I'm grateful for this place they saved my dog but wasnt happy with how she was when she returned to me. She had poop on her butt and they supposedly clean after them all the time.. she wasnt very happy at all.. I didnt like the way she acted it was almost as if she was abused or just neglected.... took me awhile to get her back to normal and she still isn't quit right... people were nice though...

Quality and affordable care for your pets. While they take walk ins, I would really suggest making an appointment as your wait will be shorter. They helped cure problems for my pets, helped manage a terminal illness and when the time came, were very compassionate when euthanasia was appropriate for a couple of animals.

My poor old man. They were so sweet and gentle with him.

I have been in the facility it's clean a roomie waiting area the staff is friendly and caring they get to know your pet and help you with anything,I brought my sister's dog here for her several times he's a large dog with arthritis at times he needed help in and out of the car these people would come out and get him on a rolling cart so he didn't have to try and walk there amazing here very much recommend, our sweet big pet " Crybaby" took very I'll recently they done everything they could possible for him when it was time for him to pass on several tech's we're heartbroken as much as we were and there until the end

I can't believe it took me this many years to go to this location. I got in & out of there in a reasonable amount of time, the vet tech was AMAZING, the vet was AMAZING, the ladies in the front were AMAZING! They treated my Tank like the king he is. Aslo, had my 1yr old with me & the vet tech was very accommodating to her, even put Mickey mouse on for her.. definitely will continue to go here. I give them a 10 out of 10

This place is horrible! I wouldn't take any of my pets here again! They charged me close to 800.00 dollars and still couldn't tell me what was wrong with my dog! Made it seem like he was on his way out and couldn't do anything else for him! Took him to a "real" vet and he is 100% better! I wouldn't bring my pets here for shots!

Extremely nice people who know your pet means the world to you and do everything they can to help. They are low cost, take payments and have a food bank! The clinic is very clean and has plenty of seating and semi private areas to sit with your pet. They saved my Savannah when she was in labor needing an emergency C-section, staying until almost midnight! I couldn't be more grateful!!

Front desk staff was amazing! However, the Dr. assistant was very unwelcoming. He was border line rude. The prices were very high! I personally will not be going back to this clinic for my fur baby.

I love the care that they give you why you are there or even when your gone I just got off the phone with the doctor and she explained everything to me and answered every question I had in regards to my miracle and the price has not changed at all . I would recommend them to anyone any give day .

I made a 9:30 appointment to drop my cat off for an examination. Waited about an hour before we were sent to the exam room, and additional 20-25 minutes or so before we saw the vet. I understand they are very busy and wait times are probably long so I brushed it off.
I receive a phone call around 1 that my cat is done with his exam. I was told to come around 2:30 to give them time to get everything together and finish up, which I was totally fine with. I got here around two, waited until 2:30 before I was asked to pay for the services. Again, no big deal. An hour goes by and when I ask what s going on, they are still just getting his meds together. Finally we are moved to an exam room where we have been waiting an additional 40 minutes, because apparently we need to speak to the vet. It is now 4 o clock and I still do not have my cat. It should not take almost two hours to gather simple antibiotics and hand over my cat. Do not come here unless you plan to be here for your entire day

Fabulous vet services and very reasonable prices. Caring staff. My cat received excellent dental services. Was very pleased with communications from vet during process

Would give 5 stars but the wait time was an hour after the scheduled appointment.

5 hours wait time for walk in today for some pain medication. It might as well just be appointments only but even those take an hour or so. Quick service and nice staff members but horrible wait time, even when it doesn t seem to be busy.

Thw nicest staff ! Very clean , quickly seen ! Very compassionate!

Clean facility. Was a super quick appointment and they didn't charge an arm and a leg.

Always had good care here. They care for my 5 dogs. My little one loves coming to the vet.

