My son has just completed French 2 with Ms. Karen Perlongo (flvs). My son and I value and appreciate Ms. Perlongo. She is a wonderful teacher, truly one of the best! Throughout the duration of this class she's been very dedicated, professional and always was very encouraging and patient with my son. The one on one interaction and the support she provided is just amazing. I wish all teachers were as dedicated and knowledgeable as her! Most often parents tend to rush to write complaints and tend to forget to write when a teacher does a good job. I am writing to commend Ms. Perlongo for being an outstanding teacher!

The first segment was a nightmare.I did the United States History Honors. Flvs lost 2 chapters of my work and said that I had never even completed it. There was a lot of havoc in my family because of Florida virtual school. There was also a teacher changeover... but I wasn't told about it so I was very confused about it. The second segment was a little bit better, however. My teacher was so caring and nice... in fact, I think that the teacher was the best part of the whole course and experience. I also do not feel that I learned a thing from this course. All in all, I do not recommend online courses to people that have ADHD or are not motivated.

My teacher Miss Brown is nice but her class is not my favorite I am at a public school taking this class and it can be stressful even though I am the fartist in my class. I don't like how off the tests are from the lesson that's why i did not give it a 5 star rating.

I love FLVS! I am a full-time student that began when I transitioned into high school. The staff genuinely seem to love their jobs and it is very refreshing. Not to mention, they always aim for the overall success of their students! Everyone is so helpful and it truly is convenient to be able to ask questions whenever. If you are a student who enjoys working ahead or at a normal pace, I wholeheartedly recommend FLVS, however, if you're a slacker, maybe try to put more effort towards school before leaving a bad review. Many parents are concerned that their child will not make any friends, but this really isn't the case! FLVS has tons of clubs and meet-up opportunities. If the attempt is made, then they more than likely will come out successful. Also, there are so many scholarship opportunities! More proof of them wanting you to succeed. Furthermore, a lot seem to think that the workload is too much. I agree, it can be intimidating at first, but it just takes a little while to adjust! Students who aren't with FLVS are not used to having their workload laid out in front of them, so yes, of course, they're going to complain, but they shouldn't give up so easily! They don't overwork us, I promise! I do not understand where all of these bad reviews are coming from; every student I have talked to adores FLVS and wouldn't even consider going back. Take the time to learn more about FLVS, you won't regret it!
"I have ease navigating the courses. The assignments assigned with lessons are well-written and if you understand the information, you understand the assignment. If you don't understand, I love how FLVS gives us more resources to learn. When I'm confused, I can attend live lessons or schedule a one-on-one tutoring lesson. There are guided notes for all my courses and numerous help videos. If I'm still confused after using all of those resources, I can contact my teachers again and they are there to help me understand the topics."

This program is not student/user friendly, having to call a teacher during my school hours is inconvenient, and overall it's a pointless idea that cost my parents a lot of money. And because this company replies to almost every review, NO I don't need your "help" and YES I have talked to my school counselor. This is a big ass cloud above my head that has made my anxiety even worse, a month before Im supposed to graduate high school.

If you have little kids close in age don't do it it's too much work per child and they don't combined lessons. If your child is older or spaced out in age it's more do able. I prefer parents to have a laptop because you would get depressed being home all day. Not very resourceful if your child has a learning disability they just think you're not trying hard enough.

This is my daughter's 3rd course with FLVS. She is a full time student at a regular high school and takes FLVS to get ahead with credits. One of the teachers, the Spanish teacher, was outstanding! We both really loved him! The other teachers, just not so sure. The DBAs stress my daughter out. I don't understand the purpose of a DBA for a History class. Seems a waste of time, which might better be used doing a small research assignment. The whole point of her taking this class online was so she could work quietly at home. Communication to parents from teachers isn't always reliable. I called the teacher to ask a question and was informed my daughter had been called about missing work. Why didn't the teacher email me, the parent? Another thing is that the teachers are "out of the office" for a week at a time or more and I can't keep up with the schedule. It seems random. My daughter started off the year with a very nice History teacher, and has been reassigned because this teacher left. I don't like the inconsistency.

