The 2 stars I give this place are 1 for it being pet friendly and the other because of Ubika day spa. So many disappointing parts, right from the very start. When we arrived it was freezing cold and bucketing down, we drove up to the undercover entry where while they did take our larger bags, they then asked us to move the car due to a bus arriving shortly and that there might be some car spots down in the bottom carpark. There is no covered walkway and this was not an undercover carpark. There was no suggestion of moving off to the side until the bus had been and gone and no suggestion that they would see if someone else was available to follow us down to the carpark in the covered golf buggy, no valet parking option. Not a single place we ate here would even compare to a dodgy corner take away shop. While the staff were friendly, not one ever asked how the stay or the food was, when we did complain about the check in experience the staff member we told seemed very disinterested and just said that he would pass the information on. Unless you are needing somewhere to stay that is pet friendly I would definitely suggest looking elsewhere.

The hotel is very nice. There are a lot of facilities and very good environment. Heated pool's temperature is enough warm, gym equipment are a bit old. The food in restaurant are not bad. I like breakfast with the fresh juice made by myself. The room was a bit old but clean. The receptionist are friendly, but different people giving me the different information. It made me a bit confused ..... Overall, it was a nice place, I would come back for holiday....

Really enjoyed our stay and the beautiful tranquil surroundings. Staff was very friendly, rooms well presented and facilities are fantastic - something for everyone. On arrival there was cupcakes and a message written in chocolate for our daughters birthday - much appreciated.
We will be back thank you for a lovely weekend

Me and my family have been coming here in the last few years as we ve always had a good experience.

Perfect for kids, and the staff are warm and friendly. Our kids love the indoor play area and pool. On school holidays they run children s program which has various rides, craft, and movies, and Adam and Jane who run the activities are great with the kids.

I personally love the views and surrounds, it s relaxing. There are valley views from the internal restaurants and most of the resort faces onto nature making it feel secluded. The building and room has a nice charm about it.

It s next to a golf course, very short walk so it s convenient if you re a golfer like me. The golf clubhouse has good food for lunch or dinner, perfect after a round of golf.

All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The food at all the Embers, Jamisons and Sublime was delicious, nice large portions and good value. A great place to base yourself for walks/treks or visiting other areas of the blue mountains. But if you want to just hang out there is plenty to do with indoor (and outdoor) pool and spa, gym, library, health spa.

Pros- Outstanding views.

Pros- Outstanding views.
Breakfast inclusion menu was good
Beer on special for $5 between 5-7pm
Room was clean.
Cons- You Can't order room service unless organised a day prior. (We just wanted a coffee) at 7am though had to travel by car (10 min) to the nearest cafe to get one.
Food at the golf club was less than average.
If you haven't booked in for a massage the time you booked in then it's too late. We arrived on a Friday just after midday we went straight down to book something in, though we were the 20th in waiting line.
Our room was right next to the road to come in and out of the hotel. So we heard every single car. This comes annoying at night.
We asked reception for upgrading room (at our expense) but said none were available. Though don't believe this could have been, as the dining rooms were quite empty.
We used the milk in the bar fridge for a instant coffee and found that all the milk was OFF. Staff did replace it.
If you like cocktails expect to pay over $20

Edit: So we decided to have 1 more night here after a terrible Start. Unfortunately it didn't get any better. We also realised that the walls are paper thin and could hear the neighbours having abit of fun and the kids upstairs calling out to their parents at 6am.

Five star amenities but need to invest more in staff training to match. (Yes the staff are quite impeccable, individually, but if you wish to achieve the status a grand resort of the mountains, then still a certain esprit de corps is needed.)

