Stayed for a couple of nights at the fairmont. We had a nice room with a view and were impressed with the staff but found a few things disappointing

1) the beautiful lounge bar with the fireplace where you used to have a drink before dinner has been turned into a restaurant. This detracted from our enjoyment.

2) we were allocated a disabled bathroom which had a shower with no glass wall which sprayed everywhere and no bath. I guess this was just bad luck due to their being no disabled people who needed that room and the hotel wanting to sell it.

3) we ordered a margarita pizza for room service and got a pizza with nothing but cheese.

4) the pool was full of kids to the point it was unusable to us. We did book at the end of the school holidays so I guess that was our mistake.

I don't want to seem mean because I am a long time Accor club member but we left a little bit disappointed.

Nice venue. We stopped in on the way back home from katoomba. The bar area was quite busy and there was quite a wait to get served, though it was a public holiday. Staff seemed friendly and apologised for the wait.

Great location, staff at the Embers bar/cafe were very lazy, they left tables dirty and messy, and I paid $6.50 for a cup of tea..not a pot, a single cup. That's ridiculous. It cost more than a cup of coffee and it's hot water and a teabag. Disappointed.

Platinum members stayed in contact with the Russia...

Platinum members stayed in contact with the Russian staff at the front desk for less than ten sentences. I felt indifferent. Although I had talked to her very friendly, I didn't respond. I just wanted to give me a room card and send me away. When I checked in, I took the children and checked in at the same time. The hotel would send Xiaohuang duck to the children. When we saw the little yellow ducks who had just checked in after lunch, my children asked me to want one. When she went to the member counter to ask the staff, she was a little impatient and put one on the stage. I hope that we will continue our own business at a glance. It may be that the self-proclaimed foreigners are arrogant towards me. But I think I have booked real money and paid the rent for the house and I am a Platinum member of Accor. The most basic courtesy of the guests.
In the evening, my child started to have a high fever of 39.8 degrees. I want to ask the front desk staff to take the water. The answer is that the hotel only provides two waters. I have to pay for the extra purchase. This is my first time to stay at the hotel to buy water myself, even though Platinum members are no exception, but I hope that the hotel industry mainly knows that it is the water used to save the lives of children, and it is the water that saves a child with a high fever of 39.8 degrees. When we were in desperate need of assistance in providing medical grounds, the front desk staff never gave us any care. The location of the hospital they were going to was wrong. We really wanted to cry on the highway, but looking at the year. Young children, we continue to ask for directions at the hotel next to the road, and finally find the hospital in the Blue Mountains. Is this indifferent hotel for people to live in?
After taking care of the children all night, the next morning, I asked the front desk to check out at 13:00. I hope that the children will have more time to rest, but the door is not there. We must check out at 12 o'clock on time. I think what kind of service is this. You will have family and children who have difficulties when going out. If you have empathy, you should not do this.
I strongly recommend that AccorHotels should take good care of these inhuman, non-respecting, uninformed, and unrespecting operators to warn us to maintain our members' long-term loyalty and sense of belonging to the group.

generally OK. Check in was slow. Room was quite well furnished - though carpet was pretty grotty. Food at breakfast was only adequate. Gym needs major overhaul (new cardio equipment in particular)

The hotel is pretty standard, expensive average food and the hotel is looking dated and tired. Although the kids facilities are good be aware that the children's activities are not all suitable for under 3s. This would have been a 2 or 3 star rating if it wasn't for the staff who were extremely pleasant, helpful and really went the extra mile. They really were brilliant and the best thing about the resort.

Went for a formal event, very nice and friendly staff. Also very accommodating and always happy to help in anyway they can. Comfortable seating and the mood is always a good one. A nice place to stay for a night or two, formal events or anything else you might think of. The bars have a wide range of drinks and the sydney brewery drinks are always a favourite. To summarise, was a great experience for me.

Fairmont Resort has many different facilities and the grounds are beautiful. I recommend to get here by car because the station is about a 30 to 40 minute walk away.
The room wasn't ready by the check-in time and we had a some problems with house keeping and staff attitude. However the assistant manager made it up to us and we're quite impressed.
The breakfast buffet was amazing with a juice and egg station!
I would recommend and come again.