I went to FCNMHP in a panic. My pet had been given a death sentence if I couldnt come up with the money for surgery. I showed them the diagnosis from our usual vet. They told me to go home and bring her back at once. I asked about payment and was told to go get my dog so they could get her out of danger and we would worry about payment later. Long story short, my pet got treated and is at home, healthy and happy. The cost was manageable and so much less then our usual vet. These people showed the same care and compassion for my pet that I have. Thank you Dr. Hogan and the entire staff. My rating for them is outstanding only because I cant think of a word higher then that.

Can't ever get someone on the phone. The only person that I have been impressed with was Chuck at Cassatt are which is the only one I would take my pets to. I hope I have his name right because he was so helpful and amazing for a very worried mom.

Very loving, caring staff when it comes to your pets. They are friendly and most helpful even with the epidemic hampering them.

Mixed emotions. This place has always been helpful & there when needed // last year I also spent over $1k on tests for my 6 yr old rescue which I was told had a tumor next to her heart & stomach. Months of major emotional turmoil on top of $$$$. But id still come back, for non-serious things. Cant beat cheap & easy...

These are great wonderful people they care about animals they went out of there way to save our cat he had a total blockage and could not use the bathroom they took him right in and got us set up on a payment plan so we could get him the right treatment they are truly gifts from God they care and have the skills needed to help animals we love this place and are so thankful of there dedication to helping pets

If you're like me and expected this clinic to be a place to seek low cost humanitarian aid for homeless pets you'd be sadly mistaken. All I wanted was help establishing a base line of health for an abandoned pet. Instead I got a lazy vet that barely took a look at the animal and then tried to tell me it needed a dental plan and a laundry list of other procedures to the tune of nearly $600. For that much I'd rather just go to a private clinic that doesn't waste over 2 hrs of my time, especially when I had an appointment.

Professionalism, they really care, low cost, non-profit. I made FCNMHP on Cassat Ave. our Facebook Charity too. And they are very helpful on the telephone.

Long wait, but worth the pricing. The vet knew exactly what was making our dog I'll withing a minute of diagnosing his symptoms. The treatment worked extremely well! Would highly recommend!

A negative experience with an extremely over done teeth extraction on my dog. Then inadequate follow up. Not given correct medications.

I had a terrible experience yesterday. I made an appointment appointmentfor a heartworm test on Thursday April 9 and when I got to my appointment I was asked to wait in my car due. To COVID. No problem. After 45 minutes I was called and the voice on the other end non chalantly said that they were out of heartworm tests and they couldnt take me. I was livid. I understand that in these times there are limited resources. I do not have have a problem with that. My problem lies with the fact that I feel like my time was completely wasted. I really feel disappointed as I adore the vet here and my baby loves coming here. I have referred many of my friends here too. I think it may be time to take my business elsewhere. Sad.

If I could give less stars I would. I show up for a 930 appointment to drop off my cat for a fecal/urinary examine.

11am rolls around before I see anyone. I made the appointment to drop my cat off and come back so they told me I would be called when to come back up. The phone call I received was about 1 o clock, I was told to be here at 230 to pick my cat up and be on my way. I showed up at 2pm just cuz I was in the area.

I am still here waiting to pick my cat up it s currently 430pm. I am furious, no one has talked to me or mentioned anything. It s a simple thing walk back get my cat bring him up I already paid for everything.

I will never bring any animal here under any circumstances ever again.

There was a very long wait just to check in for our appointment but it was made up for by Vet Techs Mel and Laura who went above and beyond for both our babies, one being very anxious and deaf. They were kind, listened to our concerns, and treated our dogs as if they were their own. It was such a relief as they are not the most cooperative dogs, but they made the best of it and stayed positive through the visit. We cannot thank them enough for their time and patience.

The vet was awesome. He sat on the floor with both my Chihuahua's so they didn't feel intimidated by him. Staff was great.

They took care of my sick pet and let me have a payment plan even though I didn't qualify for the credit plan. They care. The place was clean and well staffed when I went. I saw a lot of pit bulls in the waiting room as I was leaving but it was all in control. Wait time was long as it's first come, first served. The waiting area is large and wholly visible from the desk. Overall a good experience in a nice place. Still if I would have had cash I would have gone to Herschel because I brought pets there before and I think they have a little better pricing.

