Amazing heritage resort. Great staff.. lots of activities and special mention for the tasty maharashtrian food. Must visit.
good place
but most expensive
Good place to find peace and good food. Nearby to Pune hence much of traffic can be avoided.
Still more for the administration to improve of some tour points.
Good People Good service tasty food Amazing location
My family and 3 other families visited jadhavgadh on 21 jul'13. We were 12 of us and reached there around 12 noon after visiting Purandar Fort. The location is exquisite and it was a wonderful experience overall. The property is vast with very good landscaped open areas all around. The best part is that the old rustic charm of the fort is preserved
very well even in the new additions. On the flip side, the waiting for lunch was too long (a good 1 hour). All in all, it is a good place for a day outing. One suggestion for the management is that the south side maintenance area should be properly cordoned off from view of the visitors as it is an eyesore compared to the beautifully landscaped open spaces.
Filling cool in side Fort , Kept clean and nice rooms...!!
Recently visited with colleagues as part of team outing. The place is nice, quite outside Pune city. It's just a hotel+ lawn typo package, in which they tried Marathi cultural and historical touch. Nice try by the way. But need lot of things to improve. Along with food, they provides playground and games for entertainment.
This fort is of great historical significance for the Maratha emperor, Chhatrapati Shivaji during the 18th century which has been converted to an upscale hotel. A great picnic spot with all the facilities including a spa, swimming pool, etc. As the visitors enter, they are welcomed with a traditional"tuturi" and a tilak on the forehead.the highlight and the lowlight at the same time was the restaurant "dungeons" one of the finest Maratha food I've had, upto the mark preparation 10/10. While the only drawback was extremely poor service, each dish took minimum 40 minutes, we were not attended by the waiters more than often, definitely need improvement on that end.Apart from that there is a museum of 3 floors displaying all the artefacts neatly from the emperor's era from combs to beetle nut boxes, it covered most of the daily life style of the people of that era.Right outside the museum there are activities-pottery lessons, tattoo/mehndi and a ring game absolutely free of cost.
Well maintain fort who is converted in to Hotel . All amenities are up to the standard and worth to stay and enjoy .
For us as we are in a group they provide show in which they perform with different weapons , that was very good and worth enjoying .
Fort it was,
A little different experience
Tukaram the guide in Museum entertained us the most..
I have never been so much interested in history and museums but my interest were invented with meeting Tukaram this time
Hotel stay was good
Breakfast was good .
Only the hotel was shabby since, there was a wedding and all the swimming pool lawn area etc etc were not available or may be I say were not worth using
Gulli Danda other games were not available because of marriage
A suggestion for the management, if you give hotel for weddings give them all the room as compulsion so there is no compromise in Guests and facilities etc.. etc..
Nice place to visit...!
mindblowing food..!
a place which reminds us about our history...!
and most important thing is the hirtorical info given by Mr.Sanjay (HR) & Appa (s.guard)
Best place away from the city. Relax with your family and loved ones for a great weekend.
Extended my stay by 1 night.. just relaxed and ate good food on offer..
Great place to spend a few hours on a tour and get lunch. Food was fantastic and the fort is worth seeing.
In Love with this place.. visited it after almost 2 years and still got the same warmth... Amazing experience and would always love to come and visit again
The people were very dominating and it is a facade , what they show on website vs what the reality is. Dont fall for it
Service is excellent and so is the experience ! Must visit !
Superb place to be with family and friends can have a great holiday...
This is the 1st fort I have visited being in Pune for so long .
It's a very well maintained fort . You will love this palce .quite silent and free from crowd.
We visited place around 11am and left at 5.30.
Taste of food is awesome. Navigation system with audio devise is also cool .
Located at the outskirts of Pune, it's a nice, quiet and a historic property. The staff is friendly and the food is good. It would be a superb place to visit during or after the monsoons.
Very well maintained fort converted into hotel.. Must visit for special occasions stay. If you want to take break from regular rush of your routine, this is a place with royal treatment and silent environment.
Food ok. Ambience great. Bit expensive but it's fort experience.
Very nice place. Got to see this place cz of my sisters study tour and I am glad that I visited this place. Way to this place is not that good but once you enter the place it is proper fort feeling and resort is cool.
Although I think it's a bit costly but it would be a good experience.
I love this place. It s just awesome. Basically it s a Fort, so once you entered into this place you will get the feel of All the beautiful traditional things right from the welcome to check out. The food is amazing and so are the Rooms, Staff is polite and you will get the pick up and drop facility from Airport to Fort and Fort To Airport.
If you want to make your wedding a special one or you want give it a look of a Traditional Weddings Of Kings & Queens Of The History Then This Is By Far The Best Place Near Pune.
Must Visit Guys And Experience The Beauty Of Fort Jadhavgadh
A place to showcase traditional Marathi culture. Marathi songs are playing in the background.
Great place, amazing welcome!
Food's slightly spicy(if you like spicy food, you would love it). It's a great place for a weekend getaway!
Amazing ambiance with great facility a must visit spot
Nice place for a family wedding, get together .
Pretty steep for older folk bit they help with hand palki to transport. But it is a chore.
Guys take some flat slippers and walking shoes for the morning trek near by.