The breath taking entrance surrounded by luscious garden gives you an inkling of whats in store when you make your way into the magnificent foyer. The decor is immaculate and oozes charm and the view from the restaurant is to die for - much like the food in fact. You see, my family and I didn't come here to stay, we came here to indulge ourselves in a high dining experience that we wouldn't forget, and let me say, our expectations were met. The food was excellent. It was fresh, tasty and of high quality. My parents and I were both impressed with the dishes that we received, and the experience was bolstered by the beautiful view. The two waitresses who dealt with us were very friendly and professional, polishing off our experience. The missing star however was a result of the portion sizes. The serving of chips my mum and I received along with our burgers was meagre at best and my dads meal was on the smaller side as well. This is to be expected however as small portions of high quality are the norm with fine dining experiences. Overall I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for either good food or good accommodation.

We stayed here as a family for 2 nights last year 2018. It was memorable stay and we loved it. I had some issue with the points for the Club. Tarsha from Acting Front Office Manager resolved the issue with upmost care. The customer service was truly impressive. Thank you Tarsha for her time and the manner with which she handled the situation.
We have booked again for our holiday, we are very looking forward for this absolutely amazing venue. Whether you are couple, family, or by yourself, it can cater for all sort of people and no need to go out of the resort since everything seem to be at the resort to enjoy and relax to. View is of course stunning just from the resort. Breakfast was impressive as well. Rooms are top notch and is really quite and peaceful. Looks like we will be coming back here often.

My partner and I were shown around as we are considering Fairmont Resort for our upcoming wedding. Maddie (the wedding coordinator) was lovely, friendly and had organised a booklet with plenty of information on ceremony locations on-site, the function rooms for the reception and accommodation options. We were shown all of the locations as well as room options. Maddie was very knowledgeable and answered many of our questions before we even had to ask. We are now waiting on a proposal to be put forward for our wedding and have decided to spend our anniversary (before the wedding) there to get a better feel for Fairmont. The resort is connected to the golf club/course and offers many recreational activities as well as day spa services to relax. The rooms are very reasonably priced. There are several dining options as well. Very quiet location with views of the lake, golf course or the Jamison Valley.

We went for a yuletide dinner. The only booking we could get was 5.30pm so we expected kids. My wife and I have previously stayed at the Fairmont and remember it as a classy and sophisticated place. This was our expectation this weekend when we booked for dinner. We planned our whole weekend in the mountains around the yuletide dinner. What we got was an average hotel buffet, ambience characterised by bright lighting, overcrowding and kids running everywhere. It was a waste of over $100 each. We can rarely get away and we are so disappointed. We wanted to provide the restaurant manager with feedback and waited 20 minutes at our table before giving up and leaving.

Great, comfortable place! Has all the bells & whistles with great service, and includes lovely views. Could do with some more car parking or a bus timetable, particularly when simultaneously holding weddings & conferences although neither interferred with each other. The hotel located a bit of a hike from town which is inconvenient when without car or bus if this factors into your decision-making. But a wonderful place to stay overall.

Well what can I say, I proposed to my wife here on April 1st 2004. Totally fooled her that I was tired and wanted to stop for the night, but had secretly booked a room, a restaurant, and bottle of champagne. Fooled her into saying YES. I win! The lovely staff NEARLY blew it when they welsomes us as "Mr and Mrs todd" (oops, but they didn't know). They DID however sneak a bottle of wine to us late as congratulations, and THEN let us stay out in the hottub an hour past everyone else so we could have the gardens to ourselves. 10/10 staff. 10/10 service.

My number one hotel and destination in the blue mountains. Great for kids. Activities like cross country segways, pony rides, pools, dedicated kids play rooms and arcade (with mirror maze). There is even a room to book if you have a dog! For the adults there is golf on site, fantastic bush walks and three restaurants. Toast marshmallows over the fire, or swim in either the indoor or outdoor pools all year round.

REALLY sad the outside hot tub is gone. Sitting out in the winter chill as steam rises into the stars. Unbeatable.

Underwhelming.

Underwhelming.

The hotel is outdated and despite the 'Christmas in July' decorations the hotel felt cold and unfestive.

The Spa, Sauna and other facilities were (understandably) closed but we were not notified until we arrived which was disappointing.

