First World Hotel at Genting Resort World Reviews

Genting is under extensive renovation throughout. Very crowded. Not much to do since most rides are decommissioned.

Room is spacious. Amenities is provided for a comfortable stay. Housekeeping is timely to tidy up and replenish used items.
Wide variety of eateries to select. Newly opened outdoor Metro City give another place to relax.

small bathroom & toilet, no wifi, need self prepare toothbrush & toothpaste. Self checking system loading a bit slow & without indication process status, thought not functioning but is in progress

I get free room once a month as a genting worldcard member, although I don't get weekends but still a benefit nonetheless

Great place for relax and enjoy the hotel, also for gambler as well hehehe but it will be bad idea for who wanna more explore downtown.. Coz when u dont buy return bus tiket to genting u could be get a trouble for transportation

Very disappointed with the service. I call reception to ask for a favor to keep my birthday cake as fridge in the room is too small to keep my 1 kg cake, and it was agreed through the phone and asked me to send my cake to reception. After long walk to reception (since the hotel is very big), and I was rejected immediately and mentioned hotel does not have big fridge to keep my 1 kg cake. This is really disappointing. I cannot believe such excuse and can't even imagine how can they said yes initially and turn to no immediately.
Celebrate birthday in Genting is really not advisable

No much to complain with the price paid, just corridor smelly & non smoking room got cigarette smell on the bed sheet

Indoor theme park is here. However a bit hot and stuffy in there. Need more ventilation.

Hi, just want to feedback you in regards about a incident i had encountered during my stay in your First World Hotel counter. I find that my hotel card was unable to access into my room, therefore i went to the customer counter to rectify the problem. i was told to wait for my turn as i need to join in the queue together with your quest whom had just arrive. I waited for an 1hr as your employees rectified my card, as i reach my room, the card is still unable to access. So i walk down again to the hotel counter which is 10min away from my room, your staff help me access the card again,but this time we request your room service staff to be around as we do not want to walk down to your counter if the card fail again.(we had walk though and from the room to your counter 3 times) Fortunately, your room service staff is around, the card that your counter staff had rectified fail again, it is your room service staff that help us to access into our room. I suggest in order to provide a better service to your fellow hotel quest, you should provide a counter just for handling those access key card , it is frustrating to wait for an hour just to have our card rectified, moreover it is in the early hours 4am. I hope that you will look into the issue i had mention.

Though the rooms are small and everything is stuffed. But overall the facilities and the activities provided in nearby are just awesome. Many things are under construction so within a year or two this place is a must visit.

Room lock no battery on 2nd night, cannot go into room, while day cannot replace battery, ended up need to pack up and change room for 3rd night.

I received a room key which can't open the room. This morning l try it again n found tat it's been occupied by others. It ends up l didn't have any room to stay. So, l share someone's room. That room no l receive this morning is 13969. Where can l make complaint?

New renovation for indoor theme park. Suitable for family holiday especially bring kids for joy

4 stars for Right beside the new All-in-one sky Avenue entertainment hub. Less 1 star for full of cigarette smoke at the centre stage where the new casino front entrance is located.

World largest hotel!!!! But the rooms so teeny weeny small!!!! Have a very hard time unpacking. Booked the Y5 Deluxe room, which is cheap and relatively clean. There is no aircon in the room, only a ceiling fan. The weather is cooling in Genting so you won t feel hot without the aircon. Surprisingly, there are 3 USB charging outlet in the room. Self checkin and checkout (you ll need that to process thousands of checkin and out everyday). Can be quite confusing for first timer. With the casino, large shopping arcade, theme park, restaurants, the whole family can practically have fun the whole day. The theme park is partially open. Some rides are still closed. The outdoor theme park is under construction. The entire Genting is huge, would be good if they provide a map. Things are a little on the expensive side. You can also take the cable car or free shuttle bus to the Chin Swee temple for a nice vegetarian meal and tour the temple. Further down the mountain, via the same cable cars, you will find premium outlet with lots more shops and restaurants.