They're doing great things. Lot of caring people here.

I won t take my pets anywhere else. Low cost and affordable so during busy times there is a wait, but you can usually make an appt. Norwood is usually slammed so I go to Cassat.

My baby was turned away. They didn t even talk to me. They said we ve meet our quota for the day. I even called before going, they even said bring her in . She s going to die today. Thank you No more homeless pets for absolutely nothing.

They saved my cat, dog and even saved me money. Their staff is compassionate and very helpful.

The worst place, if you want to lose all your day this is the perfect place. They are slow and unprofessional.

Dr. Roese I would highly recommend! She has been patient and persistent with figuring out my puppies sickness. She really showed compassion and that goes a long way with me. Prices are reasonable! Thank you so much!

The one on Cassat was great! My daughter's cat was hit by a car. They took him right back, have him meds and did x-rays. The vet explain all the injuries and options. Then the office manager came with the billing options. Everyone there we came in contact with truly cared for the cat, my daughter, and my wallet. I'll never go anywhere else. The place was really nice inside. I was truly impressed. I could say so much more about how good we were treated, but take your fur buddy and see for yourself. God bless!

The staff are so kind and friendly. They helped my sick and dying pet when he was turned away by another vet. The doctors were awesome and explained everything to me in great detail. The cost was extremely affordable and they worked with me when I was in need. They were very loving and compassionate with my dog all the way until the end. I would definitely recommend them.

Waited on hold for 10mins to get a'Yes..' smh, No 'thank u for calling...', 'first coast... how can I help...', 'thank u for holding..'. please work on customer service skills...

We had been going here for a while. We take the dogs for their regular shots and the vet (Dr. Devika Bose) analyzes the tumor one of our dogs has while constantly making us seem like terrible people and like we are terrible dog owners because she has this tumor that we refused to get removed and that we were completely ruining her life. I don t personally like giving someone hundreds of dollars to talk to me that way. Before, when we discussed with the surgeon removing the tumor, they told us she had a heart murmur, removing the tumor will be very complicated, and if things get too complicated, they were just going to put her down so we didn t do it. So Dr. Bose takes her in the back to weigh her, when she comes back, her tumor was bleeding and there were red spots on the tumor. The vet was obviously acting real weird when we left. The next day my dog has deep hole in her tumor. Surprise her tumor has coincidentally ruptured. Unfortunately, I do not believe in coincidences and I do believe Dr. Bose did this to my dog. We went ahead and put her through surgery because it was our only option or we would lose our dog. Thankyou, Dr. Bose for giving me a reason to truly fear losing my dogs life.

Although my pet was so sick and didn't make it. The staff immediately took him to the back and tried to save him. They were super friendly.

They are always busy and it's always a bit of a wait but the care and love they have for pets is worth the time.

Great place for pet care. Kind, caring staff, very professional. They don't break the piggy bank.

I take my dog and my cat here. The wait is a little long, but what do you expect for a vet that that is great and so cheap!! The staff is friendly and they've always took really good care of my animals. The prices are amazing. If you can't afford it there you don't need an animal lol

Super bad attention a girl who works in the counter takes bad care of people bad attitude should not work with people It is not professional it was my first time here and more I never return for the bad treatment of that lady's staff super bad attention

Our appointment was at 3 and we re still sitting here for our animal at 4:33 doctor said he would call when the nurse came out no call no nurse no dog.

They are currently treating my Tiger kitten for panluek. He is doing better with a good appetite. He still has diarrhea which I will be taking him in Today. The clinic is very good in handling Tiger's condition. I trust they are doing everything possible to treat panluek which can be fatal to cats.

They saved my cats life when I had no money through the donations they get from others. They will do everything they can to help out your babies!