It's easy and convenient at first, but becomes a giant burden if you aren't working on it full time or if you lose interest in your class. The recording feature is a hassle too, in 2 years I've only gotten it to work well on the first time once. The teachers also tend to forget that many of the students also have school and school homework and that gets really annoying, especially if you have AP classes that eat up your extra time like I do. I wouldn't recommend it as a first option for someone. Please be cautious when entering. It's pretty easy to use and learn, but it gets annoying after a while. If you're planning on doing language classes, PLEASE start early like in 9th or 10th! I started in 11th and I'm struggling to finish French 2 on time due to unforeseen circumstances.

I have very much enjoyed my time here at FLVS. although it might be very very hard, however that doesn't mean everything in life will be easy and satisfying. unless you want to work at McDonalds you are going to have to work hard for it. nothing is easy if you think it is hard suck it up and deal with it.

so i was a 10th grade student a couple months ago and i will tell everyone about FLVS. The first time i went to the school to get my classes up and in the first 20 minutes the guidence counsler told me that i was going to fail and everything started out fine but after a week i was drowning in work and before i went here i was almost always a straight A student. But after trying my hardest to keep up i started getting C's and D's. DO NOT listen to the work at your own pace you have to turn in a lot of work for week to even stay enrolled in the classes and the teachers are garbage and not helpful. Now the courses are a whole other story they are designed by middle schoolers. They dont explain the test material and are not organised for a effective study. I cannot think of anyway i can say something nice except for a few teacher that went above and did whatever they could to help
Ms sittig Ms schaub and Ms gonzalez
now i dont think for any parents should they dont have to go through all the bullshit of this school.
So I see a lot of parent reviews, but I'm a studen...
So I see a lot of parent reviews, but I'm a student, and I would like to give some first hand account on my FLVS experience. I started FLVS Flex over 2 years ago due to extracurricular activities taking up a lot of my school time. My personal opinion is that any student who doesn't strive in FLVS, is simply because they are not on top of their education as much as they should be. I've taken many classes, and of course every teacher is different, but they all treat you fairly, they grade your work in a timely manner, and personally, they respond communication back very quickly. Most of them, will even reply to me during the weekend. I've had math teachers that have sat with me for as long as necessary in a whiteboard to explain a certain concept I didn't understand.
That said, the truth is, teachers have many students, and just like in regular school, it is your responsibility to stay on top of your work and school track. If you don't understand something, don't just take the test, fail, and blame it on the curriculum or the teacher. You have ENDLESS resources available - and speaking of the curriculum, if you a actually dedicate the time you should to reading the material, it should be pretty straight forward. No, nothing is "dumbed down", you do need to study and read a lot. Its pretty easy to get lost in course material, but like I said, you need to make the time that is realistic for a given lesson.
Yes, sometimes the essays will take 2 or 3 days to come back graded, but in public, they'll take a week... or longer. These teachers are not robots! I saw someone around here say that their teacher took a month to grade an assignment. I've had MANY teachers and that's never happened to me, but then again, I check my grade book every time I login to the class and call/text them if I see something is wrong. COMMUNICATION IS KEY.
In between a busy schedule, sometimes being in different time zones, my teachers would make accommodations to complete monthly calls etc. What I love is that no matter where you are, all you need is your laptop and and internet connection. I've done school in my room, backyard, a plane, airports and countless other places.
Recently, I fell very sick, and with the help of my teachers, I accommodated school in between months of hospital visits, appointments, surgeries and much more.
In a nutshell, with FLVS you are the one who defines your experience. I have friends, also in FLVS, who don't login for weeks at a time, submit work whenever they want and don't even look at the lessons. Then they blame their teachers ... the same thing happens in public school.
Anyways - I was actually trying to login to my course and came upon these reviews. I'll get back to my work now. Hope this helps somebody!

