My Cody throw up several times and had blood on his stool. I took him in and they thought he had one of the contagious disease so told us to go to the back of the building and someone will come and do the test. It took them another 20 mins with 3 buzzes on the intercom before someone actually come out to do the test then another 15 mins of wait for the result. The result came back negative. They want to do a check up on him and wont classify his case as urgent. Make us wait over 3 hours and we are still waiting. If they confident that he is not in an emergency state and there is nothing wrong then discharge him. We have always making appointment for our visit and if it wasnt for his urgent condition then I wouldnt have just do a walk in knowing the outrageous waiting time. Neither the tech or the doctor has exam him yet and they just call the front desk to declare us as a regular walk in. You would expect a clinic like this has more compassion and care. Very disappointed with the service from front desk to the vet tech.

2 months ago I was recommended here as a low cost emergency vet. I walked in and it was busy, which I understand. I came in around 230 and wasn't seen till about 630 leaving around 750. My dog had been very sick with symptoms I know could be very contagious to other dogs (he had signs of kennel cough which I know because Ive worked with dogs). Yet we waited and waited. We asked at one point how much longer it would be, as we were some of the last people in loby, and one of the vet techs admitted they missed him on the list. Long day things happen I get it, or tried to. None of the staff seemed apologetic to this fact. I finally go back and the doctor just didn't seem too concerned and not very attentive. No test were done besides his temperature taken and chest listened to. (My chief complaint was signs of a respiratory infection). She didn't seem to know what a lump on his face was (which later by a different vet was explained to be swelling from being sick). We left and ended up with antibiotics and told simply if he gets worse come back. That night his health continued to rapidly decline leading me to take him to another emergency vet because I certainly couldn't trust them.
The other vet took him back right away.
That vet actually did testing (blood test and chest xrays to be specific)and he had signs phenomena along with kennel cough with hospitalization needed. They confirmed he was highly contagious and needed to be quarantined till the illness left his system.
They may be low cost and that's appeasing but not worth it if you ask me.

I was able to bring my cat in to get fixed at a very low rate. They also gave him his shots as well as sent him home with pain meds for comfort. Me and my furr baby were treated with care and respect. I would recommend this place to anyone!

It's amazing help but be prepared for long call waits. Please remember that they help a lot of people. If you want quick responses go to a small owned vet. Their prices really helped when I needed emergency care on a sunday for an animal I adopted the day before.

FCNMHP is hands down the BEST place you can take your fur babies. Caring vet, great prices. They really care. I had to put my kitty, of 16 years, down there a few years ago (on Christmas Eve. The vet and the tech cried right along with me. I later received a card in the mail from them. Very compassionate and gentle with my baby. Excellent place for cremation. Provided me with paw prints, a beautiful hand carved wooden box for the cremains, a beautiful poem, some of my baby's fur. I've been taking my babies there ever since! I don't trust anyone else with my babies.

The vets are great, but there are lots of great vets in the city. They get one star (and less if the system would allow) because their office staff are some of the rudest people I've ever come into contact with, in my two decades of pet ownership. The first visit to the clinic, I made an appointment...and then waited for an hour and a half before we were called back to the exam room (all while being subjected to some of the most potent, foul-smelling air freshener I've ever experienced). Forget the cat waiting area, they allow large dogs to frequent the space, if they are aggressive to the other animals in the lobby. Once in the exam room, I waited another half an hour before a vet actually came into see my pet. After the exam, we waited another 30-minutes to check out (aka pay my bill) while watching several of the front desk staff chit chat with one another, claiming they couldn't help us, since they had already shut down their computers to head home for the day. Certainly, after spending nearly FOUR HOURS at the vet, for a routine check-up, WE wanted to go home as well.

During the exam, it was also determined that my animal had a UTI and needed antibiotics, so I was asked to bring them back for a re-check after a week of treatment. No problem, except that the clinic had ZERO appointments available that next week. It took three separate phone calls for the scheduling person to figure out the clinic's schedule and then told me to just bring the pet in as a walk-in. Given that appointments don't seem to mean much at the clinic, I obliged. Of course, we waited for an hour, continually being told we were next on the list. My pet was getting increasingly stressed, so I asked the front desk person if it was possible to just get the prescription food we needed and come back for the re-check later. She then proceeded to chide me for not having an appointment and said the next available one was a week away.

I felt like I was standing in an episode of Seinfeld. I will be going elsewhere for my pets' care, as they clearly don't need, nor care, about their clientele.

Staff was Friendly, Patient and Accommodating to all my consern and questions we up front about wait times and very knowledgeable about the different Program's and current offers for all pet's needs, I haven't been to the Facility yet but am confident that it will be just as positive of an experience when I'm the nervous Fur Mom having surgery on my babies next month! They care, they have payment plans. They took great care of my cat and even though he stayed a day longer than planned they honored the highest price quoted. They did surgery on my cat for about 1100 whereas other vets in town charged 3000 plus . Thank God for this place!

Does your vet value Policy or Pets? I needed help with a stray that I found at work during my lunch hour. I took the tiny kitten to this place, thinking I could drop the cat off, get him fed and checked-up and then pick-him up after work. Totally willing to pay for all procedures.

This place would not help me. Their "policy" says no pet can be there without the owner. Which is odd. My regular vet said it would be no problem. Co-workers said they drop off animals all the time.

I have seen the reviews for this place. I am sure that they do a good job. They just didn't go the extra mile for this little, abandoned cat.

Gee, ya try to help a stranded, little animal and you get grief for your efforts!

I found the little guy a home so the story has a happy ending.