Although the family room setup met our needs exactly it was the small things that we felt disappointment with. The heater wouldn't heat and we felt really cold in the mornings, no sugar for a hot tea in our room, the only restaurant open during the week was embers and all we wanted was a healthy light meal like a soup and there wasn't one!! (seriously Blue Mountains in winter equals soup). The pool was cold, I didn't enjoy the temperature and my daughter was blue within a few short minutes. Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful resort and the service and staff made our stay even more enjoyable. Our kids aged 6 and 2 loved the entire stay and there is so much to do from kids club to an indoor pool. They have yoga in the mornings and a free cinema with movies for kids and something for the adults of a night. Highly recommend!

To say I was disappointed in my stay would be an u...

To say I was disappointed in my stay would be an understatement. I have fallen into the marketing scheme of this supposedly luxurious resort. But, arrived at what felt like a cheap motel with a ridiculous price tag. The only thing the place had going for itself was the location and fancy lobby.

While in the room unpacking, my partner went to place their phone charger into the socket provided above the desk. The tv mounted to the wall above, suddenly falls entirely out of the wall, striking them on the way down. (God forbid a child wasn't close by) Although, maintenance was quick to fix the issue, and provided an excellent service. Management failure to follow up about the problem or render assistance. It felt like they completely disregarded the incident.

Due to COVID, several facilities were not in use. This is understandable. However, the price was the same.

I would recommend to everyone who is planning to stay at this resort, to sneak some snacks in your bag, as the food on-site is ridiculously priced. $7 for a standard hot chocolate and $30 for a cheaply made breakfast consisting of powdered eggs. Similarly, you'd think with the hefty price of the stay it would include some basics. You have to pay for Wifi each day and to watch a movie in your room is $15 a movie. This place just gets pricer and pricer.

Lastly, It would have to be one of the worst sleep I have ever experienced in a hotel. The aircon did not work properly, leaving us with an overheated bedroom. We tried to fix the issue by opening the windows where it was less than 3 degrees outside and still couldn't overcome the heat.

I would've given one star, but the maintenance man provided great service and saved a star for the team.

I'm very disappointed in my stay, please do not reply with a generic response.

An amazing place to stay in the blue mountains. Has a great location. Great restaurants around. Nice rooms. Great for all ages. The hotel is huge and their building new things such as an ice skating rink. I usually go during winter and they celebrate Christmas in July which is really fun and Santa comes to visit. So many great facilities. Theirs a kids club, spa, a cinema where you can watch movies for free, A gym, swimming pools, bowling, a merry go round, jungle gym, arcade games, table tennis, pony rides, a train for kids to ride on and so much more. I really recomened coming here.

My family and I stayed for two nights and the hotel is set in a really lovely setting with relaxing views of the mountains. That setting and the family friendly nature of the hotel are a good portion of the rating, with the hotel itself feeling its age a bit and a mix of great staff and average staff. With the room, it was a good size and had all the amenities, which included a new large screen which was great for kids (and supported streaming from our mobiles so we could watch movies without the need to sign up to the movie package). We had an issue with the bathroom exhaust fan which took a couple of requests before it was looked at and then they identified that it had been off for a few days (and that would have been for a series of rooms as they are all connected). The room was clean, decor getting on, and the wardrobe sliding door needed new rollers. Food at Embers was well cooked and tasty, though portion size wasn't great, particularly in line with the cost. Jamison's buffet for breakfast was good in terms of selection and the food was tasty, worth getting and the view is lovely in the morning (call out to the staff in the restaurant who were great). The kids areas are fun for all ages, with climbing areas, arcades (albeit paid), mirror room, and a fantastic movie theatre (good movies). We did a pony ride which was great for the five year old. The pool wasn't small kid friendly, which was a shame.

We had the most beautiful stay. The ladies at check-in were all very well presented, and very accommodating to our needs. We had a wedding, and they ensured an early check-in so my partner and I had plenty of time to get ready. We truly could not fault our visit, and at the time of booking, were a little taken aback at the cost per night, however once walking through those front doors, we realized it was completely worth every cent. The flowers throughout the chateau were beautiful, and our room was very spacious. The view of the blue mountains through those large glass windows from the foyer is just stunning. We entirely recommend The Fairmont, Leura and cannot thank them enough for their amazing, efficient and courteous hospitality. Thankyou, again.