Dry curriculum.. make sure your printer has ink you ll be printing out a bunch of useless papers that will eventually get tossed. Expecting a second grader to type in Microsoft word style text box to explain how he got a answer... That s only the beginning. We are remote learning due to COVID and this was the district s choice.

I think most of the student feedback given has not been fair, most students complain about being kicked out but don't understand because of how funding works at the state level, FLVS has to require a minimum amount of assignments turned in. I have enjoyed FLVS a lot, it has allowed me to master subjects like World History and gives me the ability to take on harder classes for college like AP Psychology, and more. For any students looking to do FLVS I can say this, I find the lesson plans for the core classes to be good and teachers willing to offer extra help when needed it. As long as you can give 3 - 6 hours for each class a week you should have no probably being kicked out for not turning in work and be able to pass with amazing grades!

My experience with Florida Virtual School has been...
My experience with Florida Virtual School has been amazing. I suggest it for both electives and core classes. I use this as a homeschooling program it is very beneficial especially at this point in my life when things are hectic. I had complication last year (when I started home school at FLVS) but my teachers worked with me and were very patient. I am on my second year of home school with FLVS. My cousins have also used FLVS. They have been home schooled their whole life. I haven't herd a negative on it from them and I don't have anything negative to say about it. I suggest this program for anyone. Just stick to the rules, 3 assignments a week and a monthly call and it is also helpful to keep in touch with teachers even when it is not time for a monthly call. Keep yourself updated with them. Again, this is a great program for those who are good with maintaining a pace. You can access courses at anytime as long as you graduate the year you are suppose to. Good luck for all of you and I hope my review has been helpful. Thank you for your time.

Wow. I never thought I'd be writing a negative rev...
Wow. I never thought I'd be writing a negative review for this website but, here we go. NOTE. THIS IS ONLY FOR SPANISH 1. THE MATH COURSES ARE FINE. Going to a junior high school, trying to keep up with the already formidable amount of work there, AND dealing with this course is frankly insulting. Spanish is not math. Or guitar or Language arts. Writing a 10 sentence essay in a language I don't understand is not easy, nor does it teach me anything. I guarantee you, important everyday words that you'd need to write a sentence in Spanish either A, aren't in the curriculum at all or B, so far back you won't use them until the last modules, and by then you'll have forgotten them. Mrs Roche, my spanish teacher, may be the most callous uncaring person I've ever talked to. I bruised my lungs and couldn't speak for a week, WHILE moving into a brand new house and doing construction work for my father and Homework for my normal school. I explained to her why I hadn't been able to submit an assignment and all I got was. "That's not an excuse. You can find time to do it if you tried." Listen, I understand I get an allotted 50 minutes from my school to do FLVS, but 50 minutes a lot of the time aren't enough to submit a writing assignment. Then, you're being constantly rushed to finish as fast as possible. I don't have internet consistently where I live, so doing work at home is not always an option. Finally we have the lessons. The tests and the lessons are SO different from each other, it's a joke. Multiple times it will try and explain a concept such as direct object pronouns. However, it will only show ONE or TWO examples for a pronoun, when there are at least 7 different pronouns for different situations. Completely unhuman, discouraging website and course. Now most of the courses are decent, I took Pre algebra and 7th grade math in 6th grade, and it was good enough to give me a good start for algebra in 7th. But the Spanish courses are downright insufferable. Do not apply for this course. Take spanish in high school where an actual TEACHER that you see face to face, and guides you through the lesson, can help explain and tutor you through these concepts. EDIT. The reviews for this school fall into two categories. Parents, and Students. Parents, (who 99% of the time don't deal with it) will say it's fantastic. They don't have to worry about their child being bullied, have more time in their lives ect ect. Students will tell you about the utter stress and suffering the classes will give you. DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY THE 5 STAR REVIEWS. At best, such as the decent math classes such as pre algebra, it's a decent 3 start school. At worst it's simply a 1 star. I can't speak for full time enrolled students, I'm taking BOTH normal school and FLVS at the same time. Working on finishing Spanish 1 and preparing for FSA and Geometry and History EOC's is already stressful. But being CALLED DURING CLASS because I'm not working fast enough while i'm already stressed beyond belief is simply insulting. Never coming back, never should have came back. I'm a VERY smart kid, I've taken multiple courses online before and I'm currently being admitted into the AICE program, but this is simply out of my league. Getting home at 6PM and immediately having to slave away at ANOTHER set of school work, on top of my homework from my normal school, is not enjoyable rewarding life. You want to know how to fix FLVS? Simple. Get a curriculum that's not dictated by the suits in Tallahassee, get teachers who need to be held accountable for showing respect and decency and patience to their students , AND are easily contacted. Fix the terrible and clunky UI and interface that the website has, and retrofit the lessons and tests so that questions and concepts addressed in the lesson will be on the test. Finally, the end of semester exams, have the ability to take your grade, raise it in the air, and break its back on its knees like a batman comic. The biggest point out of all of those is the lessons. THINGS WE NEED TO WATCH AND READ SHOULD NOT BE IN COMPLETE SPANISH.GOD

