First World Hotel at Genting Resort World Reviews

I really need to make this complaint, as we stayed there for two nights, we requested for housekeeping, but after housekeeping, floor was still very dirty especially in the corner area, dirts are everywhere. I am so disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. Furthermore, we booked for two nights, however, the key doesn t function on the second day. We need to walk all the way to the tower one lobby to get the key fix. There is a counter at XYZ hotel but the staff say he couldn t do anything for it. We must walk back all the way to Tower 1 lobby which I think is very troublesome for us especially for me and my husband at the age of 50 plus. Hopefully you can get this fix and let us have a better staying experience.

3 times changing room from level 6 to level 4. Communications among the staff are very poor. Different staff gave different information. If you are CHINESE FROM CHINA, you are lucky enough to be entertained so nicely but MALAYSIAN BEEN TREATED LIKE AN ALIEN. BASICALLY FIRST WORLD HOTEL IS JUST MAKING MONEY AND A BUDGET HOTEL THAT LOOKS LIKE 5 STAR. Better find other hotels unless you have so much money to stay at this low class hotel and go gambling to enjoy. RIP TAN SRI LIM GOH TONG, YOU DONT HAVE TO SEE THE WORSE OF THE WORSE.

Comfortable with many eateries and restaurants. Good for a short holiday. My only complaint was the pillows were too high which makes sleeping uncomfortable.

Very convenient as it is just next to Sky Avenue where all the nice food are located! Room is not big but it is worth the price and acceptable for short stay. Stayed at tower 3, newest tower of all 3 and the place still looks new after so many years.

The only problem is check in through counter is very very slow. Lack of counter staff on duty. I need to queue for 50 minutes to be attended. Hope your management could improve on this matter.

Things are getting more expensive in Genting. They are going up market. Though the rates in First World are lower comparatively but they do not provide toothbrush and toothpaste. No complimentary of minerals water. They have water point but you need to find a container if you have none. No more free parking and the parking rates are not on the low side.

It was a surprise to find tiny hairs on the sheet. Which means the sheet was not change. The vision 4 channels were not available during my few days stay.

Many restaurants no place for children playing. Focus only for casino

Outdated, Unsanitary, Unpleasant.
The three words I used to describe my latest stay with the hotel.
Check in process is super long, with the self-checkin machine and with the counter. We waited for about 45minutes in Line to talk with a hotel representative for our check-in process.
No Free Wi-Fi, it cost 10RM/hour or about 45RM/day.
We booked two large room (~$90/night per room) and we requested for non-smoking floor, however we got the smoking zone because there wasn t any available room on the non-smoking floor. The towel, blanket, and Pillow cover was super dirty... a lot of hair on the new towel.
Shower was fine, with running hot water and soap, shampoo, conditioner included.
There s no AirCon because it was supposed to be cold during the night.
There was a lot of noise from the outdoor (generator) running non-stop during the night, I got woken up several times because of the annoying sound.

The only good thing about this hotel is the super-fast check-out process. Simply insert your card to the express check-out machine.

Very small rooms. Not fit for over night stay. Limited to almost no ventilation. No outside view from the room.

Lovely place to waste a few days. Wonderful for little kids to visit and have lots of fun.

Stayed in the Y5K room in tower 3, room was pretty small.

Ok but not happy that some friends who come once in 3 mths can get world club, resorts htl n superior dlx rooms. They only play slots in d open casino n i come every month n gamble. I'm only getting tower3 room n hv been a gold fir 4.5yrs. My friends r new gold members n r treated much better wth earning 500gp n being gold. Y???

So far my stay in Genting First World hotel was great, comfortable, clean. I believe this year there are some renovation on First World hotel in order to maintain such quality for an old Hotel.
A small improvement is required If they can change the shower head, which is leaking. Then everything will be perfect.

Nice and cosy room with all amenities.. excellent choice for Y5 room..alway ask for valley view..

Great, friendly staff and easy Check in. If there is one thing to improve, I will say the stains on the water tap and water clog in the basin should be looked into.. Overall it is worth of money..

Did not stay here. Passed through the very crowded lobby area on the way to Snow World. Many different groups were checking in.
There appeared to be many automated check in machines.
The huge crowd made everything appear disorganized.

Very nice rooms in Tower 3 compared to the 2 older Towers. Got a bright and airy room. Space is still a premium, but hey, the main dish is the casino!

Very big hotel. Wish that i could go out to get some fresh air. All activities are mainly indoors.

The food is expensive, avg RM20/person.

It's really crowded, only good for little kids. Food and drinks are expensive as expected

Room is very basic, no wifi, no amenities. Anything additional would cost more. Just a hotel for spending the night

Old hotel. Very small room size. Expensive for what we get. Check-in through kiosk is complicated, and check-in through conventional Front Office will be charged another fee The only good thing about staying here is location, which is the same complex with Sky Avenue

small room but its okay for 2 pax in that room. just nice. no aircond, only got fan in the room but we also not on the fan during sleep caused the weather is very cold. pleasant stay. thank you for your complimentary room!

Overall was rating as Good service and room provided was acceptable.
Accordingly from gst to have a more free room stay in order for further extended gaming periods.

Make up sign was hung at 9am on 14 Dec. Return at 4pm room was still not clean.

Now with self booking and check in by using computer at lobby.... Got more than 30 computers can be use , which are better than traditional long query in front of customer service counter.

Average..a lot of ppl smoking around and strong smoke smell...room is small n looks old n dirty