While some aspects of our stay were good, such as ...

While some aspects of our stay were good, such as the location and my complimentary arrival gift for being a Gold Member, we had issues with both the bedding and the restaurant. I waited over an hour for one steak and 2 kids meals, we waited 30 mins just for the drinks, and I even had to go to the bar to order as I was left unattended for a full 15 mins at the table with a 6 and 4 year old. Our early, 6pm dinner wasn't concluded until 7:30pm.

I was then told I was going to be charged $25 for extra bedding when I asked for one of the daybeds to be made up for one of my children. I argued this profusely and was rather annoyed that I was being hit with a fee despite my booking CLEARLY stating that I was booking for 1 adult and 2 children. There was no mention of an additional fee in my booking information and when they claimed the cost was for labour I simply stated that I would make the bed myself but they can't possibly expect 3 people to share one bed! I shared with one child as it was, but you cannot charge people on arrival when a booking is made correctly. If you charge for 'extra bedding' then it should be part of the initial cost and not tacked on later. They waived the fee, but I should not have had to argue the point at all. I've worked in a hotel and we never expected a party of 3 to share one bed.

The resort facilities are absolutely lovely in a stunning setting. Check in was slow but that was because we arrived at the same time as a tour group. The conference catering was lovely, and the dinner that I had was great but on the expensive side. Breakfast was uninspiring and also expensive - I would have preferred a non-buffet option.

Thank you to all the friendly staff, with special thanks to the Chief of Concierge Adam. Adam truly loves what he does and went above and beyond to bring joy to our holiday. The vibes at this resort breath family getaway with so much for both adults and kids to enjoy. The food is also amazing. The dishes and deserts at Embers are exceptional. We can't wait to return

Room was extremely small for the price. First room had a blocked shower, manager wanted to "try and fix it". Explained we were there for two days to relax and not happy about people being in the room. Moved to a second room. Didn't realize until the next morning that the courtyard was right under the walkway to the recreation area and everyone could see everything from the glass doors, couldn't even let the sun in and kept the curtains closed the whole time we were there. Towels were extremely dry and rough, felt like exfoliator on our skin. Stains on couches. Mattress so hard we both woke up with back pain. Mini bar had goods missing from it and a half drunk bottle of wine. Extremely poor value for money with substandard rooms at an unreasonably high price. The buffet for dinner was so overpriced we could have gone elsewhere and had better food. All we had was the option of beef or pork roast with sides, about 3 salads and cheese and fruit. That's not a buffet! Would not recommend anyone stay here. The only people that were amazing were the concierge team, namely Adam who provided us with great advice on where to go and we enjoyed every minute of these locations!

This is our 10days wedding anniversary trip. We only stayed one night in Blue mountains. We found that the hotel staff had arranged everything before we arrive. There are lovely welcome gift and some congratulation card.We feel very surprised and delightful.
The resort is big and beautiful. Especially the restaurant, you can see very good blue mountains view while having breakfast! The out door area is also very nice. The view is beautiful like a painting! I took many wonderful photograph here.
The only disappoint is we book a superior room and no upgrade. But my friend booked a standard room and upgraded to the same room as me. We are both platinum member. I can understand this is upon available. But our wifes will compare while we were travelling at the same period.
Anyway, fairmont blue mountains resort is a high standard, good service and beautiful hotel. I will suggest this hotel to my friends.

We recently had the pleasure of staying here over the June long weekend. On booking, we received a complimentary upgrade along with breakfast. Our room was great, with views out over the valley. Loads to do - unfortunately Covid reduced activities at the resort, but still didn't disappoint. Staff were very friendly and professional whilst upholding all required social distancing laws. Highly recommended and will return. Cheers.

This place truely has everything! It is complete luxury set in the breathtaking national park. The staff are incredibly friendly and food amazing. My kids loved it and there was always something to keep them busy from the kids zone to pony rides to bushwalks. We stayed for 3 days and still did not manage to do it all. This has become one of my top rated hotels of all time. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful place but $360 per night was so overly priced for the room we had with a view of a tree branch. Buffet tea was also over priced at $51 per head for an average variety of food. Some staff were lovely and some were not. Poles need to be removed from some people. Wouldn't stay there but again but nice place to visit.