If you think this is going to let you work at your own pace, dont take this. My school had multiple teachers quit making us take this after no one would apply. I expected to at least be able to work at my own pace and actually, I dunno, have this stuff be taught to me? But no. Half of the lessons are just "Heres a concept and a weird symbol!!!! You know it now!!!!!" It never explains anything to you. Plus, 3 assignments per week is bs, especially when youre like me and have barely enough energy to get out of bed let alone do a speedrun through assignments. And DBAs? Dont make me laugh. I and many many other people are horrible at phonecalls due to social issues that cannot be fixed, however, DBAs force you to go and call someone you barely know and tell them all of the things you've barely learned just to get a password to get you into a test. I hate this, and all the extra stress makes me want to die. DO. NOT. ENROLL.

I don't want to sound too harsh, but this experience has not been good for me. I was forced out of public school by my parents, not even for covid related reasons, just because they wanted me to try it for a year. The big problems I have are the workload and the teacher response time, Im currently 3 to 2 weeks behind In some classes, there is so much work that I can't even remember what I did in previous modules. And while I am working, if I had a question I usually don't get a response for hours or until the next day. This experience overall has made me very isolated and depressed.

I truly love flvs, it has allowed me to work at my own pace and I like the fact that I can access my coures anytime I need to study. I have anxiety disorder and school has always been a trigger for me. The teachers at flvs have been way more understanding than teachers at the public school I go too. My only complaint is the DBA's, I wish I could text my teachers instead but I understand that they can't tell it's you that way.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend FLVS. They told me ...
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend FLVS. They told me that I could follow my own pace, and I was signed up for an IPP (Individual Pace Chart). I was told that this course would be built to my needs and fit my busy schedule. That was false, I had to follow my teacher's pace. Plus my teacher was not helpful at all. I had a hard time understanding the curriculum (Granted, I was taking Spanish Online). She wasn't helpful at all. Often she wouldn't follow the rubric while grading my work, but follow her own personal agendas. I don't recommend FLVS, I would personally tell you to take Edgenuity, another more successful virtual school that is more efficient and helpful. I have taken both FLVS and Edgenuity, but I would never take FLVS again.
FLVS in a nutshell:
FLVS in a nutshell:
1. PACE IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! If the pace chart says 2 assignments a week for a 36 week course, guess how many assignments I'm going to be doing KAREN??????? THE TWO ASSIGNMENTS... don't cal me 7 times asking why I haven't turned in 6 assignments for this week smh.
2. DBA's are the WORST! Don't be fooled. Unless you want to explain in explicit detail about what you learned and how this information has changed the way you live don't take these classes!!!!
3.TEACHERS- 100% hit or miss. no in between. They can be very helpful or very breathing down your neck in a very annoying why haven't you turned in all 98 assignments in the first two weeks kind of way.
4. Dearest Tech Support, I can PROMISE you Russian hackers are not dying to break in to my flvs account, so there is NO reason for me to reset my password every 10 days. Also, HIRE MORE PEOPLE! there must be like one soul down there who shows up once a week because any time I've called its been like a 4 hour line with this God awful, earsplitting piano music. If a cat walked on top of a piano, it would compose better music than whatever you have playing.
Please don't hit me with a "wE WouLd lOvE tO tALk To yoU oN TWittEr or FaCEbooK" I don't want to talk on twitter or Facebook and neither does anyone else. Now that may be because were not Senior Citizens or purely by the fact that because we wrote a review on GOOGLE we want a RESPONSE ON GOOGLE but because we want CHANGE!!!!
Sincerely, Ashley & every other FLVS student ever.