The room was small, it felt cold and the bathroom was also small and outdated. There was no character to the room or even artwork. The bed sheets felt itchy and did not have a proper duvet cover on.

The TV is locked to free to air and 8 Foxtel channels. There is no option to chrome-cast (connect your phone) or HTML so I could not connect my switch or laptop to watch Netflix.

There is also no free wifi UNLESS you sign up to the Accor program...

The walls are thin, we could hear (over 3 nights) a man aggressively coughing late at night and a family with two children in the afternoon and early mornings screaming...

The room service was average and expensive. For $70 we had a burger and fries, a club sandwich, Broccoli and a childrens pizza. It was delivered in a paper bag and foil containers. I understand we're in a pandemic... but it's a lot of money for a luke-warm takeaway meal.

When we checked out I did express check out and was charged an extra $10.00 because it was (credit) it was an eftpos card because I did express check out they automatically did credit... Like come-on guys. The fact this was not even explained to me was tragic, I had to call and ask why the extra change was made and the hotel attendant did not even offer a refund, just a 'sorry'. Obviously not his fault but the lack of communication was disappointing.

In all, I will not ever recommend this hotel, such a disappointing stay and too expensive especially when majority of the facilities are not available. I hope it regains it's spark when the pandemic eases, however I will not be back to witness it myself.

Staff a great and helpfull, wonderful hotel, great views and great meals. There were two issues however. When we arrived the car park was full and we had to park in number 3 (thats ok) but when it was time to bring the bags I asked if we could get any help (a person to help carry or the use of the golf cart or someone to drive us) we were met with "sorry you have to drive your car up to reception" (and loose your parking spot).
When i started to wheel a dollie over to the car someone from the concierge stepped up and asked what i was doing and immediately offered to take me over in a golf buggy (which is what i wanted in the first place)
The other unfortunate thing was that we were there when you were doing the gardening mulch and the entire reception level smelt (and it was a bad smell)

We occupied the resort as a family of five in two ...

We occupied the resort as a family of five in two generous interconnecting rooms with our preferred bedding configuration. The rooms were considered modern and larger than normal, with excellent amenities, storage, and lighting. Could'nt ask for anything more. The kids facilities were one of the best we've seen, enough to keep them occupied for those activity down times. The heated indoor pool and spa is second to none. The sheer size is perfect to accommodate a large number of people whilst still feeling comfortable. The day spa and associated facilities proved perfect for us parents. We as a family really found something for all of us within the property. Staff were all exceptional. Nothing was a problem, all were very attentive, and the fact that they would greet you as they passed you by shows that the hotel is committed to upper level service. When it came to dining options, the hotel provides a few however more attention is needed on the food and beverage aspect within. On our first night we dined at Embers, which was a nice formal setting with an open fireplace but still friendly enough for kids. When it came to ordering, unfortunately we were told that 4 of the limited choices were not available, including the "signature dish" which really put a damper on the start of the experience. All of the food was considered very good however just took too long to arrive at the table. Considering the restaurant doesn't hold too many guests, we couldn't see why this would be the case. On our second night we dined at Jamisons. For a bistro/buffet style restaurant the selection, presentation, and quality of the food on offer was considered quite poor. It really did not fit with the hotels accommodating nature and really needs to be overhauled, from a food perspective. Further, we ordered the same bottle of wine for dinner at Jamisons as we did the previous night at Embers. At Embers the wine was poured for tasting and for refills during dinner. At Jamisons the bottle was placed on the table unopened with pouring left to ourselves. Whilst I generally don't have an issue with this as were in a bistro/buffet style environment, I do have an issue with charging the same amount of money for the same bottle of wine in both environments with such vast difference in service. I would consider a separate wine menu for Jamisons which is in line with the dining style, pricing, and service. Other areas which we found disappointing included room service not being available for breakfast, which is quite strange, and the fact that you cannot get any late night food in the lobby/bar area after hours, and are told that the only option is room service at that time. For a hotel of this calibre, it's not that hard to provide guests with food in "any" area of the hotel when the kitchen is open for room service. I'd hate to see the reaction of corporate guests. On a final note, whist the coffee served within the resort was considered acceptable, in a country where the art of coffee has been embraced more than most others, the consideration of enthusiastic and proud baristas' to serve "excellent" coffee would'nt hurt. Overall however we were all very satisfied with the hotel and all it had to offer, and will definitely return and recommend it.

