5 stars to Mr.Kamath for converting a fort to a unique hotel. We have had good experinces here with family. The balcony seating next to restaurant is awesome place to relax. Food is good. The swimming pool built around the neem trees is just beautiful ! Has spa facility also.

Ambience and maintenance is great.Welcomed by DHOL and welcome drink for all.Audio tour is good and informative which takes 45-60mins and tour is nicely marked all over the fort and museum for self navigation. Even kids will enjoy as audio tour is available in hindi and English. Food is a buffet with veg and non veg food and live music. Live music is very serene. Property is very well kept and well maintained heritage site.

We went there during monsoon season. Place looked beautiful. Road to get there is horrible. If you are charging your customers tons of money then spend some to build a decent road. We didn t stay overnight but I doubt I would stay here. The rooms looked like hostel rooms with nothing much to do. A day trip is better option. It s not organized properly and it feels like various activities are slapped together. We ate at payatha restaurant which was awesome. Good food with lot of options. Mutton and bhakari was the best. There were so many dessert options that I could not make up my mind and didn t try most of them. Service at payatha was good. Apart from this restaurant everything else is just meh. We did couple of activities like zip line, shooting and archery. Zip line was fun but gun for shooting was a joke. I had a better gun when I was a kid. Arrows for archery was in really bad shape. Half of them were falling apart. We paid for everyone in our group but only few of us tried these activities because of state of their equipment.
The fort itself is a joke. It s not a fort but glorified hostel. It does have a swimming pool which seemed nice. Since it was monsoon the view from fort was good but I can imagine how it would look rest of the year.
Restroom near museum was clean enough. Saw an employee came inside restroom, did what he came for and left without washing his hands. I hope he was not working at one of the restaurants.
For the cost and lack of things to do I would not spend more than few hrs here. Food at Payatha was saving grace which will make me come again.

Exit from the highway to move towards the location is a bit confusing and road is bad. Drive slow till you reach the fort.

It's an amazing resort. Although it's a bit far from City but that's a necessity to get away from all hustle and bustle. They welcome you with utmost hospitality, provide you welocme drinks and a hell lot of variety of breakfast. Yes you read it right. Huge list of breakfast menu. They had methi parathe, live counter for dosa and eggs, cereals, bread. In other words they had everything.
The day activities were also good, they had options for badminton, cricket, football, volleyball over a spacious environment.
No doubts for lunch as it was also good.
In the evening they also have some team activities which are really fun.

The amenities are not so great. The upkeep of the property needs more attention. There are normal brick and mortar rooms in addition to wooden rooms and tents. Tents are good but the beds are small queen size ones. The bathrooms in the tents are the worst, not at all great. They need to be improved and looked into. An old Ganesh temple is within the premises and adds to the aura of the place. Small pond within the Fort premises is a pleasant surprise. Good property which can become excellent if the management desires so.
Another aspect that needs attention is the condition of the approach road from the main Saswad road is so bad that you feel you bones will come apart. Overall a good place to visit on a weekend. The tariff at least the rack rates are extreme steep not commensurate with the facilities and amenities on offer.

This is a good place for a brunch. Paytha restaurant and activities in the fort area are recommended. Don't visit in monsoon as there's nothing you can do when it's raining. One night stay recommended if you are travelling from far... Not otherwise.

Buffet is worst. Can go one time but don't make much expectations. I felt somewhat costly. ( Water bottle cost RS 66/-). Honest review not the value for money . Two star for Nature view and ambiance.

Excellent place to spend a weekend with the family.. The staff are very helpful and friendly...the Gardeners are super good..they took us to the organic garden and shared excellent tips on how to grow and nurture plants in city conditions...They definitely piqued the interest of my 5 year old son in gardening. the food is a bit expensive and is not very special. The rooms are nice and clean...great place to spend a weekend.

