Large store across two floors with lots of collect...

Large store across two floors with lots of collectables on display in cabinets which for those interested creates a really nice place to visit for all things comics, movies, TV and games. The comics, graphic novels, fantasy books etc are located downstairs and they have a very large selection of signed editions. I cannot fault the content or layout of the store but the staff seem to be the stereotypical young, without social skills or knowledge. This isn't necessarily the worst thing as they weren't rude but when the nature of items means you can be spending a decent amount of money there it wouldn't hurt to have the sales team know what is going on and not feel like they're only there to put sales through the till a simple question about a book being in-stock left one of them asking for help and then a manager for another equally general question. Overall great store that's worth a visit though.

It's like a museum, but you can BUY THE EXHIBITS. It's honestly probly better than the V&A. Though if I were to criticise one thing, whoever buys the stock has really drunk the Funko Pop koolaid recently and half the shop are those cute vinyl figures. Still, I bought a Zapp Branigan one the last time I was in there, so maybe they're right.

Attended a Pusheen Party event. The store is big split on 2 levels with a wide selection of collectibles, models, tshirts and other fan merch on the top floor and comics, graphic novels, board games and books on the lower floor. Staff friendly and helpful. The Pusheen event was well run and very popular. They had a good range of Pusheen merch available with a quiz, colouring, facepainting and raffle. It was so well attended, that the store capacity was reached and did get very, very busy. Non-event days are busy but not packed to the rafters with people busy.

I hadn't been to Forbidden Planet for a long while and found it interesting that the layout had changed from comics on the main floor and other items on the lower ground floor to the other way around, also it seemed like there were less comics, still plenty but less than my last visit. There were no queues to get in, we went on a week day and shortly after it opened, there was hand sanitiser at the entrance, there were a few people inside, it has a one way system and every one was following this, the general layout was good and they've got a lot of stock and there were staff in various points throughout the store.

Best geek/nerd shop in the world. It is worth visiting even when not a comic or fantasy/sci-fi tv series fan. Tons of memorabilia and merchandise. World Class presentation. See you there.

Great place for anyone interested in pop culture, geek culture and all things sci-fi and fantasy. Huge selection of comics, tabletop games, art books, mangas, blu rays and DVDs, as well as other brand merchandise. Staff are all friendly and indeed knowledgeable; they're always happy to have a chat. Definitely recommended for anyone with geeky interests passing through the area or in London for a holiday

All you could wish for in a shop specifically for the geek in all of us.

Wheelchair accessible for comics and books downstairs..can get crowded as it is a tourist hotspot, but no trip to London for Nerds and Geeks is complete without a trip to Forbidden Planet

Absolutely huge collection of manga downstairs, probably the largest amount in the Uk at least. The 3 for 2 offer on books is still going and makes it worthwhile shopping here compared to online prices.

Buzzy specialist games, comics, graphic novels, collectors figures and movie/ anime memorabilia store. Still surviving and thriving on its original site for over forty years. That's quite a record when businesses all around are either going to the wall or moving premises. It's a much requested stop on any tourist trail of the west end across the last three generations. You can gawk at mega priced Dr Who/ Alien/ Star Wars/ Star Trek/ Lord of the Rings/and Transformers collectable figures in double sided glass cases, buy pocket money surprise bags, posters and then go downstairs to find games, Yu-Gi-Oh card decks and books you won't find in places like Waterstones and Foyles. My one criticism is there's no where to sit to take the load off your feet when your companions are still browsing.

I love this place. If you're just visiting London and you are a comic or movie fan you have to pop into Forbidden Planet.

There's a huge selection of books, comics, graphic novels and related memorabilia. Prices are a little steep, books tend to carry the RRP. But this is no different to other book stores. If you're a student, be sure to take your ID with you to secure a 10% discount.

Staff on the most part are friendly and helpful.

This two-storey, one-quarter store is a treasure trove of standard derivatives, movies, video games, comics and manga. What delight everyone with eyes and taste of the imagination.

You will find for example many Art Book of Studio Ghibli films, the magazines on Star Trek or Doctor Who, but also Oyster Card doors in the colors of your favorite Superhero or the 4 houses of Harry Potter.

Amazing place, where I always lose track of time! All kinds of things to satisfy your geeky hobbies. Science fiction books, manga, comics, graphic novels, collectibles, souvenirs from your favourite movies and shows. Absolutely gorgeous action figures and small statues collections (always updated according to the trends), which are really expensive, so I am just enjoy looking at them...There are always signing events going on and rare issues are available. I like how the staff and the store management really cares about what they are doing. It is seen in every small detail there.
