Awesome view while doing fine dining. Their wine is quite good (depending on selection). The food is delicious, meat, salad and side alike. Their onion as a starter is something different but pleasant on your taste buds. B s simply knows how to char / grill or pan fry your meat - just be warned, when you ask for something well done you literally receive pieces of charcoal.

their nyphomane was a great wine when i drank it in cape town - bought 10 cases (60 bottles) from them directly and opened around 7 bottles so far out of which 5 bottles badly corked with an aweful after taste and smell - i contacted the farm and they have not responded despite 3 emails - be aware as this bitter experience tells me they are unethical, a cheating wine farm, that doesn't even have the decency to resolve the problem or respond to emails, let along take back the unopened stock i bought - a total rip off...

On top of the hill with views to die for. It was raining and so we were unfortunately unable to enjoy boule on the wooden "Champagne" deck. Wine tasting is paid for but cheap and the wines are entry-level with original naming. Friendly and attentive staff.

Situated on a picture perfect hillside, this estate offers a great variety of wines. The overall design of the area and views can trap you here for a while, but you probably wouldn t mind.

I had a great service experience, but sadly did not have time to eat here. Will definitely do so next time.

Definitely check out their bathroom, what a view

La Vierge offers a variety of white and red wines as well as wine tasting with a fantastic view. You can also play some bowls while enjoying the view. They have a full restaurant if you want a more substantial meal or if you just want to enjoy your wine with some snacks they offer some mixed platter options.

Beautiful wines... Never knew about this wine brand before having it at a wine and food paring. Liezl was super passionate and helpful with the history. Very excited to have found this wine.

We have enjoyed the wines for some time and decided to visit for lunch. Sadly experience was thoroughly mediocre, we were greeted by a staff member that clearly treats customers with contempt and should not be in the service industry at all (fortunately our waitress was very pleasant and efficient) The starters were good but the mains including the sirloin steak were sub par. All steaks are smothered with sweet bbq sauce as standard, pre made frozen french fries, and the line fish very overpriced. All in all quality not in line with pricing... La Vierge has some great accessible Pinot Noirs but best skip the restaurant.

Very nice view! The food in the restaurant was very good, if not outstanding.
What bothered us was that we were told at the restaurant that the tasting can not be done in combination with the lunch. However, when we finished with lunch, the tasting would have been in the same room. This concept must be reconsidered in any case. That just does not make sense to me. Smiling we moved on to another winery, where we also got a great selection of wines presented.

The place has an amazing view, however unfortunately today was not their day. We were seated and then had to wait nearly 10 minutes to have any service. The waitress then took the orders from the one side of the table and then walked away and did not take any orders from the other side. We then had to call her back to take the rest of the orders. The one side of the table then got their food after 20 minutes and the other side waited more than 45 mins for a cheese board. The cheese board was great but a complete rip off for R185. When we were paying for the bill, the waitress put the incorrect amount into the card machine 3 times, each time adding more then R1000 to what was being asked.

Secluded vineyard. Far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Ask for their wine tasting package. They have a good collection of wines. And later you can enjoy their delicious meal over Italian cuisine. Not to forget the thin crust pizza and the creamy Alfredo pasta. And as they claim, a party without dessert is just a meeting, so not to forget to relish upon their creme brulee! If you have got a sweet tooth, you cannot stop having just one.

Platters are quite pricey.

The view on the outside deck is amazing!
On a good day, you can see all the way to the ocean!

Ate our best-tasting meal at this restaurant and winery across our 2-week holiday in South Africa. Their innovative menu was wonderful. It has modern and traditional elements. Their wines are very nice too. While you might visit other wineries in this valley, make sure you eat a meal at this one.
