wait outside and requested them to intimate once a table gets free. I was shocked to understand that they we're least bothered and a family which came after us and was standing in the middle of the restaurant were accommodated but we're kept outside for 45 mins unattended. I had to search for another hotel employee unconnected to the Chejja and had tell him the plight. He went inside and arranged a table.
Concern was that my father is diabetic and his sugar levels were dropping since we were waiting for so long. I was worried since restaurant was careless and was just giving table to anyone standing in the middle. With the help of another employee who helped us get the table we got some papad and had to hold my father before food was served.
Guys serving food were also totally unpleasant and took terrible time to serve. There were 2 other families behind our table who screamed at the captain since nothing was served for 45 mins and everyone around is careless.
God knows if owners are not paying enough to restaurant staff or the selection of staff is terrible but the guys inside Chejja are beyond reason.
It was a nice, soulcalming place with good location, food and a friendly staff. At the time of entering they welcome u with a traditional puja . Then u can spend time here visiting the inbuilt mueseum of ancient maratha kingdom. Overall a good historic getaway. Definately worth it.
Warm n welcoming staff...had a pleasant experience. Food was gr8.
Awesome fort. Awesome food. Awesome place for family. Awesome place for honeymoon. Full greenery.
Approach Road very bumpy, it gives very bad first impression. Property is not maintained properly. Food served is OK, basic hygiene in Food Courts not maintained at all. No Basketball and Cycling available. Audio Tour is good idea but can be improved by adding GPS based navigational feature. Swimming Pool is only plus point!
A nice place to visit with family, friends, colleagues. There were activities such as Rifle shooting, Archery, and treasure hunt. They have a big lawn if you are planning to play games of your own like cricket or badminton. Food was okay.If you love history, the museum here is very well maintained and the attendant was too engaging and had a good sense of humor. They give a Garh tour, I recommend to complete the tour. The most fun thing was the welcome ceremony. They did with all the band, baja and tilak like proper Maharashtrian Swagat.
Good place for picnic for a day. But approach road is bad.
U can enjoy the natural beauty nd heritage beauty also, there is a audio tour of fort,2 food restaurants r there, dat was too costly nd not so much options, apart this issue u may love this place
Except for the little bumpy road to reach the fort our experience was awesome beautiful place excellent ambience superbb food and a very good hospitality if the staff
For a day picnic ok . Bit costly for the experience. Food is just ok. Service at the restaurant is not upto the mark.
Always a great experience to be here. All elements of a royal feeling make it a great outing. A grand welcome, Zipline, lake, temple, fort, grand lawns etc. add to the experience. Ghazal night and great food at the restaurant make it a great dining experience too. Superb choice for a corporate / family outing
Stayed in the rain shower room. Beautiful ambience, great food & an amazing room.
Great Place.Real experience of staying in A FORT With all amenities.Spacious rooms...
Great Food, Gardens , Hill trek, Museum..
Not worth the money rooms have leakage no good ventilation inside room windows missing.closed walls
It was a very nice experience, I visited Jadhav gadh on my father's birthday with family. It's a clean, well maintained and historical place. I didn't stay here but looking forward to it. Food was good too. In a group, one can play football, Holly ball, badminton etc. There is also a very nice peaceful Ganesh mandir, There is very nice swimming pool. Place has two hotels and a museum.
Ancient fort modified to a picnic spot, all natural surroundings, greenery, birds, museum, etc. Loved it
Nice place with a beautiful museum inside, don't miss the opportunity to visit here. Food and service is excellent. They welcome you with drum and tutari.... awesome!!
Though fort is in good shape and maintain, charges and food at the restaurant are very highly priced. Not worth.
Senior Citizens and physically challenged persons will find this very exhausting
Feel like Gadh, open space, Tasty Food & Relax in AC Rooms, i enjoyed one of my Family Wedding Ceremony over there
Very nice place for family as there are provision for family enjoyment and many other kinds of extracurricular activities for all kind of age people for example a restaurant/hotel and historic places to visit in fort itself and a ground or park for family to hangout. As per my experience a must visit place for one day weekend gateway if searching for any place in pune or near Pune city.
A little commercialised. But ok for a half day outing.
Nice resort with feel of heritage culture from great maratha times. Historical palace modified into resort now. Food was also good. Specious garden for outdoor games. Ganesha temple inside the fort.
Very very expensive, the staff is very irresponsible. Buffet costs 1000 rs per person. The fort is well preserved. The fort is not historically significant that is why it has become a commercialized hotel. Overall it is a place for tourists.
Amazing place.. Superb revamp.. But the food in the restaurant "Chajja" is really bad and pathetic.. it needs to improve on food.. also as a resort it needs to improve on its service.. overall it's an amazing experience with the additional trek that they offer.. Everything else scores good apart from service and restaurant
A very nice place to spend 1-2 days time. It used to be a fort which has now been converted to a resort and is very well maintained.
Nice place for one day trip. Food is great friendly staff the most important museum must watch!
I attended a wedding there and it was BEAUTIFUL! EVERYTHING THE STAFF THE AMBIENCE FOOD ARRANGEMENTS!
JadhavGADH fort is one of the best place to visit when you are in Pune. It is on the outskirts of Pune. There are several options to be while visiting the fort. You can stay here or you can spend you entire day exploring the fort. They have several packages to choose. You can explore the place by paying a fees of 500 per person. This comes with a listening device which you can play by pressing the number displayed on the location. The entrance is grand & you are welcomed by Tutari a horn wind instrument. There are around 27 location points where you can get information from the audio listening device. Fort is majestic & there is a Ganesh temple in the fort area. There are several locations such as fish pond, swimming pool, Tamarind tree etc. The best location I found was museum. While entering you have to remove your shoes & photography is prohibited. Average of 4-5 hours you can spend exploring the fort. There are restaurants serving buffet & ala carte. This location could an ideal location for weddings in a historic place! Weekdays are relatively less crowded.
They have the Best Hospitality. If you like ethnic Maharashtrian feel and Food a must visit place. They have maintained Fort really well. Museum is must see. More importantly their entire staff talks in Marathi which adds in the ethnic look. In food Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream and White Sauce Pasta is too good. I also tried few of their Tandoor offerings those are worth too.
So in short you will not regret your stay.
Great experience of hospitality amid echoes of a bygone era...
Nice Fort converted into a hotel. well spread out. has a wonderful swimming pool etc.
Superb place. must visit. The food is a bit too expensive.
Great place awesome property but not maintained to its full potential and service.
Not a good place for walk in. Got to know it is better to go for a day with advance booking.
Good for a group but not for a couple. Wi-Fi shouldn't be chargable and less amenities to enjoy
We have been here for a day picnic. Reached there at 8:00, i think it was perfect time for breakfast also. Food was really awesome and served well. Audio tour is creative use of technology to help you see different points in fort. Time after lunch becomes really boring and there is not much to do. We couldn't even wait till hi-tea. I think they should arrange something where people can rest after lunch. Outdoor games can be playes if you are in group. Over all first half is worth going but no value in second half.
Beautiful, clean and historical place for weekend vacation.
Great experience.Nice service.Bad network connectivity
