First World Hotel at Genting Resort World Reviews

Only one thing l checkedin about 220 was charged rm5. Infact 5 ringgit is nothing for genting. Rest all good.

Overcrowded for obvious reasons. World largest hotel at such a height.

Room is clean, but reception was poor. Waited more than 3 hrs then only manage to get to the room.

It will be more great if I'm entitle to stay on weekend

Great we stayd in a standard twin bed room at 12th floor mountain view, room is clean especially the toilet. The hot water and drinking water is provided just around the corridor. Its just the carpet maybe its old already that is why smell not so good. But overall stay very good restaurant and shop also nearby,great location. Will surely comeback for more

There is a check in kiosk machine and check out kiosk also very convenient.

Parking at first world hotel rm2 per hours weekdays rm3 for weekend and holiday per day is 12rm when we went there for 2 days we pay rm24.

It's a huge hotel complex, with extra long corridors on every floor... but tiny rooms.
To visit and enjoy the Genting Highlands, is to be moving around the whole day.
So I guess the tiny room is just for resting and refreshing the tired body

A the largest hotel in the world, it's no surprise that they offer a wide range of types of rooms for their guests to choose from. Personally I would avoid the most basic standard room. It's cramped. Basically it's just for you to sleep. You can't relax or enjoy the view, as there are no views. I'd recommend at least the Superior Deluxe room. But if able, I'd go for the World Club room. It's literally the perfect room for couples, friends or family. Just the right size, just the right features and decent views. When it comes to checking in, try to avoid the counters as it piles up and takes time. Try using the more efficient self-checking in kiosks.

As hotels go, this is not the best despite it being the largest hotel by room count in the world (circa 2015). However it's the preferred affordable range of hotels in the highland resort. There's no free WiFi, and the package I bought didn't include breakfast. I'm not sure if there's a free breakfast package even. There are four rows of rooms in each block and to of the rows are having no views (presumably cheaper). The aim of this hotel is for the guests to get hot showers and a place to sleep for the night. It's not meant to be a place to chill. There is a casino and the access to indoor theme park some 100 meters from the hotel

It gave me really good memory. I was participated on 21st choral & dancing festival held in here 6 years ago as a student. I still remember the place and I still got a stuff which I bought from there:)

Room not clean. Safe deposit box out of order. Standard dropped comparatively .

Hotel staff and receptionist are friendly, hope to have more 24 stalls in future.

Hotel is good! Service is OK. To be honest everyone is here for gambling, so yeah... Not much stay inside the hotel. Not much faciliticies just enough for staying at night

Hotel quality is equivalent to a 3 star.
Advantageous because it is located in a popular tourist attraction with nice cool temperature.
There is no lack of entertaining outlets such as Casino, cinemas, bowling, etc, food outlets from restaurants to fast foods to food courts, and shopping outlets comprising branded stuff, trendy fashions, local food stuff, souvenirs, and personal care stores, etc. There are also massage services and saloons within the vacinity.
A cable car ride from the mall will bring you to other places of interest including temple and farms, and the premium outlets with lots of eateries there as well.
Only drawbacks are the costly meals and heavy crowds at times, which can be frustrating and overwhelming, making the whole place felt like a rowdy market place.

Hotel breakfast is horrible. Only fruits are edible.

If you just need a night to bunk in, its a good basic place. I mean, your options are limited anyways

Hotel is huge but we had to wait for 3 hours to check in and lifts were slow too had to wait other 30 mins for the lift which was quite off all the other things were fine on the ok side

Yes yes yes! The best place in malaysia, genting highland. Never bored for being here! So exciting, can't to be there once again.

Lousy service. Making booking and can only check in after 530pm. System problem, end up 7pm then get my room number. Tooth brush and paste is chargeable. Room has smell and no clean.

Rooms are acceptable with basic amenities. the towels are too thin for a cold weather place. shopping is great with lots of food to choose and is a shopping paradise for ladies. price for massage is rather steep and only one company with two outlets. casino is fantastic but service should improve with waitress going round for drinks order. otherwise, it is near to a perfect stay. exterior look of the hotel should really get a new paint. it seems really run down outside and it looks like the mould had taken over the paint.

One of the largest hotels and it is famous among locals. There are many types of room to choose from and i would personally choose the super deluxe room with mountains view. Self check in is easy for everyone now to cut the waiting period. Special request such as same floor, rooms near lift, mountain view, double bed, and etc can be done with payment of rm5 each request. Why not the pay to suit your request.

Stayed at T3, 23rd floor room 966. The room is really small, and as the basin is located next to the shower, there is almost no privacy at all with other guests staying in the same room. Shower is isolated by a sliding door and has no lock. The toilet has no lock as well. We stayed in a Y5 Deluxe room, with 2 beds. Hairdryer is not able to blowdry hair at maximum for very long as it would overheat and stop working. No slippers were provided in the room as well. It is clean enough.