Best prices possible, and always friendly staff. The demand to get in here is understandably very high, so the earlier you can get in, the better. They've treated all of our pets one time or another for routine stuff and for things as serious as major dental surgery. I recommend them to everyone, they truly care and they don't aim to rip you off. There was even a code to save $100 on the aforementioned dental work on their website at the time. Can't say enough good things.

A non-profit organization dedicated to veterinary care for all pets. I won't go to any other vet in N. Florida. I feel like the people here really care about what they are doing, and treat both pet and guardian with dignity and respect, no matter what. Their cost for services is significantly lower than any other offices I've checked out in Duval county, and you get the exact same level of care. The hospital on Cassat even takes emergency walk-in cases, just like the emergency department of any human hospital.

Great staff and pricing. Always helpful and courteous.

Customer service what's great I prefer to go that's this one on Cassat than going to the one at Norwood overcrowded thank God no more pets to get neutered

The staff is on point. 140% to 150% in their service. Honestly, this is my new Veterinarian location. Great for active duty and veterans. They are understanding and so gentle with the pets, family, loved ones.

My dog got out of the fence. They notified me very quickly. There are some anazing people there.

Always a friendly greeting. The vets are knowledgeable and the prices are some of the best in town.

I thank God for the angels at this vet's office. They have a true love for animals .I had to do a walk in with my sweet little old girl, who is a long haired Chihuahua and she was very sick. It did take many hours, buy they did a parvo test within minutes of me checking her in. Once it was negative they welcomed us to the waiting room .Everyone was genuinely friendly. And they called her my baby, they understand the love a pet owner has for their pet. When I did finally see the vet, he was so delicate with my little girl and he talked to her during the entire exam, calling her baby and sweet girl, and you could hear the genuine concern for her in his tone .he had seen many patients that day, but I know for a fact that he cared for each individual fur baby, and did not just see them as the next number in line. I have no doubt that they saved my baby's life yesterday and I am eternally great full. Not that it matters, because I would have given them my last penny to save her, but it was EXTREMELY affordable. And they did not put the price of procedure before the treatment .I will NEVER take my fur babies to another vet.

They expected me to hand my 12 week old puppy to them and sit in my car without talking to the vet. Then they wanted to take him and do whatever without me seeing what they were doing. This was a new visit and I don't know your staff well enough to hand over my dog and bot see what you're doing. I've contacted a real vet who is very professional and does mobile visits. They had me confused with someone stupid.

This place is awesome, they did an awesome job with our dogs cremation and they've always been kind and considerate to everyone and helpful to ALL the animals.

Everyone there is amazing and always helpful. They walk you through what's going to be done with your furbaby and explain everything so you can understand. You can tell they love animals.

This place is HORRIBLE!!!! There is one worker there who's name is Julie, she is helpful for sure but 1 staff can't run the place on her own but she surely try to be very helpful as she's allowed. They can't even write prescriptions correctly. We spent 2 days trying to get the prescrption corrected. Even the pharmacy can't reach them, geez. They sporadically answer their phone so it took me a day to reach them, NONSENSE!!. Leave a message, no call back because they DON'T have no concern for your pets, JUST YOUR POCKETS!!. They took total advantage of my daughter when she took her dog there. She spent over $1000 including an overnight stay which they still didn't tell her what was wrong with it, plus prescribing specialized food, which cost like $80 a bag for a small chichuawa. They did tell her he has to go on very expensive food( they didn't tell her just HOW EXPENSIVE the food was gonna be). They gave her a prescription of Royal King food and snacks . Again, another very expensive food, but we didn't mind that part because we want him to get better and he did, WITHOUT anything they ordered bc we had such a terrible time filling his prescription, We finally was able to find a compound pharmacy at the Beach( we live in Orange Park) that filled the prescription AFTER jumping loops to get in touch with the vet. Geez. Everything was just ridiculous. Most vets will call to check up on your pet, not these folks. You can't even get them to even answer the phone. We will never return to this place, EVER!!
