Great variety of Folk Art from Kentucky Artists. They also have a small conference room with library.

Very interesting, local artists. Nice permanent collection. They switch out the permanent collection periodically so you could go back a couple times a year and see different things. This is a great representation of Appalachian folk art.

Great little museum, free admission. Worth the 5 minute drive off the Interstate.

We made an impulsive stop off the interstate. We are so glad we did! This is a great collection of folk art from around the state.

We stopped here because we were on a long road trip and looking for any excuse to stretch our legs. Some of the art work was really wild. Many different styles and mediums are represented. Definitely worth a stop. There weren't many other visitors, only one other couple, besides me and my two kids, probably because it's in a pretty nondescript building. It's not huge but if you appreciate folk art it can be a good 2-3 hours worth of looking.

This place is worth the stop. Lots of traditional folk art and some bizarre works that may surprise you.

A few really excellent artists, most not remarkable IMHO. Simple (rather clunky) chairs are not necessarily folk art because an older rural person made them by hand.

Excellent place to see a vast display of arts. Many are for sale! They welcome visitors. There is no charge to freely browse thru the beautiful facility.

A visit to the Kentucky Folk Art Center at Morwhead University is a great way to explore Kentucky culture and tradition through the eyes of local artists. The center features works both modern and traditional with affordable original offerings at the gift shop, some from artists featured in the gallery! Only minutes from I64 and North Daniel Boone National forest, it is a great stop if you are local, visiting or just passing through.

Have visited several times. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is nice. Art is awesome!

Absolutely adore the Kentucky Folk Art Center. Spent maybe an hour here and got to see some amazing pieces. If you enjoy folk art, this is the place to be!

I cannot begin to even express how much I love this gallery, especially as an artist and MSU student! The atmosphere is just lovely and everyone is very nice and polite. The art and artists here are always diverse and it's just a fun experience. I love it so very much

Great museum. But it would be great if they picked up the phone or fixed the phone line so that you did not always get a busy signal. It would also be great if they responded to their emails.

Not big, but certainly quality. The staff are so well educated on all the paintings and things, you can tell they really care. Only complaint- Fixing the phone :P Lol.

Amazing place to visit if you like folk art. Lots of history in Eastern Kentucky folk art. Very knowledgeable staff. Beautiful postcards and unique folk art gift-shop. Look for the giant rooster!

A great place for family to take in some art history, it's free and they have a nice little gift shop.

This is an awesome little museum showcasing quirky art pieces. Loved the rocking chairs. They also have a nice little store with loads of Kentucky gear.