Food was good but repetitive. Could improve. Not much choice for lactose intolerant. No non dairy options on food and none in desserts for people who have milk allergy
Helpful staff,
but cleanliness can improve.
The approach to the fort can be maintained by the the fort and recycling of paper, plastic and dry items and wet food should be done in every room and at the dinner party areas.
I travelled to Fort Jadhavgadh for a quick weekend getaway with family. On the outset, it's quite a calm place around 20 KM from city center. If you are coming from the far side of the city, it will be a couple of hours drive. It's a Fort which was used for storage purposes in the 1700s which is converted to a resort.
Facilities are quite decent here, with a very nice lawn where you can play (mini) cricket / football, volleyball etc.
The staff are really friendly and helpful.
There's a pool, which is not too big and definitely did nothing feel like was a temperature controlled one as claimed by the resort. They do provide towels, but everything else for a good time I'm the Pool has to be carried.
Food is really tastey, but heavily overpriced. A lunch with a soup and a couple of main course cost 3 grand. The dinner/breakfast buffet is also really good, again the price being on the higher side.
Rooms are large, comfortable beds and the highlight is the open rain shower.
It can be a bit more cleaner, and we found a centipede lurking around in the room. Room prices are also a bit on the higher side given what's on offer.
It's a decent getaway, with a slightly higher price tag. Would give it a 4 star, but reducing because of the price tag..
Amazing place for a day out with family. Enjoy the lovely PUNE weather and lively food at the restaurent.
Gives a good view of Maratha legacy at the museum. Worth visiting.
One of a kind property. Not your regular weekend getaway destination but an exquisite blend of heritage into modernity.
Highly recommended!
Costlier compared to facilities available. Approach road from highway is so horrible, does not look we are heading to heritage property. Foodi offered is only 2.5 star. Rs 2000 package for day tour is too much. Compare it with Imagica Rs 900 is more worth. Efforts taken by Mr Kamat to restore fort is appreciable. Swimming pool is nice .food is average. Worth visiting this historic place, but only for 1 day.
Nice place...good rooms ...can enjoy with family n friends
Brilliant stay and food is very tasty. Offbeat hotel and good experience
This Luxurious hotel is based above the dive ghat near Pune(close to Hadapsar). People are having myths that this place cost a lot of bucks to just enter here. But that's not true at all. There are various adventurous activities held here like river crossing, morning small trek, Rifle shooting. This place is very environment friendly and has two restaurants which of one is a cafe and other is dinning. Buffets can be booked online. Has a jadhavghadh historical trip which is charged for some 1-2 thousand bucks. Do visit this amazing place. It's a weekend gateway!
Good place to visit in groups.. historical and nice museum..
Good place to visit with family, view is good, food is ok ok. Overall 3.5/5
It's a really nice place to go on a weekend.. good ambience n good food.. I loved the welcome kamat group has done an excellent job in converting the fort into a hotel
Good destination for one day trip from Pune. You would need to take your cab here. I didn't find any local transport facility available. Food was alright. Welcome at the gate was good. Entertainment vise the singer was excellent.
A great historical place.Well planned and great ambeience.Tasty and classy food.
Waited long for photographer but he didn't came as we r senior citizens n not good experience
Too costly. Road to reach fort is in very bad condition.Last kilometer to reach fort is terrible.
An amazing place to visit. I would recommend staying there for at least 2 nights to get the most out of it.
Awesome historical place to hang out with family. Connectivity road from main road to Fort is not that good but once you reach fort, you will be surprised to get a historical maharaja's welcome.
Take a tour of fort with audio tour guidance, if you wish u can stay overnight, they offer nice rooms, spa, maharaja's swimming pool, big garden and ground with sports like tennis, football, shooting etc.
One guy imitates peacock and other birds sounds is an attraction. Make village style mud pot, kids can paint clays and lot more.
Good variety of starters, dishes, desserts.
Visit museum in the fort to see lot of ancient items.
Visited this place for the New Year Eva.. arrangements were good..Nice ambience and good food.
Its a heritage property, planned well compared to limitation as its a old castle, location is closer to Pune, breakfast spread is excellent, BUT
1) Rooms are not upto 3 star hotel rooms charges expensive to standard, bathroom need upgradation
2) Buffet spread is not at all worth for 835/- per person ,with just one veg sabzi goes with rotis rest 2 veg sabzi menus are pasta & stir fry veg.
3) Room service is extreme slow, Very little staff to manage room services
4) No valet service in late evening
Place is not worth the room charges.
Amazing place with excellent views. Food was not as expected from a place of such repute.
Not worth to travel this much. Food is over priced.
Stay a day to experience the complete beauty of this place.
It's a very beautyfull place nice view service also very good staff is very well
Great place with excellent views. Rooms were spacious and clean. Grounds were well kept. Stayed overnight for a wedding. Food was excellent and the pool was really nice. Great place to host events.
Awesome place to enjoy weekend, very expensive but good relaxing place.
A nice and maintained fort. The dinner is served with delicious food and instrumental music adds one more star to it's soothing and calm atmosphere.
Nice place for a break. Had lunch and it was a nice experience.
Lovely historical place...found the sound tour to be a little on the expensive side. Lovely ambience and the museum is good