Great care given to pets once you get in to see them. However, they seem to be very understaffed, they NEVER answer the phone, they never return calls or emails the same day. If your dog is sick and needs to be seen right away, be prepared to sit and wait for 4 hours, otherwise, be prepared to not get an appointment for 1 - 1.5 weeks...that's a week for an animal that is sick. I really like the care my pet has received here but it's so frustrating when you have a sick pet that you can't get in to be seen.

My original review was after just a couple visits that went great. Every visit after has been one mistake after another with repeating visits for things that were supposedly done when I was there. The last visit though, they almost killed my baby. I told the tech. that my dog can't have a neck lead he is in a harness because of esophageal damage. Brings him back with his harness off and chocking on a neck lead. A week and a half later he is still choking from their abuse! After waiting till 11 am to be seen when we were the first walk in and only then because I kept going to the front asking. I went asking for an ex ray of his abdomen because he is having a lot of pain in that area, they did blood work no ex ray. sent us home. I took him a couple days later to a different vet. He has prostate cancer and his bladder was about to erupt he needed catheterized to drain his bladder. I will never go back. My other rescue is supposed to be needing a rabies shot that I watched them give a couple months prior.

We so appreciate what they do here and love their wellness packages and such. I wouldn't recommend making this your "regular" vet, unless you just enjoy seeing a different vet every single time. Our doggo has some skin issues, and it was very difficult to keep everyone on track with everything, especially with seeing a different vet.

Granted, we have never had a "bad" experience here. They exist for a very important reason, and we love that they accept walk-ins. However, we felt (on numerous occasions) that they were so busy and so packed, that a lot of the vets weren't very thorough and just kind of rushed us through. So far, we've had one vet that we really, really liked and she was super thorough and patient with us. She got down on her hands and knees and actually took the time to examine my doggo, which means the world to me as a Dog Momma.

This isn't to down FCNMHP, we appreciate their services. It is a struggle, though, when all you're after is a thorough doctor who truly cares for their patients.

Horrible, i went their this morning, they turned me away, Recommend a couple of places that do emergency's. Mine was not an emergency, just had a tooth that was hanging by a thread. I just took my cat to a regular vet on San Juan, no appointment, had a lot of people there. I had to wait about 45 mins. and the price was very very reasonable. I'm willing to bet I would have paid more at this FCNMHP, on Cassat then this private vet. And i'm sure i would have probably have to wait 4 + hours. Last time I was there which had been about 4 years ago, had a bad experience as well, long wait time and overcharged. Never again.

I'm not happy with the service today, we checked in at 10:23 am, we only needed rabies vaccination and flea treatment for our 2 dogs, well after waiting for over and hour, I asked to see the manager, the front desk tech went into the back smiling at it was a joke then came out and said he will be right with you, the manager came out and spoke with me basically said I need to make and appointment next time I come in, he asked me what was I there for, I said rabies shots and flea treatment on 2 dogs. He then said I will check and see where their at in the back. He from the back at walked have way up to us and said they will be calling you soon into the back.

We get a call finally by a tech to be scene, she had committed that she expected me to be rude and obnoxious, I asked her who told her this, she wouldn't tell me who said it, the vet came in and took care of our animals and was nice to us.

We went to check out and had two free visits for our dogs from a previous incident that we waited 4 hour's for shots, the manager at first didn't want to take the coupons but after I made a complaint we were given them by the previous manager, he told the tech to charge us 5.00 dollars each because now each office visit cost 30.00 dollar's, their was question about my disability and at first weren't going to accept it.

After finally paying 73 dollars and change for the total office visit we left at 12:43.

WE REALIZE THAT EMERGENCIES TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER ALL OVER APPOINTMENTS OR WALK INS, THEIR WAS ONLY 1 WALK IN AHEAD OF US.

I KNOW THE OWNER IS GOING TO READ THIS AND REALLY NEEDS TO TRAIN THE FRONT DESK AREA BECAUSE, THEY SAID AFTER I ASKED THE SECOND TIME HOW MANY ARE STILL AHEAD OF US, SHE REPLIED, THEIRS NO WAY OF TELLING.

I brought my cat in, and whilst we were waiting, Cupcake had a seizure. They took her away, and jumped into action, they came up with a plan, and they said she was anemic, since I was working on a budget, they allowed me to pay 350 towards my bill, and told me they were going to raise money through angel fund! I've never had a better team of vets, and surely none my cat has been calm and friendly with. This is by far, the best animal hospital I've ever encountered!

Took my dog in for surgery. Scheduled surgery. Showed up for surgery time. They made me wait an hour. Got inside left my dog thinking she was having surgery. Nope only checked her. Came back and to pick her up scheduled her surgery again. Showed up and they bumped her for a couple days later. And didn't even bother to call us. We showed up again. Then on top of it , it was more than we quoted. I was there pretty late in the day and was standing around waiting and over heard a big wig lean over and tell one of the girls to go clean up some poop on the floor. And he just walked away. That really irks me to see that. Not impressed at all. He should of picked it up. I'm pretty sure he puts his pants on the same way as everyone else.

I've unfortunately been to this vet 6 times in the last two weeks. Every experience has been a good one. That speaks volumes about this clinic. Yeah, there is a wait, but this is the most affordable clinic around that knows what they're doing. It's worth the wait.

Made an appointment for 1:45. Checked in on time. Around 2:15- we were told we were a walk-in and it would take awhile . Verified that we had an appointment and was told we would be next . Eventually left at 2:45 when the receptionist told us that we would have to wait longer, and that it could take a long while. No we would not like to reschedule another appointment . Save your time.