We attended a family wedding reception at the fort Jadhavgadh. It was a magnificent affair hosted over 3 days. The property from Kamat Hotels is about a 1 hour drive away from Pune city. The route on the highway itself is ok given the condition of the city roads, but the last couple of kilometres once you turn off the highway are horrible. The tarmac is totally damaged and heavy ruts and potholes make driving comfort non existent.
Once you reach the hotel you cannot but be impressed by the massive fort rising over the horizon. Guests once they disembark from their vehicle face a long steep climb to the main entrance of the hotel.
The Ganesha temple/ gardens can be accessed through the hotel or there is a separate drivable route which brings the guests directly to the event venue.
There are several options on the rooms with different tariffs and they are very comfortable.
There is an "Aayee" museum also on the property which is very well enclosed in a traditional heritage house. The exhibits have been personally collected by Mr. Vittal Kamath and the custodian ( He calls himself Munshi) of the museum gives a very nice tour of the entire museum giving the background history of each exhibit.
You can visit this hotel if you have planned for a totally relaxed holiday to commune with nature. Being totally away from the city, there is nothing else to do.

A nice and relaxing way to spend the day at fort jadhavgarh. They have day packages which includes some activities and lunch .
We also visited the museum. There is a guide who explains the artifacts in the museum and it's uses.
The road to reach the fort is a bit bumpy. Once you reach you are greeted at the entrance with a tutari(horn). Food is good.

Went there for dinner. The way they welcome you at fort, starts making you feel like royal. In Payatha restaurant, only buffet was being served. So i skipped that one and went for Chajja restaurant. The stone stairs gives the ancient look to the fort and also the stone walls. Once we enter Chajja restaurant, we saw the ambience of place was quite great. Then we asked for balcony(Chajja) seating. After waiting like 2 minutes we got the seating. The food was super delicious and service was also quite good. Even the pool in the fort was quite awesome. Simple loved it there. Would love to visit againt.

It is a very Serene place just outside Pune. From Fursungi is it just 45 minutes away. There aren't any big banners so do keep your Google maps on to guide you. It is a very small fort which had been renovated and converted into a hotel. There isn't much to see but the property is very clean and they have some games like archery, shooting, Zipline etc. Food is also good but very expensive.

I stayed at Tant room, water was leaking from the bathroom(due to the way it construct) - hotel staff should work on that! Otherwise it was good. Food was very delicious (but over-rated). Pros: Swimming pool is well maintained. Can go for trekking too from the fort. Audio tour was the nice concept to know history of the fort. Cons: Not worth the money. Charges of stay and food are very high.

All was good but not as we expected it to be. Food was below standards. Whole day picnic experience was nice but was over priced. Tea was included in our package and they didn't started serving it even after 30-35 mins of scheduled time. It was getting late so finally we had to leave.

It maybe a good place for a weekend stay but we were here on a tour from our college and the experience wasn't very good,
We were kinda rushed through the entire tour and also the quality of the food was very pathetic,
The kitchen department literally put water in the gravy as it wasn't meeting our requirements and we were given a below average service in terms of comparison to other 5 star hotels.
The basic standards which should've been met by any five Star hotel weren't seen here.
I wouldn't recommend people to go for single day tours here
Well the place is fantastic.
Well the place is fantastic.
View from place overlooking hills is fantastic.
Restraunt sevice is slow.
I felt buffet was overpriced.
Audio tour was good.
Best thing is Aai Museum.
Tukaramji guide is best.
Don't miss that.
Wonderful heritage property! Very nice concept!
Wonderful heritage property! Very nice concept!
However, the approach road is unbearably unbelievably horrible! A small kuchcha road leads to the fort! Couldn't believe had to enquire to ensure we were on the right path!
Next ,were the steps leading up to the resort!
It was a nightmare climbing up and down the huge steps which were also slippery!
There's also a disclaimer at the beginning of the steps that the fort has been restored on an as on basis and authenticity is retained,so for any accidents the management is not responsible!!!
So break your bones climbing up and down, slipping down at your own risk!!
Well next time I will want to excuse myself off any event at the fort!
Food was better from a home chef that we had last few days than at the rustic fort!!
All in all a not so great experience...
More pictures tomorrow.... another visit to the fort tomorrow!! Wish me luck!