Never had a problem. Always have had teachers that let me go as fast or as slow as I wanted, and great teachers as well. I have friends that have taken district run FLVS courses (the county/district teachers online), and they make you turn in so much more work and threaten to kick you out. It is too much for many of them with their normal high school schedules. With the FLVS teachers they seem to be more accommodating, with less of a "hurry up and finish" approach.

I honesty love the system. At my school I take 3 college classes at Hcc, and the others are the Core Classes. Flvs has allowed my to have a better high school experience, I'm taking world history to have 2 electives at school. My teacher Mr.Liles is very understand and it's not that hard. I enjoy the class and recommend Flvs for students who know how to work an online class. I've taken 3 classes so far and I'm planing on taking more.

I started Florida virtual when I was in the 11th grade . My gpa was very low but I was able to get it up to a 3.3 when I graduated from flvs. My overall experience from this school was fantastic I could tell the teachers I had really cared about my grades and did everything they could to get me on the right track to graduation . I was able to work at my own pace , and complete homework or assignments at any time as long as they got done by the end of semester. Test and assignments were even able to be redone for a higher grade up to three times! Teachers gave amazing advice on how to improve the assignment so I could fix it and get a better grade. The work load was about the same as public high school but in my opinion the teachers explained things a little bit better than my old high school teachers. I m very thankful to have graduated from this school I was even able to graduate a half of semester early by taking classes over summer through the flex program .
Thank you all the teachers and principal at flvs!

FLVS doesn't tell you what problems you got wrong, it "teaches" you things in the most confusing ways, and it doesn't help me because I read fast and end up skimming the text and forgetting most of the "Geometry" I have to learn! I asked my dad to help me with the first project and he said that most of the crap in this course is useless in the future. I mean, a compass and straightedge vs. a drawing program? The people making these standards did Geometry what, 30-50 years ago? My dad at least has a job where he does calculus all day!
I have a really bad and outdated Geometry textbook, sitting unused on a shelf that I think I can learn more from than FLVS.

I have been trying for almost 2 months now to register my children for school and cannot get a hold of anyone on the customer service numbers. I ve sent dozens upon dozens of emails and get automated responses and no answer to my questions. They were supposed to start school 4 days ago and I am still nowhere closer to being able to register them for school.

This website is terrible. Whether or not you get a good teacher is completely up to luck. The way a lot of material is written is not easy to understand; it's all very wordy and just not put into simple terms that are easy to grasp. This makes it very difficult to focus or fully learn the material. Some classes have easy but thorough assignments and some classes have extremely time-consuming and tedious assignments that require a huge amount of time and energy but don't actually teach you that much. I hate this website. I wish I hand never used it, but I had no other option.

These people dont get any worse do they? "Work at your own pace" yet they have you stuck on needing codes and having to go through so much trouble to get it done. Pure absoloute trash this system is especially to those trying to pass. Unbelievable I suggest people dont actually buy into their garbage schemes to cash money out of students failing because its exactly what florida virtual school does. Especially when they dont answer any DBA's. I hope you read this and realize how trashy your system is.

