Modern, clean airport. Very good connection to the city.

Very crowded airport. Bit confusing. Staff is fine. Toilet not very clean.

Baggage handling is unacceptable. The waiting times are generally and far too long compared to the same size or larger airports and if you are unlucky - because responsibilities are unclear - forget the suitcase and staff still evacuated to the tape only after repeated demands of the service.

The disabled toilets are constantly defective and out of order! They were never ready for operation in Terminal 2!

Except for the toilets, which are certainly not dirty by the airport staff, everything was super !!!

No landing rights for despots!

Baggage claim takes at least 1 hour on each flight. Do not know why it goes so much faster at other airports. Since come to the tapes after the check out and already on it suitcase ... only Hamburg does not manage that

Expensive, confusing and unfriendly staff. If you did not have to fly every now and then, you would go around this airport.

My face are the staff at the hand luggage control rude and cheeky. Service is written in small here. At the luggage belt we are standing for 48 minutes !!!

The staff was very friendly, the airport is clean. We had no waiting time and I was allowed to ask for the buggy until we boarded the plane.

I pass through the airport on a regular basis and I'm not a fan. It feels dark and clinical. Security check can go either way - sometimes it takes 2 minutes and sometimes 45. Often a queue for the ladies loo. It's not a comfortable airport to wait around in. Also, they seem to have an issue with buses to bus people on and off planes here. In recent months I've sat on the plane for half an hour after landing waiting for a bus. Another time, we were delayed by 45 minutes waiting for one of these elusive buses to take us to our plane that was sitting literally 100m around the corner. The flight itself was only a 30 minute flight! Have also had some long waits here for luggage.

What do you expect from an airport?

Friendly staff who will help you as soon as you are too stupid for the signage. A signage that does not feel too stupid. What could be either better at Hamburg airport or was due to the mental derangement. But as soon as you were at an airport more than once, you know about it in this regard.

Otherwise you want as a traveler still good dining options, comfortable waiting areas with power connection for smartphones, laptops and everything else and of course clean toilets.

As far as everything is good and available at the Hamburg airport ;-)

Worst fast lane I know and in comparison to other airports extremely incompetent security staff. Today again a security employee has expressed alleged power through pure harassment. That throws a very bad picture on the airport Hamburg ...

Waited for luggage for 50 minutes after return flight from Egypt. As a frequent flyer, I have never experienced anything like this, the very last. To justify this with staff shortages is a mockery, since this grievance has existed for years.

Good airport.

Small and manageable.
We found everything clean. Also the toilets.
Arrival and departure no problem. Nice personel.
Fast food is also and the outdoor terrace towards the runway is great.
Somewhat too high parking fees.

In my opinion one of the quietest and most organized airports in the world

We have an inner-city city airport that works almost perfectly. There is something to complain about everywhere. You just have to search and if you do not like it, you can fly somewhere else!

The worst airport I have experienced for a long time. On arrival eternal waiting for luggage. On departure, an overfull terminal, not at peak time, and far too few baggage drop off options.
And those too slow and awkward, accordingly were the queues. Note: There are also some in Terminal 1, but you can not say how long the queues are there. In Munich, this has been done for two people in two minutes. Both Lufthansa and airport employees rather unfriendly and annoyed. Even before any security check madness queues, but the staff here were still by far the friendliest.
I said to my wife that flying is not fun. She proved me right!

As a Hamburger, I like the airport very much. But what I can't understand at all are the toilets, which are in a very unclean condition, especially in the evening, sometimes without paper and without disinfectants.
Truly no reputation for a cosmopolitan city. When will this finally be changed? We are frequent flyers and can make various comparisons with other European and international airports, which have this maintenance much better under control.

The worst security check I've had in 30 years and hundreds of flights. Contradictory orders among the staff that ends up paying the traveler. They recriminated me even for carrying 2 candies in my pocket !! They cannot treat travelers as if we were criminals or animals !!!

A very manageable airport and easy to navigate. BUT: No matter what time I fly and on which days, you always have to wait at the security check. There are only a few scanners and if there are more than 40 people, it can take longer. So, take time, because you can schonmal wait 30 minutes until you are through at check.

I think the airport is well arranged and friendly

Very clean, not too big, easy to navigate inside, nice duty free shops, option for tour inside the airside in the airport.

Far too few connections for a city airport and far too far from the city center

It's all quick and easy to understand. Even giving up your luggage is easy. There are also friendly and helpful staff. The prices in the bistros are ok.
