Airline lands on time, but the airport stingy at the ground staff -> 20min wait for buses. 03.11.2018- we are already over 40 minutes on the luggage belt and the bags are just Kleckerweise.

Hamburg Airport is an absolute experience in every respect. Great people great service and wonderful shops invite you to shop. The overview of the individual terminals is primarily optimal. Good parking facilities, good bus connections and a wonderful good infrastructure of the whole picture.

The worst time to be there. Energy blackout with the airport closed and no flights arriving or departing ... Very strange story because, when we got there, the air conditioning and the lights were working. Escalators, electronic panels and elevators were also working. Stores open and we even managed to have lunch at MacDonald's! As everything was working except for departures and arrivals, for me it was a lack of information and consideration. The worst airport I went through! I hope I never need to come by again !!!!
Every year at the security check people seem to be surprised why there is such a rush at Christmas. Just learn from all the years and increase staff.

Flughafen Hamburg is the Airport in Hamburg, Germany, and it is a good Airport, the offer different types of Cuisines here, it has its charm. The staff working at Hamburg Airport are very helpful to assist all passengers when ever required, splendid indeed.

It s an easy little airport with one terminal and A-B-C main gates where each have about 10 boarding gates direct to the aircraft via bridge .

Easy going. Usually friendly staff all over the place. 10 minutes ride on tube to central train station. Moderate prices considering it's a major hub.

Landed, wait 25 minutes in the plane until a bus could get us. Then waited more than three quarters of an hour for the luggage. The luggage belt was just 7 minutes empty without the luggage came.
This airport is a disaster. Something like I would have expected at the end of the world but not in a city like Hamburg!
All other appointments of the day were gone.
So far, all flights were punctual, we are satisfied.
Except for the prices in the store, that's really awesome in the negative sense!

Today pretty empty, no chaos, no hustle and bustle, no waiting at the security check ... great ... it could always be like this.
For an international airport to keep the parking garage closed due to OVERCOLLECTION even though it was completely empty ???
Overall an okay airport. With wifi, toilets, F&b outlets and basic eateries.
A star because my father was denied the escort service on the grounds that not enough staff available !!!!! Impossible! And the man at the counter was rude and uncooperative! My father then got a luggage cart from a security employee to which he could hold on ... Luckily he found the way to the gate ...
It takes an incredibly long time for the suitcases to be packed on the belt upon arrival.
Rudeness on level USA; Security guards who are visibly enjoying their status; incredibly slow security check; bad information in general. No fluid bags freely available, but it is also not written anywhere that this is the case or where one should buy one.
Information at the gate was poor and confusing.
It's a decent place. Simple and efficient with no frills. It is very expensive though, even for airport standards, so expect to pay a premium price for small items like water or a sandwich. Good connection to the city with the metro which stops right under the terminal.

Hamburg is and remains a provincial airport: almost no operations and the plane parks at the end of the world, nobody operates the jetty and then you wait again for half an hour for your luggage. We landed last week 10:45 pm (last flight) and unfortunately could not get off because no staff was on site to assemble the stairs! Next waiting loop at the suitcase issue, waiting time 1.15 hrs. This is clearly a sign of staff shortage and here must urgently change!

Most of the staff are friendly, but if you get caught at the checkout, you're looking for any bags, Trollys on drugs, (which is fine with me and has to be that way) that's more than rude, that messes up a whole vacation ! And I fly a lot all about 5 weeks everywhere as a pensioner.
One of the best airports in Germany. Modern and well integrated with the city through the subway. The neighborhood around is great for having a nice bike ride.

For the umpteenth time and for months: Baggage claim with an eternal delay, sometimes 30, sometimes 40 minutes or even longer. Today my severely disabled son had to have this experience. What are the rivets in the airport management that can't manage to remedy this condition, which is probably even better in developing countries?

This very well, very clean, good beds, good shower and most importantly VERY VERY CLOSE TO THE TRAIN STATION AND THE AIRPORT TO 6M BY TRAIN. Normally I do not leave reviews but this Hotel deserves it, in addition to the price that is very good.
It may be good, clean, modern and what else do I know, but for me it is no longer appropriate to keep an airport that has been working at its capacity limit for years at the expense of the neighboring residents in a big city.
I am also flying from here on vacation, but I would still be in favor of relocating outside the city area.

I have had very good experiences with HAM. Checkin and security control was, despite the rush, fast and friendly. The paths are pretty short. The parking situation is actually relaxed. However, you should stick to the rules. Otherwise there is also the S-Bahn. Nice airport in the city. The residents do not find it so great!
Length registration forms for WiFi not ok today. You even have to specify the gender.
Clean, nice staff, short distances, quick security checks, good shops and restaurants, and if you calculate the North German serenity (about 30-50 minutes maximum) when returning your luggage, everything goes very well.
Conclusion: A very great airport and if you don't want to wait with your luggage you have to fly with hand luggage.
The security process is super bad. The executives certainly do what they can, but the lines and waiting times speak for themselves. At one point or another, a little bit of investment would be needed. The sanitary facilities are certainly at the bottom of the tolerance window.

Small, clean, good cafes/food if you need it, quite efficient at the checkpoints, aesthetically very pleasing terminals. Super close to the city and thanks to the new train connection very easy to get to that way as well.
Fuggin loud. A few hundred thousand people get to enjoy the sweet rumble of turbines from 6am till 11pm.

The staff just waved us through without checking any ID! The vending machine is crowded and the service staff did not feel responsible for a malfunction. Both security control and boarding were still not checked for personality! At the airport in my opinion No Go!
I found it extremely unprofessional to talk about the employer in front of the passengers and denounce his austerity policy. In addition, the behavior of the security staff towards individual passengers was extremely rude, impatient and inappropriate.
To be asked if you only speak Klingon or if you want to have the number danced was insulting. Unfortunately, the security was overwhelmed and unfriendly with the passengers, there is definitely no professional training for the passengers.

The airport is nice and clear. Only with the luggage it does not work quite so. Arrived on Saturday from Moscow after a long wait at the baggage claim, I was then able to determine that my suitcase is still in Moscow The staff at the baggage claim are very friendly, after I have described my suitcase and deposited my data was this on me Sent home Sunday. That was really fast and uncomplicated. Suitcase was well and everything still in it. Parking should not only be there for 1.5 hours. 12 euros are really too much. Toilets are not always clean and they are not new. You should change that. Otherwise, everything top plane arrived on time and I'm finally home

I like it. The lines are fast, security the same and you can even drop off your luggage by yourself. A lot of stuff are automatized.
It's also very good connected with the city center through a subway.
Airport relatively small with manageable store offer. Very well located and easily accessible. With carry-on luggage, it is also quickly through the control and it is more or less almost directly to the gates.
What an airport is like. Everything is well organized, not so long distances, what I personally don't like is that you are always fogged by a cloud of smoke at the entrance to the terminals, because the smokers are always standing in front of the door to smoke. It would be nice not to allow that there. Otherwise everything is fine.