I hate this so much. My teacher would never pick up her phone, even though I would call during her hours. I tried doing a lesson and an assessment but it wouldn't submit because she never had me "officially" started (because she didn't answer her phone). Recently "withdrew" me from the course because she's "Leaving". This is Virtual School... you can work from where ever the hell you are... so honestly I don't really understand why she wouldn't bother to close her current class and just finish up with everyone who has already been signed up. Because, now it looks like I dropped the class because I failed. But I didn't fail... I wasn't even given the option to fail...
I am only taking this course because I have a requirement to take an online course to graduate. The amount of money saved in not having to hire real teachers to teach real classes could never be worth the lack of personal attention. The teachers don't really know anything about any of their students other than their name grade and school. They really don't care either.
Also the overall concept of using a computer to take a class is horrible. The idea of real people answering our questions verbally, and actually teaching us things is something you don't notice the importance of until you are forced to try to learn without those resources.
Too add on, the website looks like it was designed by a middle schooler. It doesn't really matter how many pictures of happy kids you put up on the welcome screen, virtual school really doesn't make happy kids. Taking this online course, in fact, makes me feel like someone who isn't smart enough to take courses in person.
I will stop my rant here because I know that no matter how much I type, nothing will really change.
Thanks Rick Scott.

I am currently taking chemistry honors on FLVS. Yesterday morning I submitted an assignment, no issues there. I went ahead and completed another assignment just for the sake of it. As I am getting ready to turn the assignment in it says my course has been suspended and that I need to contact my teacher. So I contact my teacher regarding this issue and she did not respond. I text her two more times and I have YET to get a response back. It has been 24 hours since I have contacted her and I have not received anything from her. All I want to do is complete my assignments but clearly I am being ignored by OWN teacher. I am highly upset.

Ms. Katz is truly a very special person, and teacher! She is always open to hearing from her students! Ms.Katz does a fabulous job with my son that is ASD. He and she enjoys their DBA conversations together. She always has nice, positive things to chat about with him. He loves telling jokes, and Ms. Katz gets a true kick out of him. We will be requesting her to teach math to our twin boys. They also enjoy hearing her calls with their brother.
Hands down she s one of your best! Please, don t ever loose her.
Fondly,
The Baublis family.

This is the worst decision i've ever made in my life!!! The teacher over the phone was most of the time rude. This online crap got my whole winter break stressed out. The only thing this class does is stresses me.

I really wish we could opt out of this program. It was chosen by our district as a virtual option. It s far too fast paced for my littles. Absolutely no scaffolding approach at the beginning of the year! ELA is by far the worse! It takes us nearly all day and still leaves us frustrated by the lack of support and explanation. The module and lessons are crammed full of information. The teachers we are assigned too feel for us, they are through dodea not flvs. This has been an awful experience. Counting down the days until we can switch back to our regular school.

I would like to send a HUGE shout-out to Mrs. Shaw, my son s Marine Science teacher. SHE IS AWESOME!! Yes, I am a FLVS instructor too (with elementary) but even if I were not, I would still send this shout-out. Thank you Mrs. Shaw for working with my son and providing fantastic feedback (even on a 67% assignment grade). You have consistently offered to help him be successful. THIS is why I love FLVS.

FLVS has expanded my mind and really has helped me understand my work a lot better. The teachers are there with you through it all and really make sure you stay on track. FLVS is the best!

We have been using FLVS Flex for two years now and my daughters and I could not be happier with the experience. The teachers are involved, understanding, flexible, and experienced in virtual platforms. The flexible schedule allows for travel, family time, and the ability for them to take their time or accelerate at the pace they show the most success with. One of my daughters is incredibly advanced, and the other struggles with Dyslexia and ADHD and both are thriving with the flexible curriculum provided far more than they did in Brick and Mortar. Virtual school may not be for everyone, but if you are looking into it for your own child I cannot recommend FLVS enough!