A very basic hotel that offers a comfortable place to spend the night. Room is small that comes along with compact toilet and shower room.

Great experience..Rooms ambience is good..but window atmosphere is not much great..but felt happy to be part of biggest hotel..

If I could give zero stars, I would... It should be called World's Largest 'Budget' Hotel... For the price I paid, I did not get my money's worth...

Its not what I expected, rooms are really small, 2 stars hotel, not well serviced, once you reach hotel lobby you will be amazed of how beautiful the lobby is, but when you go up you will be shocked. Lefts are not centered between rooms, you need to walk a lot from the left to your room, if you got low floor room your room will be noisy due to vent generators and constructions, if you want to get a mountain view and high floor you have to pay extra for each option which is actually LAME!!
You can stay there for over night but I don't recommend it for more than a night

Too small room. So congested. Bathroom door no lock, no privacy. Refrigerator no snacks or drinks. Really low class. Shame on u, Genting Group !

No any transport go to premium outlet, when cable car under maintenance

Relax but room is too far from the lift especially for old folds. Suggest all interior rooms without views classified under standard room but mountain and therm park view rooms under deluxe, that will help to get near lift and will not confuse guest to take deluxe room but disappointed.

The cool air and wide array of entertainment options are the best!

Since it s available at check in kiosk, I request for queen bed size but get 2 single bed instead

Just great. Hotel is clean. Service is good. Great mountain views. No aircon or heaters as weather is good . There is a fan in the rooms. Good weather always. While i was here temp range was always less than 20 degrees Celsius. No wifi in room. You will need to purchase wifi which is available on lobby level only. It's about 10 Ringgit per day. Plenty of things to see and do. Many shops, restaurants and food stalls. There are chinese, Thai and western food restaurants. There is a KFC and MACs in the adjoining hotels. There are casinos but never been to one. You can book a taxi or private hire van to get back to Kuala Lumpur otherwise you will need to take a cable car down to the foot of Genting for all your buses to different destinations. Tour buses only available from this hotel for passengers going to Johor Bahru and Singapore. The fox studio and amusement park are currently being renovated. You will need to check with hotel if you are coming down to enjoy with your kids.
There is also a cinema if you feel like seeing a show. Seating is comfortable and spacious. A gymnasium for 20 Ringgit per visit.
This hotel is interconnected to the other hotels and there too you will find plenty to eat and shop. You will enjoy a great stay here.

Finally i got the moment in the one of biggest hotel in the world. The hotel is very crowded, but its so easy for check in-check out. You dont need face to face with person in reception table. The room is small, but more comfort and clean.

My stay was exciting and enjoyable this time,as i got a Superior Deluxe big room for me and my family.As everytime rooms our complimentary room are small to accommodate us.Hope to have more of this type of special complimentary rooms for us in the coming future.

This hotel is very large room, but unfortunately when I get there the weather is not as cold as before. So it is not as comfortable as first i came to genting

Smooth check in and excellent service by counter receptionist.

It was not that eventful as the rooms became smaller after renovations and the bathroom did not even had a shelf to hold the toiletries while showering. The room was not that clean and there was no WiFi. The hotel lobby also took some time to find and the ventilation was also unbearable. However, the bright side was that there were many shops underneath and the prices were also quite reasonable. However, I would not recommend this to families with children as it is not that family friendly.

Crowded i would say. Might be because i'm not familiar with it. Price as expected. Connected to the skyworld and other hotels. So, no need worry which hotel to stay. It all walking distance only

Tower 1 & 2 rooms are really basic. Bringing your own shampoo and body wash is recommended.

Indoor theme park closed until April. Tips, choose non-smoking room if you bring child. The smokes still come from other room.

generally great but our rooms were quite in a bad condition, dirty. i would give one star but i cannot blame the staff because i know its hard to manage
