Fannin Surgicare Review

WARNING!!! I would suggest that no one use this facility's services on a Friday afternoon for day surgery purposes. The staff are so eager to start their weekend that they send you home while you are barely conscious, they do not provide you with a refreshment, and and they take your samples to pathology on the evening of the following Monday. So guess what? Yes, your tissue is of no use by then because the cells are no longer viable and you would have to do another surgery to get another sample. Talk about egregious!!!

Really poor experience here with office staff. The nurses and doctors are great. Office staff is overly strict about who can step up to the desk or not and at what time! We came in and I wasn t even in the system, and she suggested I wait an hour and a half for someone to come in. I told her no and she finally was able to find me. Would never come here again.

The customer service here is horrible even if you leave detailed messages and emails. I needed to know the pay amount, address, time I needed to arrive and pediatric pre-op instructions for my two children. I was left an voicemail that told me to go to their website which you could barely hear and they didn't spell out the name of the facility and didn't answer all my questions. My pre-op instructions were general and on the website, not specified for my children. I had to call my doctor's office to get general information. They will call you the day before your surgery but if your surgery is on a Monday, prepare to be annoyed because they when they call Friday, you'd better hope they don't leave you a message because you won't be able to call back and talk to anyone. I'm so glad that over the weekend they had a water leak and my kids surgery was moved to a different facility because I did not want to deal with this office staff or the pre-op nurse.

Firstly, the nurse and medical staff are great, no complaints there. Billing has not been a problem until today, I went on a four month payment plan for my High Deductible Plan which has been paid automatically each month, I literally have ONE WEEK LEFT before the last payment comes out and I get a call from a credit agency today. I have an 800+ credit score, I don't make late payments. I don't understand how an authorized payment plan can get turned over to a credit agency with one week left to go. Very upset at this, on top of that I can't get anyone to answer the phone during business hours.

The front desk and billing department are an absolute nightmare. Once you get to the back, the medical staff are quite sweet. But don't worry, you'll show up to your appointment and be told you owe an amount different than what your insurance company told you. Then they'll cancel your appointment while your standing there instead of calling your insurance. I had to get my doctor involved. Then they'll send any remaining balances you have to a collection agency without even calling or sending a bill in the mail. My phone number and address have not changed. There are no excuses. If you're ready for months on end of disputing charges on your credit history and dealing with a nightmare of front desk staff then make your way to Fannin Surgicare. Absolute worst.

There for scheduled surgery on 10 year old son. Couldnt have asked for a better experience. Other than horribly uncomfortable waiting room chairs, no complaints! Staff was excellent and treated my son as good as i could have asked. Great experience!!!

I have been trying for an entire month to receive my medical records without any success. I have both emailed and faxed release requests. I have also called on numerous occasions and left messages and still no response.

I'm about to go in for a second procedure. The first time I went I had a lot of fear but I'm completely comfortable this time. Of course Dr Hyman my foot doctor is absolutely the best he must have picked an awesome facility to work from. I was treated well. No fear in going back. Thanks guys!

Staff was quick and attentive to my son getting him ready for his procedure.

