I was a client of Alpha Mortgage working with John Cunius during a recent real estate transaction. Alpha Mortgage did a phenomenal job processing the mortgage in a timely manner. John was extremely informative and always willing to answer any and all questions. He was able to put this buyer at ease during a very stressful period. If the time comes to ever refinance, I will surely use Alpha Mortgage again. I recommend anyone looking for a good Mortgage Broker and company to contact John Cunius at Alpha Mortgage. Mary Horrell at alpha mortgage and her team went above and beyond for our home buying experience from 4.5 hours away! They answered all my questions and still got us to close before the original closing date even with the hurricane that hit! I will recommend them to anyone!!!

I purchased my first home through Alpha Mortgage, working with Todd Perry. He was amazingly helpful, even on weekends and evenings. He answered every question I had as a first time home-buyer, and was always on point with paperwork and figures. I can't say enough good things about my experience. Finding a house in our price range was difficult, but Todd made sure there was never anything to worry about on his end. He cheerfully and tirelessly did workup after workup for houses, and after a couple non-starters due to seller issues, we finally closed on Thursday. Once we found the right house, he made buying a house one of the easiest things I've ever done.

Such great people to work with hassle free and very forth coming.

Worst experience ever. At some points I had to re-send emails after 3 to 4 days of no response. We were asked to present documentation a month after they received it the first time. We were never able to contact anyone by phone except for the receptionist. I would say that this company is less than professional. PROCEED WITH CAUTION.

I can t begin to tell you what an incredible experience it was working with alpha mortgage and Joey and his team. I recently went through a refinance on my primary residence and it took me 5 1/2 months and was a horrible process. When I went to Joey I said to him how long do you think it will take us to close On my secondary residence? He told me no longer than probably 60 days. We were closed in six weeks. Absolutely incredible! I felt like this was a incredibly superior experience and I would highly recommend this team!!

As a first time home buyer I found myself quickly overwhelmed in the whole buying process. After obtaining my first loan-I was not happy with the rate or the lenders and went home feeling like a dog with my tail between my legs. I walked in Alpha mortgage a few weeks later and had a new loan in less than an hour. Alpha was up front on their side of the deadlines, be forewarned though the department of veterans affairs likes to take their time! Heath was very professional and up front with all of our business and correspondence. The front receptionist was very courteous and ensured I had copies of all documents as well. Not to mention, the office view of the intercostal is awesome!

Tara and Brian were nothing short of amazing! They truly put the human aspect into buying a home and made us feel like their only clients! They saved our mortgage (and our dream of owning our home) after our original lender dropped us two days before our scheduled closing. My first home buying experience was very stressful because of the lender that I used and that experience made me nervous to purchase a home out of state and run into lender issues. Started out seemingly ok with refinance process. I was able to choose closing atty. Alpha dropped ball and did not get info to attorney in time losing my closing date. Originator quit? midway and no one informed me. They then set up a closing with an unknown attorney (without my permission) 2 weeks later. Just a sorry on their part. Not recommended at all .

I have nothing but good things to say about Alpha Mortgage and Tara Stewart, my LO and the rest of the team I worked with. I would never have believed that purchasing a home would be possible for me but they made it happen and even though it was tough, they kept at it. I have never felt like a company was on my side working towards accomplishing a goal for me as I did when working with Alpha Mortgage. Every other LO I went to simply said no but Alpha Mortgage not only said yes, they made it happen even when there were setbacks along the way. I've purchased two properties through Alpha Mortgage with John Cunius. The whole staff is very knowledgable and attentive. Additionally, buying a house as a freelance worker can be a nightmare, but the staff here do a great job of getting the right documents for the lender.

Where to even begin.... First of all, they aren't deserving of even 1 star. I have never worked with such an incompetent company with such horrible communication and so utterly disorganized. We were conducting two transactions simultaneously, a refi and a new loan for a vacation property. They never ordered the appraisal for the vaca home and I couldn't get any answers right up until 2 days before my closing date....had to reschedule closing multiple times. They constantly asked for the same paperwork over and over and had zero communication between employees. My settlement agency for the refi said they had never worked with a company that had such poor communication. They couldn't get things together for the refi and had to change the closing date for that too but they never told us or the settlement company. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Even after we met with a notary(which we paid for) and signed and sent the contract back they said they forgot some documents and we would need to meet with another notary and redo the whole thing which almost put us in breech of our contract deadline by literally 1 day. Not to mention requiring us to go meet with another person in a public place during a pandemic due to their negligence. Unfortunately I could go on and on...it was so unnecessarily stressful and one of the worst home buying experiences I've ever been a part of, and I'm a real estate agent! Its been 3 months and I'm still having problems with my loans because of Alpha Mortgage. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Oh and Im still waiting on a call back from the owner about the horrific experience. I guess I won't hold my breath waiting for that call.

Alpha Mortgage provided a loan for my mom to buy a house at age 87. They were great to work with, and we closed the loan within a few weeks. The loan officer was efficient and so kind and patient with her. We got a very low rate and I would recommend Alpha Mortgage to anyone buying a home.

I have been receiving cold calls from Alpha Mortgage and every time I ask to be placed on the do not call list, they hang up on me. So today, it took 3 times calling back before someone didn't hang up and said they would remove my number. I believe you must offer an opt-out if you are solicitation? Terrible business model.

My wife and I recently purchased our home using Alpha Mortgage. The loan process with Alpha Mortgage was less stressful than experiences I have had in the past. Dell Allen and her team kept me informed of the status of our loan throughout the process.

The initial application process was well done and all my questions were answered. The closing procedure however was a nightmare. Final closing numbers were impossible to get in a timely fashion and with the requirement of wire transfers each delay was costly. I had traveled 10 hours to make this run as smoothly as possible and was frustrated at every turn. My HUD was provided at the close of business on the day before an early morning closing with no time for modifications without incurring additional expense. As a customer my rating would have started out with a positive however, the last of my experience puts this totally in the negative column.

Everyone I came in contact with at Alpha was extremely helpful, knowledgable, quick, and friendly! They made the mortgage process simply and efficient! Tara Stewart and Katherine Stancil were great to work with!

This company is a scam. I have been contacted multiple times by various reps, all rudely asking me information about my current loan and credit. Whenever I asked any one of them for their companies identification, website or a manger, I was hung up upon. I spoke to Sydney, Louis, Katherine, Nick, Alex, ALex Wilson & John all within five minutes and they all hung up on me when I asked any questions about their company. I have not been able to get a manager on the phone and yet I still get calls from these people regularly. What fool would give their credit information to a company without verifying the company's credentials. Do not trust these people!

I recently closed on a property in Boiling Spring Lakes, NC. Using Alpha Mortgage was very professional and efficient. They were always available for questions in the process and completed the loan approval without any complications. I appreciate their helpfulness through the entire process. Heath Altman and his staff are commended for a job well done.