Really don't appreciate children running up & down the corridors at 10.30 pm.
Poorly designed shower & annoying that you have to get wet to turn the shower on.
No exhaust in bathroom.
$25 for 2 hot chocalates & cake i think is too expensive.
We did enjoy breakfast.
The Accor reservation centre is disappointing. We ended up calling hotel direct.

Didn't even get to stay here...booked a room for 2 nights mid-week for January 2020 back in February 2019, only to have it cancelled in September 2019 as "the resort will be taken over by an exclusive corporate event during your booking dates"...obviously worth more money to them than us little people. Offered alternate accommodation at the Hydro Majestic which was higher in price & Fairmont would suposedly cover the extra cost, but I had to book the new accommodation myself so I highly doubt I'd see any extra funds I had to fork out refunded. I also couldn't cancel my booking online after this, had to make contact with the provider after booking alternative accommodation elsewhere. Very disappointing!!!

The rooms are quaint and give a cozy lodge feeling. The lounge and reception area are nice and new. We booked at the spa however were not told the spa was under construction and would be having our treatments in a make-shift hotel room - very disappointing and should have been advised. The experience was not pleasant. The fine dining restaurant was great, lovely food. We stayed in the lounge/bar to relax however children were allowed to run around and play whilst adults attempted to enjoy their beverages and the surrounding. This actually ruined the experience as there is an entirely separate level for kids to play games, ball pit and arcade. The staff should consider all guests and advise parents to take children to a more appropriate area. We ended up spending a lot of time in our room as it was the only place to relax. Unfortunately, overall I wouldn't stay again if I were going back.

We stayed at Fairmont Resort for the weekend so that my husband could take some pictures of the autumn leaves in the Blue Mountains. The resort has such a beautiful setting and he ended up spending a lot of time there.
Our room is spacious and clean. All the hotel staff are very helpful and professional. Food at Embers is excellent. We probably will stay there again next autumn.

The hotel is showing its age and the rooms are in definite need of a makeover. Frayed carpet, knocked around furniture, bathroom with mouldy grout and the plumbing noises all night make the room not so peaceful. The staff overall were excellent and in particular the head of Embers, Eucalypt and Sublime Lounge should be congratulated. Unfortunately settling the bill was tedious with many errors on my bill.

We are currently staying here 3 nights after an amazing experience last year.
A little disappointed this time around.
We booked over the phone and was told breakfast was included, only to turn up at checkin to be told it was room only. Front desk sorted this out but was a minor hiccup. Only 1 of the 5 restaurants was open and we were told nothing was available until 9pm leaving our 7 year old with no food options apart from room service which we regrettedly purchased. After ordering, we were told 30mins..50mins later our food turned up, it was very very dry, as if it was under a heatlamp and forgotten about. The pizza was very average and not as described. The kids pasta was so dry it was barely eatable. The air con in our room did not work. The maintenance people did an awesome job in fixing it within 20mins. I wish we got the same level of love and care from the chef as we did the fridge mechanic!
Geographically this is a great place to stay, although the rooms need a revamp with ventilation in the bathrooms to get rid of the horrible mouldy odour. All in all we love staying here, we HOPE we were just unlucky this time round

All the staff we're lovely when we gave our feedback...room service meal was small servings for main meals. As well noisy with staff waking us up at 5am with chatting and pushing a trolley. Our room must have been near an entry point.

Your staff are very positive when we gave them the feedback and suggested months of the year where it wasn't as busy.