Very very very worst hotel. We stayed 4 rooms in here n all are cigarettes smell even we all are in different floor. Sooo tiny room with only a big fan. It doesnt suit to be called hotel. It is liked a losmen. The queue checkin also very extremely long both in counter desk or automated. When we faced with the man incharged also not friendly. I know they are tired but its not proffesional telling to the customer that just came and want to check in about their tiredness n their grumpyness. Definitely not recommended !!!

Additional: At last i can not stand it due to my red itchy eyes, blocked nose and keep sneezing so i go down to receptionist and ask for change room. This time the room no more cigarette smells howeverrrrr after stayed for 1 hour suddenly the fan stop working. So we sleep in that small room without any air circulation. We dont want to open the window coz it will be noisy n we can t sleep also later. And when we want to watch tv againnnnn remote can not working. I open the remote n battery is leakage. Really bad luck for me this time with the hotel

Fan power too low so hot in the room,toilet water too small,tv cannot connect usb,sinki is block the water.

We get connection room for 2 room booking which is great to is cos I have 4 children n we stay in connected together. Dun need to separate.

Cheaper choice of hotel in Genting. Easy access to casino, theme park, restaurants, and shopping area

The atmosphere is okay except the room is too small especially the separated toilets(Y5 triple room)

Do not provide disposable toothbrush set! Could not compete with even the cheapest hotel in China! I thought there are supposed to have a lot of Chinese tourists?

Indoor theme park is ready to be opened and provide entertainment to all.

Its a good and perfect accommodation with mid-rage price. Its affordable and comfortable to stay for a quick gateway from the city. Service is good, rooms are clean. They have self service water dispenser too outside the room. Check-ins are also self check-in and check-out at the kiosk if u have made reservation online, which are fast and easy, can get to avoid the queue. If you go with a bunch of friends or big families, can take two rooms with interconnection. Try getting the room with mountain view, the view is perfect.

Rooms are very conjusted or small but hotel is beutiful in other ways

It's ok for what it is. Room is cool enough to have no AC. Computer monitor size TV. Room was pretty quiet tho. Towels thin and rough. Overall. It's what it is for its price. Self check out a plus.

Brilliant experience staying here in Genting highlands. Very affordable and clean. The self check in is simple. Remember u have to pay a few ringits if u need a person to help u check in. Definitely stay here if u are at genting

It's not good.. Very compact room, no luxury.
Suggestion if you are travelling with girl friend or Wife. Definitely no for these rooms.

Very crowded, unorganized, dirty place.. only the sky cab and the outside view is worth experiencing.

The staff at the check in counter was working so slow like a turtle checking in a guest with at least 30minutes time, and yet not providing sufficient seats for people who wait especially family members , my wife fainted because I had to queue up for so long !

First World Plaza is the shopping mall located at the base of the First World Hotel, in Genting Highlands. When I visited in early May 2016, this is one place in Genting Highlands that families can spend a lot of time in. That is until the new theme park opens in a few years time. Located at the First World Hotel means parking is just plentiful, and this is probably the best place to park when visiting Genting Highlands if you drive up to the peak. Or if you arrive by the Genting Skyway cable car, there is a bit of walking needed to get here. The lower level LG is the First World Hotel lobby. The ground floor is where most of the attractions are. This placed was built to model many of the world's attraction in a single location, and they have done a very good job at it. When you come here, see if you can identify some of the attractions which includes the Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Petronas Twin Towers, NY Times Square, Venice etc. Good place for lots of photos with family members. You can say you have visited the "world" in just one location! This plaza also holds most of the food restaurants in Genting Highlands, and you can get economical fare such as Nasi Kandar and noodles, fast food, all the way to a premium dining in the Ah Yat Forum Abalone restaurant. If one fancies some cooler weather, one can visit the Snow World ice house. Plenty of attractions to keep the entire family busy for hours. There is even a small multi screen cineplex showing the latest movies. Overall, this is the place to be when coming with family if one is not keen to visit the casino. There is a casino located here as well. The First World Plaza is a definite visit if you come to Genting Highlands. Personally after visiting this place a couple of times, it's the same old, and unless Genting Resorts start bringing out something new soon (the new theme park for example), local visitors will not visit that often, except for escaping the heat and haze in KL city.

Quite often, i was given a wifi triple room. But, for the month of December, i couldnt get a Saturday as we only can go up on weekens only. Please help to get me a room on Any Saturday and would appreciate much. Anither thing is you said for the month of Oct, we can get doublr t points, but i dont think so. Please check. I have been trying hard to maintain the 300tpoints to maintain my gold status.

So so much food outlets. Plus light shows in the public areas. Huge inside plus Casino, shopping and cable cars down to the huge shopping outlets. Only Rm16 return for over 2 kilometres ride each way.

Very basic rooms. Check in process is very complicated if you have multiple rooms then it's quite a task. Inspite of booking early we couldn't get good rooms as it was all sold out