My first contact upon arrival at Fannin Surgicare was the receptionist. Amanda was most competent and happily guided me through the admissions paperwork. I was a little surprised to find a couple of errors on the admissions paperwork after I had spent so much time making sure that the pre-admissions information I entered online was accurate. But these errors were quickly corrected. I was then taken to the intake area by nurse Karen, who was very personable and helped prepare me for the upcoming medical procedure. At this point, anesthesiology nurse Leah came in and introduced herself to me and asked some questions concerning my health. After asking me if I had any questions about her part of the procedure, Leah started me on an IV. Kudos to Leah for being so gentle and finding a vein the first time--I really appreciated that. Anesthesiologist Dr. Peltier then came in and introduced herself to me, checked my paperwork, and then asked if she could explain any part of the anesthesia process. Surgical nurse Aretha arrived next. She assured me she would be with me throughout the surgery and explained what I should expect throughout the entire procedure. Then Aretha and Leah rolled me into surgery, and I was put to sleep. I remember nothing after that until I woke up in Recovery with nurse Michelle. While taking care of multiple patients, Michelle never went more than a few minutes without checking on me. She was very kind and patient with my nervous "chatting". Once I had completely recovered and was dressed for release, Dr. Haas came in to tell me how my procedure went and to ask if he could answer any questions for my wife or me. Let it be noted that Dr. Haas has a wonderful personality and bedside manner (not something you can say about every surgeon), in addition to being great at what he does. All in all, this was a great experience for a patient who was there because blood was found in his stool during a yearly physical. All these people were, first and foremost, professional, and, secondly, most compassionate and friendly to someone who was definitely out of his comfort zone and more than a little scared that day.

Facility is OK.
In regards to financial billing - they disregarded the doctor's notes!
Instead of "diagnostic s screening they billed for a treatment which increase charge to the insurance and co-pay.
Be careful and check EVERYTHING they give you to sign!

Entire staff was very kind and considerate through the entire process, even a day after follow up call. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

My daughter just had surgery a week ago i must say i always look to see something bad or a mean or unfriendly staff at some point when I go to a business. I didn't from the time I walked in the lady at the front desk greeted you told you what you needed to fill out and she did tell me her name I forgot and she was just full of energy. The staff at the back getting ready to prep my daughter where amazing they talked to us and my daughter and my son too. They eased her mind because she was panicing. Crying bad.I don't ask for much or to be treated differently regrdless of what type of insurance I have or race etc. Sometimes that is the case. The doctor cracked a joke here and there and did a great job with my daughter I even got a follow up call and they checked up on her. Also they had some nice little music in recovery room that got my daughter singing.5***** stars for me Thanks

I had a bladder sling surgery on 2-12-19.
I got here at 6am and was home by 9am.
I can't Express myself enough for all the kind and consideration I was given. I highly recommend Fannin Surgical.

The attention I experienced in this facility was amazing. The communications I was provided from day one was on point. Thank you to all the staff members from the receptionist, to all nurses and Drs. Im pleased of how everything went on the day of my surgery. I will definitely recommend this facility to family and friends and from the medical attention I received was superb. Thank you Fannin Surgicare to continue providing great medical attention even in this crazy times that we all are facing.

I am very impressed with the hospitality and service of this facility. I went in for a small procedure this morning and immediately felt welcomed by all the nurses, including the doctor that took care of me, Dr. Gibson. Let s just say this procedure was very tough for me to get done but the entire staff sympathized and took excellent care of me! I loved the fact that as soon as i was out of the OR the doctor went and directly spoke to my husband in detail letting him know how everything went. Thank you Dr. Gibson and the pre and post op nurses for giving me excellent quality care. We hope to never see you guys again but y all were awesome!!!

Felt like a chop shop ! Never felt comfortable horrible front desk n manager service ! Nobody ever called me before or after surgery horrible experience

This is a very unprofessional facility and I will never use them again I have never been to a facility twice in one day because they didn't do their job I got there this morning and they tell me I am out of network and they want out of network fees Left and came back Then they tell me the procedure is not cover .So today was a wasted day No procedure today after two trips Not Happy

Front desk staff was fine. Nurses during pre-op were great. I was told I would be monitored in recovery for a couple hours. But once I was in recovery, I was barely awake, forgot where I was, and just generally out of it. That didn t matter to the nurses. Because I was the last surgery of the day, they were ready to go home and told me to start getting dressed. I could barely sit up and my husband was just coming in after having talked to surgeon. Another nurse realized I was struggling and once I was dressed told me to lay in bead a few minutes. She got me sprite and crackers, but once those were done, it was time to go. I m still in shock over this. Not the way to treat patients. They re getting a lot of money for this. They could be more caring.