I have only been on it for one course, however I am iffy about certain things. So far, I have a great teacher who explains the content to me very well (through texts and emails), however trying to read the information in the modules is like trying to disable a bomb; it takes me hours on end to figure out what the text is trying to explain to me, and even then, it seems that everything on the practice exams for each chapter in each module is contradictory to what I read. To expand the simile, I only have so much time in my life to do the work on top of my IB classes and AP Euro. Most of the time, I have to even go as far as rerouting my work agenda because one assignment takes almost an entire day for me. As I'll repeat, I have a very good teacher for my course who explains everything in the course that stumps me, but the amount of effort and time it sucks out of my life is way too much to balance with the rest of my daily activities and schoolwork.
To me, the website in general seems like a labyrinth of random information; it is a giant concoction of seemingly disheveled and highly perplexing tabs. There are many critical sources which I heavily rely on such as the gradebook which I only found near the END OF MY COURSE because the teacher had to explain to me how to find it. Even then, I still thought the process of accessing it was too convoluted to figure out on my own. Such a website like this substantially requires a user-friendly system that is easy to get around, and the only thing I should have to learn and figure out on my own is the content of the courses themselves. In fact, if it is too difficult to make the process of maneuvering through this rough storm - of an educational website - easier, than you should at least present us with a separate course that teaches us how to get around on it. We, as the students and parents of students on FLVS, shouldn't have to struggle to figure out the kinks of the website in the first place.
The time limits in my course (not sure if this is universal) are utterly stern. They are also uncompromising because they don't change for seemlingly ANY SITUATION, sometimes even when the client has no time to get any work accomplished. As of this publishing, my teacher - of whom I promptly respect as a person and an educator - has told me they would shut down the entire course until I scheduled a DBA call with him, and I HAVEN'T EVEN FINISHED THE MODULE YET. Still having to learn lots of new information, I am dreading the day of the call, which I predict will not end well as a result of my poor retention of the ideas that are horribly explained through the text in each module. Another thing that really gets my goat is how ridiculous some of the assignments are. For some unknown reason, the administrators find it funny to make the amount of questions in multiple-choice assignments GREATER IN NUMBER WHEN THEY CONTAIN FRQs. So when I fail one of these, not only am I having to do over more multiple choice questions, I also have to do over entire paragraphs of writing (the questions DO CHANGE, but that is not my main point). In fact, I think combining 3 short FRQs in a MULTIPLE CHOICE test is stupid because no AP test does such a thing. Multiple choice questions SHOULD STICK TO STIMULUS QUESTIONS, SINGLE-RESPONSE, AND MULTI-RESPONSE, AND ANYTHING ELSE THAT AP FORMATS ON THEIR MULTIPLE CHOICES. I understand it is important to cover doing FRQ questions, and this course does indeed explain how to do these questions far better than anyone else has. But the combination of both forms is counter-productive, taking up an abnormal amount of time. In inspiration. An idea to consider: MAKE THE TWO THINGS SEPARATE ASSIGNMENTS!
To the people that are trying to take an online class, I do not recommend that you start with FLVS, for its organization of sources makes it abysmally confusing. The wording of certain phrases and sentences are confusing and seem to contradict what is on the tests, which makes me render most of my time. On top of that, the assignments take way too long to complete.

I recently dropped out of public schooling so that I could do virtual schooling instead. My reasoning for this is because of my social anxiety. I don't like the setting of public schools, it's just not healthy for me. I love virtual school, don't get me wrong. I love that I can pursue my education without having bad anxiety getting in the way. There's just a few things I don't like and don't make me feel comfortable. I don't like having to call my teacher. I know, it's basically a necessity, but I just really wish that wasn't something I had to do. It makes me very uncomfortable, I would feel better if I only had to email her instead of calling. Another thing I don't like, is passwords on assignments. I work at a fast pace, so when I get stuck on an assignment that requires a new password, the only way I can get it is by doing my absolute worst nightmare, calling my teacher. On behalf of myself and all the other FLVS students with this crippling fear, we ask that you please find some alternative so that we don't have to talk to our teachers through calling, and you find some way that we can still do discussion based assessments without the phone calls.

Causes alot of arguing and screaming between the family. And can be difficult to understand, but once you understand the system, you dont even need to read the assignments.
